As Madara walked under the gate, he was a little depressed, "Can't believe the Madara Uchiha is going to school..."

He found out that he can't use his quirk in public unless he has a hero license, and with the persistent nagging of Midnight for him to enroll at the hero school U.A. he finally conceded and enrolled, as it was only for three years too, he could bear it.

The reason he decided to follow the law in this country is that he didn't want to be branded as a criminal so quickly, he's not scared but he preferred needless violence. Plus with Hashirama's cells enhancing his vitality which granted him a long lifetime, he could spend a few years avoiding unnecessary troubles.

After walking for a bit he heard a shout, "Fuck off, Deku!"

He turned to see a blond boy yelling at a green-haired boy, who looked freaked out, "Kacchan!"

"Don't stand in my way, or do you wanna fucking die?"

"He-Hey there! Good m-morning and l-let do our best-" the blond boy ignored him and walked ahead.

"How lively." as he was about to walk past the green-haired boy and their eyes met.

"..." But Madara didn't say anything and walked right past him.

He reached a large lecture hall with many students already seated, he chose a seat at the back and sat down.

A couple of minutes later, a man with long spiky blond hair spiked upward behind his head. He has a brown mustache and wears orange-tinted shades. He walked to the center of the podium and shouted,

"Welcome one and all to my live show! Everybody say heeeey!" but was met with a deathly silence.

"I've got shivers down my spine, too, listeners! All right, examinees.." he shouted while slightly shaking, "I'm gonna give you the low-down on how this'll go down! Are you ready?!" he seemed to have ignored the complete silence and shouted, "Yeah!"

"Now pay close attention! We'll be testing your mettle by running a ten-minute practice test at our replica city district! Now everybody gathers at the designated meeting area after the presentation, ya dig?"

"OKAY?!" He shouted again to be met with silence.

"We'll be sprinkling a large number of 'villains' over the battlefield, and they'll appear in three types, with point values scaled according to their difficulty!"

"Using each of your quirks, immobilize as many 'villains' as you can. Your goal, listeners, is to rack up points!" Mic told the students. And warned, "And don't think about attacking the other examinees, or any anti-hero stuff, because that's against the rule, got it?!"

Madara looked at his handout and saw four types of faux villains. Each one gives out 1 to 3 points respectively but the last one gives out zero points.

"The fourth one must serve some kind of special purpose of this exam..." Madara guessed.

While he was reading his handout, he heard mutters coming from the green-haired boy but he just ignored it.

"Excuse me, may I ask a question?" A spectacled boy raised his hand.

"!"

"On the handout, there are clearly four types of villains listed!, such an error would be the height of embarrassment for a top-tier national academy of U.A. caliber!" he turned to glare at the green-haired kid, "Moreover, what's with you? Yeah, you, curly-haired kid!"

"Can't you sit still, you're distracting the other examinees! If you think that U.A. is some pleasure jaunt, then you should leave this place!" he continued making the green-haired kid sink into his seat, "Sorry..."

This made the other examinees snickered at him.

"Okay, Okay, thanks for the segue, examinee 7111!" President Mic calmed them down and continued, "the fourth type of villain you'll encounter is with zero points! Let's call them 'arena traps'! Have any of you played 'super mario' before?!

"You remember those things that'd go thwomp on you?!" he continued, "There's a thing like that in each area! Their 'gimmick' is that they rampage when crowded!"

"I knew it, the fourth villain is to go on a rampage in a crowded area and he specifically told us to run away," Madara mused, "This would simulate the environment of a villain attack in a crowded street, and this test is to take note of any individuals who have the qualities to be a hero."

"Thank you very much! I apologize for being rude!" the bespectacled boy bowed ninety degrees.

President Mic continued, "Well, that's enough from me! I'll leave you all with a presentation on the "school precepts" of this academy of mine! As a certain 'hero' by the name of Napoleon Bonaparte once said 'A true hero never stops overcoming the misfortune in life'!"

He gave the examinees a look and said," Now let's move to the main event! 'Plus Ultra'! And may you all suffer gladly for the trials to come!" After that, they were led to their designated area for the practical exam.

Madara changed into a blue shirt, black sweatpants, and black sandals. After he arrived he found himself in front of the crowd, he felt stares on his back and this made him uncomfortable. Fortunately, he heard President Mic announce the start,

"Aaand start!"

Once he heard it he bolted inside leaving the other examinees stunned and confused, after he was inside, he jumped to the rooftop of a building to get a better view and scanned the city.

"Let see… There." Once he located where the villains were most crowded he jumped there using the rooftops. He ripped through those villains like paper, he was using only taijutsu.

"How fragile, but that's to be expected as this was just meant to be a test for students." He thought a little depressed as he hasn't been able to fight against anyone strong yet in this world, although the last time he fought was back when he was just transported to this world.

He has been learning academics and trained physically to regain his toned body. It didn't take long to learn years worth of academics and get his body back in shape.

In a dark room, there was a group of people who were observing numerous screens on the wall. They were the staff of U.A. The principal, a short figure with a mouse head said, "The strict time limit and a vast battleground, nothing quite like it to bring everyone's ardor into the open and uncover their skills!" and continued,

"The 'Insight' necessary to grasp the situation quickly and accurately."

"The 'Agility' to stick a dynamic entry without being late to the party."

"The 'Judgment' to face any obstacle with coolness and composure."

"And of course, sheer 'Fighting Prowess'...we can gauge their respective levels of foundational skills by the way of the points system," Nezu said with a small smile. He looked at the person next to him and asked,

"What do you think of this year's examinees, Aizawa?"

"Yeah, Madara! Tear them up!" They could hear the R18 Hero Midnight screaming in the background, hitting her whip in the air. But they ignored her.

Aizawa, the eraser hero, didn't reply immediately and continued to look at the black-haired boy who was tearing through the faux villains like they were made of paper. He finally replied without looking away from the screen,

"There are many potentials this year… but that one stood out from the rest is that one." he pointed to Madara's figure on the screen. Nezu heard this and smiled, "Oh my, we raked in a bumper this year, we can't be sure of that yet."

He reached out for a button and pressed it, "The thing to really test their mettle… is this!"

Madara finished clearing the villains of this area so he made his way up to the rooftop again.

"I got 81 points now" he heard an announcement again, "there are five minutes left!"

He began moving again but suddenly stopped and looked in a certain direction,

"About time…" after he said this there was an earthquake and a gigantic robot appeared and started destroying the buildings and began chasing the students.

Madara started making his way to the faux villain and once he arrived, he saw massive rubbles about to fall onto her, she managed to knock all of it aside with her giant hand but now the faux villain had its attention on her.

She was too late to react and was about to be flattened by its fist but he was faster, his body flickered in to grab her and escaped.

"Wha-what?!" She was confused at first but looked back to see a giant steel fist was where she was a second ago. She looked at her savior and found a spiky black-haired boy next to her,

"Thank you!" She smiled at him but he just nodded and jumped back in front of the giant steel behemoth.

"W-wait! Aren't you gonna run away?!" She saw him go back to the faux villain and tried to call out to him, but he was already far away.

Once he was in front of the robot he breathed in a lot of air then made a horse hand seal and superheated his chakra.

"I need to control the fire to not cause a fire in the surrounding…" Madara mentally told himself.

"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!" he spewed out a giant column of fire, he didn't make it into a sea of massive fire as he was in a city. The Jutsu made contact with the zero pointers and it was quickly enveloped in fire.

The Jutsu continued for a couple of seconds and after he stopped the Jutsu, all that remained of the gigantic robot was a giant charred and melted lump of steel. The zero falls to the ground causing a small earthquake.

"The test is over!" President Mic's voice rang over the whole city.

The other examinees' jaws fell open and their eyes were about to pop out. The girl from earlier finally reached Madara, "Hey! What a powerful quirk you have!" she said while her eyes were wide open. She gathered herself and said, "I came to say thanks for saving me earlier!" She smiled at him and continued, "My name is Itsuka Kendo by the way."

"Hnn" Madara just nodded and stared at her, this causing Itsuka to make an awkward smile and asked, "Want to tell me your name?"

"...Uchiha Madara." Madara finally gave a reply.

"Great! How about we go back together?" She smiled at him making him look at her silently for a few seconds.

She made an awkward face and was about to take back what she said then Madara said,

"Alright." This made her smile.

"Sweet! But how about he go take a check-up first?" She said to Madara who nodded.

As Madara and Itsuka walked, the students made way for them and exclamations rang out,

"Holy shit! Did you see how big that attack was?!"

"What a monster…"

"With quirk like that, he's probably got a lot of points!"

"..."

Madara ignored them and soon after finishing everything they reached the gate.

"Alright, we're finished!" she said with relief on her face.

"..." Madara remained silent.

"I still got some time left, how about we go get something to drink?"

"... Okay." Madara considered turning her down but he also wanted to spend time like a normal teenager and enjoy the little things.

They went to a cafe and exchanged contact information, afterward they bid goodbye to each other and went on their way home.

"That was… ordinary." He never did something so normal with kids his age when he was younger.

He lived a life of constant conflict and now he was experiencing some peace. "That was… fun."

Äfter he reached the apartment, Midnight wasn't home as she was busy with the entrance exam. So he cooked himself some dinner and left some for her in case she came back home later in the night.

He went to his room and laid down, "What an unexpected development…" he said and fell asleep shortly after.

One week later, a letter arrived for Madara from U.A.

Madara took it over to the living room and sat down on the couch.

"I did pretty well for both exams," he said and opened the latter and found a written letter and a circular object.

The object suddenly lit up and projected a hologram, "I am here as a projection!" All Might appeared on the hologram and with his trademark smile.

"You managed to save a fellow examinee and defeat the zero pointers as well!" he continued, "You have done incredibly well on your entrance exam! The judges were surprised with your last attack!"

"You have displayed perfect foundational skills, so work hard and I'm sure you can become a hero, young Madara!"

Madara looked at the hologram quietly and ignored being called young.

"So as not to waste any more time, I'll tell you the result!" the camera moved and showed a screen, "You have passed!"

The screen lit up, and All Might continued "You gained 81 villain points and 30 rescue points totaling 111 points.! You blew passed your competitors!"

"That much for beating the zero pointers?" he was a bit speechless.

"All right then, this is it and we shall see each other soon at U.A. as teacher and student!" and with that, the hologram ended.

Later that day, he got a text from Itsuka, "Hey Madara! Did you pass?"

"Aren you really going to ask me that?" Madara replied.

"I guess it wasn't that much of a challenge for you then." She waited but received no reply, "... Aren't you going to ask if I failed or passed?"

"Why should I?"

"... " She was speechless and replied with an angry emoji,

"Don't people ever tell you that you have an awful personality?!"

"Hmph." he paused,

"If you couldn't even pass that little test, then I would have misjudged you."

"... Anyway, congrats on passing!" She replied after a short while.

"...That guy!" At the end of the conversion, Itsuka made a frustrated smile, "I was just trying to check up on him!"

Madara saw that the chat went quiet so he went to his room and spent the rest of his day on the internet.

Spring Time, School has started and Madara was getting ready. He left the house after locking it, as Midnight was busy with teacher duty as it was the start of the term, she hadn't been home for too long and left earlier than Madara.

He wasn't worried about anyone breaking into the apartment and used a normal lock, as he laced the whole place with seals. He sealed the whole house and even placed some explosive tags.

"If anyone is foolish enough to break in, then they have to face the consequence." he thought darkly.

Of course, Midnight didn't know about this and he made sure that the seals wouldn't be set off by her accidentally. He attached some of his chakra onto a charm and gave it to her.

He specifically told her to keep it on her at all times, he trusted her enough for that.

This way, only Madara and Midnight can enter the place without triggering anything. He wasn't as good as the Uzumaki but he was confident in what he knew about seals.

He arrived at the classroom and surveyed it closely,

"I'm the first one to arrive?" He thought and looked for the best seat.

He looked for escape routes in case of an emergency, spots that are good for ambushes, and where to sit to get the most view and he could escape if necessary.

"That spot is good enough." he picked the furthest seat on the back of the class next to the window.

After a few minutes, the door opened revealing a bespectacled boy from the entrance exam.

"The overly serious and proud kid passed too?" he thought, being reminded of the trait being shared among most of the Uchiha.

"Ah! I see that someone is even more diligent than me, having arrived so early! As expected of U.A. to gather such students." He made a chopping gesture with his hand and walked over to Madara.

"Nice to meet you fellow classmate, My name is Tenya Ida!."

"Madara Uchiha." Madara said bluntly.

Then the door opened and more students began filling the classroom. And a blond kid entered the room with hands in his pockets.

"That the kid I saw at the gate before the exam…" the kid sat down and slammed his leg on the desk.

"Hey! Put your leg down!"Tenya walked to him and continued, "Don't put your leg on the desk! Don't you think that's disrespectful towards your classmates?!"

"No, as a matter of fact, I don't think so. Which middle school are you from anyway, you two-bit extra?!" the blond boy didn't back down.

"A private s- ahem. I'm from Soumei Junior High School. The name's Tenya Ida."

"Soumei~!?" the blond mocked, "Well, aren't you an elite. Seems I've got a reason to fucking end you after all!"

"A reason to 'end' me?!" Tenya looked freaked out by that, "What nerve! You, want to be a hero?!"

"What a lively bunch…" Madara quietly observes them.

They finally noticed the green-haired boy at the entrance. Tenya went to greet them,

"Hello, I'm Tenya Ida from Soumei-" he was cut off by the green-haired boy, "Oh yeah, haha, I overheard. Uhh… I'm Midoriya. Nice to meet you, Ida…" he said nervously.

"Midoriya… I must hand it to you. You divined the actual nature of the practical exam, didn't you?" Tenya made an unwilling face, "I… was blind to it! And I completely misread you! I hate to admit it, but you were the better man!"

"Deku…" Madara heard the blond boy mutter.

"Rivalry? …" Madara thought about the blond and green duo.

"Ah! It's you! Curly-hair kid!" another student opened the door.

"Glad I found you!" The auburn brown bob-cut girl said to Midoriya, startling him, "You made it, Just like President Mic said! Yay, go you! By the way, that punch was out of this world!"

Midoriya turned in a red tomato, "No, It's not like that, uhhh, that is to say, it was really all thank you for speaking on my behalf… I… uhhh.."

"..." Madara turned his attention away from them to the figure behind them.

"If you're gonna be hunting for buddies do it elsewhere." the duo turned to see a man in a sleeping bag on the floor.

"This is the…. Hero course!" he said as he sucked on an energy drink.

The sight of the man, made the whole class questioned, "Who the hell is this guy?!"

"Hmm, it took you all eight seconds to quiet down. Life is short, kids. You're all lacking in common sense." He said bluntly to the class, making them speechless.

"That's… the pro hero Eraserhead." Madara recognized him.

He didn't spend his time on the internet doing nothing. He has been observing heroes and one that caught his eyes was the erasing hero, Eraserhead. The thing that caught his attention was Eraserhead's quirk to cancel other quirks, although he doesn't appear in the media much and there isn't much information on him.

."I wonder if his quirk can cancel my Doujutsu?" Madara was intrigued.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta, pleasure meeting you." he said making the class surprised.

"Our homeroom teacher?!"

He reached into his sleeping bag and took out a sports uniform, "Wear these. Immediately. And then head off to the P.E. grounds."

After changing, Madara and the rest made their way to the P.E. ground as instructed. Once they were there they saw Aizawa was waiting for them and after everyone arrived he explained,

"Today, we're doing a quirk apprehension test." he said immediately, not wasting any time. This made some in the class question in shock, "A quirk apprehension test?!"

"What about the ceremony?! And the guidance counselor meeting?!" Uraraka asked but Aizawa answered without looking at her,

"If you want to be a hero, we don't have time for frilly niceties." he continued, "You all understand the school's reputation for freedom on campus. Well, that 'Freedom' goes for teachers, too."

This made them sweatdropped, "..."

This made Madara nod in approval, "Straight to the point huh. I can't complain."

"Softball pitch, standing long jump, 50-meter dash, endurance running, grip strength, sustained sideways jumps, upper body exercises, seated toe-touch." he continued, "These are all activities you know from middle school, naturally. Physical tests where you were barred from using quirks."

"The country still hasn't got around standardizing those sorts of records or keeping track of average performance levels. Well, that's negligence on the part of MEXT." he turned to Madara, "Madara, how far could you pitch a softball in middle school?"

"I've never attended middle school." This made everyone look at him in confusion, "I was homeschooled."

"What?!"

"Were you bullied so much at school that you were forced to be homeschooled!?" a small grape haired boy said, which earned a slap from a frog girl.

"They're lucky I'm not out bullying people instead." Madara's vein popped at the small boy's question.

Aizawa frowned at this but decided to find out about this later, "Try using your quirk, anything is fine as long as you don't leave the circle."

Madara went inside and pumped chakra into his fist, "This much should be enough."

Madara did a normal throwing motion but just before the ball left his hand he sent out a burst of chakra at the last moment. The ball flew straight into the air at neck-breaking speed.

Aizawa checked the device in his hand, "Before anything else, one must know what they're capable of."

"This is a rational metric that will form the basis of your 'Hero Foundation'." he showed the result to the class, which was 691 meters.

"691 meters?!"

"Awesome! That looks so fun!"

"We can use our quirk now?! That's the hero course for you!"

The class erupted which made Aizawa give them a stern look, "It looks fun… you say?"

"So you were planning to spend your three years here having a good ol' time? What happened to becoming heroes?" He continued, "All right then. In that case, let's add a new rule: the one who ranks last in total points will be judged 'Hopeless' and instantly expelled."

He gave the students a dark smile, "Our 'Freedom' means we dispense with students as we please! Welcome, to the… Hero course!"

"Rooting out the useless ones I see, I'm starting to like this school." Madara smirked.

"The kid who ranked last… gets expelled?!"

"This is our first day here! But even if it weren't… that's just too unreasonable!"

"The world is an unreasonable place, conflicts and crimes will always happen. So heroes have a duty to shoulder the responsibility and strive to protect this peace." The class was surprised at Madara's words.

"That's right. Natural disasters, massive accidents, ego-mad villains... all kinds of calamities can happen when we least expect them." Aizawa said, gaining the attention of everyone, "And it's our job as heroes to reverse and restore reason."

"If you were counting on a friendly chat at the local Mcdonald's after school, that's too bad. From now, for the next three years all you can expect from your life at U.A. is one hardship after the next." Aizawa smiled, "This is 'Plus Ultra', I expect you to overcome these trails and climb to the top."

The students had determination burning in their eyes as Aizawa continued, "Now then, that was the demonstration, time to step up to the plate."

And the quirk apprehension test began, the first trial was the 50-meter dash.

Madara saw Tenya speed with his engine quirk, making Tenya's time: 3.04 seconds.

"Pretty quick for a non-shinobi." Madara commented,

Then the blond boy's quirk caught his eyes, he was using his quirk to propel himself forward.

"And that kid's quirk is similar to the explosion release…" he noted.

"All right Madara, get to the starting line." Aizawa called out.

Madara went to the starting line and got into position. The auburn-haired girl tapped her clothes and also got into position. She turned to him and gave an encouraging smile, "Let's do our best!"

"Hmnn." Madara nodded just in time for the signal to begin.

Madara broke into the standard shinobi run, leaning forward and his arms outstretched behind him.

He instantly bolted to the finish line, making Madara's time: 2.03 seconds.

"Wow! He's fast!"

"Does he have a body enhancement quirk?" They were surprised at his speed, which was faster than Tenya.

For the second trial, it was the grip test. The machine in his hand showed that he has a grip strength of 210 kg.

"540 kg! What are you, a gorilla?! No, you're more of an octopus!"

He turned their attention to the boy with multiple limbs and thought, "It would be interesting to see him as a shinobi with those extra limbs…"

"Go go go!" the auburn-haired girl threw her ball which quickly flew toward the sky.

Aizawa showed the result making the class erupted,

"Infinity?!"

"Holy cow! She got an 'Infinity'!"

Madara looked at the floating ball that eventually disappeared from view. "I wonder what's the limit to her ability..."

Now it's Midoriya's turn to throw the ball. And Madara has yet to see anything special about the boy,

"What's his quirk?" Madara turned to Tenya,

"Probably a strength enhancement quirk but the last time I saw him use it, it broke his arm." Tenya looked worried.

"Midoriya's not doing so well, is he?"

"Of course not! He's quirkless!" the explosion boy said.

"A quirk that damages the user's body…" Madara looked at Midoriya closely.

"Quirkless? Didn't you see what he did at the entrance exam?"

"Hah?"

Madara ignored the two boys and focused his attention on Midoriya, "If his quirk damages his body then it makes sense that he didn't use them until now…"

Just then Madara noticed a presence nearby, it wasn't someone in his class. He looked to see All Might hiding behind a building.

"What's he doing here?"

Midoriya was about to throw and Madara saw the kid's arm glowed with energy. Then he saw Aizawa's hair stood up and the energy on Midoriya's arm disappeared.

"An ocular quirk…" Madara looked at Aizawa's eyes, it was glowing red.

"46 meters…" Midoriya's face was drained of color.

"Wha.. huh? I tried using it for sure just now…"

"I erased your quirk." Aizawa said, "It defies reason. How did somebody like you manage to enter this academy?"

"You erased it? And those goggles!... oh my god!" Midoriya shakingly said, "The erasing hero, 'Eraserhead'!"

The class was confused,

"'Eraser' who? Never heard of him!"

"I've just heard of him! He's a really underground hero!"

"From what I observed… you can't rein in your quirk's full power. Meaning you can't use it efficiently at all." Aizawa walked toward the boy and continued, "Did you believe someone would come to save you after you crippled yourself again?"

"He would be more of a liability than a hero if he can't control his quirk." Madara agreed.

"N-no, I didn't, I ju-" Aizawa cut him off, "Whatever you may have nursed of your imminent rescue. As you can see, nobody is in a position to come to your aid."

"There is a certain insufferable hero who made a name for himself rescuing over a thousand innocents from a disaster all by himself," Aizawa said, causing Madara to look at the figure hiding nearby.

"You've his brute courage... But all you'll manage to do is run around like a blockhead hero who needs saving himself. Face it, your 'Power' won't help you to become a hero, Izuku Midoriya." Aizawa stared at him sternly then deactivated his quirk.

"I gave you your quirk back… try the ball pitch a second time. Let's get this over with."

Midoriya looked downcast and went back inside the circle.

"Looks like he's had some coaching before, but…" Tenya muttered.

"He's gonna get expelled for sure." Explosion boy said with certainty.

Midoriya muttered something then tried again, but this time the ball exploded into the sky and his finger was broken.

"This kid…" Madara raised an eyebrow at him, "Instead of channeling his quirk on his arm, he did it on his finger. Sacrificing one of his fingers instead."

"Hmph." Madara gave a small smirk.

"I… I can still move!" Midoriya clenched his fist in tears.

"Hooo..!" Aizawa gave an approving smile.

"You finally got a record for a hero!" Auburn girl shouted.

"Your swollen finger reminds me of the entrance exam… what an odd quirk…" Tenya said.

"...!" Explosion boy eyes widened and rushed toward Midoriya, "What is this, Deku?! Explain now, shitrag!"

"Guhh-" but before he could reach Midoriya he was restrained by a long scarf, "Shit's this cloth?!"

"It's my special 'Capturing Weapon', A steel wire alloy woven with carbon nanofibers!'' Aizawa walked toward them, "Jeez, don't make me use my quirk so much… I've got dry eyes, Dammit!"

Aizawa released them, "We're wasting time. Prepare for the next trial."

The students gathered in front of Aizawa and he announced, "Time to present the results."

"The total is simply the aggregate sum of each of your scores. If I recited all your scores it'd take a million years, so I'll disclose them all at once." The device in his hand released a hologram.

"Oh yeah, that whole 'Expulsion' thing is a lie." He said, shocking the class.

"?!"

"It was a logical ruse to pull out your best performance." he gave an amused smile.

"Whaaaaat?!"

"C'mon guys, use your brains! Of course it was just a ruse!" A black-haired girl said.

"He's lying. If Midoriya hadn't shown that he wasn't hopeless then he would have been expelled…" Madara smirked at Aizawa causing the teacher to look at him for a second.

"And… right. With that, it's over. Your curriculum sheets are back in the classroom so give them a once-over." he turned away but turned around again, "And Midoriya, go to recovery girl and get yourself patched up. Since your eyeballs will doubtless pop out of their sockets at tomorrow's absurd ordeal."

After that, he walked away, and Madara looked at the scores and saw that he was the first place.

He went back to the classroom and picked up the curriculum sheets and went home. Once he arrived he saw Midnight was home this time.

"So how did it go? How was Aizawa?" Nemuri asked him from the living room.

"It was fine and Aizawa," he paused and looked at her, "He was an interesting man."
