A/N: I forgot to mention this last time, but yeah, I named one of the Laser Puppies, Vanna. Considering one of them is named Sajack, I thought it would be cute. I'm also trying to work in one named Trebek. Anyways enjoy the chapter!
Chapter 2: Telling Mom
Luna decided to explain to Star and Marco (as he was in the know and already helped her already) about what she knew about her duties as Sailor Moon and fighting the enemy.
"Your duties as Sailor Moon isn't just fighting the enemy but also to find our missing Princess and your fellow Sailor Guardians." Explained Luna.
"So there's more?" asked Marco.
"There are." Said Luna nodding.
"So about this princess…" said Star.
"You're not the Princess." Said Luna.
"Are you sure?" asked Star.
"I am sure…" said Luna.
"Okay then…" said Star, "So this enemy… They're stealing people's energy?"
"It's true." Said Luna.
"Why would they do that?" asked Marco.
"I honestly don't know." Said Luna, "I don't have much information right now."
"Seriously?: asked Marco.
"I'm sorry." Sighed Luna.
"It's okay… I'm sure we'll find out the enemy's energy draining plans." Said Star.
Meanwhile in an unknown location, a woman with red hair sat upon her throne. In front of her was a crystal ball. In front of her was a gathering of monsters.
"Have you found the Silver Crystal yet?" she asked the monster.
"No…" they droned.
"Jadeite!" she called out.
A blonde man wearing a grey uniform appeared.
"Yes, Queen Beryl." Said Jadeite.
"I had heard your last plan to gather energy has failed." Said the woman named Queen Beryl.
"Yes, however I have come up with another plan." Said Jadeite.
"Very good, we need that energy for great ruler." Said Queen Beryl.
"I know." said Jadeite.
Jadeite teleported away to make sure his next plan succeeded.
The next day at school. A lot of the students were talking about the day before at the Jewelry Store.
"I don't remember anything when Sailor Moon showed up." Said Sabrina.
"Oh that's too bad." Said one of the girls talking to her.
"I heard she's an American remake of this one hero going around London right now called Sailor V." said a rather stout boy named Francis talking to other students.
"Oh wow! Sailor Moon was a big hit!" cheered Star.
"Star I can't belie I'm saying this but I agree with Luna." Said Marco.
"What why?" asked Star.
"Look telling people you're a super hero with an unknown enemy. I mean look at happened to Spiderman when he told his secret identity to the world. His aunt died and he had to sell his marriage to the devil to fix it." Said Marco.
"Oh no!" said Star, "Wait did you just he sold his marriage to the devil fix it"
"Yeah… everyone hates that part of the story… and other part of it too… but even if it's a story that everyone hate it does have a good point. You shouldn't be telling everyone that you're a super hero now." Said Marco, "Especially since we don't know if this new enemy is just as pathetic as Ludo."
"I guess you have a point." Sighed Star.
"There is someone I do think you should tell." Said Marco.
"Really who?" asked Star.
Before he say anything Sabrina walked by and Star noticed the rather pretty flower brooch she was wearing.
"Oh that's a really pretty brooch!" said Star.
"Thanks!" said Sabrina, "I won it in a contest! I don't remember entering it! But I think it's a sign that my luck will change."
She then slipped on a loose tile and ended up in a garbage can.
"I'm okay!" she called out.
"we should talk about it with Luna." Said Marco.
"Fine." Said Star.
When they got home that afternoon, they found Marco's mother wearing the same flower brooch as Sabrina.
"Oh hey! Sabrina won the same brooch!" said Star.
"Yep! Apparently I won it in a contest I didn't know I even entered." Said Mrs. Diaz with a shrug.
Both of them shrugged and made their way upstairs where Luna was chasing after the laser puppies beams.
"Come on guys! We need to talk to the kitty!" said Marco shooing out the puppies.
"Thank you…" said Luna in a somewhat hollow voice, "I've been stuck like that for hours."
"It's okay… we'll do our best to get them away from you during the day." Said Star petting her.
"There's something we need to talk about." Said Marco.
"What about." Said Luna.
"Marco realized that there's someone we have to tell about me being Sailor Moon." Said Star.
"Really who?" asked Luna.
"Star's mother." Said Marco.
"Seriously!" yelled Star, "That's the one person I don't want to know!"
"Is this about the message she left you on the mirror?" asked Luna.
"Het daily reminder?" grumbled Star, "That part of it."
"Why do you think it's a good idea to tell her?" asked Luna.
"I haven't known Star for long, but I do know one thing there's the threat of Saint O's over her head." Said Marco.
"Saint O's!" screamed Star going into a panic., "Saint O's! Saint O's!"
"Saint O's?" asked Luna.
Star hid inside a nearby treasure chest.
"Saint Olga's School for Wayward Princesses." Sighed Marco.
They hard her yelp in the chest.
"And if she gets sent there then she'll be trapped." Sighed Luna.
However before the conversation could contention they heard a crash downstairs.
Star got up from the chest.
"What was that?" she said.
All three of them downstairs to check on what it was. They found Mrs. Diaz unconscious.
"Mom!" said Marco running to her.
"Oh no! what happened to her!" said Star.
Luna began to examine her.
"That brooch is drain her energy." Said Luna.
"wait… isn't that the same brooch that Sabrina was wearing?" asked Star.
"Looks like she probably got her energy drained too." Said Marco.
At the Sabrina was face down at cheerleading prate.
"Sabrina…" said one of the other cheerleaders.
"Just ignore her." Said the head cheerleader Brittney Wong.
The others shrugged and continued their practice.
Back at the Diaz house, Star was about to grab it.
"Don't touch it, it will drain your energy too!" said Luna.
"Rainbow Grabby Hand!" said Star creating a hand made of a rainbow to grab the brooch.
"hey! Maybe if we find the packing we can find out where it came from." Said Marco.
"I doubt the enemy would be that stupid to leave a return address." Sighed Luna.
They found the box it came in and found it did have a return address.
""IT might be a fake address." Pointed out Luna.
"I'm still going to see if their there!" said Star, "Moon Prism Power! Make-up!"
She transformed as this time she was holding her wand she noticed it transformed as well. It was now golden and the bell resembled Sailor Moon's brooch, with the crescent moon in the center being the crystal.
"Cool! My wand transformed too!" said Sailor Moon, "I can use it on the bad guys along with my tiara."
"Don't use your usual spells." Said Marco.
"Don't worry, I won't." said Sailor Moon, "Let's go Luna!"
"Okay." Sighed Luna.
Sailor Moon ran over to where the return address was.
"Yeah… just leave me here to carry my mom to the couch." Grumbled Marco.
Meanwhile in the location that was on the return address, a woman was making sure many identical women were doing their job.
"We have ship out 50 more!" said one of the women.
"Good… make sure to send out 100 more by the end of the day and make sure it's either over night or express again!" said the main woman.
"We know… " said one of the other women.
"We've been doing this ever since Morga failed yesterday… we know what do to!" said one of them.
That was when Sailor Moon kicked open the door.
"Who are you!" demanded the main woman.
"I'm Sailor Moon! And in the name off the moon! I'm going to kick your monster butt!" called out Sailor Moon.
"Get her!" yelled the woman.
All of the women's duplicates ran towards Sailor Moon turning into a monstrous version of the woman as they did.
They surrounded Sailor Moon.
"Moonlight Radiant Blast!" called out Sailor Moon aiming her wand at the monsters.
There was an explosion of light that sent many of them flying.
"See Luna I told you I can handle my wand in this sort of fight." Said Sailor Moon.
However several more of the monster women attack her with their hair tying her up, including her mouth.
You must be the one who defeated Morga." Said the woman who turned into a monster as well, "Well she was fool anyways... destroy her!"
That was when suddenly they were flung away.
"What!" screamed the main monster.
Turns out what happened was that Skull Mask had saved Sailor Moon.
"Oh wow!" said Sailor Moon with her eyes sparkling.
The monsters attacked Sailor Moon again.
"Moon Crystal Heart Smash!" called out Sailor Moon hitting the monsters with crystals that both hearts and moons.
"Nice wand." Said Skull Mask as he kicked several away.
"Thanks!" said Sailor Moon blushing.
"Why those rotten…" muttered the monster women, "Come here and join me!"
All of the duplicates joined with the main monster woman and merged into a giant version of the monster woman.
"Uh-oh…" said Sailor Moon.
The now giant monster woman tired to smash Sailor Moon but Skull Mask pulled her out of the way.
"Rainbow Moon Boomerang Explosion!"
She sent out crescent rainbow colored boomerangs out of her wand that exploded on contact.
"Why you…" muttered the giant monster.
"Time to Finish You Off!" yelled Sailor Moon, "Moon Tiara Action!"
Of course the tiara turned into a discus and causing the monster to turn to dust.
"Yes! I did it!" cheered Sailor Moon.
She turned to Skull Mask but he was gone.
"Oh man!" said Sailor Moon.
"Sailor Moon…" said Luna.
"I know… we should go." Sighed Sailor Moon.
They headed back to the Diaz house (transforming back on the way) where Marco was for reason taking some aspirin.
"Hey! Is your mom okay?" asked Star.
"Don't worry she's fine." Said Marco.
"Star I'm going to make pancake for dinner, how many would you like?" she asked as if her energy wasn't draining.
"Pancakes for dinner? You can do that?" asked Star in shock.
"Yep! So how many would you like." Said Mrs. Diaz.
"10!" said Star with her eyes sparkling.
Luna pulled her hair.
"Hey!" said Star.
She motioned to the stairs, which meant to continue the conversation from earlier upstairs.
"Fine." Sighed Star.
They made it upstairs and continued to talk about telling Star's mom.
"After thinking it over, I do think it's a good idea tell her." Said Luna, "But only her and no one else until we find your fellow Sailor Guardians and the Princess."
"Fine… but you have to help explain." Said Star.
"Of course." Said Luna.
They approached the mirror on the wall.
"Mirror, mirror on the wall. Call Mom. Said Star.
"Calling Mom." Said the mirror.
The image of Star's mom appeared on the mirror.
"Hello Star… what did you do?" asked Queen Moon on the mirror.
"Nothing! There's just something my new friend wants to tell you." Said Star holding Luna.
"Hello Your Majesty." Said Luna.
Queen Moon gave Luna a look as she knew animals didn't talk on Earth.
"My name is Luna. I am Star's adviser. You see your daughter is a Sailor Guardian." Said Luna.
"A Sailor Guardian?" asked Queen Moon in shock.
"Yes." Said Luna.
"Moon Prism Power! Make-up!" said Star.
Queen Moon couldn't believe it.
"We felt we should tell you about this considering certain reasons." Said Luna.
"I completely understand." Said Queen Moon avoiding the school's name as well, "Now Star which Sailor Guardian are you."
"I'm Sailor Moon!" said Star as she de-transformed, "Which is funny considering that your name."
"Sailor Moon?" she asked.
"Yep!" said Star.
"Luna… tell me, how much do you remember of your princess?" asked Queen Moon.
Both of them were surprised.
"Mom? You know about the Sailor Guardians?" asked Star.
"Yes, I am well aware of them." Explained Queen Moon.
"To be honest, I don't remember much." Said Luna.
"I see…" sighed Queen Moon.
"Is something wrong?" asked Star.
"No it's fine." Said Queen Moon, "This is a very important task you have. I expect you to keep it a secret."
"I already told Marco." She mumbled.
"Marco's fine. I know you already completely trust him." said Queen Moon, "But only trust your identity to those you completely trust, or your fellow Sailor Guardians."
"Yes mom." Grumbled Star.
"Thank you." Mouthed Luna.
"I also expect you to behave yourself during your mission." Said Queen Moon.
"I know… well anyways I should get going it's almost dinner." Said Star.
"Good Bye." Said Queen Moon.
Star hung up and sighed.
"Good thing that's out of the way." Sighed Star.
"Star… why did it seem like your mom know a lot?" asked Luna.
"You know Queen of Mewni, always part of the Magic High Commission. Whatever magical going on and it's important they probably know about it." Said Star.
"I guess that makes sense." Said Luna.
"Come on! Let's go get some pancakes!" said Star.
"You know I won't be eating them right?" asked Luna.
"I know." Said Star.
Meanwhile in Mewni, Queen Moon sighed.
"How Star be…" she sighed, "No… I shouldn't worry about that fact until it's confirmed."
And so Star told her mother… but what Star and Luna didn't know was the extent of what she knew about their situation. Btu thanks they had nothing to worry about involing that, after all there was no way for Queen Moon to be on the side of their enemy.
