"I forgive you" "...What!?" Namine couldn't believe what she was hearing after everything she's done to Kairi! She tampered with Sora's memories, she turned the tide of the Keyblade War to Xehanort's favor, Heck she even broke Terra's memories! (However Lingering Will managed to survive for whatever reason) and yet she still has the AUDACITY TO FORGIVE HER!? The heck was going on!?
"Y-You can't just- YOU CAN'T JUST FORGIVE SOMEONE LIKE THAT!" Namine screamed "W-what about everything I've done to you! What about all the PAIN and SUFFERING I put you and your loved ones through! What about the memories I SHATTERED IN TO MILLIONS OF PIECES!? And you just- FORGIVE ME!?" She yelled in frustration an aura of darkness gathering around her body "Yes" Kairi said calmy, unfazed by the raging storm of Darkness that was brewing right before caused by her own Nobody
Taking a step forward with determination she said "Because I know you didn't mean to destroy those memories; you were desperate and in despair begging for affection, you were in a dark place Nami, you're not like the other Norts" As she talked, she kept taking one step after the other getting closer and closer to Namine even as the storm of Darkness started to worsen and become more erratic as did Namine who looked ready to burst both in tears and in rage
"They wanted gain control over Kingdom Hearts and rule over all of the worlds but you wanted to something They would never be able to get... Love, all your life you wanted to be given affection, be shown love, but you never got it and you've always felt cold, the closest thing you've gotten to Love was when you were with Axel, Roxas and Xion but that was taken away from you before you could make more memories. And for that I'm sorry-"
"YOU SHOULD BE!" Namine snapped as the storm raged on "ALL MY LIFE I WANTED TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED, APPRECIATED, PRAISED FOR MY EFFORTS! BEING CARED AND LOVED FOR WHENEVER IF FELT DOWN! BE GIVEN A MUG OF HOT CHOCOLATE WHEN I WAS COLD! BUT NO, I GOT THE SHORT END OF THE STICK MY STORY WAS FILLED WITH TRAGEDY, DISPAIR and HEARTBREAK! WHILE YOU GOT TO HAVE A HAPPY FAIRY TALE STORY!" as she yelled the storm had reached its peak then she had summoned her keyblade "Colors of Memory"
its shaped looked similar to that of Destiny's Embrace except instead of flowers there were paint strokes which made up both the shaft and cross guard of the blade, but the paint strokes of color were heavily saturated almost grayish in tone as if the very color of life and hope had been drained from it from years of torment and suffering (and a lack of emotional affection and interaction)
As Namine dashed forward at blinding speeds and Kairi did something that still baffled her to this day
She dodged the erratic darkness infused slashes of Namine's saturated Keyblade by side stepping out of the way and using Nami's on momentum from the attack against her grabbed her arm then... pulled Namine into a hug
Namine froze for a second in shock confusion on but soon gathered herself then attempted to pull herself out of her embrace but she showed no signs of letting go, Namine tried and tried to escape her tight grasp but as she did she failed to realize she was beginning to tear up
But as soon as she exhausted she could no longer hold back her tears of pent up emotion, she couldn't remember the last time she cried or laughed or showed any emotion at all and as she did Kairi was right holding her close in her comforting embrace
And as she cried Kairi was there holding her "Shhhh...It's okay... your gonna be okay now, everything is gonna be alright" Kairi said as she comforted Namine
"Why..." Namine managed to sniffle out "W-why are you f-forgiving me after all I've done, why are being so... kind" Kairi wiped away a few of her tears, then looked at her with a concerned but sympathetic look in her eyes "Because you've been through so much ever since you came to exist, because I feel guilty and believe I was the one responsible for all your suffering and because..." She closed her eyes took a deep slow breathe "Your my sister that's why..." She gave Namine a look that radiated warmth, love, kindness and well- Light "I forgive you and I want to make a mense with you I don't want you to suffer any more than you already have"
She couldn't take it anymore she burst into tears once more and desperately tackled Kairi into a hug which she glady obliged (thankfully still being able to stand on her feet despite being nearly tackled to the ground) "Kairi... promise me... we'll make it out of here together" Namine tearfully asked in her desperation "I promise Nami... No one will ever hurt you again that I promise" Kairi said in a determined voice
