Chapter 4: Monster Arm
In practicing for an upcoming Karate Tournament, Marco accidently broke his arm. Not only but the first round was Jeremy. A fellow student at the Dojo who often teased and bullied him.
Marco laid on Star's bed while she changed her hairstyles between Pigtails and Ponytails.
While Amaya was also in the room talking to Luna about a computer she gave her.
"This is a nightmare! I can't fight Jeremy! He'll say I wussed out and will never live it down!" complained Marco.
"I'm sorry." Said Amaya looking up from her computer, "But Jeremy sounds like a horrible person, and he really shouldn't make fun of you because of that."
"Thanks for reiterating that Amaya." Said Marco.
That was when he noticed Star messing with her hair.
"Wait a minute! You have a wand! You could just fix my hand!" said Marco.
"You know that sort of spell is out of my comfort zone." Said Star.
"Plus this seems like a bad idea." Said Amaya, "Something could go wrong if Star uses the spell right away. If she uses the spell something could happen that could endanger your health further."
"You're just saying that because your parents are doctors." Said Marco.
It was indeed true, Amaya's parents were doctors, she also wanted t follow in their footsteps as well.
"Wait!" said Star, "I could look up spell in the magic instruction book that came with that wand!"
Star went to under her bed and pulled out a massive tome.
"Wait you had an instruction book the whole time!" said Marco.
"I keep telling her to use it to practice spells." Sighed Luna.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah…" mumbled Star, "Anyways, whenever a past queen mastered a spell she write it down in here."
She opened it causing dust and old bugs to go everywhere.
"But the problem is that it's a complete mess, I don't know if I'd be able to even find it." Said Star flipping through the page, "Oh wait here it is."
They all looked at the spell.
"But it's written in an ancient language." Said Star.
"Maybe it's a good idea practice on something first." Said Luna.
"What am I going to practice on? " said Star.
Before Luna or Amaya could make a suggestion she read the spell while point at Marco, "Releasio Demonius Infestica"
Marco's broken arm began to glow.
"It's working! I can feel my fingers tingling!" cheered Marco.
That was when the light faded away… and when it did, Marco's arm transformed into a horrifying tentacle.
Marco began to scream.
Luna sighed, "I would have suggested to get a bucket of fried chicken to practice on." She said.
Star began to panic as the tentacle began to move on it's own.
"Marco? Are you controlling it?" asked Amaya.
"No! I'm not!" he yelled panicking.
Amaya began to use her new computer to analyze the tentacle.
"(Oh dear)" she said in Spanish.
"What is it?" asked Marco.
"Hold on a second." Said Amaya.
She grabbed her bow and started shooting at the tentacle with ice arrow freezing.
"Seriously Amaya!" yelled Marco, "I mean you could have hurt me!"
"No… I knew I wouldn't." said Amaya.
"What?" asked Marco.
Amaya began to show Marco the information her computer showed her.
"You see this tentacle is some sort of parasitic entity. It has it's own brain, nervous system, repository system, even it's own mouth and vocal cords. IT also has it's own digestive system… which is connected to your own." Explained Amaya.
"How is it connected to mine?" asked Marco.
"it looks like you poop out its poop." Said Star looking at it too.
"Seriously?" asked Marco causing Amaya to blush.
"So Star gave me a parasite on my arm! This is bad! This is really bad!" freaked out Marco.
He noticed the tentacle writhing and Amaya shot it with another ice arrow.
"Oh man! You have to stay here to prevent it from escaping!" said Marco.
"I can stay the night…" said Amaya, "It would be nice to get a break from Janna."
"What did she do?" asked Marco.
"You don't want to know…" mumbled Amaya.
"Okay! I have to find a spell to restore you arm! It should be easy! So easy!" said Star who began to freak out, "Hey! I need to see more of your baby pictures!"
"Okay…" said Amaya pulling up a picture of her cuddling what appeared to be a large alpaca plushy.
"So cute!" said Star with her eyes sparkling.
"It is cute…" said Marco with a shrug while looking at it, "But I don't see what the big deal of her cuddling with a toy."
"That's a real baby alpaca." Said Amaya.
Marco looked at the picture.
"Seriously?" asked Marco, "Also why did you show Star your baby pictures?"
"My aunt found out I made some friends and sent me a lot of baby pictures from when I stayed with her and my uncle at the farm…" said Amaya, "All of them are me playing, sleeping or cuddling with baby alpaca."
"I see…" said Marco unsure how to respond.
Meanwhile with the enemy, Jadeite had met with Queen Beryl to explain his latest plan.
"I have detected a very evil force that had appeared on earth." Explained Jadeite.
"Do you think you can find what is stopping your plans?" asked Queen Beryl.
"I'm sure of it. " said Jadeite.
"Good." Said Queen Beryl.
The next morning Marco woke up to find that the tentacle had defrosted during the night.
And unfortunately he knew he couldn't get Amaya to freeze it while he took a shower because it would just melt thanks to the shower. And unfortunately the tentacle turned the water up really high.
Thankfully before breakfast Amaya froze.
And so the schedule was made.
"All right in-between classes we don't have together I'll freeze as much as I can." Said Amaya, "Thankfully we do have a few classes together so it will help."
"Yeah…" sighed Marco who's skin was very red.
Star came in looking tired.
"Still haven't found the spell yet." Mumbled Star.
"don't worry we're planning out everything." Said Amaya.
"Good… good…" mumbled Star who looked like she was going to fall asleep.
"She's not going to school today… not that I can blame here." Said Luna.
"Okay… let's go to school then." Sighed Marco.
"Okay…" said Amaya.
Marco lead Amaya to a certain spot pretending he didn't have a tentacle for an arm.
That was when a girl named Jackie Lynn Thomas skated by, he nodded to her. However she stopped after seeing the tentacle arm.
"Uh… Marco… what's with the monster arm?" asked Jackie staring at it.
"Oh magical accident." Sighed Marco.
The ice began to break. And Amaya shot it with an ice arrow.
"Amaya's helping me make sure it doesn't cause any problems." Said Marco nervously.
"Okay…" said Jackie unsure how to respond and skated away.
Once she was out of site, Marco began to break heavily.
"You all right?" asked Amaya.
"Yeah! Totally fine!" said Marco.
"(Do you have a crush on her?)" asked Amaya in Spanish so that most people would know what was she was asking.
"Of course not that's ridiculous… I…" said Marco, "You're not buying it are you?"
"Not at all." Said Amaya.
"Fine… I admit it…" said Marco, "Just don't tell her okay."
"I won't." said Amaya.
"Also don't tell Janna." Said Marco.
"She already lost most of my trust." Said Amaya turning pale.
"What did she do?" asked Marco.
"You don't want to know." Said Amaya.
Marco wasn't sure how to respond to that.
Though out the day, Amaya had to make sure that the tentacle didn't escape from the confines of the ice. It almost broke out a few times in-between class. But thankfully it didn't escape.
"That day could have gone worse at least." Sighed Marco.
"You're right." Sighed Amaya.
"You there." Said a voice.
Both of them turned around and saw Jadeite.
"What is it?" asked Marco as both he and Amaya got a bad feeling from him.
"What happened to your arm?" he asked.
"Oh just an accident." Said Marco, "Nothing to worry about."
"I see… quite an interesting accident." Said Jadeite.
He held out his hand and sent Amaya flying.
He then motioned over to the tentacle breaking the ice and then sent Marco to the ground.
"I know that your are conscious." Said Jadeite.
"So you know." Said the tentacle opening it's mouth.
"My name is Jadeite, I have come to offer something." Sid Jadeite, "I want to transform you into a monster under my service."
"Will I be free from him?" asked the tentacle.
"You will have your own body." Said Jadeite, "But you must serve the Dark Kingdom and steal human's energy."
Both Marco and Amaya's eyes widened realized who he was.
"Will I be able to do whatever I want to the humans after I steal their energy?" asked the tentacle.
"If you want." Said Jadeite.
"Very well." The tentacle.
Jadeite motion to the tentacle. The Tentacle was seprated from Marco's arm, with Marco thankfully keeping his arm. However he moaned in pain as it was still broken.
Once it was separated the tentacle turned into a humanoid form, though it's arms and legs were tentacles.
Amaya had managed to get up and find a place to call Star, one of the functions of her computer was thankfully a phone and she was able to call Star's mirror.
In the Diaz house, Luna answered up seeing it was Amaya.
"Did something happen?" asked Luna.
"The enemy has shown up… there's some good news, he separated it from Marco… but he did turn it into a monster."
"I'm letting Star take a nap." Said Luna, "But I'll wake her up since this is important."
Amaya nodded.
Luna ended the call and went to wake up Star.
"Star!" said Luna.
"What! I totally wasn't taking a nap!" yelled Star.
"I was letting you take that nap." Said Luna, "Since you still need some sleep."
"Oh… thanks…" said Star not sure how to respond.
"I have good news and bad news." Said Luna, "The good news is that you don't have to worry about reversing the spell."
"Oh! Yay!" cheered Star, "What's the bad news?"
"The bad news is that the enemy found about it, seprated from Marco and turned it into one of their monsters."
"Okay! That's bad!" said Star.
"We have to go right now!" said Luna.
"Right!" said Star who then yawned.
Luna sighed… this was going to take a while.
Meanwhile Amaya transformed.
"Mercury Power! Make-Up!" said she called out.
While this was going on. The Tentacle Monster looked at Marco.
"You know what, I'm going to spare you for now." He said, "After all you are the one I was spawned from."
"That's understandable." Said Jadeite with a smirk.
The tentacle monster looked around, he scowled when he saw Amaya wasn't there, but then saw Sabrina walking nearby and decided to save Amaya for later.
He jumped in front of Sabrina and grabbed her with his tentacle, drawing her of her energy.
"Very good." Said Jadeite.
"Yes! And now…" said the Tentacle monster, "I will devour her bowels!"
"Of course." Laughed Jadeite who then realized, "Wait what?"
"I plan to devour the bowels of every person I drain the energy from." Said the tentacle monster.
"I… I…" said Jadeite trying to figure out what to say, "I don't think that's a very good idea."
"Why not." Said the tentacle monster.
"Because that's disgusting!" said Jadeite, "Also I don't think Queen Beryl will approve."
"I don't care what your queen says." Said the tentacle monster, "I'm still going to devour their bowels!"
"You're under me now. And I refuse to allow you!" said Jadeite.
"Too bad!" said the Tentacle monster.
He looked at the unconscious Sabrina, however before he could make a move on her bowels, there was a shout of "Bubble Spray!"
There area was cover in fog.
Jadeite didn't know who it was but he knew he should' let the monster devour the girl's bowels and recused her.
When the fog cleared thankfully Sailor Moon arrived.
"Who are you?" asked the tentacle monster.
"I'm… I'm the pretty guardian Sailor Moon…" she then took a yawn in the middle of it, "Guardian of Love and Justice! And… and… in the name of the Moon! I'm going to kick your monster butt…"
She yawned again.
"Sailor Moon are you okay?" asked Sailor Mercury joining her.
"Yeah… totes fine! Totes…" said Sailor Moon who fell back to sleep.
"You two must be the one foiling my previous plans." Said Jadeite still holing Sabrina, "Both of you are pathetic."
"What!" said Sailor Moon waking up.
"However… I have to say I made a mistake this time… he's too evil the for the Dark Kingdom."
Nearby Luna and Marco watched from a bush.
"The Dark Kingdom." Said Luna.
Back with the fight…
"Just this one time… I believe we need to work to together…" said Jadeite.
"Okay… sounds… sounds good…" said Sailor Moon.
"Fine then… it looked like I will be devouring all of your bowels to start with!" yelled the Tentacle Monster.
However Jadeite just sent some sort of blast at the monster, knocking it down.
Sailor Moon was awake enough to know what to do.
"All right! Moon Tiara Action!" she called.
"No!" yelled the Tentacle monster turning into dust.
"So… Sailor Moon…" said Jadeite, "Next time we meet, before I won't help you…"
He then disappeared.
"Who was that guy again?" asked Sailor Moon.
"Our enemy…" sighed Luna.
"He made a mistake by turn that thing into a monster." Said Marco.
"Okay!" said Sailor Moon.
"Come on… let's go get you to bed… then we can get a bucket up fried chicken that you can practice the bone healing spell on." Said Luna.
"Hey… should I go get a new cast?" asked Marco, "My arm is still broken. "
"Probably a good idea." Said Luna.
Sometime later Jadeite was in front of Queen Beryl.
"Maybe I ask why you went against the monster you recruited." Said Queen Beryl.
"It crossed a line I never knew I had." Said Jadeite.
"Tell me what is this line." Muttered Queen Beryl.
"After a victim is drained… would allow the monster that did it to devour their bowels?" asked Jadeite.
"I'm sorry… did you just ask me if I would let a monster devour a person's bowels?" asked Queen Beryl.
"Yes." Answered Jadeite.
Queen Beryl sighed.
"I believe we have the same line." Said Queen Beryl, "Now tell… you have discovered the ones thwarting your plans as the same time…"
Jadeite nodded and began to tell her about what he discovered.
A couple days later it was the tournament, thanks to using a bucket of fired chicken (after they ate the chicken) to test the spell, Star thankfully fixes Marco's arm in time.
And it was time for Marco's match. With Star and Amaya watching with Ferguson and Alfonzo.
"All right!" yelled Star, "This is go going to awesome! SO AWESOME!"
"Allow me to introduce our first competitor. Jeremy Birnbaum." Said the Sensei of the dojo.
Jeremy stood on a stool in a cloak, then he removed revealing he was a little kid.
"That's Jeremy." Said Star.
"That kid cant' be more than 8 years" said Ferguson.
"And his opponent Marco Diaz." Said Sensei.
Marco entered the Dojo calmly.
"Ha! I would have thought you would have chickened out." Laughed Jeremy.
"Shows what you know." Said Marco.
"Begin!" said Marco's Sensei.
Jeremy aimed a punch at Marco who managed to dodge.
"Dang it." Muttered Jeremy.
However after his little curse something fell out of Jeremy's glove… it appeared to be a brass knuckle.
"A brass knuckle?" asked Sensei.
"Pft. Brass? That's gold." Laughed Jeremy.
"Jeremy Birnbaum has been disqualified. Marco Diaz wins the match." Said Sensei.
The crowed polity clapped.
"Well that was anti-climatic." Said Star.
"Si…" said Amaya who had nothing else to say.
While the match it self was anti-climatic… something did change with this. The Dark Kingdom and the Sailor Guardians knew about each other… and things were going to get more dangerous for them… especially with Jadeite's next plan.
Next Time: Another new foreign exchange student joins the school. However people around town are disappearing, does this have to with the Dark Kingdom? And what sort of role does the girl play? Find out next time!
