Chapter 60: Superstorm Hatsume Strikes!
Dylan Riley and the girls were staring over at Mei Hatsume as Itsuka Kendo couldn't believe she was seeing a fellow classmate in front of her.
"Hatsume," Itsuka said in shock.
Dylan then taps the right temple on his glasses and then the glasses scan the girl. Five seconds later, the scan was complete as it was indeed Mei Hatsume.
"It is Mei," Dylan said quietly and then he sees a red glowing "18" on Mei's left upper arm and disappears four seconds later.
"And she has a card inside her," Dylan said.
"Who's Hatsume?" Nami asked Itsuka.
"Mei Hatsume, she's a student at U.A.," Itsuka said.
"The school that you and Kinoko are from," Nami said to Itsuka.
"Yes the same one," Itsuka said.
"She's part of the support class, and let me tell, her inventions can either be useful or cause harm," Dylan said.
"How do you know that?" Beth Vanderwood asked Dylan.
"Itsuka told me about Mei," Dylan said.
"Yeah I told him a little bit about her," Itsuka said as Dylan knew more about Mei than them.
"What's the plan Dylan?" Nami asked Dylan.
"Well my plan is for you and Aqua to go at Mei head on, with Vivi and Beth afterwards, once Mei is weakened, and then-," Dylan said to Nami and then he feels a huge shock going through his body.
"GAH," Dylan screamed as he feels the intense shock and falls onto the ground.
"Oh my god Dylan," Nami said to Dylan in horror.
Dylan then looks to see some sort of dart sticking in his left leg.
"What the hell?" Dylan asked in shock.
Dylan looks to see Mei had out what appears to be a Samsung Galaxy in her right hand and had an empty slot open.
"The Shock Phone, a personal baby I made in this case," Mei said.
"Usually Mei's invention intent to explode or damage," Itsuka said.
"She's not a great inventor?" Aqua asked Itsuka.
"Well she has a lot of heart and doesn't give up on her dreams," Itsuka said as Dylan pulls the dart out of his leg.
"Meanwhile, I feel like Chuck after Jason Voorhees threw him into an electrical box in Friday the 13th Part 3," Dylan said.
Then, Dylan gets covered in a net and then the net ties up as he was trapped in it.
"Oh fuck," Dylan said and then he is then pull forward by a gun that Mei was holding.
"The Capture Gun, my trusted baby," Mei said as Dylan was now a few inches away from Mei.
Mei presses the button as a rope releases from the gun. Meanwhile, Dylan was trying to get out, but the material was dense and strong as hell.
"I can't get out, this net is stronger than it looks," Dylan said as Mei puts away the phone and gun and then she grabs onto the rope attached to the net.
"Time to go flying," Mei said to Dylan and then she spins around as Dylan didn't like this.
"Oh this is bad," Dylan said.
After fifteen spins, Mei launches Dylan a few hundred feet into the air.
"AHHHHHH," Dylan screamed in horror.
"DYLAN," Nefertari Vivi shouted to Dylan in shock.
"Hey I can see the hotel from up here," Dylan said and then he starts to descend screaming along the way.
"You bitch, you'll pay for this," Aqua said angrily to Mei.
"No you won't," Mei said to Aqua with some cockiness in her tone.
"Hatsume, we don't want to hurt you, but we might to get you back to your normal self," Itsuka said to Mei.
"Oh poor old Kendo, your big sister act won't fool me," Mei said to Itsuka.
"Itsuka, stop playing nice, me and Aqua will take care of her," Itsuka said to Nami as she grabs onto the bō staff.
"I'm ready," Aqua said as she uses her water priestess powers to summon water from some hydrants near by.
Aqua then holds two water balls in her hands as she and Nami look towards Mei.
"Okay Aqua, show me that you can't be useless," Nami said to Aqua.
"On it Nami," Aqua said to Nami.
Aqua then throws one of the water balls towards Mei.
Before it could hit her, two poles extends out of the metal backpack she had on and the ball misses Mei.
"What the hell?" Aqua asked in utter shock.
Mei then lands back on the ground as the extenders retract back into the backpack. Then, Nami and Aqua sees that Mei was hovering a few inches off the ground, courtesy of Mei's boots.
"Look at the boots," Nami said to Aqua as she points to the boots.
"She must put something in them for her to hover," Aqua said.
"These boots have special hover soles, so I can glide like a speed skater," Mei said.
"Well your fancy boots, will be no match for us," Nami said to Mei.
"Here eat water ball," Aqua said to Mei as she throws the other water ball at Mei.
Mei then glides out of the way as the other water ball hits a 2010s Chevy Camaro, damaging it quite a bit.
"Damn it," Aqua said angrily.
"So fucking useless," Nami said quietly.
Nami and Aqua rush over to Mei, looking to take out the very quirky inventor.
Aqua then tries to nail punches and kicks to Mei, while Nami swings the bō staff at Mei. Unfortunately, neither Aqua or Nami could land a strike on Mei.
"She seems way more dangerous than I expect," Vivi said.
"This isn't like Mei, she might not be powerful, but usually her inventions are not this well done," Itsuka said.
Eighty seconds later, Mei sees an opportunity as she grabs onto Nami's bō staff during one of Nami's swings.
Mei then swings the staff around as Nami collides into Aqua, knocking them ten feet back and knocking the staff out of Nami's hands.
"Nami," Vivi said to Nami in shock.
Nami and Aqua then get back on their feet as Nami picks up her bō staff.
"Okay Mei, lets see if you can invent your way out of this," Nami said to Mei and then she rushes over to her.
Once she was close to Mei, Nami starts to swing her bō staff at Mei, but Mei was dodging each swing.
After ten swings, Mei manages to grab onto the bō staff.
Mei then pulls Nami forward and nails a knee to Nami's ribs. Mei then let go of the bō staff as Nami was a little bit dazed from the attack.
Nami then recovers from the attack and then nails some vicious kicks to Mei's ribs.
After eight kicks, Nami stops to see that those kicks left no visible damage to Mei.
"What the, those kicks should have damaged you," Nami said to Mei.
Mei then lifts up her jacket to revealed a speciality made metal corset.
"My newest baby, this corset is not only comfortable, but it has got a few surprises," Mei said and then she sees an opportunity to grab the bō staff again.
Mei then pulls Nami close again and then Nami could feel something stabbing in her body. Nami's eyes were wide open as she was gasping a bit.
Nami then pulls herself back as four nickel size wounds were on her stomach as blood was leaking out of her wounds.
"What the hell?" Nami asked in shock as she holds her stomach.
Nami then looks to see four spikes sticking out of the corset.
"I told you I have surprises and this is one of them," Mei said to Nami as Nami drops her bō staff.
Mei then pulls out her Capture Gun and puts another net in it.
Mei then pulls the trigger and the net lands on Nami. Then the net ties up Nami as Nami struggles to get out of it.
"Oh shit, the material is thick as hell," Nami said as Mei releases the rope from the gun.
"You are going to love this," Mei said to Nami.
Then, the top of Mei's backpack opens and then these two huge robotic claws slither out of it.
"Oh my god," Beth said in shock.
"That's new," Itsuka said.
"You like, I created this not so long ago, just in case I need some backup in a fight," Mei said to Nami.
One of the robotic claws grabs onto the rope and hangs Nami ten feet off the ground.
"Now here is the power of the claws," Mei said to Nami.
The claw swings and slams Nami into the driver's side of a early 2000s Ford Focus. The force damages the side of the Focus as Nami was knocked out cold.
"NAMI," Itsuka shouted to Nami in shock.
"Oh god that might have hurt," Vivi said.
Mei then approaches Nami as the claw lets go of the net.
"Okay girl, time to say goodbye to your life," Mei said to an unconscious Nami as she was looking to kill her.
The claws rise up and a sharp object slices into the left claw, leaving a minor scratch on it.
"What?" Mei asked in anger.
Mei then turns around as she sees Vivi with her Peacock Slashers out, swinging them like batons.
"You forget about me Mei," Vivi said to Mei.
"No I haven't and a weakling like you is no match for me," Mei said to Vivi as she slowly approaches her.
Once Mei was a few feet away from Vivi, Vivi starts to swing her Peacock Slashers at the metal claws. The slashers hit the claws, but it didn't do any significant damage, it just left some scratches.
On her fifteenth swing, the right claw grabs onto the slashers as Vivi knew this was going to be bad.
"Oh shit," Vivi said.
The claw then swings Vivi around and Vivi strikes really hard, back first, into the passenger side of a parked delivery van. Vivi screams in pain as she let go of her slashers and falls onto the road.
"Oh god my back," Vivi said in pain as the claw drops the slashers next to Vivi.
"Ha, not so tough huh," Mei said to Vivi as she had an evil smirk on her face.
Before Mei could trap Vivi, about three dozen carrots comes flying towards Mei, courtesy of Beth's magical abilities.
Seeing the carrots in front of her, Mei glides along the ground, trying to avoid the flying vegetables.
Several seconds later, the carrots past Mei as it looked like no carrots struck Mei. But her metal claws were a different story as ten carrot size holes were left in the arms as some sparks were showing, but they were still functional.
"Oh damn it, you ruined my baby," Mei said angrily to Beth.
"Well your baby is destroying my friends, I'm not going to let your invention take out everyone I know and care about," Beth said to Mei.
Beth then sprouts a cob of corn the size of a sword.
"Now, prepare to be cob," Beth said to Mei as she rushes over to Mei with corn cob in hand.
Beth then swings the cob at Mei, but Mei was gliding out of the way, avoiding the strikes.
Thirty seconds later, Beth was still swinging away with her corn as Mei was looking for an opportunity to strike.
Seeing her chance, Mei quickly reloads her Shock Phone, fires it, and the dart hits the cob.
Mei then presses the button on the phone as Beth could feel the cob shaking.
Beth then drops the cob as pieces of the corn turns into popcorn due to the heat from the dart.
"Oh damn," Beth said in shock as she sees Mei with Shock Phone.
"My Shock Phone strikes again," Mei said as she puts the phone away.
Then, Mei uses her metal claws to push them right into Beth.
The claws push Beth into the air and slams her hard into a wall of a brick covered building. The force causes Beth to cough up blood.
"Oh god Beth," Itsuka said quietly and in horror.
The claws then move away as Beth falls from twenty feet in the air and onto the ground. The left claw grabs Beth and throws her as an unconscious Beth lands on Vivi.
"Only two left," Mei said as Aqua holds a water ball the size of a basketball in her right hand.
"You'll pay Mei," Aqua said to Mei as she rushes over to Mei with water ball in hand.
Aqua then throws the water ball at Mei. But Mei glides out of the way and the water ball hits an office building, luckily the damage to it was very minimal.
Mei then yawns a bit as she feels like Aqua wasn't going to be too tough to beat.
Once Aqua was close to Mei, the left claw flicks Aqua away like a bug as Aqua flies thirty feet into the air.
Aqua then strikes her back onto an office building and then she falls down and lands hard on the roof of a Nissan 350z. She then rolls off of it and lands on the ground.
"Oh god," Itsuka said in horror.
Mei then pulls out her Capture Gun and loads it up. She then fires off the gun as she detaches the rope in the process. The net lands on Vivi and Beth and tightens around them, trapping them.
Mei reloads the Capture Gun, fires it off as she disconnect the rope in it in the process. The net lands on Aqua and tightens around her so she couldn't escape.
Mei puts away her Capture Gun and she looks at Itsuka, as she was the only one left standing.
"Okay Kendo, it's just you and me," Mei said to Itsuka as Itsuka gets into a fighting stance.
"And you are no match for me Hatsume, I'm in Class 1-B for a reason," Itsuka said to Mei.
Itsuka then rushes over to Mei as the claws come towards Itsuka. The claws swing towards Itsuka, but Itsuka was dodging the claws like nothing.
Itsuka was close enough to Mei as she starts to swing her fists and legs at her, but Mei was gliding away from each attack.
Forty seconds later, Mei sees an opportunity to strike at Itsuka as she launches her metal claws at Itsuka.
With the claws a few inches away from her, Itsuka manages to uses her Quirk as her fists grew to huge sizes.
Itsuka then uses her oversized fists to grab onto the wrists of the claws as Mei couldn't believe it.
"What the, impossible," Mei said in shock.
"Hatsume, you may have several inventions, but my Quirk surpasses all of those inventions," Itsuka said to Mei as her fists begin to tighten around the wrists.
Forty seconds later, using her impressive strength, Itsuka manage to rip the claws from the bag and tosses them to the side.
"My babies," Mei said in shock.
"Not so powerful without those claws," Itsuka said to Mei as Mei uses her bracers to get away from Itsuka.
"Oh no you don't," Itsuka said to Mei as she grabs onto the metal poles with her gigantic fists.
Then, Itsuka rips the bracers off the bag and tosses them to the side. This moment cause Mei to fall from ten feet high and onto the ground.
Mei then gets back onto her feet as Itsuka's fists shrunk down a little as they were twice the size of normal fists.
"Okay Hatsume, time to give you some payback," Itsuka said to Mei as she rushes over to her.
Mei then presses a button on her special corset as spikes poke out all over it.
"I'm not letting some spikes get me down," Itsuka said.
Once Itsuka was very close to Mei, she starts to swinging her fists at Mei's stomach and chest. The fists connects with Mei's body, unfortunately the spikes stab into Itsuka's hands as well.
"Damn, those spikes don't feel too pleasant," Itsuka thought as she continues to punch away on Mei.
Twenty seconds later, Itsuka stops as she steps back a bit.
Itsuka then shrunk her hands to normal size as blood was all over them, thanks to the wounds from Mei's spikes.
Mei was still standing as she didn't know was that Mei's special corset was starting to crack a bit.
"Fuck, I think I did more damage to myself than to Mei," Itsuka said quietly as she looks at her bloodied fists.
"Your fists can't take me down, I'm still standing bitch," Mei said to Itsuka.
"I have to make this count," Itsuka thought as she rushes over to Mei.
"Trying to take me out with your fists again, well that won't do you well," Mei said to Itsuka.
Just before she lands a punch on Mei, Itsuka expands her right fist to huge size as Mei felt the full blunt of that attack.
Mei screams in pain as she gets sent back at a high rate of speed.
Then, Mei strikes back first into a moving truck, breaking it in half as Itsuka's fists go back to normal size.
"Nice," Itsuka said as she shakes her hands after that punch.
Itsuka then races over to Nami and her hands go back to huge size again. Using her hands, Itsuka rips apart the net with ease as Nami starts to get back to her feet.
"How are you doing Nami?" Itsuka asked Nami as Nami gets back on her feet and grabs her bō staff.
"I'm doing fine, although it felt like I got punctured by a pit of spikes," Nami said.
"What about Mei?" Nami asked Itsuka.
Then, Nami and Itsuka see Mei getting up to her feet as she looked like she was in some pain. Then, pieces of Mei's special corset fall onto the road as it was shattered by Itsuka's super move.
Itsuka then sees blood seeping into Mei's clothes as that punch cause some pieces to cut up Mei.
"No way," Nami said in shock.
"This is freaking insane," Itsuka said in shock as Mei coughs up some blood.
Mei was smiling a bit as her special backpack was severely damaged from the landing.
"I'm still standing assholes, nothing can take down Hatsume," Mei said to Nami and Itsuka.
Mei then tries to glide around with her boots, but they were broken as her feet were on the ground.
"Damn it, that punch damaged my soles," Mei thought as Nami sees an opportunity.
"Now or never," Nami said quietly as she rushes over to Mei.
Once she was close to Mei, Nami swings her bō staff and strikes Mei in the face and ribs with it, but Mei was still standing.
Nami then nails a roundhouse kick square in Mei's face. The force knocks Mei to the ground and knocks out the kooky inventor.
"It's done," Nami said as she breathes a sigh of relief.
"Thank god, I couldn't take another move like that," Itsuka said as she looks at her bloodied hands.
"I'll free the others," Itsuka said.
Itsuka then uses her enormous hands to rip apart the nets and free Aqua, Beth, and Vivi. Then the three ladies regain consciousness as they were in some pain.
"Oh god that felt horrible," Vivi said as she holds her back in pain.
"Tell it to my ribs," Beth said to Vivi.
"At least we did better than Aqua," Vivi said to Beth as Aqua heard it.
"Hey, I'm standing right here," Aqua said angrily to Beth and Vivi.
"We know," Vivi and Beth said to Aqua as Itsuka turns her hands back to normal size.
"I'm glad this is over, Mei's off the wall attacks did a number on me," Itsuka said.
"Well we took care of Mei, now we need to get to more important matters, finding Dylan," Nami said.
"Right," Aqua, Beth, Vivi, and Itsuka said as they knew they had to find Dylan as soon as possible.
Well they defeated the wild Mei Hatsume and Itsuka also took some gnarly damage thanks to Mei's spiky corset. Now with Mei down, the girls will have to find Dylan and you won't believe where Dylan landed.
