Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Cybernetic Couple. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth do.

(Mantle.)

"This snow is going to ruin the entire kingdom." Ruddy stated as Penny looked at the snow falling upon it.

The snow would freeze the kingdom to death. The people without an aura would have an hour or so. The people with an aura? Perhaps a day or so at most.

"This is all my fault." Penny put in which made Ruddy turn to her with a frown.

"Why?" Ruddy questioned as he crossed his arms. "None of us are in control of the weather control relays. There's nothing we could do, nothing at all." Ruddy stated and looked at Dr. Pietro.

The man was busy looking between Ruddy and Penny, it was like he was imagining what would happen next. Still, he could only wonder what would become of things to come.

"We need to need to turn the power back on." Ruddy said and ground his fist into his other hand.

"We won't get the chance to." Penny responded which made Ruddy hum and blink. "They won't let us." Penny pointed out while she looked at the screen.

"Those people aren't going to hurt you." Ruddy stated while he looked at the monitor. "I'm not going to let them." Ruddy added only for Penny to elbow him in the stomach.

"People don't care about me out there!" Penny yelled and put her head in her hands. "They won't care if I save them… Their only care if I don't protect them, they only care what they want to think of me." Penny said as Ruddy frowned.

"You know that's not true at all." Ruddy put in and sighed. "If you give up now? Then you're be letting Salem win. This is what you want them to think." Ruddy stated which made Penny open her mouth.

"And if I go out there now?" Penny questioned while she looked at the monitors. "They're be hunting us down… I don't need you protecting me from them, Ruddy. I need to protect them from Salem… And she's made it clear I can't even do that right." Penny said while Ruddy frowned.

Ruddy didn't know what to say. He knew Penny wasn't the monster Salem wanted to make her. But she had a point, if she hadn't been framed? They'd be able to operate more freely.

"Penny…" Ruddy started to say only for the cyborg to fly up and out of the room.

Ruddy turned towards the door where Penny was. He sighed and crossed his arms.

"Why does she always act like she's so useless?" Ruddy questioned and rubbed at his temples. "She's not. She's stronger than me, she's faster, if it wasn't for her? I'd be a corpse in some forgotten back alley. I wouldn't even be here to be talking about this." Ruddy muttered which got a hum from Pietro.

"Do you know what happened at Vale?" Pietro questioned while the doctor looked at the cyborg. "She's been through a lot worse than this, and I'm starting to worry this is just going to keep stacking up over and over." Pietro put in as Ruddy clicked his fingers together in anger.

Ruddy looked to Pietro. The doctor looked at him interested and was curious what the cyborg wanted.

"I know she got hurt badly." Ruddy stated before he pulled out his gun and looked over it. "But she's bounced back from it. That didn't stop Penny back then, and it shouldn't stop it from getting to her now." Ruddy said and sighed which made Pietro hum.

"I envy your optimism, Ruddy." Pietro stated as Ruddy brushed off his arms. "I'm going to guess your…" Pietro started to say before turning to see Ruddy was already out of the room.

"If he hurts her?" Pietro questioned and blinked. "I have a feeling he's more scared of her then me." Pietro stated as he turned back to the monitors behind him.

(With Ruddy and Penny)

"Penny!" Ruddy yelled which caused Penny to turn to look at him. "Where are you going? We got to turn the power back on." Ruddy said as he slowly walked up to his fellow cyborg.

Penny wanted to say something as Ruddy walked up to her and sighed.

"They're not going to accept us unless we show them." Ruddy stated, his eyes nailed to the ground. "If we let them think we're monsters? Then they win. We cant let them divide us…" Ruddy said and walked to get his armor.

Penny walked over her shoulder. Ruddy looked at her for a second before he sighed and continued walking forward.

He could only hope that Penny joined him out in the field. He'd be nothing if he couldn't end up trying to fix the power.

Ruddy wouldn't allow them to demonize the duo. They weren't, he was going to protect them.

"Even if they hate us? I'm not going to just roll over and die." Ruddy said and cracked his fingers. "The more damage we undo? The more they know we're on their side. I'd rather that then live like a monster being unable to walk around on the street." Ruddy muttered to himself before wiping off his chin.

He could feel his cybernetics click and clack against the floor as he walked. Ruddy wondered if he would ever end up being used to being a cyborg.

Ruddy doubted it, part of his body was no longer normal. He was a cyborg, a fusion of flesh and machinery that was no longer one or the other.

"Ugh, let's just hope there's no Grimm out there." Ruddy stated and opened the door to his room. "If there is? Then we kill them, fix the systems and get things back to normal. "Hmm..." Ruddy said and opened the tube which had his armor in it.

Ruddy placed the helmet on his head before clicking the start on switch. His armor slowly started to start up. Ruddy slowly started to don the rest of the armor which was continuing to adhere to his armor.

"This is going to be a long day, isn't it?" Ruddy questioned before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.

The armor folded down and over his head as Ruddy looked around the room. He started to slowly put the rest of the armor on slowly.

Ruddy looked at his scroll and slowly attached it to his belt before he looked in the mirror.

"Oy..." Ruddy muttered before sighing and cracked his arms. He walked out of the room towards the exit.

This was not going to be a fun day. Ruddy knew that for sure. It was going to be quite an adventure.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be longer as it's a fight scene and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
