Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Cybernetic Couple. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth do.
(Atlas.)
Tyrian gave Ruddy more concern than Cinder. Tyrian had no qualms about trying to kill them. It was one reason he was ok with simply killing the man. That? And his sheer sadism made him a threat for the entire city at the end of the day.
"Doctor?" Ruddy questioned as he checked the creation of his other gun. "How long until we might be ok for that… Thing?" Ruddy asked as he spun his good gun around on his hand.
He was well are they had to be silent on certain issues. The longer it took for them to be ready, however? The less safe Ruddy felt, they'd never win unless a deceive move was made and he was WELL aware of that. He was far more curious at the end of the day when it came down to it.
"I'm not sure what to believe, Ruddy." Pietro said as Ruddy hummed and holstered his weapon. "I do know that you've taken a big step." Pietro said which made Ruddy sigh.
He was well aware of what that meant. Ruddy fell silent after a moment. He was uneager to talk about his feelings towards Penny considering how their last talk had gone. It wasn't like he wanted to talk about how his opinion had been.
'Why does everyone seem to care what's going to happen to my love life? I don't even know much about her outside of now.' Ruddy thought while cracking his fingers.
He was going to hope someone else was on their mind soon enough. This was currently making him question just what the plan was if things were not focused on certain things like this… Then again? If they were concerned enough to not focus upon the rest of Atlas? That was something he found rather reassuring at the end of the day. Still? He was rather concerned what Penny was doing if he was still here.
Maybe Pietro had figured what his faithful servant and friend was doing since he turned to focus on Penny at the moment. His daughter had been talking to General Ironwood, eager to stop this assault on Mantle and everything she cared about.
"How had are things, doctor?" Ruddy asked, an eyebrow raised in concern. "I haven't seen Tyrian before and I don't know how bad things will get before they turn around." Ruddy said while he crossed his arms, knowing something had to give, one thing had to fall.
He just didn't know what it was. Ruddy was simply a soldier and huntsmen at the end of the day. He couldn't hope to focus on things he didn't really understand. His lack of stratagem was something that he was ok with. One would be forgiven for noticing his lack of procedure considering Ruddy hasn't expected to even survive this long enough to be brought back.
"I'm going to talk to Penny, doctor." Ruddy said while setting the parts for his weapon on the counter. "The general has a mission for us and I can't let him down. I told him and Penny I'd be ready if they need us for something." Ruddy said as he shook his head, walking away a moment later.
Pietro could only watch the cyborg who was too busy thinking about the future. Pietro envied someone who had their mind made up to that degree. They didn't have to worry about past mistakes…. But Pietro? He was still making up for things.
"Where would he have been if it wasn't for now?" Pietro asked before he turned to look at a photo on the wall.
He looked at the doctor on it. The man he used to be, and the man his friend had been before everything was changed. The world was not the one he remembered so well. There was plenty of things he couldn't focus on at the moment.
"I need to think about stuff at the second." Ruddy stated, pausing to look around, he sighed and shook his head before vanishing into the depths of the building.
Still? There had to be work to do at the moment, something had to be taken before this was done or else? Ruddy had a feeling there wouldn't be much of a city left to save when it came down to it. Ruddy looked over his shoulder at the doctor as he began to descend into the rest of the store. This place was going to point out when it came down to it.
Ruddy was going to be focusing on the duty that things were done. The longer this went onwards? He shook his head; this pain was starting to stick in while he thought about when it came inwards while he thought about it.
Ruddy brought a hand to his cybernetic temples, unsure how this would play out at the end of the day. It hurt just to think about it the more he dwelled on it.
