Sorry for the long wait, I had exams and that meant that I could not find time to continue writing.

I am however back now and uploads will be more common from now on.

Anyway, let the chapter begin.

RUBY,S POV

Pain. That is the one word that was the only thing the silver eyed girl could think of as she lay on an iron table deep in a White Fang facility. The pain was the only thing that would keep her company in this hell, that and the torturer.

He comes and goes at irregular times, well, that's what she assumes anyway. She lost track of time long ago. The hours blurs into days which turns into weeks. She does not know how long she has been here, she was starting to forget things, it started small, like what colour a certain teachers hair was or what car her dad drove.

But it was getting worse now. She forgot things like what her favourite meal was, or what weapon she used. It has gotten to the point where she could not remember if she had a family, neither did she know what her name was, where she came from or how she ended up where she was.

As she was laying there she could hear a door open. She could not look to see who it was as her head was secured to the table looking up at the ceiling. She could hear a chuckle sounding from her left side before a voice spoke.

"Hello little Red, how's it going today. Up for a little play session? I have something special in store for you today." The voice said as it moved into her field of view.

It was a bear faunus namely her torturer. As soon as she saw him she began to pull on her chains while letting out small whimpering noises. Seeing her struggle her smiled, if it could be called a smile as it looked more like a sneer.

"Well look who's happy to see dear old me. Truly, you make me feel special little cub." He said as he took out a long slender knife out of its sheath at his side.

He brought the knife to her skin and hesitated as if contemplating what to do to her. Finally he settled on doing what he always started with.

He turned the knife so that the pint was angled directly down on her skin and lightly rested it on her. He then began twirling the knife in that spot so that it acted like a drill on her skin, slowly digging deeper and deeper into her flesh till it hit bone. He then pulled it out, moved it to another location on her body and started the whole process again.

He did it over and over till her whole body was covered in small holes. She held out first, trying her best to not scream as it would only bring him more satisfaction. In the end however, he won and she started to scream as he began the process for the 14th time.

After a while he ran out of places on her body to drill holes and reluctantly put the knife down.

"Well little Red, how about we try something new for a change eh? I know what we could do…" he said with a grin as her took out another knife and brought it up to her face.

"You know, I always liked those eyes of yours, I wish I could keep one for myself and it looks like today is my lucky day."

He then brought the knife down into her eye socket as she let out a blood curdling scream before everything went dark.

WEISS'S POV

It's been three months since she last saw Ruby. Three months of agony and pain of being alone.

So much has changed since she left. Yang hates Ruby with a passion and if you so much as mention her sisters name you run the risk of getting sent to the infirmary, and Blake simply never wanted to see her again and has said numerous times that she hopes Ruby is dead.

As much as she wanted to hate Ruby and move on, she simply could not do it as she still loved her. She understands why Ruby did what she did that day, but wishes that it went differently. Weiss wishes that she told them about it and that they could have gone with her to help. But alas, the reality of what happened is much different.

As she lay there in her dorm room on her bed she was busy thinking, what if she's still alive? They never found a body so that must mean she probably didn't die that night. There was only one way to find out for certain, and that was to confront Ozpin about it. Because she reasoned that the headmaster should know a lot more about the case as he was the one that sent Ruby to clear out the nest.

She made up her mind and quickly stood up and ran out of the dorm room much to her teams confusion and went to Ozpins tower. As she got to the base of his tower she saw Professor Goodwitch at her usual spot behind the desk leading to the elevator doors.

Weiss cleared her throat to get the professors attention. Looking up Goodwitch sighed abon seeing who it was that was bothering her so late in the afternoon. "Weiss, what do you want? If you want to see Ozpin you need to wait till tomorrow as it's too late to do it now." Goodwitch said as she looked down at her work and continued as if nothing happened at all.

"Miss Goodwitch, I regret to inform you that this is an urgent matter that can simply not wait till tomorrow and needs to be addressed immediately."

"Sorry Miss Schnee, but if it was so important why did you not come earlier?" Goodwitch responded in an annoyed tone.

Weiss opened her mouth to retort but before she could a ding sounded and the elevator doors behind the professor opened to reveal Ozpin standing there with his signature mug in his hands and a smile on his face. "Glynda, I will take it from here. Come Miss Schnee, it appears we have much to discuss." And with that Ozpin turned around without a second glance at any of them and proceeded into the elevator.

"Come along Weiss, as Professor Glynda stated earlier it is getting rather late and I would prefer to settle this matter as early as possible." Ozpin stated as the heiress walked past Glynda with a smug look and followed the professor in to the elevator which then closed behind them and started its trek up the tower.

Once they reached the top of the tower the elevator door opened and Ozpin proceeded into his office followed by Weiss. Once in the office Ozpin gestured to a chair and told her to sit. Once she was seated Professor Ozpin was the first to speak. "Well Weiss, what matter is so important that you risk the ire of Glynda to discuss it with me?"

"Well, you see sir, I was thinking earlier about Ruby and something occurred to me. You never found a body, and that means Ruby is probably still alive." Weiss said beginning to sound exited.

"Ahh. Well, you see Weiss that is a complicated matter you speak of. While it is true we did not find a body, who says that a Grimm did not drag her of, or another person found her first?"

"Well sir. I believe that if it was a Grimm. There would have been more of a mess left behind, although, you have a point. Maybe someone found her and decided to take her with them to help her recover?"

"Those are all excellent points you have there, and it has some truth to it too. I knew you would figure it out eventually, but I never expected it to be this soon. As you may know, Miss Rose has a complicated and a very violent history, one I would never wish on any living being."

"What do you mean sir?" Weiss asked with a supercilious look on her face.

"Miss Rose has a rather volatile history with the White Fang, and all the evidence we have gathered suggests that it was them who stumbled upon Ruby and took her. So I suggest you go back to your dorm room and if you speak a word about this to your team mates or go after her there will be dire consequences, do you understand Miss Schnee?" Ozpin said rising from his seat and gesturing to the door.

"Yes sir." Weiss said irked at what Ozpin said.

As she walked into the elevator she could see Professor Ozpin waiving at her from behind his table before the doors closed and the elevator began its descent.

As the elevator reached the bottom the doors opened and Weiss stepped out into the lobby where Glynda still sat. As she walked past the older woman told her to have a good night and resumed her work. Weiss then proceeded to walk back to her dorm not knowing someone was listening in on her conversation with Ozpin,

As she reached the dorm room she entered to find her teammates in the exact same position they were in when she left. As she went and sat on her bunk Blake looked up from the book she was reading and looked at Weiss quizzically.

"Where were you? You didn't say where you were going before you left, it has been almost an entire hour since you went to who knows where." Blake said narrowing her eyes at the heiress suspiciously.

Remembering what Ozpin told her she quickly made up a lie. "Well… I was in the infirmary because of this damn headache I have had all day long and I was really getting sick of it so I decided to go get some medicine."

"If you say so Ice Queen, then we have no choice but to believe you." Yang said with a smirk as she peeked over her bed to look down at Weiss.

NEO'S POV

As Neo lay there in one of the many vents dotted through the Beacon Tower, she listened to the conversation transpiring between Ozpin and Ruby's team mate Weiss, who was also Neo's love rival, although the heiress didn't know that.

She was spying on the headmaster to try and find out what he knew about her beloved's whereabouts that could help her in her quest to find her. Neo did not for one second believe that Ruby was dead. She knew the silver eyed girl was alive, because nothing could kill her.

As she lay there she heard a very interesting peace of information. Ozpin believed that Ruby was in the possession of the White Fang. That was enough for her, she knew where they kept their most prised and secret prisoners. After all, she once worked alongside them before she met Ruby.

Neo carefully crawled back in the direction of her and Emerald's room as quick as she could. They were going to be out of here by the end of the day as they were going to rescue Ruby as soon as possible. She knew the green haired girl would not have any objections to this act as she was also in love with Ruby, much to Neo's eternal dismay.

As she finally got to her destination, which was the vent right above their dorm room, she dropped through it onto the dorm room floor causing Emerald to reach for her weapon as she thought it was someone spying on her.

"Neo? What the fuck are you doing in the vents!" Emerald yelled as she realized it was only her pink haired companion.

"Well Emerald, unlike you I was gathering information on where we can find Ruby. And also unlike you, I found the information on where to find her." Neo triumphantly said with a smile on her face as she began to pack her bags.

"Explain." Was all that Emerald said as she also got up and pulled a suitcase out under her bed and also began to pack her stuff.

"Well, my dear Emerald. I was in the vents spying on dear old Ozpin when Weiss Schnee walked in and began to talk to him about Ruby. After a while Ozpin told her that he believed that some White Fang grunts found her and took her with them to their base. Luckily for us, we were helping the Fang for years and so we know where they would keep her, in their cells under Forever Fall forest."

"You do have a point there, I will give you that." Emerald said as she continued to pack. "So, do you at least have a plan in mind on how we get her out of there, and then what? We can't exactly come back her with here, her sister and that Blake girl will kill her for sure."

"You worry too much Emerald. We simply barge in and kill everyone we come across till we find Ruby, as for your second question… well… I may or may not have a huge loft in uptown Vale that Roman left me, as well as a few Billion lien we gathered throughout the years." Neo said looking slightly sheepish at the burning glare Emerald was giving her for hiding that fact that she was rich beyond all hell.

"Uggh whatever. Let's just get moving before someone discovers our plan." And with that Emerald took her suitcase and put up an allusion to conceal them as they made their way out of Beacon.

Two hours later…

As Neo and Emerald arrived at the White Fang base situated In the middle of Forever Fall forest they went over to a large rock that was serving as the door to their hidden base. Once at the rock Emerald pushed a few vines and roots out of the way to reveal an old padlock.

Emerald thought a bit before typing In a code, after a few seconds of waiting the ground rumbled and a hidden staircase revealed itself between two large boulders situated nearby. "Hmm, glad to see their password hasn't changed since we were last here." Emerald said as she and Neo moved over to the staircase and began descending into the base.

After a while of walking through the endless corridors meeting little resistance along the way, they came across one of the commons areas where there were lots of White Fang members sitting about on what they assumed was a lunch break.

Without any hesitation Emerald pulled out her dual pistols and began shooting at the White Fang grunts all over the room. as soon as the first grunt hit the floor with a hole in his head the rest of them jumped up from their chairs and charged at the colourful duo trying to kill them.

As the first grunt reached Neo and brought his sword down on her she simply sidestepped and hit him on the head with her parasol. As he hit the floor she pulled out her sword hidden in the handle of the parasol and brought the blade down on his head, putting a hole through it and effectively killing him. She then charged at the remaining grunts who hesitated at attacking her after she displayed how easily she could kill them.

As she got near them they raised their swords to block her, but they not expect her to drop down onto her knees and slide underneath them. As she passed under them she brought her sword up in an arc from behind her head and split four of them in half from their waist line to their neck, spilling their guts on the floor. As she slid out from under them she came up and swung her sword in a horizontal arc relieving the remaining three men of their heads.

Neo looked at the dead grunts to make sure she got all of them and noticed that Emerald was also standing in her own pile of dead White Fang members and said. "Come on we need to find her now that they know were here."

Emerald nodded and they proceeded to continue their search of the base. It wasn't long before they found a set of locked iron doors. Emerald shot the lock a few times and kicked the doors open to reveal a chamber with a steel table in the middle with Ruby chained on to it.

They rushed to her side only to see a sight that made their stomachs turn. Ruby lay strapped to the table naked and covered in what cuts and what appeared to be small holes dug out all over her body.

Her whole body was drenched head to toe in dried and new blood, which insinuated that they did not even bother to move her after they were done with a session, much less take the time to clean her after they were done.

She was missing an eye, and if the bleeding indicated that it did not happen too long ago. She appeared to have multiple burn wound all over her body and what looked like bite marks from numerous animals and or Grimm.

Without a word Neo took of the cloak she was wearing and draped it over Ruby to cover her nude. Emerald then shot the chains to release Ruby from her bonds and Neo then proceeded to pick her up and walked out of the chamber, leaving all the blood behind.

They walked out of the base meeting little to no resistance as all of the White Fang members were either dead or knocked out cold. Once they reached the outside of the base Neo gave the girl in her arms to Emerald and pulled out a scroll and dialled a number.

After a few rings someone picked up and Neo told them to come to her location and to bring medical supplies with them.

After about fifteen minutes Emerald could hear the sound of an incoming bullhead, which upon arrival landed near them and a few medics rushed to Ruby and took her to the bullhead. When Emerald and Neo entered the ship they could see a few people working on Ruby to stem the flow of blood and disinfect the wounds.

Neo went to the cockpit and told the pilot to take them back to her loft, to which he simply replied, "Yes Mam." And began flying back to Vale.

Once they arrived at one of the biggest mansions in uptown Vale they landed on a helipad on the roof and rushed Ruby inside to the mansions personal infirmary. They worked on Ruby all night long while Neo and Emerald could only sit outside and wait for news on Ruby, all the while crying about what happened to her.

After what felt like forever to the pink haired girl, one of the doctors came out of the infirmary and approached her. "Well Miss Neo, we did all we could for her and she is now stable. However she will have lots of lasting scars that will be with her for the rest of her life, as well as the fact that she appears to have amnesia because of the trauma she endured. She also lost her right eye. But be assured she will be fine." The doctor said as he began to walk away before stopping and saying. "You should probably rest Miss Neo." Before continuing to walk away from them.

"You hear that Neo? Ruby will be fine, come on we need to get some rest so that we can be there for her when she wakes up." Emerald said as she guided the still crying Neo to the master bedroom and laid her down on the bed where she promptly fell asleep.

Emerald headed to the room across from the room Neo was sleeping in and went to sleep wondering if everything will truly be fine as the doctor says.

She really hoped so…

Well that's everything for this chapter. I will be back to updating regularly now so expect a lot of progress.

Also I will be posting a new story I have been working on when this story's first arc is completed, which is not long from now if everything goes to plan.
