Penny threw a punch only to be thrown through the wall. Penny slid back before firing her thrusters, stopping her.

Cinder grinned, Penny sent 2 swords from Floating Array only for them to be deflected by Cinder.

"What's the matter, afraid of last time?" Cinder sneered only to be tossed backwards from a trio of blueish Nevermores.

Penny felt her hands shake. She had just been discussing things with Winter when they found all the AK-200s smashed to pieces.

Penny watched Cinder push Winter's blade away from her and turn to look at her only for her to fire another sword. Winter was able to kick Cinder back only to be thrown across the room by a slight gust.

Cinder grinned before Penny fired a blast which took her attention from Winter. Cinder blocked another shot from Penny's swords as the cyborg floated up. She tossed another 2 swords before firing blasts from them as Cinder deflected them.

Penny blinked before Winter flipped to her feet, Cinder growled and rushed forward at them. Cinder fired jets from her palms and feet as she slammed into the duo.

The trio crashed through the wall. Penny felt stone and plaster shatter while she hissed in pain. Cinder flung her arm out as Winter went to slash her.

Penny grunted and then fired her jets which spun the duo around. Cinder tossed Penny to the side before a pain shot through her other arm. Winter stabbed one of her blades into Cinder's arm.

Penny fired her thrusters as Winter dropped through the air. Penny raced towards her only for Cinder to screech and form something out of her hands.

Penny noticed the object out of the corner of her eyes and instinctively brought up her hands to catch it. She was pushed back, a stone sword in her hands as she glared at Cinder. Cinder grinned before the blade detonated.

Penny screamed as the blade sent her spiraling back as Penny's aura sparkled green.

"I'm not going to let some worthless toy stop me!" Cinder yelled before something knocked her to the side.

Penny looked down to see a Manticore cloaked in ethereal blue light as she looked. Cinder turned to be greeted by Winter sitting atop the monster.

Cinder turned and charged at Penny as the Manticore summon fired another fireball she dodged. Cinder extended a sword to skewer Penny. Penny brought up her swords to block the hit.

That was before a thundering roar of noise cut them off. Cinder was blown backwards as her Aura glittered orange.

"Ruddy?" Penny questioned and looked up to the massive hole in the building.

Ruddy stood in the gaping hole. He ejected a bullet out of his smoking gun and looked at Penny.

"STAY. AWAY. FROM. MY. PARTNER… B*TCH." Ruddy hissed as Cinder growled and raised her hand to blast Ruddy.

This was before Winter slammed into her, knocking her out of the way. Ruddy cursed and popped the chamber of his weapon open. He picked an ice bullet from his hip and popped the bullet into the revolver.

Ruddy could only sigh and try and find a good angle to fire at Cinder again.

"What the hell did you get yourself into, Pen?" Ruddy questioned and moved to get a better shot at Cinder.

(With Penny)

Penny sliced Cinder as she flew back. The Fall maiden screeched as she went to slash her only for Winter to slam into her.

Penny couldn't help but question how Ruddy had gotten to here…. He had come for her, he had to have come back to her…. But Penny could feel her aura was below half.

If Ruddy engaged Cinder in battle? She'd kill him…. And Penny wouldn't allow Cinder to kill one of her friends.

She was cut off by Cinder dodging another strike which cut through the summon, she followed it up with another fireball which shattered Winter's Aura which shattered in a burst of blue. She left the woman to fall to her death and blasted up into the hole.

Penny went to fire her weapon, only managing a single shot before going to grab Winter.

(With Ruddy)

Ruddy cursed and hummed before looking over his shoulder through the hole. Ruddy watched an explosion fill the air which rocked the building. Ruddy covered his eyes and then watched Cinder land in front of him. Ruddy aimed Fusillade at Cinder who only smirked.

"Please don't tell me your that stupid..." Cinder put in as Ruddy rolled his eyes.

"I should ask the same thing for the person who hurt my partner." Ruddy said and continued to aim the weapon at the Fall Maiden.

Cinder rolled her eyes and lunged forward only for Ruddy to roll under her grip. He turned and fired a bullet into her back with made her hiss with pain. Ruddy watched Cinder summon a sword as he cycled the next bullet into the chamber of his weapon.

Cinder sliced at him as Ruddy brought up his armored elbow to block the weapon. He was kicked back as Cinder went to stab at him. Ruddy ducked the stab only for Cinder to drive her knee into his armored face, making his aura shimmer.

Ruddy blocked a punch from the Fallen Maiden as she went to knock him back. Ruddy brought up his knee to block the hit and fired at Cinder's leg.

Cinder went to block the bullet only for ice and frost to creep over her arm. Ruddy backpedaled while reloading his weapon. Ruddy looked at Cinder as the Fall Maiden ignited a flame on her arm, burning the ice to water.

Ruddy was thrown through the wall by Cinder's arm as she turned and walked towards the Winter Maiden's chamber.

Ruddy grunted and slowly climbed to his feet as his aura shimmered. He looked towards Cinder and slowly began to trudge across the room. He heard something faintly thud on the roof.

(With Penny)

Penny landed on the roof as she stomped towards the edge of the roof.

"I didn't expect reinforcements to arrive." Winter said and looked down at the hole as Penny frowned.

"That's Ruddy, she's going to kill him." Penny stated as she started to walk towards the edge of the roof.

She heard something shake before something cut them off. A massive beam of brilliant blue light smashed through the roof and reached up into the side. Penny brought up her arms as debris and snow flew at her.

"What is that?" Penny questioned while blinking as her chilled breath hit the air.

"That… Is the power of a fully realized Maiden." Winter pointed out.

(With Ruddy)

Ruddy shielded his eyes as the frozen air rushed at him. He grunted as his armor had frost and snow cover it. He could see a woman in a hospital gown who had blue flames appearing from her eyes which had sent Cinder flying as she was forced to take cover.

"What the hell did you do?!" Ruddy yelled which was lost in the whipping winds. He could feel the cold through his armor and armor.

Ruddy wondered what was happening as he slowly trudged forward into the storm. He could barely feel his limbs as he walked through the storm.

Ruddy wondered what the woman was. Her power was more then anything he had seen before. It was like a wave washing over him.

"Ruddy!" Penny yelled. Ruddy looked for her as his visor glitched.

Ruddy tried to take another step before realizing he couldn't feel his legs. Ice and frost covered his body slowly but surely.

Ruddy became frozen into a statue.

(With Penny)

Penny slowly trudged through the storm. She felt frost spread over her leg as she fired her thrusters, freeing her foot and allowing her to walk through the ice and snow.

She spotted a woman with flaming eyes who floated in the middle of the storm. Penny gently rested a hand on her leg, causing the woman to look down at her.

"Are you ok?" Penny questioned which caused the flames in the woman's eyes to die out.

"I had a duty to do. I was supposed to protect the power of the Winter Maiden." The woman stated which caused Penny to blink. "I'm worried I lost track of time… You can tell James I'm ready now." The woman stated which caused Penny to blink.

"Ma'am, if you did that…." Penny started to say as she looked around for Ruddy in the frozen room.

"I'll be gone…" The woman said with a small nod.

She could see dozens of inches of frost and snow which covered the room. Everything was iced over and frozen. It looked like a disaster had damaged everything.

"Are you the one?" The woman questioned which caused Penny to frozen.

"I…" Penny started to say before a cracking noise drew her attention. She looked across the room to see a being captured in the hold of winter.

"Ruddy!" Penny yelled before a burst of flames blasted through the room. Cinder exploded out of a pile of snow and ice.

"SHE'S MINE!" Cinder yelled before reaching her shadow arm to send it at Penny.

Penny went to summon her weapons before a shriek of pain which caused her to turn to see that Winter had cut through the extended limb.

Winter looked at Cinder with a glare which could freeze a Megoliath in its tracks. Cinder screeched as her arm slowly grew from the writhing tendril of black gunk on the edge of her shoulder.

Cinder growled and launched a glass like sword at Winter who deflected it into the wall. She launched several more in the forms of knives and swords. Winter twisted or deflected the swords.

Cinder growled and grabbed a blade before slashing Winter across the arm, ripping part of her shirt. Penny went to do something before she felt something pulse in her hands.

She turned to see aura running from the woman to her. Penny couldn't say anything or help her friend. Penny heard more cracks as the ice statue slowly shook. Winter tried to slash Cinder only to feel another cut across her legs and another slice severed her hairpin.

Winter was thrown to the ground with a black eye as she slammed into the ground. Cinder advanced on the wounded specialist before a bullet shook her Aura once more.

She turned to see that Ruddy had emerged from his shell of ice. He aimed his revolver at Cinder.

Cinder growled as Ruddy pulled one of his legs free from the frost. He fired another bullet which caused Cinder to pause.

Cinder growled and lanced out with her shadow hand, seizing Ruddy by the throat. She threw him into the icy wall. Ruddy grunted in pain as he slowly climbed to his legs. He faced Cinder as he growled and glared at her.

Cinder rushed Ruddy who fired another bullet only for it to be deflected easily. Cinder grinned and brought her sword up. Ruddy felt his aura shatter in a burst of greyish blue. Cinder smashed her foot into his armored chest, sending him tumble across the floor. His weapon slid away from him.

"RUDDY!" Penny screamed as snowflakes billowed around her. Greenish flames emerged from her eyes.

Cinder turned to the woman with pure anger and rage at being delayed from her goal.

"Winter!" A voice yelled which made Cinder look to the observation room where Weiss and Ruby sat.

Cinder gasped upon seeing Ruby and brought up fireballs in the palms in her hands. Cinder watched Weiss gasp before a glint of light from Ruby's eyes which caused Cinder to gasp. A massive blast of white light washed over the room.

Cinder burned through the roof and fled; her objective stolen from her. Ruby dropped to her knees as Penny rushed over to Ruddy. He grasped in pain and slowly tried to pull himself to his knees only to collapse.

"What did you do?" Winter questioned as Penny cradled Ruddy in her arms.

Penny looked at Fria and then her hands. The woman didn't move, the life from her body was gone.

"Are you ok?" Ruby questioned only to see Penny holding Ruddy in her arms.

"She's gone… And their hurt… This is my fault." Penny stated as Winter cleared her throat.

"No… She's part of you." Winter stated which caused all the eyes to turn to look at her.

"I suggest you come with me… General Ironwood would want to see you." Winter said which caused the group to look at her.

"What about Mantle?" Ruby questioned and got nothing from Winter. "We cant abandon it." Ruby said which caused Winter to hum.

"Go… I'll talk to the General." Winter said as she brought her hand to her hand.

"Pen…" Ruddy said which caused Penny to look at the wounded cyborg. "Who was that… And what were you doing here?" Ruddy questioned as he brought a hand to his helmet.

"Don't say anything…" Penny said before a Manta emerged at the hole.

The group slowly trudged over to the hole. Penny helped Ruddy, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. Ruddy grunted as his eyes slowly dropped shut.

He slumped forward in Penny's arms.

Author notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that I wanted to make this chapter much longer… But since I'm going to make the Cinder, Neo, and Emerald vs Maria, Penny, and Ruddy fight much longer and less rushed. I'm not going to handle the rift like the show did. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will be 1500 words showing Ruddy recovering and beginning 'Divide' along with showing Ruddy and Penny's relationship blossoming. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
