A/N Hey everyone. I know I said things were back on track, and they are, but the reason I haven't been uploading is because my phone (Which I've been using for the past few years) just died a few days ago. However, I've found a workaround: My laptop. I recently got internet for it now I should be able to pump out better quality chapters with much less spelling errors. Also, to make up for my slacking, I'm going to be uploading a chapter a day for the next three days until we're back on track. Again, I can't apologize enough, but at least this time it wasn't my fault. But without taking any more of your time, enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 27: Anger managment

Chara began to lead the group to their next destination... but not because she elected to or anything. Her face was still red with anger and her walk betrayed how much her blood was boiling under her skin. The others noticed her strange change in mood and they were concerned... but they didn't know what to do.

"Something's going on with your sister..." Mono whispered to Mike, who nodded.

"I know... She's... She's so angry all the time now..." He glanced over at Chara, who was looking back at them because she heard whispering, but they shut up fast enough that she didn't hear them. She squinted her eyes suspiciously before looking forward again. The red tinge in her eyes were gone at this point... but Mike decided that he'd keep that little nugget of info to himself for now... At least until he was more sure of his sisters condition. "We gotta help her somehow..."

"I know, but what can we do? I think I understand where she's coming from though... the stress can really get to a person... and it has been one slap in the face after another... but we can't really do anything about that." Frisk interjected.

"We have to do something. Sure, she managed to fend off the janitor, but what if she directs that anger towards us? Then what?" Six added. She was skating dangerously close to a topic they didn't want to discuss. "We need a plan to deal with her in case she-"

"She's not a rabid dog, Six!" Mike exclaimed. "What are you even suggesting?" He said with narrowed eyes. Six held up her hands defensivly.

"Easy, Mike... I wasn't going to suggest anything drastic... It's just... do you really think you have it in her to take her down if she goes off the rails?" Six asked. Mike rubbed his neck and remembered his little incident with Frisk. He'd never be able to bring himself to hurt any of his friends, but if they were a danger to the rest of them...? He didn't know...

"Well... Let's just hope we never have to find out, okay?" Six nodded at Mike and took the hint to save this conversation for a better time. Chara looked like she was calming down anyway, so maybe things were going to get better from this point on... hopefully. They continued through the pipes and walls, scaling obstacles and avoiding traps that were most likely laid by the janitor to catch rodents... or runaway kids. Either way, they had to continue, past the hazards both natural and unnatural while also dealing with Chara's rising blood pressure. It was clear that with every bit of progress they made, her anger rose. It was getting more and more obvious that something was wrong with her, but nobody said anything further to avoid aiding in her rage... but Chara apparently didn't see it that way.

"Stop talking behind my back!" She suddenly shouted, which gave pause to everyone else.

"W-we didn't say anything." Frisk tried to say, but Chara stopped her mid-sentence.

"Liar! I heard you, Mike and Six! About how you're going to 'deal with me'" She said while raising the index and middle fingers on both her hands as if visually quoting what the three had said. "And I heard you mumbling under your breath just now!" She added. The others blinked at her in and cocked their heads in confusion.

"But... She didn't. We've all been silent for the past ten minutes." Mono stepped in. It was true, nobody had even so much as breathed loudly as to not irritate Chara further, but it was clear that she heard... Something.

"Oh, not you too! Are all of you against me now?! What did I ever do to all of you?!" She said, raising her voice with each sentence until she was nearly screaming. Mike slowly came forward, arms raised slightly to show he meant no harm.

"Sis... calm down... please..." He spoke as softly as he could, but as firmly too, as to make sure his words reached her ears. "We didn't say anything behind your back recently... I admit we were talking earlier, but we weren't talking about getting rid of you, we were talking about trying to help you." He tried to explain, but Chara wasn't having any of it, she rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"A likely story. You're probably just covering for those two, aren't you?!" She clenched her fists tightly and glared daggers into Mike. "OF ALL THE PEOPLE, I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST YOU, MICHAEL! WHY?! WHAT DID I DO?! WHAT DID I DO?!" She balled her fists tight and slammed them into the metal walls beside her. The loud clanging rung through the vents and caused them all to clutch their ears in pain. The loud ringing brought them all to their knees as they clutched their heads. Eventually the sound went away and they could all uncover themselves. They all looked at Chara, who seemed to have calmed down a bit, having gotten her anger out of her system. "I... Guys I'm... I'm sorry... I don't know what came over me-" But then, all of a sudden, a hand burst through the wall and wrapped itself tightly around Mike and Six, dragging them out of the vents and into the adjacent room. The remaining kids looked out to see the janitor taking them away as they struggled. He must have heard the commotion Chara caused. The guilty girl in question immediately felt guilt for what she had done and sniffled as a few tears fell down her cheeks.

"No! You get back here you gangly bastard!" Mono shouted as he jumped out of the vent and, in a strange turn of events, chased the janitor. Chara and Frisk blinked in surprise at his courage, but quickly decided to follow suit. They jumped out of the vent and ran after Mono as he kept pace with the janitor. They all had just about enough of the janitor... and one way or another, he wouldn't be a problem for them after they were done.
