A/N sorry for the late update, I've had a chaotic few weeks. Hopefully this is that last time. Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 19: Television man

The sleeping duo soon awoke in a small house that the others seemed to have dragged them into after they took their little nap.

"Are you guys okay?" Mono asked.

"Yea..." Six replied. "I just... things have just been so stressful recently... that thing in the sewer... I just saw red."

"Same here... getting shot, crushed, impaled..." Mike shook his head. "I just lost it."

"It's fine... You both probably saved us and definitely helped us make it this far. Look, we're almost to the tower." Frisk pointed to the tower in question. Turns out, the sewer was a great shortcut. "It should just be a hop, skip, and a jump unil we get there."

"I hope so... but I'm still feeling beat... You think we can rest for just a little while longer?" Mike asked. Chara peaked outside.

"I don't see anything... I think we're good to rest for a bit." Six and Mike sighed as they laid back down and rested while the others milled about and explored the house. They had been so busy caring for the two that they didn't take the time to see what was what. So, they went off exploring. It was a quant house, pretty boring. It was how they imagined a house to look: curtains that were tarnished, couches and beds that have been soiled due to the weather, decayed wood and spoilt food. Yep. Home sweet home. However... there was one anomaly in this house... and Mono was the one to catch it. In a room tucked away in a corner, he saw a tv sitting in the middle. It was undamaged and was even turned on despite not being plugged into any obvious power supply. He absentmindedly wandered into the room while the others continued to explore.

"What are we gonna find once we get to the tower?" Frisk asked.

"I dunno. Something. I see all these posters around the place advertising it. It's... it's almost like it's being worshiped." Chara replied.

"Why would anyone worship a signal tower? Were these people that obsessed with television?"

"Beats me... but you saw what happened earlier with that guy? He rammed himself right into the tv and killed himself. No thought. No second guesses. Just tv." There was no obvious answers to these questions, only speculation... hopefully they'd get answers soon. They explored for a bit more before returning to Mike and Six.

"Find anything interesting?" Mike asked.

"Not really. It's just a house." Frisk replied.

"Wait... Mono isn't with you, where is he?" Six asked. Frisk and Chara blinked a bit in confusion before looking back to realize that Mono indeed was not with them.

"He... He was right behind us! Just a second ago!" She exclaimed. The two frantically searched for their lost friend, but he soon showed back up... but he wasn't alone.

"Run!" Mono shouted. The others blinked at him, confused, until they saw the man behind him in close pursuit. The man was tall, thin, and wore old fashioned clothes. His face was stoic and he was clearly a man on a mission. The thin man began to chase the children as they ran... but strange things began to occur as they tried to escape. Time seemed to...bend and slow for them while time sped up for the thin man. While he looked to be walking at a normal pace, he moved much quicker and vice versa for the kids. However, they persisted, and managed to keep him just out of their reach. There was one unfortunate thing, however... They were being chased into a room that had no exit, and they couldn't go back because that's where the thin man was. They had no choice but to pick a spot in that room and hide. And so they did. And they waited. And waited... and waited... They almost, for a moment, believed he was gone, and that they were safe. But they could not have been more wrong. Just as things got quiet, the door burst open and in came the thin man. He scanned the room and picked a target: Which unfortunately happened to be Six. Six realized this and screamed as she tried to run away, but the thin man seemed to have telepathic abilities. He 'grabbed' her and began to pull her towards him. She cried out and reached for help. Mono tried to grab her, but he was suddenly struck with a massive migraine that rendered him immobile. However, this only affected him. Frisk leapt out from her hiding spot and clung tight to Six's hands.

"I won't let you go! I won't let him take you!" She yelled. Six's lip quivered ever so slightly. The uncertainty... the fear... Unfortunately... Frisk's strength wasn't enough. The thin man easily overpowered them and took them away. The others screamed out for them, but it was too late. They were gone. Taken by the thin man. Mike and Chara stood there in shock and disbelief. It had all happened so fast... one second they were safe and sound... next...

"Wait..." Mono mumbled after recovering from his headache. The siblings looked back at him as he began walking towards the tv that was still on. "Something's... strange... Grab on to me." They cocked their heads at him.

"What are you planning?"

"Just trust me." They grabbed onto his coat and held on tight while he pressed himself to the tv screen. Nothing happened at first, but then he began to slowly melt into the tv, taking Mike and Chara with them. They were alarmed to say the least, but Mono seemed to know what the was doing so they trusted him. A few moments later, they were sucked into the tv then immediately spat back out somewhere else.

"What... how did you...? huh?!" Chara exclaimed.

"I don't know... but I think we can use this to get to the tower and save the girls."

"I hope so... but what about-" Mike began to say, but he was interrupted by the very thing he was talking about: the thin man had returned, and he was going to finish what he started.
