Shades of red, orange, and yellow

Paint a portrait calm and mellow

Appearing before my eyes

Its beauty like a sunrise

Crisp but cool is the breeze

As I sit beneath the trees

Looking on in wonderment

Indescribable at present

In my heart is an ode

To pay homage to my abode

Where I retreat each day

Lost in my thoughts while others play

If only others would stop to look

All around them is nature's book

Its pages drawn with careful detail

A tome that will prevail

All time and space

Offering a smile to my face
