Lucy Pov/Natsu's House

"MINE!"

I was startled awake by a loud voice, cracking my eyes open I took in my surrounding's. Or at least tried to at least. The first thing my eyes landed on however, was Natsu. It was Natsu but he was different, looked different, more animalistic. Almost like the day in the guild but, worst. His usually dark green eyes had turned pitch black and were slitted, his unnaturally sharp teeth had grown to the length of a wolf's. His nails sharpened to claws. And his tan skin had strange red markings that reminded me of Acnologia, but what had my heart damn near giving out was the expression he was giving me. He was staring at me which a smirk, one that sent red flags shooting up in all directions known to mankind.

Unhooking my hand from his I stood, his eyes tracking my every movement. I took one step back, he took two steps foward. Quickly learning he wasn't planning on letting me put distance in between us, I decided the best course of action was to try and speak to him. "H-hey Natsu, is s-something wrong?" He kept his eyes trained on me, his smirk deepening as he said "Luce, why are you trying to back away from you best friend?" I shivered, 'When did Natsu's voice get so deep' I thought, taking a rather large step back, while putting the chair I was sleeping on in between us. He growled as his eyes narrowed at me. His smirk leaving his face. He took a step forword attempting to get around the chair. Shifting the chair so we stayed apart I kept my gaze locked with his. A scowl met his features as I once again shifted to the chair to prevent his advances. "Lucy." He just said my name but I knew the threat behind it, promising the unimaginable if I defyed him again. At this my temper flared, gone was any fear I previously held, now replaced with only annoyance and irritation. I mean where did this flaming fucker get off on making unspoken threats?!? And to me no less!

Tightening my grip on the chair I shifted it harshly, sending him a scowl of my own. However, whatever sense of anger I felt was dashed, again replaced by fear when a snarl left his lips as he smacked the chair away, the chair smashing to pieces when it made contact with the wall. Spinning on my heels as fast as I could making a beeline for the door, I let out an undignified yelp when his hands snaked around my waist smashing my back against a hard chest. I kicked and bucked against him as I felt him walk backwards toward his room once again. He chuckled as I screamed for him to let me go. Lefting my leg I kicked him in the ankle, which took him by surprise as he dropped me to the floor. I scrambled away before I felt a tight grip on my hair yanking me back. My legs kicking over everything nearby as I struggled to unhook his fingers from my locks. He merely cackled at my futile attempts at freedom, as tears slowly made their way down my face.

He threw me against the wall leaving no time for me to react before his hand made its way around my neck. I looked him in the eye as he gave me a sinister grin. The bastard thought this was funny! He leaned his face close to mine as he whispered in my ear, "You know Luce, you've been a real bad girl lately. Prancing around like that really has got me in a bunch." My face lit up in flames as I felt his hot breath tickle my ear and he pulled back just in time to see it. Laughing loudly, he gripped my neck tighter causing it to be slightly hard to breathe as he said, "Aho! What's this? My, my Luce I never knew you would get all worked up over a simple ear whisper. Makes me wonder what else I can pull from you before I have you begging at my feet." Feeling my face redden tenfold, I dug my nails in his wrist to release his hand from my neck. "Don't." He looked at me with such intensity that it had my heart nearly jumping out of my chest. He leaned towards my neck and took a quick sniff. Dropping me to the floor abruptly, he gripped my hair again before dragging me to his bathroom. When we passed his door frame I gripped both sides with my hands, and held on tight. He stopped and looked back at me. A growl leaving his lips in a command to let go. I only tighten my grip as tears dripped from my chin. He yanked my hair hard causing me to let go, as my hands flew to his fingers which were still tangled in my hair.

He released my hair when he successfully dragged me to the bathroom and before I had a chance to protest he incinerated my clothes only leaving me in my blood red silk bra and matching panties. Having lost my boots in my kicking fest earlier, I scrambled to cover myself. He gripped my wrists and yanked my up as he hissed, "You smell like that sorry bastard Gray". I stilled and raked over my memory to find out what the absolute fuck this lunatic was blabbing on about. Remembering that I spent my time at the guild with Gray, Juvia, and Mira the day before, I paused. 'Was his sudden change in demeanor really caused because I smelt like Gray? He was sitting next to me for fucks sake, what the hell did he expect!' I thought. Right as I was about to voice my thoughts he threw me in the shower turning it on full blast, as he held me down by my wrists and stomach. Gasping for air that wouldn't come as the water spashed on my face, I desparately tried to buck his hands off. Glancing up at Natsu through my watered down vision, his face held no emotion.

Just as my vision started to blur, Natsu was quite literally thrown off me and I was violently yanked out of the tub. I barely registered that I was pressed up against the side of a person. Coughing and catching my breath, I looked up to find Natsu growling at whoever was holding me. Craning my neck to see said person, I was flabbergasted to see Gajeel glaring back at Natsu. Right when I was sure Natsu would lunge for Gajeel, he smirked and straightened up. Gajeel, however kept his glare, and tensed even more.

Natsu Pov

To say I was surprised was the understatment of the century. I mean I never expected Gajeel of all people to come busting in when I was punishing my mate for smelling like that droopy-eyed nudist Gray. So when he practically flung me off Lucy and tugged her out the shower, my temper got the better of me. Til I remembered one tidbit of imformation. Gajeel was mated...With that in mind I smirked and untensed my body.

"Gajeel".

"Salamander". He hissed.

"I must say Gajeel, I never thought you of all people would go prying into the mating season of another slayer." Chuckling to myself when I saw Lucy blanch in his arms. Poor thing must be so damn confused. My amusment however, was short lived when Gajeel snapped back at me saying, "I never thought you'd lose control and harm her this early". I snarled in his direction before responding with venom laced in my voice. "You'd be wise to mind your business boy, or I might have to pay dear ole Levy a visit in the middle of the night." I inwardly smirked a bit when Gajeel growled back viciously. I could hear Lucy's heart running a race at the sheer tension in the air, and I decided to not give my mate a heart attack today. So as best I could manage giving the situation, calmly stated "Hand over Lucy and I'll forget this little incident, what do ya say, hm?". Gajeel seemed to ponder for a second, before firming whatever aggravating resolve he had. Expecting him to simply give me my mate and turn tail, once again the rust bucket bastard surprised me when he entered his iron shadow dragon form, turn into a shadow and whisped away taking Luce right along with him. Roaring as I lunged for the pair only to grasp the air where they were just standing.

Feeling my old self resurfacing, I curled my fists into a ball. I looked at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, and I watched as my eyes returned to green, my teeth shrunk back to fangs, my claws went back to nails, and the markings on my skin dissappear. My head cleared from the fog that held all rational thoughts captive and I blanched.

Why the fuck was my bathroom a mess? Looking around as I walked out my bathroom and into my room I was beyond confused why it looked as if someone had a battle royale in here. Raking over my brain to try and remember something at least, only faint images came to me almost like fragments of a dream. Me noticing Lucy was sleeping next to me, hand in hand. Lucy running away. Me dragging her by her hair. Me damn near drowning her. Gajeel arriving. Then nothing... And my heart sank to the bottom of my stomach. I had lost control and hurt Lucy before I could even speak to her. Dropping to my knees I felt silent tears drip down my face. I needed to fix things while I was still in control. Slowly standing to my feet I made my way to the guild. If anyone could at least have a hope to protect Lucy while I went berserk, it was my guild.

Gajeel Pov

I sat in the guildhall with Levy by my side as my conscience stabbed at me. I saw bunny girl leave the guild the day before with the excuse of her novel, but I knew better she was on her way to salamander's house. And she hadn't returned since. Levy was rocking her leg and glancing at the door every 10 seconds for the doors to open revealing her blonde best friend. When we got home the day before, Levy had demanded that I tell her what was going on with Natsu's weird behavior. And it was hell explaining that since bunny girl was his mate we couldn't interfere or he might relatiate. She teared up when I explained that Lucy had to deal with a slayer who instincts would drive him to exetremes. She proceeded to shout at me to warn her or tell the guild so her best friend wouldn't be harmed.

"How can you just let Lu-Chan deal with him like that?!?! You saw how he reacted today! Gajeel he could seriously hurt her!" She said. And I had to take a deep breath not to shout that there wasn't a damn thing we could do. So to calm my hyper worried mate down I promised I would stop by Natsu's house to chat with him. Snapping back to the present I told Levy to go back to our apartment and lock the doors, when she nodded we stood up and exited the guild. Knowing that I was going to speak to Natsu she told me to be safe and skipped away. Making my way to the flaming punk's property I stopped when I heard screaming. Screaming that sounded exactly like bunny girl's voice. Sprinting full force I burst into his house, following my nose I ran down the hallway to his bedroom. Taking a second to look at the wrecked room, I noted it looked as if someone had a royal rumble here. Without wasting another second, I sniffed the air to locate where they were. I slipped down the shorter hallway that led to his bathroom and pushed open the door.

What I saw had my blood boiling. Natsu was damn near drowning bunny girl with a blank expression on his face, muttering something about his mate smelling like that bastard Gray which Lucy didn't seem to hear since she was too busy trying to gasp for air and buck him off her. Jumping into action I snatched Natsu off her and yanked Lucy out the shower and into the side of me. Glaring at Natsu as he growled at me. Tensing my body when he seemed like he was going to attack, he shocked me when he simply smirked and straightened. Narrowing my eyes at him to try and guess what he was thinking, I kept my arm tight around bunny girl as she coughed and caught her breath.

Smirking he said, "Gajeel". Mirth clear in his voice.

"Salamander." I hissed at him. I mean can you blame me for being so angry? I was a mated slayer so seeing him treat his mate like that pissed me off.

"I must say Gajeel, I never thought you of all people would go prying into the mating season of another slayer." He said chuckling, and at the word mate I felt bunny girl blanch. Here she was in the midst of not only a dangerous slayer but also had no goddamn clue what the was going on. Her best friend just attempted to violently punish her for smelling like Gray and she hadn't an inkling why. All she knew was that Natsu had become a deranged lunatic. And I knew it was going to be a pain explaining the whole thing to her. Turning my attention back to ashe for brains I snapped back at him saying, "I never thought you'd lose control and harm her this early.". With that said his smirk faded and he snarled at me. His deeper voice had lethal venom as he spat at me, "You'd be wise to mind your business boy, or I might have to pay dear ole Levy a visit in the middle of the night." With that threat I growled and tensed, completely ignoring him calling me a boy. Hearing bunny girl's heart pick up in speed I knew I needed to end whatever the fuck this was and leave quickly.

Thats when the pink haired fool spoke again in a clearly forced calm tone. "Hand over Lucy and I'll forget this little incident, what do ya say, hm?" I pondered for a moment, about what Levy would do to me if I left her best friend in the vicious care of Natsu. Knowing she'd skin my ass alive, I firmed my resolve and I looked at the irritating slayer before promptly switching into my iron shadow dragon form, dissolving into a shadow and taking off. Not before hearing Natsu roar and lunge for me.

Reforming in my apartment where I knew Levy was. I set bunny girl down, who was eerily quite. Only now noticing she was half naked, Levy scampered up to Lucy throwing a towel over her shouting "Lu-Chan!". I watched as Levy took her to our bathroom, before plopping myself down and diving head first into my thoughts. This wouldn't go over well with Natsu now that I've intervened on his season. Letting out a heavy breath I figure what's done was done. Deciding to speak with Gramps when Levy and bunny girl were done, I relaxed in my couch waiting.

I Took Me Foreverrr To Decide Which Direction I Wanted To Go With For This Chapter, And I'm Pretty Happy With The Way It Turned Out. I Made It This Way So The Story Wouldn't End As Soon.
