Enter Siblings, Exit Haunted House

Part two:

"Welcome, foolish mortals"

Siblings, David, Jenny, and Mike were kicked out of their apartment and stayed in a run down motel overnight. The next day, Jenny and Mike applied for jobs at the same bar/restaurant and later met Shemp. Shemp was impressed by David's muscular build to even getting lucky enough to touch David's abs, while, Jenny immediately took a liking to Shemp. Moe and Larry showed up and soon enough, there was talk about an inheritance and a house. David, Jenny, and Mike came up with an idea to be roommates with the Stooges. Now the question was, would Moe, Larry, and Shemp accept the three siblings as new roommates?

(Flashback to part one)

"Kids, is this any way to behave, hmmm?" Larry asked in parent-like way, while folding his arms.

David, Jenny, and Mike looked at him and gave him a perplexed look.

"What is it, to you kids, about our inheritance?" Moe asked the still unanswered question.

"Well, we have a proposal for you three." David started off.

"OK, let's hear it." Shemp leaned in closer.

"Would you three be willing to take in three struggling siblings who just got kicked to the curb and have no place to go?" David asked, while putting his hands together and making his eyes appear like sad puppy dog eyes.

"You three kids were kicked to the curb?" Larry sounded sympathetic.

"Yes, our landlord kicked us out, as we were low on rent money and late on the rent. Usually, we were never late on anything, but, the landlord was not real easy-going." Mike explained.

"So, what do you guys say?" David waited for an answer.

"Most importantly, what do YOU say?" Jenny turned to Shemp.

Moe, Larry, and Shemp were taken aback by all of this and exchanged looks.

(Now)

"Well, what do you fellas say?" David waited for an immediate answer.

"What do you say?" Jenny, still looking at Shemp, twirled her hair in her fingers.

"Well, as long as you're there, I'd say yes!" Shemp took Jenny's hand and went to kiss it, only to be slapped in the back of the head by Moe, "Ooh! What's the idea?".

"Who died and left you in charge, lamebrain?!" Moe slapped him, again.

"Hey, let him alone!" Jenny slapped Moe.

"Just who are you hitting?!" David grabbed the steak tongs, again, and squeezed Jenny's nose.

"Hey!" Mike tapped David on the shoulder.

David slapped Mike in the face, again and kicked him in the leg. This definitely got Moe, Larry, and Shemp's attention and surprised them.

"Did you just see that?" Larry whispered to Moe.

"Yeah, that big fella calls the shots." Moe whispered back to Larry, "I like him!"

"Of course you do, because, he's a wise guy, like you." Shemp looked at Moe.

"Oh yeah?" Moe glared at him.

"Yeah!" Shemp nodded.

"That girl is a tough one, too!" Larry pointed at Jenny and stared at her, "She's cute."

"I will admit that despite her tendency to slap." Moe nodded, "I call dibs on asking her out."

"Oh, she don't like you! She's likes me!" Larry dismissed Moe.

"How's that, porcupine?!" Moe folded his arms.

"Because, she keeps eyeing me and plus, after she saw your kisser, she probably got horrified." Larry snorted.

"Oh, yeah?" Moe poked him in the eyes, "Shut up, you!"

"You're both wrong, because, she likes me the best!" Shemp pointed at himself, "Bee-Bee-Beee-Beee!"

"What makes you think she likes you?" Moe turned to Shemp.

"She is extra nice to me and constantly looks at me in a cute way." Shemp looked back at Jenny.

"The only thing that would look at you in a cute way would be buzzard." Moe dismissed him.

"Ahh!" Shemp dismissed him as well.

"Well, we need to give these kids answers on whether or not they could be our roommates, so, what do you say?" Larry turned to Shemp.

"Fine by me, if the girl is coming." Shemp kept staring at Jenny and watched her take on her two brothers.

"OK, how about you Moe?" Larry turned to Moe.

"Well, I like the big guy and his personality and the other guy is more like you, so, it's a yes for me." Moe gave a look of approval.

"OK and what says you?" Larry didn't realize that he had just asked his own reflection.

"I think it's a yes, porcupine!" Moe kicked him.

"Ow! Listen, you!" Larry pointed his finger at Moe.

Moe bit down onto Larry's finger, making a loud crunching sound.

"Cut it out, you two!" Shemp pried them apart, "You know? I've noticed something."

"What did you notice?" Moe asked.

"Those three behave the same way we do." Shemp pointed out the obvious.

"Yeah, I've noticed that. The big one is just like Moe." Larry pointed out.

"So have I, but, I like the big one's personality. Plus, we could use a muscle every now and then, besides my muscle." Moe made a strong pose with his right arm, revealing it to be skinny and not so muscular, "Double crosser!".

"Well, what do you gentlemen say?" David pushed Mike and Jenny aside.

"We say yes." Moe, Larry, and Shemp replied at the same time, in unison.

"Thank you!" Mike came over to the counter and pushed David aside.

"Hey, wise guy! I was here first and I am the oldest!" David tried to push Mike aside.

"You're the meanest!" Jenny pulled a hair out of David's mustache.

"Ow! Why you!" David put his finger in his sister's face.

Jenny bit down on her brother's finger, making the sound of an eggshell cracking.

"Will you two for once act your ages?!" Mike pried his older siblings apart.

"Well, I speak for the three of us when I say thank you very much! What can we do to ever repay you three gentlemen?" David asked.

"Hey, we have voices too!" Mike and Jenny said in unison.

"Shut up, you two!" David slapped them across the face at the same time.

"Well, first things first, introduce yourselves." Larry told them.

"Oh. My name is Michael. I go by Mike and these are my "oh so lovely" siblings, David and Jennifer. She goes by Jenny." Mike introduced all three of them, annoying David and Jenny and earning their looks of disapproval.

"Spread out!" David stepped on Mike's foot, got in front of him, turned to the Stooges, and extended his hand out for a handshake, "I'm David, the very strong one, as you three can see."

"Pleased to meet you, son. I'm Moe." Moe shook David's hand.

"Larry." Larry tipped his fat and shook David's hand.

"You've met me already. I'm the one who felt your muscles and abs, but, since, this is a proper meeting, my name is Shemp." Shemp shook David's hand.

"It's nice to officially and properly meet you three." David stepped back and flexed his muscles.

"Hey, Hercules, when you're done flexing, maybe you could let us meet these lovely gentlemen, even though, we've met one already." Jenny impatiently tapped David on the shoulder.

"Well, go on!" David pushed her towards the Stooges.

"I'm Jenny. The nicer and the cuter of the three of us." Jenny held out her hand for a handshake.

"Yes, you sure are cute. I'm Moe." Moe shook her hand and admired her beauty.

"Hey, tip your hat when there's a lady in the room." Shemp quickly reminded him.

"Oh, my error." Moe tipped his hat, after letting go of Jenny's hand, before giving Shemp a look.

"I'm Larry." Larry shook her hand, while still wearing his hat.

"Hey, porcupine! Tip your hat or take it off! There's a lady present." Moe slapped Larry on the back of the head.

"Oh, I'm sorry, kid." Larry took off his hat, while looking into Jenny's eyes, after letting go of her hand.

"You've already met me, too, but, since, this is a proper meeting, I'm Shemp. It's nice to meet you, kiddo." Shemp shook her hand and held onto it, very gently, "You know, you are as cute as a button."

Jenny smiled, giggled, and blushed, after Shemp kissed her hand.

"Hey, Prince Charming, I think we have one more sibling to meet, so, wrap it up." Moe snapped his fingers, while sporting a jealous look.

"You know, Shemp, you are kinda cute, yourself and since, you are a gentleman, pardon me for doing this." Jenny was about to possibly give him a kiss, when she was stopped by Mike.

"Hey, Snow White, why don't you go tend to your seven dwarves, while I introduce myself to these gentlemen." Mike impatiently tapped his foot on the floor.

"Oh, you!" Jenny turned to Mike and dismissed him, before turning back to Shemp, "Let's give this a rain check until later on."

"Go on, move aside. They need to meet Mike." Mike stepped in front of her and turned to the Stooges.

"You're Mike, you imbecile!" David kicked him in the rear end.

"Hey, listen you!" Mike tried to look bigger than his brother, yet again, but, failed terribly.

"Go ahead!" David flexed his biceps and kicked him, again.

"Hey, how do you do? I'm Mike." Mike extended his hand for a handshake, turned to David and barked at him, before turning back to Moe, Larry, and Shemp.

"Pleased to meet you. I'm Moe." Moe shook Mike's hand.

"I'm Larry." Larry shook Mike's hand.

"I'm not sure if we've met earlier, but, since, we are officially meeting, I'm Shemp." Shemp shook Mike's hand, "Nice to meet you, kiddo."

"So, now that we've met, let's go to that house you three were talking about." David quickly wrapped up the meeting.

"We will, but, first put your clothes on." Moe stopped him from coming out from behind the counter.

"Yeah, you don't want to catch cold, son." Shemp nodded.

"Oh, he only needs to put his shirt back on." Jenny reassured them.

"Yeah, he only took it off, because, he just loves to flex his muscles." Mike rolled his eyes.

"Well, what's wrong with flexing?!" David put his shirt on and shot an annoyed glare at his siblings.

"You do it way too often." Jenny came out from behind the counter and was immediately greeted by Moe, Larry, and Shemp.

"Hey, I don't tell you how to live your life!" David also came out from behind the counter, Mike following him.

"So, are we going now?" David asked impatiently, while rubbing his hands together.

"Yes, we're going. Don't rush, young man." Moe told him.

"Who'll walk me out?" Jenny asked.

"Walk yourself out, bubble brain!" David made the "go on" hand gesture.

"I will!" Larry walked up to Jenny, only to be stopped by Moe.

"Oh, no you won't!" Moe pulled Larry by the hair, pushed him aside, and walked up to Jenny, only to be stopped by Shemp.

"If anyone should, it should be me!" Shemp pushed Moe aside.

"Who are you pushing?!" Moe slapped Shemp.

"Ooh! Cut that out!" Shemp slapped Moe.

"Well, let the poor girl choose." Larry chimed in.

"Fair enough. Who do you choose, Jenny?" Moe asked, while pointing at himself.

"I choose...Shempy." Jenny motioned for Shemp.

"Beee-beee-beee-beee-beee!" Shemp got all excited and held out his arm in order for her to put her arm into his.

"Let's go." Jenny put her arm into Shemp's arm.

"Right this way, baby." Shemp walked Jenny out.

"How do you like that?!" Moe folded his arms out of annoyance, "Why, I oughta mash him like a potato!"

"I'll show him that there's more than one Romeo around here!" Larry sported a jealous look.

"Uh, fellas?" Mike and David looked Moe and Larry.

"Oh, yeah, let's go." Moe and Larry walked out, followed by David and Mike.

Outside of the bar/restaurant

As David changed the open sign to closed, Shemp and Jenny were about to share a kiss, when they were interrupted by Mike, Moe, and Larry.

"Shall we get going?" Moe pulled Shemp aside and got in front of Jenny, "I meant what I said before, when I said you are cute."

"Thank you." Jenny smiled, then quickly turned aside, and rolled her eyes, before turning back to Moe and Shemp's direction.

"Pardon me." Larry moved Moe aside, got in front of Jenny, grabbed her hand, and placed a kiss on it, "You're very beautiful, miss."

Moe bonked Larry on the head and pulled him aside.

"Hey, what's the idea?!" Larry gave him a look.

"That girl is mine, so, lay off!" Moe bopped him on the nose, resulting in another honking noise.

"No, she's mine!" Larry slapped Moe across the face, which resulted into a cycle of repeated slaps.

"You both are off your rockers, because, she clearly wants me!" Shemp knocked their heads together.

"What makes you think she's yours?!" Moe turned to him and put his hands on his hips.

"Well, she's extra nice to me and she thinks I am cute." Shemp crossed his arms and nodded his head.

"Lamebrain, she's only being nice to you." Moe poked him in the eyes.

"Oh! Why you!" Shemp moved his hand up and down, making Moe's head follow the movements until Shemp bonked him on the head, poked him in the eyes, and closed it with a slap to Moe's face, followed by a bark.

Jenny, finding it cute of Shemp to do that, started laughing hysterically to the point of tears coming down her face.

"See here, as you made her cry!" Moe saw Jenny's tears.

"You meanie! Making a girl cry!" Larry slapped Shemp on the back of the head.

"There, there, toots, don't cry." Moe patted Jenny on the shoulder.

"Yeah, he don't know how to treat women!" Larry rubbed Jenny's shoulder.

"Come on, kid, I didn't mean to-Wait a minute! She ain't cryin', she's laughing!" Shemp dismissed Moe and Larry.

"Wait, you're laughing?" Moe got a weird look on his face, before breathing a sigh of relief, "Phew! That's a relief."

"Yeah, I'm laughing." Jenny walked closer to Shemp and put her arms around his waist, "You're very cute and funny."

"Uh, isn't there a house we need to be going to?" David and Mike took a protective stance beside Jenny.

"Yeah, get in the car!" Jenny pushed her two brothers into their car and shut the door, but, not all the way.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, oooh, ooh, oooh hooo!" David was screaming, sounding very nasily.

"What's the matter? You got a cold or something?" Mike tapped David on the shoulder.

"No!" David tugged Jenny's arm, "Hey, Jennifer!"

"What?" Jenny turned around.

"Get my nose outta the door! I'm suffocating to death!" David pointed to his squished nose.

"Oh! I'm sorry." Jenny opened the door, releasing David's nose.

"Ooooh!" David rubbed his nose.

"David! Oh, David, I'm sorry! Are you alright?" Jenny put her hand on David's shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." David answered.

"I'm sorry I squished your nose." Jenny really felt bad that she did that to her brother.

"Oh, don't worry, kid. That can happen to anybody." David was seemingly forgiving her and not losing his temper.

"Oh, gee, really?" Jenny had a relieved look on her face.

"No!" David poked her in the eyes.

"Ow! What's the big idea?!" Jenny rubbed her eyes.

"What were you trying to do?! Break my nose off?!" David bopped her nose, again, resulting in a honking noise.

"Ouch!" Jenny rubbed her nose, before balling up her fist, "Do you see this?!"

"Yeah, I see it!" David slapped her fist, which resulted in him getting hit by it, "Owww!"

Mike laughed at his brother and sister, before taking another hair out of David's mustache.

"Ow! Will you cut that out?!" David slapped Mike.

Jenny, wanting to ignore her brothers, shut the car door, real loudly.

"Well, let's get going. Shall we?" Moe asked.

"Yupp." Jenny nodded and opened the backseat door, "Move over you two!"

"I'm the driver!" David got out of the car and was about to get into the driver's seat, but, was stopped by Jenny.

"Wait a minute, if it's their house that we are going to, then we should let one of them drive." Jenny told him.

"Oh, my error." David got out of the driver's seat, "OK, who wants the keys?"

"I do! I do! I do!" Moe, Larry, and Shemp all said in a sing-song way.

"OK, whoever catches the keys will drive." David tossed the keys up into the air.

Moe caught the keys and got into the driver's seat. David climbed into the passenger seat, while Larry sat next to Mike and Shemp sat next to Jenny. It didn't matter where they sat, just as long as Jenny could be close to Shemp, that's all that mattered to her. As soon as Moe started the car, they were off to their new house. David and company were excited that they were finally getting a house that they were going to own from top to bottom and not have to go from motel to motel to motel. Jenny was also excited that she was getting to live with the man she was crushing on. While they were heading to the house, Shemp rested his head, affectionately, on Jenny's shoulder.

"Shemp, are you a married man?" Jenny asked.

"No." Shemp shook his head.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Jenny was curious.

"No, but, I had a lot of lady friends before, but, none of them were relationships and plus, they weren't as pretty as you are." Shemp gave her an affectionate gaze.

"I bet you've said that most women." Jenny put her arm around him.

"I have, but, none of the women I have met were as beautiful as you are, kid. None of them were as nice as you are." Shemp put his arm around her, "You're just the cutest one of the bunch and the prettiest. You had me at hello."

Jenny smiled after he said that and held him closer to her and tighter, too.

Finally, they arrived to the castle looking house which happened to look a bit spooky on the outside. Moe, Larry, Mike, and David took notice of this, while Jenny and Shemp were sound asleep.

"Hey, Shemp, this place looks spooky!" Larry grimaced at the sight of the house.

No answer.

"Shemp, did ya hear what Larry said? Are you sure this is the house?" Moe was a wee bit spooked at the sight of the house.

Still no answer.

"Shemp?" Larry and Moe called out.

The only was a snore followed by a 'bee-bee-beeee-beee' coming from Shemp.

"Hey, Jenny, this places looks cool. What do you think?" Mike asked.

No answer, again.

"Hey, knucklehead, Mike asked you a question." David called out.

Still nothing, except another high pitched whistle coming from Jenny, who was resting her head on Shemp's chest.

"Hey, Shempy and Jenny, we're here." Larry called out, again.

"You guys, they're sleeping." Mike looked over at Shemp and Jenny.

"Hey, Romeo and Juliet, wake up and look alive!" Moe and David shook Shemp and Jenny awake.

"Hey! I was having the best dream!" Shemp said to Moe, a little annoyed.

"I was having my beauty sleep! Whaddya have to wake me up for?!" Jenny stretched, only for Shemp and her to bump their elbows into each other's faces, and look directly at each other, "Whoa! I'm sorry, Shemp!"

"I'm sorry, Jenny. I didn't mean to hit you with my elbow." Shemp rubbed Jenny's face, gently.

"Think nothing of it." Jenny patted his shoulder, before turning to her brothers, "Where are we?"

"We're at the house they inherited." David pointed at the house.

"Ooh, that spooky looking place?" Jenny shuddered at the sight of the house.

"Yeah, where did you think we were?! A fancy castle?!" David shot back with a lot of snark in his voice.

"Well, maybe if we touch it up, then it'll be fancy." Jenny shrugged.

"We meaning you and Mike!" David glared at her.

"Count me out!" Mike dismissed his brother.

"Oh, too lazy to work, eh?" David flicked him on the nose.

"No, too scared, because, of that fog that is starting to roll in." Mike covered his eyes.

"Oh, it's just mist, you big baby!" David dismissed him and turned to Moe, "I think we'd better get inside, because, staying in a car too long isn't quite comfortable and plus, we won't know what it looks like on the inside, if we stay out here. Right, Moe?"

"Right." Moe nodded.

"Right." Larry added.

"Right." Shemp joined in.

"Right." Jenny gave a thumbs up.

"Wrong." Mike answered.

They all looked at him, confused expressions forming on their faces, except for David, who suddenly, turned his confused expression to an annoyed one and followed it by bonking Mike on the head.

"Ow! You see this?" Mike made a fist and pulled another hair out of David's mustache and goatee.

"Ouch! Cut that out!" David slapped Mike's fist, only for it to deflect and hit him on the head, "Ow! Cut that out, too!"

"Why don't you both cut it out and go inside?!" Jenny rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, is that any way to behave?" Shemp nodded to Jenny, agreeing with her.

"Yeah, Mike, do you think that is any way to behave?" David turned to Mike.

Mike pondered for a minute, before, shrugging.

"My mistake! I told him to think!" David turned to Moe, before, getting out of the car.

"I like that guy." Moe turned to Larry, before, getting out of the car.

"What's to like about a guy who is a big bully?" Shemp got a weird look on his face.

"Exactly." Mike and Jenny said in unison.

"Oh, Moe's that way, so, it's natural that he'd like someone who is exactly like him." Larry pointed out the obvious.

"I think Moe finally met his match." Shemp nodded.

"Nah, nobody could be as mean and hot-headed as David is!" Jenny shook her head.

"Hot-headed? His might be on fire! We better cool that head of his off, before, it explodes like a bomb. Jenny, we should grab a bucket of water." Mike told her.

"Why, you idiot!" Jenny slapped Mike and flicked him on the nose, "Hot-headed means that he is quick to anger and ain't it obvious that David gets angry too fast?"

"Oh, yeah, he does." Mike nodded.

"Yeah, he-" Jenny shot an annoyed glare at her younger brother.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get out of the car." Larry went to get out, but, was stopped by Shemp.

"Larry, I'm surprised at you! Don't you have any manners?" Shemp pointed his head at Jenny, "You know there's a lady here and we should let her out first."

"Oh, you're right." Larry turned to Jenny and motioned for her to go ahead of him, "I'm sorry, kid."

"Thank you." Jenny nodded at Larry, before turning to Shemp and rubbing his chin with her thumb, "Thank you, Shemp, you're a gentleman."

"Hey, quit lollygagging and come on." Moe motioned for the rest of them.

Jenny got out of the car, followed by Shemp, Mike, and Larry. Shemp was standing beside her and had his arm around her. Everyone walked up to the door of the house and knocked on it. The door opened, without somebody opening it, letting everyone in and quickly shutting, before the blink of an eye.

"That's strange!" Moe said.

"Yeah, nobody would ordinarily leave a door open to a house this size." Larry replied.

"Maybe somebody isn't home." Mike offered.

"Quiet!" David flicked him on the nose.

"Maybe somebody will show us around. You know, like a butler or the person who gives us the key after going over everything." Shemp suggested and shrugged, "Let's wait and see."

"For once, Shemp has a point." Moe pointed at Shemp, in agreement.

Pretty soon, a man dressed like a vampire, cape and all and holding candles, came out of the shadows.

"Oh, good evening." They all greeted the older man.

The fancy looking man nodded to them and had a stoic expression on his face.

"You must be the groundskeeper. Are you going to show us around?" Jenny asked.

"Welcome, foolish mortals." the man stoically greeted, revealing a thick Hungarian-like accent in his voice, before motioning for them to follow him, "Come this way, please. Follow the light of my candles."

"I guess we go right ahead." Shemp shrugged, trying to act brave, even though he was a wee bit disturbed by how the man greeted them.

Moe, Larry, and company followed them, trying to keep a brave face, despite being a little disturbed by what the man said.

"Oh, I hope we didn't walk into a haunted house." Mike's teeth were chattering.

"That's a fine thing to say!" Jenny remarked, very sarcastically.

"Shut up, you two!" David whispered, before bonking them on their heads.

They finally approached another room, which looked like it had been designed in the Art Deco style, but, it was overwhelmed by dust and spider webs.

"Ooh, fancy." Larry commented.

"Fancy? It has dust and spider webs all over." Moe gave him a strange look, while continuing to stare at the spider webs and dust, "Didn't whoever lived here, before, ever clear this room of the dust and webs?"

"Yes, it used to be cleaned every so often, but, the previous owner passed away and there hasn't been anyone here to clear the dust and webs, let alone come into this house." the elegantly dressed man stated.

"Oh." Moe nodded his head, but, still sported the same strange look on his face, exchanged glances with Larry, before quickly turning his attention to what was ahead of him.

"I don't like it here." Mike didn't like the freaky vibe the house was giving off, "I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach."

"You have a bad feeling all the time." Jenny brushed him off.

"Yeah, you never like it anywhere we go." David also brushed him off, "So, where are the rooms and what's this room?"

"This room is the living room. Over there is the dining hall and over there is the kitchen where all meals are prepared." the man had a robotic, yet, eerie tone to his voice, "I shall show you to your rooms now."

They walked to the ever so dusty staircase, but, just before Shemp stepped onto the stairs, a chandelier was creaking, while swinging back and forth, looking as if it was about to fall.

"Shemp, hit the deck!" Jenny jumped and tackled him to the floor.

The chandelier fell, causing it to go dark, but, the fancy dressed man lit up some lanterns and handed them to each of them.

"Whoa! Thank you, Jenny. I owe you one." Shemp stood up and took his lantern, before going up the stairs to follow the man.

They got upstairs and were now in the hallway, which had six bedrooms.

"I'll show each of you to your rooms. Everybody gets their own room, nobody shares one. That would be awkward." the man walked to the first bedroom door, opened the door, and turned to Moe, "This one is your room."

"OK." Moe walked into his room.

"This is your room." the man walked across from Moe's room, opened the door, and turned to Larry.

"Oh boy, my own room." Larry excitedly ran into his room.

"This is your room." the man walked diagonally across from Larry's room, opened the door, and turned to Shemp.

"Ooh, fancy. I like it." Shemp walked into his room.

"This one is yours, my lady." the man opened the door to the room across from Shemp's.

"Yay. Finally." Jenny went inside her room and jumped onto the bed.

"That one over there is yours." the man showed Mike to his room, turned to David, and pointed to the last room, "That one is yours."

"Thanks." Mike ran into his room.

"Finally!" David walked into his room and sat onto the bed.

"However, there are two things I must tell you." the man sounded a bit scared.

"What is it, mister?" David came out of his room and motioned for everyone else.

"I must advise you all that you are brave enough to live here, because, me, on the other hand, I wouldn't stay one minute in this house." the man ran down the stairs.

"Wait, what was the other thing?" Shemp stood in his doorway.

"There will be spooks, ghosts, monsters, blood, and murder." the man headed straight to what seemed to be the front door.

"Wait, what is your name?" Jenny asked.

The man had disappeared, before, he had the chance to answer the question. Moe, Larry, Shemp, and company all stood around for a moment and scratched their heads, before shrugging it off. However, Mike had a semi-confused, semi-scared look in his eye. Everyone took notice of this, immediately.

"What's with you, kid?" Larry looked at Mike.

"What that guy said scared me, but, after he abruptly left like that, I'm really scared now." Mike bit down on his lip.

"You're always scared!" David brushed Mike's fears off and turned to the Stooges, "Ignore him."

"I'm gonna go follow that guy." Jenny started down the stairs.

"Wait a minute!" David also started down the stairs.

"What?" Jenny put her hand on her hip.

"Why are you going to follow him?" David shrugged.

"I just want to ask him why he got scared like that. However, I may want someone to go with me." Jenny pushed her brother aside.

"I'll go with you." Moe, Larry, and Shemp all volunteered at the same time.

"I choose Shemp." Jenny pointed at Shemp.

Shemp got all excited like a kid on Christmas day and walked over to her.

"Miss, I'm sorry, did you say something?" the man returned, much to their surprise.

"Yes, I asked you what your name was." Jenny told him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I owe you all a thousand apologies for my unwarranted behavior and for running off like that." the man apologized, before, clearing his throat, "My name is Count Anthony Alucard."

"Nice to meet you, Count." Jenny shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Shemp." Shemp shook the Count's hand and admired the cape he wore, "I love your cape. Very fancy. I should get one for myself."

"I don't think so, chowder head." Moe remarked.

"Thank you, Shemp." Count Alucard smiled, lips closed and starting to look pale.

"You alright, Count?" Moe noticed the Count's face was pale and eyes started to look red.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for asking, but, I must go, because, it is getting late. However, before I do, I just want to tell you all goodnight and..." Count Alucard went to the front door, opened it, and looked back for a brief moment, "Rest in peace."

"Goodnight." Everyone said back, just as he shut the door and left.

"Well, let's retire to bed." Moe shrugged and went to go into his bedroom, but, was stopped when Larry grabbed his arm.

"Did you hear what he said?" Larry was clearly scared, now more than ever.

"Yeah, goodnight." Moe slapped Larry on the forehead.

"No, after that, he told us to rest in peace!" Larry was shaking.

"Get off my arm!" Moe shook Larry off of his arm.

"You only put that on gravestones!" Larry's teeth began to chatter and knots started to form in his stomach, "Somebody's gonna end up killed!"

"Shut up, lamebrain and go to bed!" Moe slapped Larry across the face and slammed his door.

"Shemp, you heard what he said, right?" Larry walked up to Shemp.

"Yeah, he said rest in peace. He wants us to-Wait a minute! Rest in peace? You only put that on tomb stones! OK, now I'm scared! Hee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee!" Shemp jumped into Larry's arms.

"Oh, get off!" Larry dropped Shemp onto the floor, "Listen, don't get panicked. Remember, we're the-"

"Look, there's no reason to be scared like Moe said." David told Larry and Shemp.

"Don't give us that, kid. You also heard what he said about rest in peace." Larry retorted.

"You guys are-" David was interrupted almost immediately.

"Wait, David. Shemp and Larry have a point about that Count Alucard guy telling us to rest in peace. You know that goes on graves!" Mike grabbed David's arm and had a vice grip on it, "We're gonna die, I just know it!"

"Oh, you too? Get outta here!" David bonked him on the head, again.

Suddenly, the lights went out without anyone touching a switch. This scared Mike, Shemp, and Larry to the point of Mike jumping into David's arms, Shemp jumping into Jenny's arms, and Larry running into his room, slamming the door, and barricading himself in.

"Mike, get off!" David said, very annoyed.

"No way! I'm too scared!" Mike was shaking in David's arms and chattering his teeth.

"If you don't get off of me by the time I get to three, I'll rip your brain stem out and tie it around your neck!" David glared at him.

"I'd like to see you try!" Mike taunted.

"I'm serious, Mike! I will not only rip your brain stem out, but, I'll also stick my foot somewhere a foot has never gone before!" David made a subtle threat.

Mike, not wanting to be on the receiving end of either threat, got out of David's arms, ran into his room, and locked the door. David grabbed a match and lit his lantern back up, providing some light.

"Thanks, kid." Shemp told him.

"Shempy, you can get down now." Jenny reassured him.

Shemp got out of her arms and composed himself, in order to look as if he wasn't scared when clearly he was.

"Look, there's a logical explanation to why it got so dark and to why the Count said what he said." David pointed out.

"Oh, really? And you have one, I suppose!" Jenny answered, very sarcastically.

"Yes, I do! Now, shut up!" David flicked her on the nose.

"Hey, leave her alone! That's no way to treat a lady!" Shemp chimed in.

"Lady or not, somebody needs to put her in her place. Like how Moe does it." David put his hands on his hips.

"Well, as long as I'm here, you won't be bullying her!" Shemp took a tough stance.

"Oh, yeah?" David snarked.

"Yeah!" Jenny shot back.

"Nobody asked you!" David slapped her.

Jenny slapped him back, only to get her eyes poked by him.

"Hey!" Shemp kicked him in the leg.

David bonked Shemp on the head with one hand, while he flicked Jenny on the nose with the other hand.

"Leave her alone." Shemp rubbed his head.

David did the same exact thing, again, this time, surprisingly, getting his comeuppance when Shemp turned him into his direction, moving his hand back and forth and up and down, making David follow the movements with his head, and finally biting down onto David's nose. Jenny took this opportunity to kick her brother in his already sore behind.

"I'll moider (murder) both of you!" David took a step back and rubbed his nose.

"Oh yeah?" Jenny pulled a few hairs out of his mustache.

"Ow! Listen you!" David pointed his finger at his sister.

Jenny bit his finger and stepped onto his foot. David bonked her on the head and flicked her on the nose. Pretty soon, this spilled into a fight between the siblings.

"Oh, c'mon, kiddos. Cut it out." Shemp pried the two apart.

David and Jenny took a few deep breaths, trying to compose themselves.

"Now, is this any way to behave before bedtime, hmmm?" Shemp sounded like a parent, putting his hands on his hips and tapping his foot.

"No." David and Jenny answered at the same time.

"Now, can't we settle down before sleepy time?" Shemp asked in the same hilarious manner.

"Yes." David and Jenny nodded at the same time.

"OK, now shake hands." Shemp tried to hold back any laughter and act serious.

David and Jenny briefly shook hands.

"Now, let's shake on it." Shemp held out his hands and received handshakes from the two siblings.

"Group hug!" Jenny pulled Shemp and David into a hug.

"Oh no!" David groaned.

"Heee-bee-bee-bee!" Shemp liked the group hug.

"Now, let's go off to bed." Jenny told them, before going into her room and shutting the door.

Shemp and David made a move to go to their rooms, but, bumped into each other, only to brush it off and go into their rooms and shut their doors. Everyone made a move to get ready for and go to bed. Pretty soon, everyone blew out their candles, got into their beds, and seemingly went to sleep.

Will they be able to sleep during the night?
