Lord Wylie was livid as he saw the destruction of his beautiful virus. It shouldn't have been possible but yet here they were.

It was perfect… It was flawless! Today was supposed to be my victory! This…

He lowered his head, growling a bit.

This is an embarrassment… But it's' not my fault… My so-called comrades betrayed me. All of them are spineless fools… including my own net navi.

I don't need them anyway… They don't share my vision. They don't deserve to be part of WWW.

Lord Wylie turned off the monitors around him, making his exit.

You may have all won today but mark my words.

After the battle was over, life started to go back to a semblance of normal.

The ex-members of WWW turned themselves in, though thanks to their help with the effort to defeat the Life Virus, they were allowed to pay back their wrongs with community service rather than just spending time in prison but would be under strict observation by the Net Savers.

Pharaohman returned to Sci-Labs, wanting to serve a system that would be worth protecting in his eyes… and nothing warmed his system more than being reunited with old friends.

Bass returned with Axl to Mikhail. Though, he was conflicted… It was nice to be somewhere familiar. (Although Mikhail was not sure what to do when Bass and Kalinka got along almost too well…) It would take time to build up trust again but, there was that first step.

While no one was sure what became of Lord Wylie, the Net Savers were determined to find him or at the very least, be ready for when he would return.

As for the Hikaris…

"Sound asleep."

Yuchiro chuckled as he found his son asleep on the couch, curled up in a blanket, his PET resting next to his head on a pillow.

"Been like that since he got home."

Haruka joined Yuchiro's side, bringing an arm around him.

"I'm just glad you're both home."

"You and me both." Yuchiro rested his head against hers. "It's been… a week. That's for sure."

"It has."

Haruka closed her eyes.

"Next week, how about the most we worry about is making sure Lan passes his next school exam?"

"I like that… Though, let's remember… he's got more than that now."

"He's too young to be a Net Saver…"

Yuichiro kissed her head, bringing her closer.

"I'll keep an eye out for him… and I was the same age when I was fighting."

Haruka gave him a warning look.

"Oh, I remember your "cool" phase."

Yuichiro gave her a gentle one in return, resting his forehead against hers.

"I promise, I'll keep them safe… but Lan does want this."

"... Fine. However, at the first hint that the boys are in over their heads, I'm stepping in. Deal?"

"Deal."

The two made their way over to the couch, adjusting Lan and his PET so he was in both their arms. Lan smiled in his sleep… as did Megaman, the net navi curled up in his bed.

The parents smiled at this, closing their eyes, sighing contently.

But I think for now… We all earned a rest.
