Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Wolf and Reaper. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.
(Mistral.)
"You good?" Azul asked while he looked at Ruby while she was busy checking over Crescent Rose.
"Yep," Ruby added to which caused Azul to hum as he nodded and slowly looked around the room.
"Just checking, Rubes," Azul said, pausing only to click his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "Things are still weird all around, I guess," Azul said, looking at his holster, curious as to what would come to pass next.
He wasn't wrong when he said that things were rather weird. The more they thought about it? The more it felt like they weren't getting any answers. The bullhead was from Vale, raising more questions… And whoever had exited it had been sent to their quarters by Lionheart.
"I'm starting to think Lionheart ISN'T telling us anything," Azul stated while shaking his head.
"Hmm..." Ruby stated while shaking her head. "I'm going to guess something isn't going the way he wants. He's got a lot on his mind, but that doesn't help." Ruby added and turned to Azul as her boyfriend tucked her legs under his body once more.
He nodded while he cracked his fingers. Ruby could only hope that Azul was healing properly while she thought about it, every day seemed to slowly heal their relationship. She wanted to pursue Cinder, but not before she was sure they had some sort of plan, and neither had any mental baggage accompanying them.
"Has Qrow said anything yet?" Azul asked, clearly curious at the moment enough to ask.
"Nope," Ruby answered, looking around with obvious boredom. "Why, did he say something to you?" Ruby asked, curious as to what he could have told Azul.
"Nothing, I just heard you and him aren't talking," Azul stated, pointing his clawed finger at her. "I haven't heard from my parents, we didn't tell anyone in Patch yet… Unless they moved, I did have some letters that might have been unopened and all that." Azul added, clearly bored than anything.
Ruby was silent for a moment. Her thoughts turned to Yang and the others; she still had a team. Ruby guessed that Yang was probably leading a manhunt for whoever or whatever she believed had dragged her 'baby sister' away.
Weiss was probably rebuilding the city. She had heard enough about the rebuilding being overseen by Atlas as support for the kingdom. It brought a smile to Ruby's face knowing her teammate had decided to turn the company to help her new home… Though she probably wouldn't feel the same about Ruby leaving to deal with Cinder.
"Rubes, if you are still curious about before?" Azul asked, crossing his legs under his body at the moment. "Then I wouldn't blame you. There's a lot of thinking I've been able to do whenever I'm sleeping. I can't get that fight out of my head." Azul stated, crossing his arms as he looked around the room.
"Which one?" Ruby asked, checking a magazine before inserting it into Crescent Rose.
"The one with the scorpion Faunus," Azul stated, knowing what Ruby was getting at. "I'm well aware there's a LOT to unpack at the moment," Azul added, laying his head in the palm of his hand.
Ruby was about to respond to her boyfriend before the sound of a door opening turned the duo to the door to reveal the woman in question. Azul and Ruby drew their weapons at the same time, spreading out to attack from two different angles.
"I'm starting to think I trained you too much," Qrow added before he moved to the side, more curious about what happened next. "You know, someone from Vale was curious why two of his best students just up and left," Qrow added before stepping to the side fully.
The man behind them made them blink.
"Professor Ozpin?!" Both shouted as they looked at him with a surprise for him being here.
"I thought Cinder took you out during the battle of Vale," Azul said, sliding Violet Shadow back into its sheath.
"And I thought that EVERY one of my students was back at Beacon." Azul heard Ozpin state as the soft click of his cane was heard. "Yet two of said students decide to go towards hunting to the one woman who masterminded said attack… And is FAR more dangerous than you seem to believe her to be. I believe I need to remake the rest of the curriculum." Ozpin stated, a knowing smirk crossing his face.
He watched both gains shocked surprised glares written across their faces. Still? The man was more interested in anything at the moment. There were plenty of questions for him to answer… Yet he was quite happy to do so.
"I can only assume both of you have questions to be answered?" Ozpin asked while walking towards the couch to where he could only hope they thought clearly.
