Ash Ketchum's Master Aura Journey

Hello everyone, Knight of Britannia here, and I have to all of you a brand new fanfiction in the Pokemon World.

In this story, Ash will have far more powerful Pokemons and more importantly will be a better Trainer. But that does not mean that he will be an OP. No. He will have his faults. He will not win every battle, not necessarily that he will win every major league.

This is a story of a character transformation, how Ash from being a stubborn kid becoming a powerful and mature pokemon trainer. Also, Ash will not be hopelessly oblivious of all the advances of the girls that would accompany him. There will be a pairing: Ash/(?) I have not decided who I am going to put, but it won't definitely not in the beginning, because right now he is just a ten-year-old kid who just started his journey.

Also, he will not possess powers like Aura or Psychic (initially, at least). Then you may ask why the name of the story is Ash Ketchum's Master Aura Journey. All will be clear in future chapters, just wait patiently till then.

Hope you all like the story. Please comment in the reviews and tell me how you all liked it as it will surely help me writing better fanfictions in future as well.

And now, do enjoy!

Chapter 1: The Beginning of a Saga

Ash never in his wildest dreams of being a Pokemon Master did he imagine that he would die at the tender age of ten, that also on the very first day he began his journey.

It all began with him waking up late, on the very day he was supposed to get his first Pokemon. Thus, resulting in him arriving in Professor Oak's Office way too much time past the scheduled time. But early enough to, unfortunately, witness his friend-turned-rival, Gary Oak, beginning his journey with massive fanfare, including almost entire Pallet Town along with a group of Cheerleaders.

Cheerleaders. Seriously!

Ash wondered at that time how the hell Gary got hold of a group of cheerleaders. Along with a red convertible?!

Nevertheless, inside the revered Professor's Office to choose his starter. Only to find out all of them were gone! Or rather the trainers who were supposed to begin their journey on the same day came first, so chose first. In other words, first-come-first-serve.

With massive requesting and pleading, Professor Oak finally revealed he had a Pokemon for Ash.

A Pikachu.

At first, seeing the electric-mouse Pokemon, Ash had stars in his eyes. But soon getting himself electrocuted by the said Pokemon, and finding the hi starter had a shocking personality, he became bemused. But soon he was filled with determination, and the will to train rigorously with his new partner.

Within the next hour, he soon lost his initial determination, when the stubborn Pikachu even refused to listen to him at all. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands, when he saw another wild Pokemon. A Pidgey!

So, without Pikachu's support, he decided to capture his first Pokemon by himself. That is also nothing but with his green nightwear! Seriously?!

But this turned soon very ugly. When he got the proof that he could not capture a Pidgey with his pajamas, he got frustrated.

To release his frustration, he took a small stone from the ground and threw it in the direction of a group of Pidgey. But unfortunately, it did not hit the designated target, but in turn, hit the most unwanted target. A Spearow.

The Spearow, present in the road towards the Viridian City, in the outskirts of Pallet Town, were infamous for their temper and causing severe harm to the Pokemon Trainers traveling via that route.

In other words, Ash was in a big mess. But it turned bigger when the Spearow called for its comrades, i.e., other Spearows of his flock, at least a hundred others.

Ash quickly along with his Pikachu, ran for his life. But above all, for the life of his Pikachu. His life meant nothing to him, as long as Pikachu was saved. So, he grabbed Pikachu in his arms and ran away from the angry Spearows.

One time came, where he met a dead end, where there was a steep cliff, below which was a small river-like a stream. Without a moment's hesitation, he jumped along with his Pikachu into the stream, with the sole aim of saving the life of his friend.

The rapid flow of the stream carried him to an opening, where a girl was sitting with a fishing pole had rescued (read: caught) him, and Ash returned her favour by borrowing (read: stealing) her bike with the sole aim of reaching the Viridian City Pokemon Centre because his Pikachu's health was deteriorating every passing second. To make the matter worst the flock of Spearows was still following him and also a huge thunderstorm was also approaching.

So, where were we?

Ah! Ash was thinking that he, never in his wildest dreams of being a Pokemon Master, did imagine that he would die at the tender age of ten, that also on the very first day he began his journey.

Ash crouched on the ground with an unbelievable amount of pain coursing through his body, but it did not matter as long as his Pikachu was safely protected in his arms.

The small mouse cried meekly, "Pika…"

Ash gave a small, yet pained smile told his partner, "Nothing will happen to you. I will protect you with my life if required."

Tears formed in the corners of the electric creature's eyes, seeing that his trainer, whom he disrespected and refrained from listening even a single command, was ready to give up his life for his, Pikachu's, sake was all that required for the electric mouse to fight for his trainer.

Pikachu, in spite of being very weak, tried to wiggle out from Ash's grip to fight against the flock of Spearow.

Ash, understanding what Pikachu was trying to do, tightened his grip around him and cried, "Go Pikachu! You are in no state to fight them!"

At that time Ash heard the shrill cry of the Spearows above his head and saw that they all were all flying in his direction.

Ash closed his eyes waiting just for the inevitable.

It is said, that when a person is just mere seconds away from the doors of death, his or her entire life flashes in front of him.

Ash saw his entire life flash in front of his eyes. The loving face of his mother, Delia Ketchum, feeding him. The first time he met his friend Gary Oak. The first time when he was introduced to Pokemon was in Professor Oak's ranch. How he spent his almost childhood surrounded by Pokemon. Everything flashed in front of his eyes.

He readied for his end.

But something happened next, that drastically changed practically everything. What happened next perhaps changed the entire fate of young Ash Ketchum.

Perhaps, in some other multiverse or reality of Palkia's creation, Ash would have been a stuck-up unprepared Pokemon Trainer, traveling far and wide in different regions with different companions, to compete in different Leagues, only to finish in Top 8, or in some rare cases in semi-finals, or even if in some rarest of the rarest cases in the finals. But never winning any of them. Perhaps, in that reality, he would have been a mediocre trainer at the best with immense luck on his side, that would simply allow him to catch highly potential Pokemon, but he would not give them any fixed or formal training, other than gym or League battles, or occasional battles against skilled Trainers, most of them he would lose badly…. some cases…. very badly…. Also, he might have been hopelessly oblivious to the advances of the certain female companions of his journey….

But not in this one.

A certain interference would change the entire course of the story.

Ash was ready to embrace his fate when…

A sudden voice cried, "Luxray, Thunder shock on the Spearows!"

A huge lion-like Pokemon jumped in front of Ash and Pikachu, who had black and blue coloured skin with jet black mane and a slim tail with a small four-pointed star in the end.

Luxray gave a huge growl which unnerved both Ash and Pikachu, and then discharged a massive bolt of electricity, that Ash had ever seen, at the incoming Spearows which completely decimated them.

Ash and Pikachu were completely shocked seeing such a powerful Pokemon who completely annihilated the attacking Spearows. The rest of the Spearows, that were not part of the attacking group, feared for their lives and quickly made an escape. Another large growl from the lion-like Pokemon was enough for the avian to quicken their escape.

The strange Pokemon turned in the direction of Ash and Pikachu and gazed at them with its yellow eyes. Ash suddenly felt himself at the mercy of the Pokemon, when suddenly heard the voice of the owner of the Pokemon.

"Hey kid, get up!" said the voice.

Ash jerked his head back to see the figure of a boy no older than fifteen, with auburn hair and with electric-blue eyes. He was wearing a knee-length maroon trench coat which was open. Through the opening, his black full-sleeve-polo-neck-skin-tight jumper. He was also wearing skin-fit navy-blue denim. His hands were adorned with jet black skin-fit fingerless leather gloves. Overall, he had an intimidating attire, that clearly demands respect.

"Hey!" once again said the auburn-haired boy, bringing Ash back to reality.

He continued, "Get up! A storm is coming, and both you and your Pikachu are not in good health" with that he forwarded his hand.

Ash, without thinking much, quickly grabbed his hand and stood up shakingly on his two feet.

"Thank you" Ash muttered.

At that time another voice was heard in their surroundings, "Is your Pokemon okay?"

Ash looked to his right to see, a girl with flowing shoulder-length brown hair and cerulean blue eyes were walking up to him and the other boy. She must have also been fifteen.

The girl was wearing a navy-blue overcoat, with a white blouse and dark jeans. She also had similar fingerless leather gloves, but only bronze in colour.

Ash, remembering the state Pikachu was in, shook his head frantically and said, "Pikachu is heavily injured from the onslaught of the Spearows!"

The eyes of both the boy and the girl widened.

The auburn-haired boy looking up at the sky said, "The storm is approaching and it may start raining soon. Come we must take some shelter immediately!" Both Ash and the girl agreed.

The boy called back his Luxray in its Pokeball and headed towards the lush depth of the forest.

All three of them entered a bit deep into the forest and found a relatively large tree under whose thick leaves all three of them could take shelter.

No sooner did they reached under the tree than it started raining.

Ash looked at his Pokemon only to find its health was deteriorating at a very fast pace.

Ash cried frantically, "Pikachu hang in there!"

The auburn-haired boy, seeing the situation Ash's Pokemon is in, quickly dropped his bag down in the ground and quickly pulled a can of Super Potion and a baby feeding bottle, containing some yellow liquid stuff.

"Here, let me help…" said the boy and took the Pikachu from Ash's hands and gently put its head on his lap making it a pillow. He gently sprayed it on the various bruises and cuts on the body of the yellow mouse.

The electric rodent in turn gave a satisfied purr, "…cha…" The red-haired boy smiled.

The boy smiled and put the baby feeding bottle into Pikachu's mouth and urged him to drink from it, which he quickly complied.

After drinking some from, colour was slowly returning back to the Pokémon's body and was regaining back its health, slowly but steadily.

Giving a low cry, "…chaaa…" the yellow electric mouse slowly succumbed into deep slumber.

All this time, Ash had been looking at the his Pokemon with a look of concern.

Before Pikachu fell asleep, it looked at Ash with a look filled with gratitude and appreciation.

The boy in maroon coat looked up at Ash and with a broad smile said, "Don't worry, your Pikachu is fine now. He will be okay…"

Ash released a deep breadth that he was unknowingly holding back.

He earnestly said, "Thank you very much! I don't know what I would have done without your help…"

The boy simply nodded and accepted his thanks.

At that time all of them saw a huge lightning impact the ground near them. They could not see where it hit, but knew, that it was near them.

Within the next ten minutes, the storm passed them, and the weather became clearer. This entire time, all three of them sat under the tree in silence.

After the weather cleared, the auburn-haired boy asked Ash, "You were heading in the direction of the Viridian City, right?"

Ash replied, "Yes…"

The boy smiled and stood up. He said, "Come with us, we were also heading in the same direction, and we know a shorter way out from the forest here…and also Pikachu needs to be shown in a Pokemon Centre for proper medical treatment."

Ash nodded in agreement.

He stood up, and picking up his green backpack was about fling it behind his back when a small sound from it.

Ash in a confused tone said, "Huh?" And then opened his bag to check the source of the sound, only to find a bug-type Pokemon, somehow managed to make a hole in his bag pack and was resting on top of his clothes.

The Bug-type Pokemon seeing the owner of the bag gave a small cry out of fear, "Wee! Weedle!"

A Weedle.

The bug-type Pokemon similar to a caterpillar, with two stingers, one at its head and another at its tail end, looked at Ash fearfully. It was relatively larger than any of the other members of the same species.

Ash was dumbfounded, "A Weedle?"

The bug once again shrilled fearfully, "Wee! Wee!"

Understanding the Weedle's cause of fear, Ash smiled and gently patted its head and said, "Hey little guy! I am not going to hurt you, relax!" This greatly calmed the creature.

Ash gently picked up the Weedle from his now torn bag, due to Weedle's interference, and laid him on the ground. He pulled a small pouch from his bag which contained nutritious Citrus Berry. He pulled a berry and gave the Weedle to eat.

"Here, have this…" said Ash, giving the Weedle the berry, which the Pokemon chewed happily. Then he moved and nuzzled his feet

"Okay, Weedle, now go on…" The boy from Pallet Town gently urged the Bug Pokemon to return back to its dwelling.

The Weedle looked at the raven-haired boy for some time before once again start nuzzling him.

The auburn-haired boy and the brown-haired girl were watching silently this entire interaction between the raven-haired boy and the bug-type Pokemon.

The boy in the maroon trench coat coughed a bit, drawing Ash's attention towards him, and said, "I think this Weedle wants to be your Pokemon…"

Ash was stunned hearing this and looked back at the Weedle that gazing at him with hopeful eyes.

"You want to become with me, Weedle?" Ash asked uncertainly. The Weedle happily nodded.

"Okay then!" Ash grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and threw in the direction of the Weedle, quickly capturing it.

"Yes!" Ash shouted, "I caught a Weedle!"

While the auburn-haired boy had an amused smile lingering on his face, the brown-haired girl laughed. She said, "You love Pokemon a lot, don't you?"

"Yes, very much!" Ash nodded filled with enthusiasm.

Although feeling a bit bad that he had to break the boy's excitement, the auburn-haired boy reminded Ash, "Come on, we need to go reach Viridian City…"

Ash nodded, as he remembered that Pikachu was still in a poor condition.

All three of them reached the main road in the direction of the Viridian City.

Seeing that Ash was carrying his partner in his hands, the auburn-haired boy could not refrain from asking, "Why are carrying your Pikachu in your arms and not in a Pokemon?"

Ash answered, "You see…. actually, Pikachu doesn't like to stay inside the Pokeball…so…"

The boy nodded understanding the situation. He was about to make a comment when something happened, that left all of them stunned.

In the sky, after the rain, a beautiful rainbow was formed, through which a large majestic bird, with red and gold feathers adorning its majestic body.

Ash pulled his Pokedex to check the Pokemon, only to get the reply, "No Data Available."

It gave a loud melodic cry and soared through the sky and disappearing in the rainbow.

The auburn-haired boy in a maroon trench coat with now wide eyes said, with wonder evident in his voice, "Impossible…"

The brown-haired girl simply nodded in agreement, too stunned and amazed to form a word.

Ash turning at the auburn-hair and said, "You know what Pokemon it is?"

The boy simply nodded and said, "It never showed itself to the humans in the for more than hundred years, at least…It's Ho-Oh…"

Ash was gobsmacked. He had read in his Pokemon Encyclopedia in the section about the Legendaries that Ho-Oh was legendary Pokemon from the Johto region and had not been sighted in years!

To see a legendary out of nowhere, was too much of a coincidence for them.

What amazed them more was that three identical rainbow feathers of the said legendary appeared in front all of them which they quickly grabbed it.

All of them observed the rainbow feather present in their hand, feeling amazed at such an object.

The auburn-haired boy broke the silence by saying, "I guess…we all are very lucky…to not only witness but also blessed by a legendary…"

The rest of them simply nodded their heads to stunned to form a word.

After some, safely putting the feather in their respective bags, all three of them continued in the path towards Viridian City.

None of them spoke a single word, all busy in their own thoughts.

After ten minutes of walking, all could see the outskirts of the Viridian City. All three of them walked in the direction of the City.

Hope you all like it. Please review, stating how you all like it and if you have some suggestions or requests (like some Pokemons Ash will have). Till then, Adieu!
