The grand opening and Captain Kitty Hawk stood proudly by his Kat Car for photos and even a few autographs as he was touched by those citizens who were asking him. Ianto was face palming now and then as he watched the other kids play for their local 'super hero' even as some other kids were walking around in their own getups. It was like a comic-con convention for midgets. I shit you not. IT was weird.

But… it is an art center. Right? That stage would need some good actors.

Jack had his coat on against the slight chill in the air, standing there laughing so hard he was rocking back on his feet, filing the crisp air with noise and warmth. More than several people were milling around him like he was the one on show. Maybe he was… so dammed handsome and debonair as he regaled everyone with stories of his childhood. God, he was such a shit. Gray came up more than once and Ianto was pleased to hear that. After all this time, both of them found it hard to talk about their siblings. So close to them still. Ianto hoped that one day his could speak of his Taddy without… damn. Went there.

Jack saw Ianto's face change before he slipped behind the uncut ribbon and disappeared inside, excusing himself politely from the crowd and following him in. Don't' worry. Ton took over to explain to everyone why there is a bright yellow bunny rabbit on the corner of the building out of place. Babbit needed representation and he had spray painted that himself in the night like a real life tagger. Everyone thought he was so cute, especially as the rabbit was actually really well done. This boy had hidden talents... just like Ianto. And Jacks' gift of the gab as he then moved to a story about one of his little flying foxes.

"Are you ok?" Jack asked softly as he came up behind his love.

"Thinking about Rhia and Gray, thinking about loss, slid to Taddy… then the fire. Why does fire seem to follow me everywhere?" Ianto asked.

"The dragon blood in your veins calls it maybe… like the arseholery blood in me calls draws things to trip over?" Jack offered and Ianto turned to face him, trying to frown but unable to as Jack leaned in and kissed him soundly. "come on lover… my handsome toy boy… look at you. You know… they say sex on a stage is… what! Awwwww. Not hitting, I will tell Captain Kitty Hawk to get you!"

Ianto hugged Jack and kissed him again as he whispered "No sex on the stage… splinters. But in the hot tub later… I might be fair game."

"Wwwwwwweeeellllllllll….. let's get that ribbon cut and … damn. We have to be polite for another hour at least before I can get slippery with you. Bastard, how the hell can I behave now!" Jack whined as he followed Ianto back outside… the atmosphere light once more.

Love is like that.

For them.
