So after watching Scooby-Doo Meets Courage The Cowardly Dog. I want to write a fic that focuses on the two dogs. I also thought, what if Courage got hurt after the final battle of the movie? Well you're about to find out.

Disclaimer: I don't OWN Scooby Doo and Courage The Cowardly Dog

Courage was running as fast as he could, with a meteor in his paws, trying to get as far from that giant Cicada Queen as possible. He began to hop on each of one of the rocks that was floating from the ground, that were under the effects of the meteor. He now just has to get up to the windmill and save his new friends The Mystery Inc and his owner Muriel, from that bug monster. He hid behind the windmill, hoping it will give him time to think and come up with a plan. But a huge cicada fore leg attempt to grabbed him and the small pup give out a scream of terror.

He put the meteor in his hands and tied it up with his ears so he could climb on the windmill, all the while of not getting caught. He kept climbing and swinging all the while of trying not to get caught by the huge fore legs of the giant cicada. His arms and legs felt sore from all the climbing, but he kept going.

He hid behind of the poles of the windmill, with his heart pounding, but looked up and barley dodge as one of the cicada's arm almost grabbed him. He kept going higher on the windmill, until he squeeze into the corner of the windmill's poles, as he used his arms and legs ton kept himself from falling. Cold sweat drip on his face, and his heart was beating faster then normal. He had never been this scared in his entire life, everyone was counting on him. Scooby, Shaggy and Muriel's lives were on his paws.

To the small dog's horror he saw one of the cicada's arms attempting to tear the windmill apart and before Courage could do anything the windmill suddenly snapped apart like a wishbone and suddenly the small pink dog felt no solid ground and saw the ground zoomed up to meet him in a brownish blur, he braced for impact as he bounced onto the ground, pain sear onto his body, as he felt the meteor leaving his ears' grasped. Courage turned ignoring the pain that was scorching through his body and to his horror, the Cicida Queen was standing beneath him. Courage gave out a horrified scream, as the giant bug give an glare. Courage felt as small and hopeless as a mouse, he turned and saw the meteor two inches from him, and can think of one thing to do.

He quickly grabbed the meteor and spun it as if it was a disco ball, a purple light beamed to shrunk the Cicada Queen down and used all of the remains of the windmill and that was floating in the sky to make a cage as he ran and got out of way to avoid the boards that fall on the giant bug. Courage then use the meteor to turn everything back to normal and free his new friends from the rocks and everyone and everything landed safely on the ground.

Courage couldn't believe it. It was all over. He had just save everyone from the wrath of the giant cicada.

"Way a go little pink dude." Shaggy said, as he and his friends went up to the small dog.

Courage smiled, it was Shaggy who inspired him earlier in the cornfield to stand up and face his fears. He had never had friends that are as kind and understanding as Shaggy and Scooby.

As Scooby was just about to say something to his new friend, he stopped. Courage titled his head, what was the matter with the Great Dane?

He didn't get a respond, as Scooby looked up and saw wings of the windmill falling from the sky and falling towards Courage!

"COURAGE, WATCH OUT!" Scooby cried out in a desperate warning.

Courage looked up, gasped and froze in terror, as he saw a big wings crashing towards him, he tried to run but the wings knocked the breath out of his body. Pain ran through his head, as if a hammer suddenly slam through his skull. Everyone screamed out his name. Their voices echo through his head, as his mind started to grow fuzzy, The pain and the world spun all around him and everything went black.

"COURAGE NOOO!" Muriel screamed out in horror, as she just saw a the wings crushed her beloved dog.

"Like, he's been squashed!" Shaggy wailed out.

Scooby saw the meteor that was knocked from Courage, he quickly grabbed it spun and a purple light beam shrunk the wings. He ran off to get Courage it see if he was okay.

He met a gruesome sight. Courage had a nasty gash on his head, as blood gushed out.

"Courage, can you hear me?" Scooby answered pleading. No answer.

His pink fur was pale, Scooby put a ear to the small pup's chest. He could hear a pulse, but it was faint.

"COURAGE!" Muriel screamed out, as she tried to ran to her little dog, but Shaggy and Daphne were holding her back.

"Shaggy, call 911!" Velma, shouted, knowing the longer that they wait, the less chance Courage has.

Shaggy didn't need to be told twice, as he immediately grabbed his phone and starting dial the number.

Scooby, looked down at the beagle with a grim look, this dog had just save his and possibly the world, he doesn't deserve this. He can only hope that Courage was gonna survived this.

An hour later, they eventually unmasked the cicada which turns out to be a robot controlled by Katz and Le Quack, as the two explained they wanted the meteor for power and riches. Shaggy had to keep Scooby calm as he attempt to attack the two criminals that cause all of this. They're eventually arrested by the General and Lieutenant, took the metetor to bring it to a place where no harm could be done, and brought back the money and valuables to their original owners (except for the clown.) much to Eustace's dismay.

Muriel can only bonked on her greedy husband's head. They're now in the ambulance, with Courage on a stretcher, as Scooby and Muriel insisted on coming along, both really anxious and worried about the injured pup. The Mystery Inc stayed behind to look after the farm and keep Eustace out of trouble.

Scooby looked at Courage, his head was already in bandaged to stop the bleeding and he was hooked on a monitor to keep an eye out on the heart, that was beating slowly.

Scooby leaned down to the stretcher and whispered to the pink hound, even though he knew he couldn't hear him. "hang in there Courage."
