Next Day/Lucy Pov

Beep Beep Be-

"Ughmm" I groaned, sitting up in my bed, stretching satisfyed when I heard a series of pops and cracks. Swinging my feet to the cool floor of my room, I slowly made my way to the bathroom. I sat on the edge of the tub glaring at the steaming water as it filled. I hadn't gotten barely any sleep last night, just like every other night for the past month. Not to mention how my mind would fill with seemingly endless scenarios starring me and a certain dense doofus. Or how my body seemed to have a mind of it's own getting all hot and bothered with the mere thought of said person. And it was all HIS fault.

Natsu. Natsu fucking Dragneel.

Oh how I wanted to Lucy kick his ass across all of Fiore! He'd tortured me for years with that goofy grin and toned body of his. And how he'd risk his life saving me, yet never once treated me like I was made of glass. It was one of the things I loved about the guy, but he was just so damn dense! It pissed me off if I was being honest. I couldn't recall the amount of times I tried to catch his attention. And that's excluding the times he saw me naked. He saw all the goodies I had to offer and didn't even blink twice about it. That did wonders for my confidence, believe me. Rolling my eyes at my own poor attempt at humor. I turned off the water and took off my nightie. Slipping into the scorching water, a heavy breath left my lungs. Heat. If anything could calm my body it was heat. Funny how the exact same thing could make my body go into overdrive, and the boy I fell for wielded an extreme amount of it.

About an hour later I emerged from the tub, wrapping my pink fluffy towel around me and prancing over to my sink. I did my morning routine which mostly consisted of brushing my teeth, washing my face, and brushing my hair. Walking out the bathroom to my closet, I dressed in my usual attire. Grabbing a ribbon from my desk I quickly tied a portion on my hair up. I slid on my boots and grabbed my keys, smacking on some cherry chapstick while walking out my apartment. I summoned Plue to walk with me as I balanced on the edge. "Hey Plue, you think Natsu is ok?" "He's been acting so strange lately, not to mention what he did to gajeel yesterday."

"Pun Punnn" He replied with a shaky smile. "You think so?" "Talking to him would help, maybe it's something I can help him with" I smiled at Plue as he gave a shaky "Pun!"

Seeing the guildhall come into view, I skipped my way up to the doors gently pushing them open and stepping inside making a beeline for the bar. Noticing Mira cleaning a beer glass with a small smile on her face, I greeted her. "Hey Mira, can I have a strawberry milkshake please?" She turned around shimmering white hair swaying with the action as she said with a bright smile, "Goodmorning Lucy, I was just about to it make when you walked in." With that she turned and begun to make my shake. I turned in my stool to take a quick look at who was here. Gajeel and Levy sitting side by side with her reading a book much to big for her small hands to carry let alone to hold up and him chopping on iron while talking to Lily. Jet and Droy arguing over who was a better partner to Levy. Wendy, Carla, and Happy at a table talking to Plue who had wobbled over to the little group when they first arrived at the guild. Elfman and Evergreen bickering like an old married couple with Lisanna giggling at them. Macao and Wakaba being pervs spying on Kinana and Laki gossiping. While Cana was chugging a barrel of wine as Romeo said it wasn't ladylike. Gray was running half naked away from Juvia.

Nab like always was hanging by the mission board with Max and Warren. Meanwhile Vijeteer was posing for Reedus. Laxus and the Thunder Legion were calmly chatting on the second floor with Gildarts. And Master Makarov was sitting at the end of the bar doing paperwork with scowl on his face. Alzack and Bisca cooing over Asuka. Everyone was here except Erza who was currently on a "mission" with Jellal, and Natsu...

I frowned when I noticed the absence of a the giddy slayer, I turned just as Mira was setting my shake on the counter in front of me. "Thanks Mira, where's Natsu though?" "I don't know Lucy, we haven't seen him since the incident yesterday. I was actually hoping he was with you Lucy". "With me?" "Yeah, you and flame brain are practically attacted at the hip" Gray said as he plopped down in the seat next to me. "You're one to talk" I said motioning to water mage hanging off his arm. Smirking to myself as I watched Gray try and fail to pry Juvia off his arm. Taking a sip of the shake in front of me, I moaned as the taste hit my tongue.

After chatting with Mira, Gray, and Juvia and finishing my shake I hopped off the stool waving my goodbyes to my friends before leaving the guildhall. I know Wendy told me yesterday not to worry over Natsu, but I'd seen her face when she said it. It was a huge red flag! So I decided to excuse myself from the guild earlier than usual with the excuse of my novel, so I could head to Natsu's house. When I got there I noticed his front door was slightly cracked open. Taking a quick peek inside I called out his name, only to be met with silence. Taking a deep breath I tiptoed inside, making a beeline for his bedroom. I carefully opened his room to see something that had me sweatdropping. The lazy bum was still sleeping! Turning on my heel about to leave, I paused when I saw him toss and turn. 'He must be having a nightmare' I thought. Releasing a breath I hadn't noticed I was holding, I pulled up a chair next to his hammick, sitting down I took his hand in mine. When he visibly relaxed and his breathing evened, I allowed my head to rest against his hammick. And before I knew it I was drifting off right with him.

Natsu Pov

When I got home after I left the forest clearing I made my way to my roof. I sat there for hours just staring. I watched the clear blue sky transform into a breath taking dark blue with little bright light lining the sky. Stars. They always seemed to sooth my soul, and Lucy's power drew from the stars above. I watched them twinkle and shine, before I stood up and left my roof. Heading for my bathroom I turned on the hot water. After my shower I laid on my hammick and focused on what I was going to say to Lucy. Battling over which words to use and which ones to avoid I settled on simply telling her how I felt then go from there.

Hopping up when my stomach growled, I jogged to the river close by that me and happy would fish at. It was pretty late, but that only added to the appeal. I skidded to a stop when I reached to riverbank, only now noticing I forgot my fishing pole. Sighing and shrugging off my vest I dove into the chilled water. Emurging from the water after about 10 minutes and with 5 fish. I raised my tempature to dry off my pants and body. Walking back to my house, I expected Happy to be home already but when I found no sign of the blue furball I concluded he must've been over at Carla and Wendy's house, the frisky little cat. Going back up to the roof I quickly heated the fish and dug in while enjoying the stars above. Taking a deep breath when I finished eating the scent of heavy Starlight hit my nose reminding me of Lucy yet again.

By the time I got back in my room my clock read 4:02am. Kicking of my pants and vest and redressing in black sweatpants I climbed into my hammick and fumbed over my thoughts til sleep took over me.

"Natsu!" "Lucy?!?" I answered back in a state of panic, her voiced sounded so frightened and I looked around to see where I was. It was a pitch black room and even with my inhanced senses I couldn't make out a thing. Turning around I saw a glimse of light, running at full speed towards it, I stopped when I saw Lucy, my heart dropped. There she was, laying there in a pool of her own blood and not moving, not breathing. I wanted to run to her but my feet wouldn't move. Tears spung from my eyes as I stared at her lifeless form. I was too late... Just as I was about to take my first step towards her, her body started to fade away in a mist of golden light. Sprinting forward I held an outstretched arm towards the last mist of gold that was once the girl I loved. Her name tore from my lips as my heart broke. She was gone... "LUCY!!!"

Bolting upright and nearly falling out of my hammick at the same I failed to notice the soft, small hand linked with mine as I took a series of deep breaths to calm my pounding heart. My chest hurt as I remembered my dream, holding a hand over my heart. "Lucy!" Her name sprang from my lips as I was about to hop off the hammick and make a beeline to her apartment to make sure she was alright. But something stopped me in my tracks, that something being a hand clenched to one of mine. Looking down at the hand and following the arm to see who it belonged to, the scent of strawberries and Starlight let me know who it was before my eyes fell on the head of golden hair that leaning on my hammick. She was sleeping, she looked so peaceful. My heart settled as a smile graced my face and a breath of relief left my body.

But that relief was short lived as my mind blurred. I felt my eyes slit and fangs grow as the voice of my dragon boomed in my head, only saying one thing...

"MINE!"...
