The cafe was almost empty now.

Buffy took a deep breathe and looked outside the window glass smeared with raindrops. They were waiting for rain to be over so they could go home. One more day went in vain in job search. She wondered how long would it take to go back to waitressing.

"I am saying it again. We should go to San Francisco." Xander started again. His obsession with Silicon Valley was wearing off Buffy's hopes as well.

"I think you are right. It has been three months. I don't want to take Angel's help any more." Buffy sounded dejected. The idea of living one more month with Angel was terrifying. It was one thing to stay in two different towns and not get their hands on each other and it was completely different while living under one roof.

Willow didn't like the course of discussion and interrupted nervously. "I think we should wait. It is just a matter of time. All the other scoobies are already hired. Me, Giles, Andrew-if you count him as a scooby. And we don't need to live with Angel as well. You and Dawn can share an apartment with me and Andrew will surely take Xander as a roommate. There is no need to give up hope so easily."

"Easily?" Buffy raised her eye brows. "I am unable to face one more rejection from another security agency. I am tired of hearing that I am too short to be a personal bodyguard. And they were the good ones. Don't let me go on about the sexist ones who think a woman bodyguard is someone no one needs."

"Did you talk to Riley?" Willow asked. "I am sure he may have a position for you in military to kill HTS or whatever they were called."

"HSTs. Hostile Sub-terrestrials." Buffy rolled her eyes. "God knows how many times I heard this word. I left a message but I am not sure about working for military. Military jobs are kind of hierarchical in nature. You would never know what they order me to do tomorrow." Buffy said.

"I think any job will be better than no job." Willow said.

"How is your job search going?" Buffy asked Xander.

"I can get a job in construction anytime I want, but I want something more." Xander said dramatically.

"Are you sure you want to be an entrepreneur? I mean is it really your thing?" Willow asked making a face.

"Did I know construction was my thing? No. I did not. I roamed around, trusted my fate and made some experiments and Voila!" Xander said. "I think this is what you and me need to do. Some experiments."
