AN: I have 11 chapters in daft. This story will have 33 chapters. When I first wrote this book, I thought of having 38, but I just figured I'd bring it down to 33 so It's not so long. I hope you are enjoying this book so far. I'm loving writing it.
Three days later, July 9, 2032
Three days after Charlotte's arrival, Jocelyn and Jake are preparing to bring her home to Jocelyn's parent's house for the first time.
Even though, Jocelyn made her feelings about Jake clear to him three days ago, Jake still wants to be there for his daughter. They didn't get to do this with their oldest two, Carter and Caliey. They were put up for adoption two and half years ago when Jocelyn was fifteen and Jake was seventeen.
Laura is thirty seven weeks pregnant with Emma. Bailey is thirty one weeks pregnant with Isabella. Rayeleigh and Leah are twenty four weeks pregnant with their daughters, and Maya is now twelve weeks pregnant.
The tension between Jocelyn and Jake hasn't left yet ever since Jocelyn telling Jake everything she was feeling now that their daughter is here. She wasn't willing to continue hooking up with someone or throw away someone that could be so good for her in the long run.
After getting discharged from the hospital, Jocelyn and Jake headed to Zack and Maya's house with the baby. The car ride to Jocelyn's was silent and they didn't have much to say to each other anyway.
What was the point if it had nothing to do with their children?
When they finally arrived there, Jocelyn slowly got out of the car and her father helped her get inside while Jake grabbed Charley and the bags and then walked into the house with his daughter in her carrier.
Rayeleigh walked over to him as he placed the baby on the floor by the couch. "Awww, she's so cute, Jake."
Jake smiles at his girlfriend, looking down at the baby he created. "Yeah, she is." He says. "How were Carter and Caliey?"
Rayeleigh smiles, chuckling a bit. "It gave me a crash course to how it's gonna be like with the baby in my belly." She lays a hand on her belly and rubs it. "It was good practice."
Jake grins. "Where are they?" He asks her. Rayeleigh smiles. "They should be in the playroom."
As Jocelyn was sitting on the couch, she heard little footsteps running around to the living room. "I think they're coming.."
"Mommy! Daddy!" Both of the twins yell, running towards Jake, Rayeleigh and Jocelyn.
"Where's baby sister?" Caliey asks, happily. She was so excited to be a big sister.
Jake kneels in front of his two children. "She's right here, Cales." He stands up before he picks up the newborn and sits beside Jocelyn. "Come on and sit you two." Jocelyn tells her two year old twins.
When Carter and Caliey are seated comfortably on the couch, Carter frowns. "It's a girl?" He asks his mother, who nods her head. "Yes, baby. That's your baby sister."
The young boy nods his head. "Okay, Momma." He looks at his mother. "She was in your tummy?" He asks.
Jocelyn nods her head. "Yes, baby. She was in my belly, now she's out of my tummy."
"Oh..." Carter nods his head, not really understanding, but he decides not to keep asking questions.
After an hour of family meeting the new baby, they headed back to their homes to let Jocelyn and the baby get some rest. Rayeleigh hugs Jake and leans up and kisses him. "I'll see you soon, okay? Have Jocelyn call me if she needs anything, and you do the same, alright?"
Jake nods and kisses her back. "I will. Thanks, babe." He rubs her belly. "Be good to Mommy, okay, sweet girl?"
The baby kicks his hand and Jake smiles. "She kicked my hand."
Rayeleigh smiles. "She loves you." She adds before saying goodbye to him and shuts the door behind her.
Jocelyn's Bedroom
Meanwhile Jake was saying bye to Rayeleigh, Jocelyn was upstairs in her bedroom with Charley asleep in her arms. She was feeling every emotion at this moment because Charley is her rainbow baby. Jocelyn knew she was feeling everything from love, sad, hurt and happy.
She had tears coming into her eyes. "I love you so much, Charlotte. Thank you for coming into my life." She whispered to her newborn daughter.
As Jocelyn was holding her daughter, Jake walks over to the open door and knocks on the door, making Jocelyn look up at him. She sighs softly, not wanting to see him right now, but she has no choice because Charlotte isn't just her daughter, she's also Jake's daughter.
"Hi. Can I come in?" Jake asks her. Knowing, he should be here, she nods her head. "Yeah. Come in." Jocelyn says, holding their sleeping daughter.
"How are you feeling?" He asks her as he sits next to her on the bed.
"Sore. Really sore." Jocelyn sighs. "But, other than feeling sore, I'm okay. Ask me in a week. I'll probably tell you that I'm exhausted..."
"Okay." Jake says. He takes a breath before continuing. "I wanted to talk to you." He sighs.
Jocelyn breathes deeply as she looks at him. "What?" She asks, just deciding to listen to him. "Tell me something that is about our kids, Jake. If it has nothing to do with our children, I-" She was cut off by Jake shushing her.
"Jocelyn, I was going to say that you're right. I do love you, and I'll always love you because you are Carter, Caliey and Charlotte's mother. You are right with you being happy with someone that's not me. You aren't happy and I don't want to hurt you and keep you from being happy. If you're happy with Preston, I'll be happy for you..." He gives her a small smile.
Jocelyn smiles back at him. "Thank you for listening to me, Jake. I just want you and Rae to be happy as well, with her baby." She gave him a smile again. "She may be having your baby or Josh's. Whether she is carrying yours or your brother's, you are there for her. You deserve all of the happiness."
"Thank you, Jocelyn." Jake smiles. "You and I need to focus on being the best parents our kids can ask for. I know that's going to be a pain the ass with us having to spilt up time with the kids. I want us to show them that we can co parent with no issues, if possible."
Jocelyn nods as she agrees. "I agree."
After a good talk, Jocelyn layed the baby down in her bassinet. "Are you staying the night?" Jocelyn asks as she carefully placed Charley down. Jake nods his head. "If you want me to, yeah, I can."
Jocelyn nodded her head. "Alright."
Jake looks down at Charley. "Can I hold her?" He asks.
She nods her head. "Of course." She says, smiling. She hands their daughter to him. "I think she'll have your eyes."
"You think so?" He asks, and she nods her head. "Yeah, I think so."
"I hope so. Caliey has my eyes." Jake adds. "Are you nervous that you are a mom of three already?" He asks.
"I mean, yeah, I am. I just hope I can give all three of them equal love and raise them the way I can. Although, I feel like people will give me looks that I shouldn't be a mother of three at seventeen." Jocelyn says, shaking her head.
"You will be the best mom you can be, Jocelyn. Don't let anyone think you shouldn't be a mom now." Jake looks at Charley. "She may not have been planned, but I'm happy to have her."
