(Mantle.)
Ruddy ducked behind cover as one of the White Fang soldiers fired at him. He drew Fusillade and shot. He watched one of the White Fang soldiers collapse as Penny dealt with a Bullhead.
It took little more than a single slice to separate one of the wing units of the craft. It slid down the street. Ruddy watched the other two members of the group board the Bullhead.
Ruddy rushed ahead and leapt off a parked car at the craft. It tilted as the weight of the cyborg caused it to list. He watched one of the White Fang stamps on his hand.
If it was a normal human? It would have hurt and Ruddy would have fell from the craft and been hurt horridly harmed.
Instead since Ruddy wore high tech armor? Had his aura unlocked, and had cybernetics inside of his arms and had his legs replaced with cybernetics? He barely felt it. Ruddy shifted his aim and fired.
The heavy slug bounced around the hull, shattering the controls as Ruddy felt from the craft. Ruddy hummed and let go of the out of control craft.
Penny flew up and caught her friend as the Bullhead spiraled out and into the tundra. Ruddy sighed and hummed.
"Do you want to talk about the… Incident?" Ruddy asked as Penny lowered them to the top of a building. Part of him was glad a robbery ended up happening.
Part of him was disgusted at this. Ruddy holstered his weapon as the duo watched an Atlesian prison truck rode up to them.
"I don't think it's important." Penny responded which caused Ruddy to sigh. He turned to his fellow cyborg.
"It is… You heard what I said." Ruddy stated and hummed as Penny nodded. "You know I don't regret anything I said. People act like they care about Solitas, but it just feels like another power play." Ruddy said and tapped a button on his wrist.
The helmet opened with a hiss as Penny's green eyes met his striking blue ones.
"Ruddy, that wasn't something you had to do." Penny stated and hummed. "Their want to hunt you down as well." Penny added while Ruddy walked to the edge of the building.
"Yeah? And?" Ruddy questioned before crossing his arms. "That's what had to happen, then. I'm your partner and friend, Pen. They'd have to label me as being your partner anyway. I don't regret helping you. You're the reason I'm even alive, Pen." Ruddy added and cracked his fingers.
Ruddy hummed and looked up at the snow which fell upon the city. The robbery had ended up taking his attention off the awkward tension between him and Penny.
"Wait… Snow?" Ruddy questioned as he looked up into the sky with shock painting his face.
Ruddy didn't know much about Mantle, but he did know for a fact that snow was not a good thing inside the city. Not once was it a charitable thing.
"Why is it snowing?" Ruddy questioned and sealed his helmet. Penny looked up at the snow as well.
Both turned to each other, they needed to find out why it was snowing. If it got too cold in Mantle? People would end up frozen to death, a horrible death that nobody wanted.
"We should return to my father's lab." Penny put in as Ruddy sealed his helmet. He nodded and walked to Penny as she grabbed his hands.
Penny fired up her jets and flew into the sky towards Pietro's lab. Ruddy wondered what would happen to fix this though.
"Why is it snowing in Mantle?" Ruddy questioned and blinked. He couldn't decide what would end up happen next.
Penny was silent, her mind racing through what could have happened. This was something that caught them off guard. Her father also didn't have a hand in creating the full Atlas network. That made it much harder to deal with this.
"Hmm…" Penny hummed and turned to the sky.
Ruddy looked up at the sky to see wind whipping around them. The snow cut at his helmeted face. He couldn't end up fathom what had happened to the heating grid. If someone had taken it off line? They had sentenced the city to a slow, cold death until it was fixed. That? Combined with the civil unrest and constant Grimm attacks?
Mantle would be eaten alive within a week if not sooner. Ruddy wondered if someone had decided to pressure the leaders of Solitas into changing their minds. But it if was political in nature? That still put hundreds of lives in danger still.
Ruddy looked at Penny who shivered slightly in the wind while they continued back on their way back.
"Do you know who would have done this?" Ruddy questioned Penny who only shook her head and hummed. Both were interested in what caused the sudden change of weather.
And both had thoughts of their talk before then.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that I've seen Amity and know about the fight with Penny and Cinder. That will be in the story. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will set up next episode. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
