Gajeel Pov

Once bunny-girl and shrimp were all done we made are way to the guildhall. Kicking the doors open I took in all of the normal chaos. Brawls, arguments, alcohol, tables and chairs being thrown about and blasted to bits. It was home. Glancing back at bunny-girl and shrimp I could tell the latter was still shaken up. Turning my attention to find the old man, I saw him sitting on the bar counter with a mug of beer in his hand chatting with that matching making devil woman. Stomping my way over to the bar, I took the seat next to him causing him to glance at me dryly. Sensing I had something to say he spoke.

"What is it, my boy." He said turning his gaze to me. Speaking in a serious tone I said, "We gotta keep bunny-girl from Salamander, he's dangerous." That seemed to draw the attention of the entire guild. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned their attention toward the bar. Gramp's eyes widened a bit before his expression turned serious. "What do you mean Gajeel, Natsu would never hurt Lucy." Mira piped in her face showing obvious concern. "Yeah, that pyro may be destructive but he'd never harm a hair on Lucy's head." Gray spoke up his face serious. "Gajeel explain." Gramp commanded his eyes trained on where bunny stood. She'd been quiet threw the whole thing just fidgeting and shifting from one foot to another. Glancing back her she slightly gave a nod and I explained.

"Natsu started his mating season." I said. I was about to continue when a burst of laughter came followed by a series of giggles and chuckles. My eyes narrowed as Gray said, "You mean to tell me you think Natsu is a threat to Lucy just because that idiot went into heat!" Trying to keep my cool I responded, "This isn't a laughing matter frost dick, he already attacked her." And with that Gray stopped laughing as his eyes turned serious glancing from me then to Lucy. The guild seemed to react more quickly than Gray because a series of "What's?!?!" and "When's!?!" broke out. But the loud shouting and questioning of the guild was stopped when Master spoke in a deadly serious tone. "Explain...Now."

Sighing and running my hand along my face I told carefully explained what was happening to Natsu, how since Nastu had inherited Igneel the fire dragon king's magic for slaying his season would be serious, what would happen if he didn't claim Lucy, and what he'd already done to Lucy. Shit I even had to explain what had to be done in order to claim Lucy, much to my and bunny's displeasure. I could see her face contort from confusion to shock to fear to downright blushing mortification throughout the whole explaination.

After I was finished explaining bunny-girl's situation, Master Makarov turned to Lucy his face showing a mixture of emotions and waved for her to follow him. Everyone watched as bunny and Master walked upstairs to his office and heard the telltale sound of his door closing.

When the pair was gone, Gray broke the silence that followed, "Sooo, how do you know so much about this? You did say that it happens when a slayer turns 18, sooo."

"What are ya getting at ya icy fucking bastard?" My eyes narrowed at him as he looked at me suspiciously.

"...You're 19 and Laxus is 21. Who are you guys mated to?" He said slowly, and I gaped.

I was all good and prepared to answer his stupid ass questions with a sarcastic retort but that question had me chocking on my own saliva, while I heard the same chocking sound coming from the second floor. When I finally caught my breath I saw Levy and Mira blushing brightly and avoiding the gazes of our friends. The rest of the guild gawking at the newfound information.

"Fuck..."

Lucy Pov

I listened intently as Gajeel explained the reason behind Natsu's sudden behavior and situation. If I was being completely honest with myself I felt a pang of guilt for causing him such problems, but when I heard Gajeel say I was his mate I was...shocked to say the least. Natsu never even showed any interest towards the female gender. So to find out that I was not only his mate but he was having urges for left me completely speechless.

When he told the guild about what had happened back at Natsu's place I felt Master Makarov's eyes fall and stay on me flashing in a mixture of emotions. Waving at me he signaled for me to follow him. Walking upstairs, he gestured me into his office noting how quite it was on the first floor of the guild. I took a seat at his desk as he hopped up onto his desk and looked at me.

"Lucy, my child." He said with a sad expression. He continued saying, "Gajeel said that Natsu already attacked you, when did it come to this, child." And I had to look down at my hands and focus on breathing to prevent from letting tears slip from the memories of what had happened not even 3 hours ago. Steeling myself I looked up at Master and tell him of the incident at Natsu's house. He just listened intently, never interupting as that sad expression only ever changing to one of shock and regret. By the time I was done Master sighed and reached out to touch my hand in an act of comfort, one I greatly appreciated. After a few more moments of silence he finally spoke again. "I take full responsibility for Natsu's actions. I should have noticed, my child. And because of my lack of attention, you have suffered at the hands of the closest person to you, and for that, my dear, I am sorry."

At his little speech, my eyes widened. What did Master Makarov mean he takes responsibility and how he should have noticed. I thought nobody knew about mating seasons! "Master, I don't understand. You say you take responsibility and that you should've noticed but nobody knew." Master just looked down and sighed, "I may not pry into the personal lives of my children, but that doesn't mean I don't take notice of certain things. Like how about 3 years ago Laxus started acting a bit strange around Mira. Then out of the blue came in the guild happier than happy after being gone for a week. Mira wasn't too far behind. I would catch them sneaking glances at each other, but I kept quite. It was their business. However I did read into it and found it was because his season had started. Since I never actually saw how he really acted without people around I never knew how bad things could get. Which is why I am sorry, from what I have seen Natsu had been acting the same way around you as had Laxus around Mira."

Taking in the in fromation Master told me and adding it to what Gajeel had said earlier, it finally hit that Natsu could really hurt me even kill me if the situation wasn't handled correctly. Sensing my growing nervousness Master spoke up again this time his voice completely serious, "Lucy, I believe we both realize the full extent of danger you're in, so I order you to not stay alone. Be with someone at all times, we will make sure Natsu doesn't hurt you. But I must ask, my child do you love Natsu?" He had a dead serioud expression as his eyes honed in on me waiting for my response.

Blushing but looking him dead in the eye I said, "Yes."
