An Unshakable Spirit

A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It based on the GAMES and NOT the anime version.

The Gym Pitch stadium was loud as per usual before any new challenge. Anani was the first among her three registered comrades, and she stood nervously before the crowd as Bea approached.

"Welcome, Gym Challenger...I'm Bea." she said with a bow.

"Ah...it's an honr." said Anani with a bow of her own, "M-My name is, Anani..."

"Anani..." Bea blinked, "Tell me...Do you have an unshakable spirit that won't be moved, no matter how you are attacked?" she wondered.

"I..." Anani blinked. She wasn;t sure hopw to answer that...and the woman before her just smiled, "I guess I will just have to test you on that and see for myself!" she grinned, "Go, Hitmontop!" she called out. The first Poke'mon was thrown.

"This will be a four on four battle!" said the announcer, "Let it begin!"

"Go, Bloo!" Anani, with ferocity, threw out her Drizzile. A Poke'mon who was normally lazy, but this time was full of fiery spirit.

"There she goes." said Hop on the side lines with marnie. Since they were registered for a battle with bea too, they got to watch the scene play out on the Telly in the Kiss and Cry.

"Good luck, Anani!" said Marnie.

"Now, Bloo!" Anani commanded, "Use Water Pulse!"

Taking to the air, her Drizzile leapt and let out an echoing cry that shot pulsating water directly onto bea's Hitmontop.

"And on the first move, Bea's Hitmontop is confused, a side effect that can sometimes happen as a result of Water Pulse!" said the announcer, "How will she fight back!?"

"Not quick enough!" said Anani, "Move in with Pound!"

"Ahh!" bea yelped as Hitmontop took a hard smack of the tail from Anani's flipping Drizzile, "S-So fast!"

"Hitmontop is unable to battle!" said the annoumcer, "The winner of this round goes to Anani and Drizzile!"

"Aw right yeah, that's the stuff!" Hop cheered while Marnie clapped after the fast moving display on the telly.

"Not bad, kid." said Bea, "Next I call upon Pangoro~!"

"A Pangoro, huh?" Anani blinked, "That's a fighting Dark Type...Maybe we can have a battle of bears if-"

"Drizzileee!"

"Huh!?" Anani stopped as her Drizzile's cry caught her attention and light began to envelope its body.

"My, what's this!?" Bea blinked.

"What do you know, folks!?" said the announcer, "Clearly challenger Anani and her Drizzile Bloo have trained long and hard together-and it shows! As it seems to be evolving now right before our eyes!"

Hop and marnie gasped as the watched the video footage of Anani's evolving Drizzile.

"Are you seein' this!?" Marnie blinked,m "I don't believe it!"

"Way to go, Anani!" Hop grinned.

"Intelleeeeeoooooooo~!" The battle cry of Anani's new Inteleon echows all around the stadium enticing louder than ever cheers.

"Bloo...are you saying you want to stay in this?" Anani blinked, "You don't want to switch out?"

"Inteleo~" Bloo smirked.

"Well folks it seems Anani's now evolved Poke'mon still wants to keep on fighting!" called the announcer, "But since evolving during a battle isn't against any rules, that means this still counts as Anani's first Poke'mon out of the four she is allowed to use!" he grinned, "Will she be able to stand up against Bea's second?"

"HaHaHa! Now THAT'S what i call fighting spirit!" Bea grinned, "Are you ready for me!?"

"You bet we are!" Anani grinned, "Now Bloo, use Snipe Shot!" she smirked, repeating the motion of the attack as she called it forth. A swift bullet of water shot straight through the Massive Pangoro, shaking its balance as it fell to one knee before standing and brushing it off.

"Well done, Pangoro, use Night Slash!" she declared. A Swift swipe dealt good damage to Inteleon...but it wasn't down yet.

"Nice shot, Bloo!" said Anani, "Now let's hit them again-"

"Not today!" cried Bea, "Use Circle Throw!" before Inteleon could take its shot it was tossed back forced into its Poke'ball, calling forth Shifty, though, it took on the form Punkoon, which only seemed to rile up Pangoro more.

"Oh no!" said Marnie, "Bea has forced out Anani's second Poke'mon!"

"Rubbish!" said Hop, "Anani's still got this!"

It didn't fool Anani. She smirked.

All right, Shifty...let's show her what we got!

"Use Shadow Ball!" Anani declared without holding anything back. Pangoro let out a harsh growl as it was hit by a ball of darkness.

"Don't take that from a Linoone!" said Bea, "Use Night Slash and knock it out of the rink!"

However Night Slash did less damage than she anticipated, siunce the Poke'mon in play wasn't a Linoone at all.

"And Zoroarks Illusions trick us all again as what we thought was a Linoone turned out to be this clever fox of darkness instead, making this Anani's second Poke'mon!" called the announcer, "How will she fair!?"

"You got them, Shifty!" said Anani, "Now fight back with a Night Slash of your own!" she declared. Though the damage was minimal.

"I've had enough of this one wouldn't you agree, Pangoro!?" asked Bea.

"Pangooooo!"

"Good! Then Use, Circle Throw!"

Zoroark's yelping cry was heard as it was forced back into its ball, taking a heap of damage against the fighting type move while at it.

"Oh, no!" Anani cried, this time, the real Linoone was forced to come into play.

"And with Circle Throw, we are met with Anani's number three Poke'mon." said the announcer, "The neither of Anani's Poke'mon fainted when hit with Circle Throw, such a move does limit her on her choices that she can use through out this battle." he stated.

"All right Punkoon, finish what Shifty started for you!" said Anani, "Use Take Down, with ALL of your strength!"

And that's exactly what Punkoon did. With all of its strength it used Take Down, not only knocking out Pangoro once and for all, but also itself from the recoil.

"Neither Linoone OR Pangoro are able to battle!" claimed the announcer, "This round is a draw, Bea still has two more Poke'mon and Anani also has Inteleon and Zoroark remaining, along with Mystery number four...who could it be?"

"Great job, Punkoon." Anani smiled calling back her partner, "Get lots of rest."

"I'm choosing Sir'fetchd!" Bea declared.

"Inteleon, come on back!" called Anani.

"It seems Anani has decided to bring Inteleon back to center stage!" said the announcer.

It was a fierce battled of inteligence between the two. But in the end, Inteleon's speed and inteligence won. Now they were down to the final match.

"This is the time to dig in our heels..." said Bea as she was down to her last partner, Machamp, "I'm not giving up...so neither should you!"

"You're right." said Anani as she called back her Inteleon, "Then for my forth and final partner, I call upon, Fuukuu!" she cried, sending Urshifu out.

"This is it..."Marnie said softly, "This last match decides it..."

"Come on, Anani..." Hop whispered softly with clenched fists, "You've got this!"

"As our last match...it should be full of fighting spirit." she declared, "Let's go, GIGANTIMAX!" called Bea.

"I couldn't agree more..." Anani grinned, "Let's go...DYNAMAX!"
Two massively strong beasts took to the field and brawled it out. Even being at a type disadvantage, Urshifu's own strength alone was enough to keep it standing all the way to the last move.

"Now is the time to show her all of the fighting spirit we have within us, Fuukuu!" she called it, "This is it...the final move, MAX AIR STREAM!"

Wind blew through the stadium, and the mighty did fall as Machamp was out of commission.

"Gym Leader Bea is out of usable Poke'mon..." claimed the announcer, "Our winner for this match is, Gym Challenger Anani!"

And the crowd went wild, both Urshifu and Anani, heated and out of breath grinned and fist bumped in victory while Bea stepped forward and spoke.

"I felt the fighting spirit ofyou and your Poke'mon as you led them into battle." said Bea, "In sync it was one you shared...your spirit truly is unshakable." she grinned and clasped her hand with Anani's, "Thank you for the battle." she said, "Battling against you and your team truly made my heart dance." she blinked, "While it's good to remain unshakable in battle...it is also good to be moved by battle as well." she smiled.

"Thank you." said Anani, gripping back in clasp, "It was an honor to face you as well." she smiled.

"I hope that you will meet many more trainers and have many more battles much like this one as well." she stated, "And I hope that each one of those encounters will nourish your own spirit."

These words of Bea's moved Anani as she danced through the encounters she's faced, meeting Marnie, meeting Bede, and every battle with Hop...and she smiled.

I think...you couldn't be more right about that...
