Whitehall Palace. 2 weeks ago.

As the time progressed, the 2 it couples of English court cemented their respective relationships. However, Anthony and Catherine were forced to hide in the shadows. Ethan and Mary however, basked in the attention of everyone. It irked both the Queen and the Duke of Springfield to no end. Despite what he knew of Mary's future, he tried to be happy for his brother; but he could not. For all his taunting of Anthony being the horn dog, it was Ethan who was thinking with the wrong head in this instance. Besides, Lord Springfield had his own romantic queery.

The ulcers on Henry's leg were getting the better of him and as a result, his sex drive had decreased considerably. Anthony and Catherine were taking full advantage of the opportunity and we're meeting more frequently with aid from an unexpected ally: Jane Boleyn, otherwise known as Lady Rochfort. Anthony knew from Ethan's studies that the widow of George Boleyn had been instrumental in securing times and places for Catherine Howard to meet with Thomas Culpepper. Since Culpepper was of no interest to the Queen, fate had seemingly dictated that the elder Barker brother take his place. For example, one day Anthony was in his quarters, having a cup of wine by himself when he heard a knock at the door. The Duke opened it to find Lady Rochfort standing there.

"Your Grace." She said as she curtsied and he bowed his head.

"Lady Rochfort, to what do I owe this pleasure?" Anthony inquired.

"Her majesty requests your company in her chambers presently." Jane replied with a small smile.

"I am at her majesty's service." Anthony declared as he followed the dowager Boleyn through the palace until they reached Catherine's chambers. There he saw his Cathy in a fine blue gown, surrounded by her ladies in waiting.

"Your majesty, his Grace, the Duke of Springfield." Lady Rochfort announced as Anthony walked into the room. He saw that the ladies had been dancing along to music played by some minstrels in the room.

"Your majesty, good ladies." Anthony said as he bowed his head.

"Your Grace." Catherine replied as she curtsied to him.

"I pray that you are entertaining yourselves." Anthony said as he moved towards the women.

"We are indeed, your Grace!" Catherine giggled as she twirled around for his benefit.

"This reminds me of when I used to be in a band back home." Anthony remarked as Catherine lit up.

"You played with minstrels?" The Queen inquired as her curiosity was clearly piqued.

"Yes…in my school days. We weren't that bad if I do say so myself." The Duke replied.

"Which instrument did you play?" Joan Bulmer, one of Catherine's Ladies in waiting inquired.

"I sang, actually." Anthony confessed as Queen Catherine's eyes lit up.

"Milord Springfield, you must sing for us!" She exclaimed as the other ladies encouraged him to do so.

"Oh all right, here's a song that's good to dance to." He replied as he went over to the minstrels and hummed a few notes for them to play on their instruments. Once he was sure they had it, he motioned for them to play as he brought the ladies together to dance as he sang.

I've just seen a face, I can't forget the time or place that we just met
She's just the girl for me And I want all the world to see that we've met. Mhmm-mmm-mmm.

As he sang, he swept up Lady Rochfort and twirled her around to her pleasure.

Had it been another day, I might have looked the other way
And I'd have never been aware, But as it is I'll dream of her tonight. Di-di-di-di-di-di

Falling, yes I'm falling And she keeps calling Me back again.

Lord Springfield then went over to Joan Bulmer and shared a dance with her.

I have never known the like of this, I've been alone and I have Missed things and kept out of sight
For other girls were never quite like this. Mhm-mmm, di-di-di.

Falling, yes I'm falling And she keeps calling Me back again

Falling, yes I'm falling And she keeps calling Me back again

Finally, Anthony took Catherine in his arms and danced with her in a storm of passion.

I've just seen a face, I can't forget the time or place that we just met
She's just the girl for me And I want all the world to see that we've met

Falling, yes I'm falling And she keeps calling Me back again

Falling, yes I'm falling And she keeps calling Me back again.

As the minstrels finished the song, Catherine was overcome by desire and kissed Anthony deeply upon the lips. Anthony was surprised but returned the kiss as her ladies simply watched in awe and amazement.
