Enter Siblings, Exit Haunted House
Part 1:
"Stooges meet the Siblings"
It was July 18, 1933. Inside an apartment were two siblings; A young man and a young lady. It had been about five years, since, their father passed away and ten, since, their mother had passed. They were waiting around for their older sibling to get home from work. Finally, they heard a car pull up and in came a muscular looking man sporting facial hair. He was all exhausted and sweaty from a hard day's work, plus, this heat wave wasn't helping.
"Phew! Man am I tired." the dark haired muscular man jumped onto the couch.
"What happened to you? Run a marathon?" the thinner light brown haired brother asked, while looking at his drenched clothes.
"Ha, ha, ha!" the muscular man sarcastically laughed, before giving a look of disapproval, "No, I was out in the heat. Bartending ain't all easy when there isn't any cool air flowing, plus, working as a bouncer and studying law in order to become a Police Officer isn't all that easy to juggle."
"David, I keep tellin' you to not juggle too many things." their dark haired sister chimed in.
"Thanks for the reminder, Jenny." David snarked.
"You're welcome, it's my job." Jenny quipped with sarcasm.
"I wasn't thanking you!" David gave her a look.
"Dave, she was being sarcastic." the other brother chimed in.
"Mike, nobody was asking you!" Jenny slapped him.
"Hey, let him alone!" David grabbed Jenny's nose and squeezed it, which made the "Aooga" horn noise.
"Ouch! Hey, what's the idea?!" Jenny rubbed her nose, before, going out to the mail box and grabbing today's mail.
"Hey!" Mike tapped David on the shoulder.
"Stay out of this, bubble brain!" David back handed him in the face.
"Wise guy, eh?" Mike tried to act tough.
"Oh ho, you bet!" David grabbed him by his shirt.
"Uh oh! You guys!" Jenny didn't like what was in today's mail.
"What?! Your boyfriend dumped you?" Mike asked in a sarcastic way.
"Shut up and let her finish!" David slapped him on the back of the head.
"There's sort of this letter and-" Jenny was cut off.
"Sort of? There ain't no "sort of", Jen! There's either is or isn't! Now, tell us the verdict of this letter!" David barked.
"Landlord is throwing three tenants out. Sucks to be those people." Mike read the letter in a blunt way.
"I wonder who he is throwing out." David scratched the back of his head, before, grabbing the letter and reading it, "Wait a minute...It's us, he's throwing' out!"
"Is that serious?" Mike asked.
"We're going to be thrown out on the cold hard streets." Jenny gave him a weird look.
"Oh, well, that's definitely serious." Mike nodded his head.
"I'll show you what's definitely serious! See this?" David grabbed a pepper shaker and poured some pepper into his palm.
"Yes, what is it?" Mike looked at his brother's hand.
"This!" David blew the pepper in Mike's face.
Mike screamed and batted his eyes, before, starting to sneeze uncontrollably.
"We're going to have to get jobs and find a place to live!" Jenny whined.
"What do you think? Money grows on trees and houses are for free?!" David asked in a very sarcastic tone.
"Oh!" Jenny grabbed his nose with one hand and with the other hand, she made a fist and bopped his nose, which made the sound of a horn mixed with a cymbal.
"Why, you!" David poured more pepper on his hand and sprinkled it on Jenny's nose.
Jenny dusted it off as fast as she could, but, pretty soon, she also started sneezing uncontrollably.
"You both are the biggest whiners and dopes, I know!" David shook his head, before going into his bedroom and starting to pack stuff.
"Well, what should we be...achoo!..doing?" Mike rubbed his eyes.
"Boxing." Jenny surprisingly stopped sneezing.
"OK." Mike put his arms up and took a fighting stance.
"Not that boxing, you idiot!" Jenny slapped him on the head, causing him to do a single spin around on the tips of his toes, like a ballerina.
"What's the big-" Mike was cut off when Jenny started pushing him towards his room.
Moments later
David, Mike and Jenny had finished packing and were in the process of bringing all of their bags out of their rooms. Jenny was having a hard time closing her bag as it had a lot of stuff falling out. Mike took notice of this and went over to her.
"Need a hand?" Mike held out a fake bloody hand.
"Really funny!" Jenny was startled and annoyed at the same time.
"No, seriously, do you need help?" Mike threw the fake hand aside.
"Yes, I can't seem to close my bag." Jenny nodded.
"Hmmm...let me think of something." Mike scratched his head, while staring at the bag.
"I've got an idea! How about you go to the drawer, get the hammer and nails, and we nail it shut! That way it won't be opening up constantly." Jenny snapped her fingers.
"Great idea, kid! Great idea!" Mike patted her on the head, went straight to the drawer, and grabbed the hammer and box of nails.
"OK, I'll hold it shut, while you hammer away with the nails." Jenny held her suitcase shut.
"Ha! People think we're idiots! Well, we're showing them." Mike took out a few nails and started hammering away, in order to shut the suitcase.
"Yeah, we're using our brains! Great minds think alike!" Jenny scoffed.
"See, problem solved." Mike finally got done with nailing the suitcase shut and was proud of his work.
"Hey, Mike and Jenny, could you lend your hands?" David was dragging out a garbage bag full of stuff until it got stuck in the doorway to his bedroom.
"Sure." Mike and Jenny answered at the same time.
The trio worked at it for a while until the bag finally got out of the doorway and made it to the front room.
"Hey, David, your shoe is untied." Jenny told him.
"Thanks, kid." David bent over to tie his shoe.
Suddenly, Jenny's suitcase flew open as the nails obviously wouldn't hold it shut. The nails went flying around until they all hit David in the rear end.
"Jenny, you're suitcase flew open!" Mike pointed out.
"What in the world?! Where did all of the nails go?" Jenny noticed that the nails disappeared.
"Owwww! Owww! I'm losing my mind!" David screamed.
"Whoa!" Mike and Jenny said in unison, as they both turned around and winced at the sight.
"You guys, help me! Ohhhhh!" David yelled.
Mike and Jenny grabbed pliers and a hammer, then went straight to where David was standing.
"Take it easy, kid, we'll help you." Jenny reassured him.
"Just bend over the couch and we'll get those nails out in no time." Mike told him.
"OK." David bent over the couch, desperate to have the nails removed.
Soon enough, Mike and Jenny started removing the nails at a fast pace, making the sound of a socket wrench.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" David winced.
Mike and Jenny kept on going at the fast rate they were.
"Take it easy, you're tearing my heart out!" David tried to hold back tears.
Mike and Jenny finally got all of the nails out of David's behind.
"You done?" David asked.
"Yes." Mike and Jenny nodded.
"What's the big idea?!" David slapped both of them across the face at the same time.
"We were trying to close my suitcase." Jenny quickly explained.
"With nails?!" David raised an eyebrow.
"Well, yes and now, we're going to try glue." Mike grabbed a bottle of glue.
"Stand aside, numbskull! I'll show you how to close a suitcase, even though, it is actually an easy task, but, you knuckleheads find ways to make the easiest of tasks, very difficult." David grabbed Jenny's suitcase and put it on the ground.
"How's that going to close my suitcase?" Jenny put her hand on her hip.
"Well, first you need to put it on a flat and firm surface, not the couch. Then, you close it, like this." David managed to close her suitcase and stood up, "There! See how easy that is?"
"Wow! You're really strong." Jenny was impressed.
"Well, thanks, I..." David paused and gave her an annoyed look.
Jenny's suitcase soon flew open, again.
"So much for being strong!" Mike snarked.
"Well, Jenny what do you have in there?" David opened the suitcase.
"Well, my make-up, my hairbrush, my perfumes, and all of my clothes." Jenny told him.
"You know that you can use more than one bag, Jen. I mean you have dress after dress after dress in here!" David started taking some of her dresses out, in order to make the bag lighter.
"I couldn't find another bag." Jenny said.
"They're in the closet, where everything else is." David pointed to the closet door.
"Oh, I didn't realize that." Jenny chuckled.
"You don't realize a lot of things!" David conked her on the head, making a hollow sound.
"Ow! Listen you!" Jenny pointed her finger at him.
David bit her finger, making a loud crunching sound.
"Come on, you guys, we don't have time to mess around." Mike tried to pry the two apart.
"Speak for yourself!" David squeezed Mike's nose, making a bone crunching sound.
"Let's get back to packing." Jenny grabbed another bag out of the closet and started putting her dresses in it.
"By the way, how much money do we have?" David asked.
"About $2.35." Jenny shrugged.
"$2.35?!" David was bug-eyed.
"Look, forget the money, let's keep packing. We'll be able to find jobs." Mike chimed in.
Later on
After packing up and loading their stuff into their car, David, Jenny, and Mike were out driving, looking around for a motel to sleep in for a night or more. Once, they found what they were looking for, even though it did look abandoned and a bit spooky, the trio went inside. David rang the bell at the desk.
"Yes, what can I do to help you?" a balding and bespectacled older man turned came to the desk.
"Hi, we're looking to rent a room." David told the man.
"Well, I have one on the second floor available." the older man looked in his book.
"OK. How much?" David asked.
"$35." the older man told him.
Mike got bug-eyed, then fainted, collapsing in Jenny's arms.
"Is he-" the older man was cut off.
"Ignore him. Do you have one on the first floor?" David wanted to know.
"Yes, for $25." the older man nodded.
"Thank you for your-" David was cut off by Jenny.
"Do you have one for free?" Jenny chimed in.
"Well, yes I do. Follow me." the older man motioned for the trio to follow him.
David picked Mike up and carried him over his shoulder, before joining Jenny and the older man. It wasn't long until they reached a very dark area of the motel. The older man got out his key in order to open the door to the room.
"Why is it dark back here?" David asked.
"Nobody stays back here." the older man said in a blunt way, before opening the door and lighting up a lantern.
"So, this is the free room?!" David stared into the room.
"Yes. If you don't like it, then go elsewhere!" the older man barked.
"We'll take it!" Jenny insisted.
"Alrighty! Here's your key." the older man handed Jenny the key.
"Thanks." Jenny said.
"It's getting awfully late. I hope you three have a good long sleep." the older man said in a creepy fashion, before walking away, "Rest in peace!".
Jenny, startled by what the old man said, grabbed David by the arm and held onto it, very tightly.
"What?!" David tried to shake her off his arm.
"He said, 'Rest in peace', David! You only put that on tombstones!" Jenny was shaking.
"Well, you and your bright ideas got us back here, so, what do you expect?!" David slapped her on the back of the head.
"Ow!" Jenny rubbed the back of her head.
"Let's go and get our stuff." David headed toward the front, Jenny following him.
"Hey, Dave and Jen...wha-what happened?" Mike was starting to come to.
"Oh, we're going to stay in the back room for..." David paused, causing Jenny to bump into him, "What the what?! You're awake?!".
"Uh huh." Mike replied.
"Get off me!" David dropped Mike onto the floor and walked outside to their car.
Mike and Jenny followed David outside and one by one, they kept coming in and out of the motel, getting more bags. Once they were finally done, the locked their car and settled into their dark, scary, and depressing room. As David was making due with what they had, Mike and Jenny took turns pacing back and forth and jumping at every noise. This annoyed David to the extreme.
"Will you two stop that and sit down?! You're giving me a headache!" David slightly raised his voice.
"I'm sorry, Dave, but, I don't like it here!" Mike sat down next to his brother.
"Oh, you don't like it, anywhere we go!" Jenny threw her hand up and dismissed what he said.
"If that was the case, then why am I stuck with you two?!" Mike dismissed her with his hand.
"More like, why are we stuck with the big guy?!" Jenny pointed at David.
"Most importantly, why am I stuck with two idiots and mouths to feed, when I can barely feed my own mouth?!" David shook his head.
"Because, you took over the role of being the mom and dad of the situation, after mom and dad died." Jenny pointed out.
"I think I know that, knucklehead!" David bopped her nose, which made a honking noise, "I was asking rhetorically!".
"Hey! Hey! What's the idea of picking on girls?" Mike slapped him on the shoulder.
"Who said I only picked on girls?" David bopped Mike's nose, which made a honking sound, "You know that you two are going to have to get jobs!".
"A job? Now, where would we go?" Jenny scratched her head.
"Well, we can work at the bar where he works and save up some dough." Mike suggested.
"For once, you're showing an inch of the brains you have." David nodded.
"No way! He's too bossy." Jenny shook her head.
"Do you have a better idea?" Mike and David looked at her.
"Well...uh..." Jenny paused.
"Exactly." David dismissed her with his hand.
"Let's get to sleep, then tomorrow we can apply for a job." Mike climbed into the bed.
David and Jenny stared at each other, before climbing into the bed alongside Mike and turning in for the night.
Later on that evening
As Jenny and David slept away, Mike jolted awake at a little sound and decided to go investigate it. However, he started stepping on David and Jenny in the process of getting out of bed, waking Jenny up.
"Owwww! Stop stepping on me!" Jenny grabbed Mike's leg and tripped him, making him fall onto David and knocking both of them to the ground.
"Hey! What's the idea knocking me out of bed?!" David pushed Mike off of him and stood up.
"Jenny made me fall onto you!" Mike told him.
"Oh, so she did?!" David glared at Jenny and bopped her nose, making it honk, "What's the matter with you?! Getting greedy?!".
"Mike kept on stepping on me." Jenny swished her hand back and forth about four times, making David follow it with his head until she slapped him in the face.
"Well, what are you awake for, anyways?!" David gave Mike an annoyed look.
"I heard a noise." Mike plainly said.
"You always hear a noise!" Jenny dismissed him with a hand gesture.
"Let's hurry up and investigate Mike's imaginary noise and go back to sleep!" David rolled his eyes, grabbed a lantern, lit it, and shined it around the room.
"You know, I just thought of something." Mike held onto David's arm.
"First time for everything?" David asked in a very sarcastic tone.
"What if this room is haunted?!" Mike gave David a look.
"There's no such thing as ghosts!" David blew out his lantern and climbed back into the bed.
"Yeah, there's a logical explanation for the "noise" you heard." Jenny made quotation marks with her fingers.
"Oh, really?! What?!" Mike put his hands on his hips.
"The building is old and old stuff creeks." Jenny walked over to the bed, only to find David completely sprawled out on the bed.
"Hey, hey!" Mike shook David awake.
"What?!" David yawned.
"Scoot over!" Jenny made the "scoot over" gesture with her hands.
"No! You both can sleep on the floor!" David purposely hogged the bed.
"Why?" Mike and Jenny looked at him.
"Because, you've disturbed my sleep!" David threw their pillows and blankets onto the ground, before going back to sleep.
Mike and Jenny exchanged looks and shrugged, before going back to sleep.
The next day
Jenny and Mike applied for the jobs of waitress and busboy at the bar/restaurant David worked at. After applying, they figured that they had better get into their positions before the customers showed up. So far, as minutes went by, there weren't any customers, yet.
"Oh come on! Where are the customers?" Jenny complained and tapped her fingers on a table.
"Patience." David started making coffee.
"Either I'm dreaming or this is reality and I'm really scrubbing a table down and scraping gum from underneath it?" Mike asked.
"Hmmm...let's see." David grabbed the sponge Mike was using, dunked it into the bucket of water, and squeezed it over Mike's head, before grabbing the whole bucket and dumping it on Mike.
Mike sputtered, gasped, and screamed.
"No, this is reality and you're awake." David put the empty bucket onto the ground.
"What did you do that for?" Mike straightened his hair up.
"To wake you up! Now, get more water into that bucket and get busy!" David snapped his fingers.
"I was busy until you interrupted me!" Mike slapped David, again.
"Go on!" David pushed him.
Mike did the Nazi salute, very mockingly.
"What's the matter with you?! You know better than to do that!" David smacked Mike's hand.
"I swear-" Mike was interrupted by another slap to his face.
"That's a dirty habit!" David pushed him toward the kitchen.
Mike made an annoyed grunt and swished his hand back and forth, making David follow it with his head until he landed a punch to David's forehead.
"Get going!" David clapped his hands, before turning to Jenny, "What are you doing, sitting around?! Get to work!".
"Oh, you! Why do we have to work and especially with you?!" Jenny folded her arms.
"That was Mike's idea." David scoffed.
"Yeah, I forgot about that, but, seriously, you're the one bringin' home the dough, why do we have to work?!" Jenny asked the same question, again.
"Because, if you wouldn't spend the money on a gazillion dresses, purses, and products, then you wouldn't have to, now would you?!" David glared at her, very annoyed.
"But, those things make me feel and look hot! After all, I'm the girl of this family, duh!" Jenny sassed.
"Oh you want to feel hot, eh?" David grabbed the coffee pot and briefly placed the bottom part on top of Jenny's head.
Jenny screamed loudly.
"There, now you're hot!" David put the coffee pot back, "Now, go on! Customers are going to be coming in at any minute!".
"Believe that when I see it!" Jenny rubbed her head.
"Hey, you big bully! Leave her alone!" Mike kicked David in the leg.
"Oh, yeah!" David took his shirt off, revealing his very muscular herculean-like chest.
"Yeah!" Mike bopped David on the nose, which resulted in a honking sound.
David cracked his knuckles and balled up his fists.
"You know, Jenny's right, why do we have to work when you're the one bringing home the bacon?!" Mike tried to make himself look bigger than his brother, but, failed miserably.
"Because, if she wouldn't spend it on the stuff she spends it on and if you wouldn't spend the money on a gazillion suits, shirts, shoes, ties, cars, and stuff, then we'd be well off!" David cracked his neck.
"Well, I need stuff to look cool. After all, I am a cool suave guy." Mike pulled a few hairs out of David's mustache.
"Oh, you wanna be cool, eh?" David asked, before heading to the ice box.
"Uh oh, what are you gonna do to me now?!" Mike wasn't liking where this was headed.
David grabbed a cup full of ice cubes and dumped them down Mike's back.
"Ahhh, that's ice! Ahhhh, that's so cold!" Mike jumped and screamed.
"There, now you're cool!" David threw the cup into the sink, "Go on, now! Get back to work! Chop, chop!".
"Why, you!" Jenny and Mike were prepared to gang up on their older brother until a short, bespectacled, balding older man came in.
"David, Mike, and Jenny, I'm not paying you three to goof off and horse around. Get back to work or I'm cutting your salaries in half!" the older man clapped his hands.
"Yes, sir, Mr. Johnston." David pushed Mike and Jenny aside.
Mr. Johnston walked out.
"Behave, you two! You almost cost me a job!" David slapped both of his siblings.
"Behave?! You're the one who's not behaving!" Jenny pointed out.
"Oh, a real fine way to blame others for your own actions!" Mike sarcastically nodded his head.
"Who's side are you on?" Jenny glared at him.
"I don't know." Mike shrugged.
Two hours later
Still no sign of customers, which started to flare tempers between the three siblings.
"Come on, people! Any day now!" Mike tapped his fingers.
"I'm so tired, I feel like Sleeping Beauty." Jenny yawned.
"Well, Aurora, why don't you go lie down, sleep for a year or two, wait for a prince to wake you with a kiss, and live happily ever after, while, in the meantime why don't you get back into your position as waitress!" David snapped his fingers, again.
"I've been waiting for a long time and nobody has showed up, yet." Jenny stomped her foot.
"Like I said, be patient! I have done and dealt with this for a while, so, to me, it's nothing." David rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, Shemp came in, sat down, and laughed, because, he got there, before anyone else did. Jenny froze in her tracks when she saw him.
"Hello? Is there anyone here?" Shemp called out and looked around, "I could've sworn I saw that the sign said open.".
"Hi, Mister, what will you be having?" David grabbed a notepad and pencil.
"I-beeeee-beee-beee-beee-beeee-beee-beee-beee!" Shemp's eyes got big when he saw David's chest.
"You having an attack, mister?" David grabbed Shemp's shoulder.
"No, kiddo, I just didn't expect to see a chest like yours!" Shemp was clearly impressed by David's chest, "Would you mind if I felt those abs, kid?".
"No, not at all." David smiled, as he was surprised to see that someone was interested in his chest.
"Wowy wow wow! Those are some abs, guns, and muscles, kid." Shemp rubbed David's abs, before putting his hand back onto the table and looking at his own body.
"Anyways, what will you have, sir?" David got ready to write down an order.
"I'll have a hot cup of coffee and maybe a something sweet like a piece of your Cherry pie." Shemp told him.
"I think you're hot, sweet, and adorable." Jenny stared at Shemp.
David and Shemp looked at her in bewilderment and exchanged looks.
"Ignore what she just said." David turned to Jenny and handed her the paper, "Get this gentleman a coffee and piece of Cherry pie.".
Jenny stood there and continued staring at Shemp.
"Hey, knucklehead for a sister, go and get it!" David snapped his finger into her ear.
Jenny went into the kitchen, grabbed the slice of Cherry pie and a cup of hot fresh coffee, and took it to Shemp.
"Thanks, sweetheart." Shemp took the coffee and pie.
Jenny stood at the counter, staring at Shemp and having a smile form on her face.
"How do you do?" Shemp tipped his hat and took it off.
Jenny still stood there and didn't say anything. David came in and bonked her on the head, resulting in a hollow coconut sound.
"Good morning, sunshine!" David slightly raised his voice.
"I'm good. My name is Jenny." Jenny introduced herself.
"Name's Shemp." Shemp extended his hand for a handshake.
Jenny shook his hand, as her eyes lit up and heart started racing.
"Hey, Binky, what are you doing?!" David looked at her.
"Shaking the nice man's hand. Why?" Jenny laughed.
"You better get back to your position or I'll shake you into a pile of goulash!" David shook his fist at her.
"Hey! Hey! That's no way to talk to a lady!" Shemp tapped David on the arm.
"OK." David sarcastically nodded at Shemp, before turning back to Jenny, "Please get back to your position or I'll shake you into a pile of goulash!".
"That's better!" Shemp took another sip of coffee.
Jenny slapped him on the nose and quickly walked off.
"You know? You remind me of somebody with your fiery temper and stuff, only you're a bit meaner." Shemp said.
"What stuff?" David turned to Shemp and folded his arms.
"Skip it." Shemp quickly backed off, after taking another look at David's muscular appearance.
"Woo-woo-woo-woo!" Mike ran out of the kitchen, screaming, and jumped into David's arms.
"What's with you?!" David gave him a weird look.
"There was a huge dog sized bug in the kitchen!" Mike shook.
"Dog sized?! Get outta here!" David dropped him onto the floor, went into the kitchen, found the bug, which turned out to be a small cockroach, and squished it with his foot, before coming back out to the counter.
"Well?" Mike asked.
"I squished it! Now, get back to cleaning the floors, before I squish you!" David pulled Mike by the ear and pushed him into the dining room.
Soon enough, Moe and Larry showed up, looking unamused at Shemp for beating them to the restaurant.
"What's the matter with you, running in ahead of us?! Why I oughta do this to you!" Moe poked Shemp in the eyes.
"Hey, leave him alone!" Jenny grabbed Moe by his tie and bopped him on the nose, resulting in another honking noise.
Moe screamed and rubbed his nose, before looking up at Jenny and getting a flabbergasted, yet happy look on his face.
"Hey, what did you-Oh, hello!" Larry turned around and was surprised to see that Jenny was the one who struck Moe, as a smile formed on his face.
"What's the matter with you, hitting customers?!" David slapped Jenny on the back of the head.
"Hey, bucko, that's no way to-Whooooooa!" Larry got bug-eyed after seeing David's muscular appearance and couldn't help, but, stare.
"Hey, porcupine, this is no time to be-Aah, aah, aah, aah!" Moe also got wide eyed after seeing David's muscular appearance, making his hair raise for a brief moment.
"What can I get you two gentlemen?" David got out his notepad and pencil, again.
"Moe, are we dreaming or are we awake?" Larry couldn't take his eyes off of David's chest.
"Of course, we're awake! It's just that...his muscles are so...huge!" Moe straightened his hair up, while continuing to stare at David's biceps.
"Were you two planning on ordering today or do I have to squeeze it outta you?!" David's veins started to pop out of his arms.
"Oh...uh...I'll have a hot cup of coffee." Larry quickly ordered.
"OK, and you?" David turned to Moe after writing down Larry's order.
"Hold on, I'm still thinking." Moe waved his hand.
"Hurry it up!" Jenny chimed in.
"Who are you rushing?!" David poked her in the eyes.
Moe looked at David in bewilderment, before looking down at his two fingers for a brief moment.
"Sir, are you planning on ordering or just sitting around like a dummy?!" David sounded a bit impatient.
"I'll have a tuna sandwich and a glass of orange juice." Moe told him.
"OK, finally." David said under his breath, before handing the paper off to Jenny.
"Hey, young man, could you put some clothes on, while you're at it?" Moe asked.
"I already have clothes on." David folded his arms.
"He means a shirt!" Jenny brought out Moe and Larry's orders and handed them off.
"Who asked you?" David bonked her on the head, again.
"Hey, hey! Leave her alone!" Shemp lightly slapped David on the shoulder.
"Yeah, that's no way to treat a lady!" Larry joined in.
"Yeah, you big brute!" Moe also joined in.
"Pick on somebody your own size!" Mike punched David on the shoulder.
"Oh, wise guy, eh?" David slapped Mike across the face, again.
"What's the idea?" Mike slapped David back and pretty soon this became a repeated cycle.
"Hey!" Jenny joined in and started banging their heads together.
Shemp started laughing very uncontrollably and slapped his knee, spilling Moe's orange juice.
"Hey, giggles, look what you just did!" Moe said in annoyance.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Moe." Shemp grabbed a towel and cleaned up the orange juice.
"Now, I need another orange juice." Moe slapped Shemp across the face, before turning to the siblings, "Hey, could I get another orange juice?".
"Coming up." David broke free from Jenny's grip and pushed her toward the kitchen, "You heard him! Go get another glass of orange juice!".
Jenny did just that and brought the second glass of orange juice out to Moe.
"Thank you, kid." Moe took the glass, but, still held Jenny's hand, "You know something? You're cute.".
"Just drink your juice." Jenny laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Can't take a compliment, eh?" Moe said under his breath.
"That's probably, because, she got a good look at your kisser and likes me better." Larry laughed.
"Oh, yeah?" Moe turned to Larry and bonked him on the head, "Shut up!".
"No, she likes me!" Shemp chimed in.
"Quiet! Nobody asked you!" Moe looked at him, very annoyed, before, getting ready to take a bite of his sandwich, only for the sandwich to bite him back, "Owwww!".
"What's the matter with you?" Larry asked.
"My sandwich bit me!" Moe stared at his sandwich and started beating it, "I'll beat yer brains out!".
"Ah, you're crazy!" Larry dismissed him with a hand gesture.
"A little salt oughta straighten this out." Moe poured a little salt onto his sandwich and went to pick it up.
The sandwich bit Moe on the finger, making chomping noises.
"Ow, ow, ow, ooh! I'll moider you!" Moe punched his sandwich.
The sandwich squirted mayonnaise all over him.
"I'll moider you!" Moe grabbed Shemp's fork and held it over the sandwich.
The tuna jumped out from between the bread and hopped away.
"Here, Fido, come back!" Moe whistled.
"Who are you whistlin' at?" Shemp asked.
"My tuna jumped out of my sandwich!" Moe had a surprised look on his face.
"Oh, you're crazy!" Shemp dismissed him.
"Look, fellas, we've got to get to that house. Remember, the inheritance?" Larry looked at his watch and whispered.
"In-Inheritance?" David overheard the conversation.
"Huh?" Larry was surprised that David had heard him whisper.
"Yeah, you said something about a house." David leaned onto the counter.
"Yeah, we, well I did, but, the three of us inherited a big house and we're going to go to it." Shemp nodded his head.
"What's it to you?" Moe put his hand up in front of him.
"Gimme a second." David turned his attention to Jenny and Mike and motioned for them, "Hey, lunkheads! Come here!".
"OK, we're here, like you asked, Captain Ahab!" Mike snorted.
"In the kitchen, go ahead!" David pushed him into the kitchen.
Jenny went to go into the kitchen, but, stopped and winked at Shemp, who responded with a tip of his hat. She was quickly pulled into the kitchen by Mike and David.
"OK, David, what's this big proposal you have?" Mike crossed his arms.
"Who said anything about proposals?" David looked at him, weird.
"Well, you yanked us into the kitchen for some reason that is "so important"!" Mike made quotation marks with his fingers.
"Those guys have inherited house and it's a big one. Probably better than what we stayed in last night." David started off.
"OK, where's this headed?" Mike raised an eyebrow.
"Don't you get it, moron?! We could ask those guys if they'd be interested in three more roommates." David suggested.
"No way! I don't wanna live with you!" Jenny shook her head.
"Well, you won't only be living with Mike or me. You'll be living with that guy you like." David flicked her on the nose.
"Bad idea!" Mike brushed the idea off.
"Why's that?" David turned to Mike.
"Because, those three wolves are going to be tearing our sister to shreds in order to get her affections!" Mike shuddered at the thought.
"Nonsense, I'll be there and they're already a wee bit frightened of me and should know not to make me angry, because, they wouldn't like me when I'm angry." David reminded him.
"You're angry all the time." Mike bluntly pointed out, earning a squeeze on his nose by steak tongs, "Ouch!".
"I'm for it, if I get to live with that guy I like." Jenny firmly told him.
"Well, isn't it obvious that you will?" David put the steak tongs back into the drawer.
"Well, which of them do you like, Jen?" Mike rubbed his nose.
"I like the rough looking one." Jenny opened the kitchen door and peaked out.
"Which one? The one with the frizzy hair?" Mike asked.
"No, that one." Jenny said.
"The one with the bowl haircut?!" Mike made a weird face.
"No, the first one who came in. Uh...uh..Shemp is his name." Jenny pointed at Shemp and her eyes lit up.
"Which one is Shemp?" Mike couldn't see who Jenny was pointing to.
"The one who went 'bee-beee-beeee-bee' when he saw my muscles and my chest. He's the one who touched my abs and biceps." David imitated Shemp's noise and oddly enough, sounded identical to him.
"Ohhhh, that one!" Mike shuddered and made a weird noise.
"What are you making noise for?" Jenny raised an eyebrow.
"He looks a little rough." Mike shuddered, again.
"I doubt that matters!" David grabbed a soup ladle and beat him over the head with it.
"Ouch! Listen you!" Mike pointed his finger at David.
David bit down on Mike's finger, real hard.
"How are we going to approach it to them?" Jenny snapped her fingers at them and stomped her foot.
"You leave that to me." David went to walk out, only to be stopped by Mike.
"Wait a dog gone minute! Maybe I want to break it to them! After all, I haven't been able to talk to them." Mike went to go out the door, only to be stopped by Jenny.
"No, I should, because, it's ladies first!" Jenny sassed.
Pretty soon, the trio started fighting over who was going to go out the door first. This fight spilled out to the counter where the three of them tripped over each other and fell down, face first onto the counter. Moe, Larry, and Shemp looked at them in astonishment.
"Ouch!" David, Jenny, and Mike all rubbed their heads.
"Kids, is this any way to behave, hmmm?" Larry asked in parent-like way, while folding his arms.
David, Jenny, and Mike looked at him and gave him a perplexed look.
"What is it, to you kids, about our inheritance?" Moe asked the still unanswered question.
"Well, we have a proposal for you three." David started off.
"OK, let's hear it." Shemp leaned in closer.
"Would you three be willing to take in three struggling siblings who just got kicked to the curb and have no place to go?" David asked, while putting his hands together and making his eyes appear like sad puppy dog eyes.
"You three kids were kicked to the curb?" Larry sounded sympathetic.
"Yes, our landlord kicked us out, as we were low on rent money and late on the rent. Usually, we were never late on anything, but, the landlord was not real easy-going." Mike explained.
"So, what do you guys say?" David waited for an answer.
"Most importantly, what do YOU say?" Jenny turned to Shemp.
Moe, Larry, and Shemp were taken aback by all of this and exchanged looks.
What will they say? Will they be willing to take in these three siblings or not?
