The sound of a single person eating was the only thing you could hear in the large dining room. Izuku placed his bowl back on the table then he chugged down on some water.

"So how was school today? Tenko told me that you met that Bakugo kid again." Izuku's father started up a conversation. Izuku chuckled.

"Yeah. He's actually in the same class as me and came first in the Entrance Exam. I heard that he took down a 0-pointer and got huge rescue points for saving the girl, Ochaco. Speaking of Ochaco, she and an Iida, Tenya, became my new friends at school." Izuku proudly told his father.

"That's good." His father only commented. Izuku smiled but then the mirth in it faded away. He looked straight at the camera of the laptop that he was talking to.

"What's wrong, Izuku?" His father asked. Izuku's eyes watered.

"When are you coming back? It's been six years. I miss you so much, Dad." Izuku said as tears started streaming down his cheeks.

"Izuku... I promise I'll be home soon." His father reassured him.

"But you've been saying that since five years ago!" Izuku stood up, pushing his chair back and disturbing the china on the table.

"I just... I just want us to be together again... you, me, and Tenko." Izuku continued to cry. Hisashi let a few seconds pass before he said something.

"I promise, Izuku. I'll be home within this year."

"Really?" Izuku wiped the tears on his face.

"Yes." Hisashi answered his son's question. Izuku heard the sincerity in his father's voice and sat back down.

"I'm sorry for my outburst." Izuku apologized.

"It's okay."

Then one of their maids entered the room with dessert. She placed the food in front of Izuku then took the china Izuku had finished eating on to be taken back to the kitchen.

"I am..."

The students of Class 1-A all looked up to the door, curious as to who said that, Wait, that's—

"Entering the door like a normal person!" A tall and well-built blonde with very sharp features entered the room. The entire class—save for a few moody ones— beamed, "ALL MIGHT!"

Izuku, especially, beamed. It's All Might! It's actually All Might! He was ecstatic to see his idol since 5 years old. His body moved by itself, he stood up and walked toward his idol. With journal in hand, he bowed and reached out, "Would you sign this for me?"

The whole class was silent for a moment, then everyone laughed. Izuku stood straight and hugged his notebook. He started to blush. He was just so excited to finally meet his idol! The only thing in his head when he saw All Might was to get him to sign his Quirk Analysis Journal. His body just went on autopilot.

"Can I see that, my boy?" All Might asked. The whole class quieted down, then Izuku handed over his journal to the pro hero.

Toshinori looked at it. It was a hard cover journal. Nothing else to note other than 'Quirk Analysis' written on the cover. He flipped to a few pages reading some parts as he did.

They were incredibly thorough analyses. It contained the name of the hero, their Quirk's name, the advantages and disadvantages of their Quirks, and even had sections elaborating different ways to defeat the Quirks. That last part sent shivers up Toshinori's spine but he fought to keep his ever present smile. If this boy is really his son—

Finally, Toshinori arrived on the page that was yet to be written on and signed it, then he handed it back. And he saw the boy just... beam. He beamed like a child getting a special present on their birthday.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been a fan since I was five! And this is just so important to me!" The green-haired boy was visibly ecstatic at the pro heroes actions which made Toshinori feel bad. Still he kept that iconic smile of his on.

He only took the notebook to see what was inside, if there was anything incriminating in it— which on second thought, no one would hand over such notebook to a pro hero— it made him feel bad because the boy's joy was sincere. It wasn't a fake one, Toshinori could just tell.

"I will be your teacher for your Foundational Hero Studies. A subject unique to the Hero course." All Might explained. The students looked over at the walls as segments protruded from it. "As this is a Hero subject, I expect all of you to wear your hero outfits."

Izuku had been designing his outfit since he was 5. He'd been adjusting it to the Quirk combos he's thought of and his dad taught him ever since. It's so exciting for him to finally wear it for his Hero Studies.

"Izuku?" He looked to the girl who called his name. It was Ochaco.

"That's an interesting design. You look like a bunny." The girl commented which hurt something inside Izuku, The tufts aren't supposed to be ears...

Izuku remembered the first time he had shown his first draft to his brother.

"Those are supposed to look like All Might's hairstyle?" Tenko couldn't stop laughing. "I thought they were bunny ears!" He wiped the tear that was forming in the corner of his eye as the young Izuku pouted angrily at his older brother.

"Izuku?" Ochaco's voice snapped Izuku out of his flashback.

"Uh... it's supposed to look like All Might's hairstyle..." Izuku chuckled as he nervously corrected his classmate.

"Gather round, boys and girls." The whole class listened keenly in respect for the no. 1 Hero. What followed was All Might explaining the setup of their first class of Foundational Hero Studies, a battle trial. The students will be grouped into two through lottery, except for one group who will have three members due to a particular sour grape getting expelled the day before. Two pairs will face off against one another, with one Hero group and one Villain group. The battle will be indoors as, according to All Might, it is the most common type of battle between heroes and villains.

Izuku was paired with Eijiro Kirishima as the hero team, against Momo Yaoyorozu and Fumikage Tokoyami. They're going first.

Izuku didn't wait and immediately began formulating a battle plan as his team and the villain team went to their positions.

The villain team has the advantage here. With Yaoyorozu's Creation Quirk, she could easily make traps to be set around the building or create various weapons guarding the nuke. As forTokoyami, his Dark Shadow can act as offense and defense. And if I'm right, it's stronger in the dark. If they were to block every window and get the lights out, then Tokoyami, hypothetically, would be in his ideal habitat.

"Izuku?" He looked at the speaker who was looking confused and concerned. Then Izuku realized that he was mumbling and he immediately apologized, "Ah! I'm sorry. It's a habit I picked up from my Dad."

"Oh! Were you formulating a battle strategy? Okay shoot." The spiky red hair told him. Izuku tugged on his chin.

"Well... the villains have quite an advantage thanks to Yaoyorozu's Quirk, since she could make traps. And if I'm correct about Tokoyami's Quirk, he's suitable for both close and long distance combat. In addition, it should be stronger inside, where it's dark. Our Quirks aren't ideal for the situation. My Quirk is ideal for close combat, same with yours. In addition, you're not ideal for this kind of mission since your Quirk seems more ideal for bodyguard missions—"

Izuku backtracked and realized his latter statements, and immediately tried to apologize, "Ahh! Not that I— I mean—I wasn't saying your Quirk is—"

"THE INDOOR BATTLE TRIAL COMMENCES!"

It was time for the heroes to storm the building. Izuku wasn't able to tell Kirishima the plan and worse he just insulted his partner. Dammit.

Izuku took a deep breath and brushed his thoughts away. He'll just have to compensate by telling his plan now to Kirishima. They're in a battle now.

"Kirishima." Izuku took a peek of the stairs from the corner. When he saw it was clear, they continued up.

"The chance of the villain team sending out Tokoyami is high. Yaoyorozu's Quirk is very useful but it is still a Quirk that is best kept behind the lines. If my theory is confirmed and we are attacked by Tokoyami, I want you to advance and look for Yaoyorozu. At that point, the winner will be whoever can outlast the other." Izuku explained as they walked in the dark hallway.

Then he looked back at Kirishima and smiled, "Your Quirk's ideal situation."

Kirishima's eyes widened, "Look out!" Using his body as a shield, he took the blow from Dark Shadow's attack. Izuku and Eijiro took a few steps back. At the end of the hallway was Tokoyami.

"Kirishima, stick to the plan!" Izuku yelled as he charged onwards to Fumikage. Eijiro nodded and went the other way to look for a different route.

Izuku cocked his arm back for a punch towards Fumikage, but he immediately retreated after Dark Shadow surrounded him.

Tch. There's no way I can get near for a clean shot. Subduing him would require more effort. In order to subdue him, I would need to subdue both of them... or knock them both unconscious. No choice, I need to put in more force for us to win.

Izuku went to a runner's crouch, activating Muscle Augmentation and Fortify in his legs then Impact Recoil in the rest of his body. He glared at Fumikage. The latter readied himself as well, and took a stance while Dark Shadow floated just in front of him.

Izuku sprinted towards his opponent, Dark Shadow charged towards him with the intent of thrashing the boy. Dark Shadow went in for a headbutt but both he and Fumikage was surprised when she was flung away— as if the force of his attack was returned.

Dark Shadow flew back to where Fumikage is, they had no time to react as they saw Izuku in the air, cocking back his arm that had swelled and twisted.

"I'm sorry." They saw him mouth before they were flung back by the force of the green boy's punch. The force enough to send the wall behind them flying down to the first floor.

Toshinori gulped as he saw Tokoyami unconscious under the sun amid the rubble. Izuku jumped down, calmly and slowly walking towards his unconscious classmate as his arm slowly went back to normal. Then he wrapped the capture tape around the other boy's hands.

Izuku looked up at the building and sprinted back in.

Toshinori gulped again, but he kept his smile on to hide it. If this kid is that man's son— no, even if he wasn't, the way he calmly walked over his classmate after sending him flying was terrifying. Something only a villain could do without flinching.

This kid, villain's kid or not, has a coldness to him that a hero shouldn't have. He is supposed to be taking the hero role but his actions in battle were of a villain.

Toshinori's mind flashed back to yesterday. The first time since six years ago that he saw the arm that had rid him of his stomach. Then he flashed back to his fight with the man that was responsible.

"Midoriya and Kirishima won!" A student of his exclaimed, snapping Toshinori out of his train of thought. He looked back at the monitors and saw Young Kirishima wrapping the capture tape around Young Yaoyorozu's hands.

"HERO TEAM WINS!" All Might announced.

Medics immediately went in and took Tokoyami to the clinic while Yaoyorozu, Kirishima, and Midoriya went to the observation room where the rest of the class had been watching.

Compliments started raining down on the students that just finished the activity, mostly on Midoriya.

But All Might had to step in and continue his class.

"Boys and girls," The entire class had their full attention on him. "While the winners may have been the hero team, can someone tell me who the MVP of the match could be?"

The class was quiet until one boy— Enji Todoroki's son— answered, "I would have to say it was Yaoyorozu. She had planned their stand well. She made window covers that Tokoyami used to bring him to his ideal battle ground, in addition to defending the nuke as long as she did against Kirishima. Midoriya could've easily been the MVP, but he had damaged the building in order to defeat his opponent."

"THAT'S RIGHT!"

"Now then, let us commence the second battle."

The friends of the next fighters wished them good luck as they left for the building.

"Um... All Might?" Toshinori looked at his student with green hair.

"Can I go to the clinic? I want to check on Tokoyami. I had to knock him unconscious... I already apologized to him before I attacked but..." Midoriya paused.

He apologized?

"But I still want to check that he's okay."

Toshinori looked at the boy's eyes. He's sincere, he could tell.

Toshinori placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, "I can tell that you're really worried for your fellow hero-in-training. That is a characteristic a hero, should have."

"You can go." Toshinori watched the the boy in green sprinted out.

Unbeknownst to them, a heterochromic also had his eyes on the green-haired boy, ever since the Recommendations Exam.

The liquid swirled as Tenko put the glass down. He wiped his lips with a paper napkin, then he looked at the newspaper and grimaced.

That man... that damned man...

"DAMN HIM!" Tenko pounded at the counter, cursing as his emotions exploded. The other person in the bar looked at him with his glowing yellow eyes.

"Damn All Might." The light blue haired man continued.

"He ruined our family, he made my brother cry, AND HE WOULD DARE TEACH IZUKU?!"

The other person watched as the man child crumpled the newspaper and disintegrated it with his Quirk, continuing to curse with a coarse voice.

Kurogiri took a different glass and proceeded to wipe it clean with a rag.

It's not a secret that Tenko hates All Might and wants him dead. It was always his and his father's plan, but it all became personal after the battle between Hisashi and All Might six years ago. It was because of All Might that Hisashi couldn't come home to Izuku anymore. They couldn't let Izuku see him, not with what All Might had done.

Tenko knew that he'll eventually have to leave Izuku one day to become Hisashi's successor. He knew it'll hurt his little brother but he always thought that their Dad will still be with them... but he was wrong.

All Might had taken their father away from Izuku.

In every phone call, Tenko could hear the sadness in his brother's voice, he could hear just how he missed them.

All Might is supposed to inspire happiness in those who look up to him, but what did he do? What did he do?! He made Izuku cry, THAT'S WHAT!

In a surge of emotions, Tenko grabbed the glass he drank from before and threw it to the wall. Kurogiri could only watch as it broke into tiny shards.

"Kurogiri!" Tenko stood up, pushing his chair back and making the wood scratch the floor. "It's time."

A portal opened and Tenko walked in then out to the front gates of UA.

"Then it's settled. Izuku Midoriya as the President and Momo Yaoyorozu as the Vice President."

Aizawa-sensei's words echoed in Izuku's head. How on Earth did he even get the role?! Does he even deserve it?

"Izuku?"

Izuku looked at his eyeglass-wearing classmate, "Yeah?"

"Is something bothering you?" Tenya asked the green-haired boy.

"Uh... I guess I don't feel like I deserve the position of President. I think this spot should go to someone else, like you, for example." Izuku answered.

"I think you do deserve it." Everyone at the table winced.

He spoke! They all thought in their minds. The person they were referring to was Shouto Todoroki. He had asked to sit with them— which was weird, they admit— but they just brushed it off. Since then, he remained silent and just ate, until that one statement.

"You proved yourself at the Quirk Apprehension Test and Battle Trial, you are formidable." Shouto added. Everyone awkwardly agreed and nodded.

A sudden alarm startled the whole cafeteria,"ATTENTION, U.A. GROUNDS HAVE BEEN BREACHED. PLEASE EVACUATE IN A CALM MANNER."

Izuku, Tenya, Ochaco, and Shouto attempted to do so, but they were overwhelmed and separated by the other students that were trying to get out quickly, leading to the whole student body stuck in the hallway.

"Ochaco, Izuku, where are you?!" Tenya tried to call for his friends from his position against the wall. Ochaco was stuck between students somewhere in the middle, "Over here!"

"Gah!" Izuku grunted as he hit the glass hard. He felt liquid flow down from his forehead. He opened his eyes and was astounded by the view he saw. Outside, was a group of media people. They were the reason this whole fiasco was happening. Izuku frowned and grimaced.

He struggled to get his arms up. Activating Muscle Augmentation and Fortify, he clapped his swollen arms. The shock wave was enough to shatter the glass and catch the attention of the students, who all got out.

Blood continued to flow down from Izuku's forehead and in a surge of different emotions— frustration, disappointment, anger— he yelled at his fellow students.

"THEY GAVE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS! TO EVACUATE IN A CALM MANNER! BUT NO. EVERYONE GAVE IN TO THE TERROR AND PANICKED AS WELL! YOU ARE ALL IN U.A.! SOME OF YOU ARE TRAINING TO BE HEROES, AND YOU WOULD DARE ACT LIKE 5 YEAR-OLDS IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS?! I ONLY HEARD WHAT? THREE? FOUR PEOPLE? WHO TRIED TO CALM THE STUDENT BODY! YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED TO BE U.A. STUDENTS!"

Izuku's words were loud and clear, for someone who's been quiet. It shocked his classmates.

Shota, Toshinori, Hizashi, and Nedzu frowned at the sight of UA's gates. It was completely destroyed... disintegrated... decayed.

Shouta grimaced. Damn the media. All for an interview with the no. 1 hero... he cursed in his mind. A few students got injured during the panic that ensued. Midoriya— his student got injured.

"We'll have to strengthen security." Shouta commented.

"It's already being worked on." Nedzu replied with a straight face.

"But what about the person with the disintegrating Quirk?" Shouta asked.

"The police are working on it." Toshinori answered.

Let's hope so. "I have a bad feeling about this." Shouta voiced his opinion. The other three teachers looked at him gave him a confused look.

"No one would dare attack UA's walls. No villain would, especially now that All Might works here. The media has balls but they wouldn't dare vandalize UA walls." Shouta's words made the atmosphere tense. No one dared to give a comment for a few seconds.

"But that Midoriya kid handled the situation well, didn't he?" Hizashi changed the topic. "He's your student, right, Shouta?" He followed up. Shouta hummed yes.

"A little too vicious but I think it was because of the extra adrenaline and seeing his own blood." Hizashi added.

Something in the Voice Hero's words riled up Toshinori's phantom stomach.

Izuku took a deep breath. He patted his forehead where his injury was. Recovery Girl's Quirk is amazing, it's like he was never even injured. Recovery Girl said that it wasn't serious so that was something to be grateful for, with or without her healing Quirk.

The quiet of the room was shattered by Izuku's phone. Seeing it was Tenko, he answered, "Hello?"

"WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED?!" Izuku had to distance the phone from his ear because of the suddenness of his brother's voice. Not wanting to hurt his eardrums, Izuku pressed loudspeaker.

"Hey, Tenko. H-how's work?" He nervously asked.

"Don't detract from the question, Izuku. I got a call from your school about an injury. Where'd you get it?" Tenko insisted an answer.

"Well... you see, in a desperation to get an interview with All Might, the media broke through the gates, which kinda set off the alarms. Chaos ensued and we got stuck in a hallway. In the panic, I was pushed towards the window glass, where I hit my head too hard— but don't worry! It's fine now. Recovery Girl already healed it." Izuku answered.

Izuku expected a reaction, but he got nothing. The other side was quiet, eerily quiet.

"Tenko?"

A few more seconds past before Tenko said something.

"I'm sorry, little brother." Tenko's voice was low and soft.

Izuku was confused, "What for?"

"Don't worry about it, Tenko. It was just a little wound. No permanent damage. It's not like I broke bones." Izuku laughed.

But his laugh died down when Izuku noticed that he wasn't getting any reaction from the other side.

"Tenko?"

"..."

"Tenko, you still there?"

"..."

"Tenkooo~?"

The call ended. Did I say something?

Izuku contemplated calling his older brother but before he could do so, the clinic's doors snapped open and his friends entered and ran towards him.

"Izuku! Are you okay?" - Ochaco

"That was a risky move, breaking the glass, you could've gotten more hurt!" - Tenya while chopping the air

"You're fine, now, right?" - Shouto— wait, you're also here?

"Guys, guys. I'm fine. Recovery Girl already had it covered. She had me miss afternoon classes because she was worried I might get a little lightheaded, but really, I'm fine." Izuku told his friends and they eased up.

But tensed up again due to surprise when Izuku's phone ringed. It was his dad.

"We'll be outside." Tenya told him and the three of them proceeded to walk away.

Izuku answered and put him on loudspeaker, "Hey, Dad. I assume you heard from the school and-or Tenko?"

"I did. Are you okay now? Because I can get Daruma to check up on you."

"No, I'm okay now, Dad." Izuku chuckled.

"Good." Hisashi's voice sounded truly relieved.

"Are your friends there?" Hisashi suddenly asked. The three who were about to leave the room looked back.

"Can I talk to them?"

Izuku was a little confused but he asked his friends and it was okay to them so okay.

Tenya, Ochaco, and Shouto walked back to Izuku.

"Hello, Midoriya-san. Nice to meet you." Tenya started the discussion. "I'm Tenya Iida."

"My name is Ochaco Uraraka."

"Shouto Todoroki."

"Todoroki? As in Endeavor Enji Todoroki? You're his son? Being the son of the no. 2 hero must be amazing." Hisashi commented.

Shouto frowned, "Not really."

Hisashi chuckled at the boy's answer.

"I thought so. I never liked the man. He felt wrong for a hero." The man replied to Shouto, which made the heterochromic boy wince.

"Daaad." Izuku voiced his slight frustration. "I'm sorry about that, he can be very blunt. Especially, with heroes."

"I'm voicing my opinion. Is that wrong?" Everyone chuckled at the man's words.

"Tenya, Shouto, Ochaco," The three tensed up at the man's mention of their names.

"I would like to thank you for being friends with my son. I was worried he would be a social outcast since the only social interactions he's had outside of me and his brother are his interactions with our servants at home. He's been homeschooled since 4, you see. So I'm glad he has friends already, even though the school year has just started."

Homeschooled? Shouto took notice of that specific statement.

"No problem, Midoriya-san. Izuku is an amazing person to be with, we're glad to be his friends." Ochaco replied.

"Ah, well then. I need to go. Bye, Izuku. Bye, everyone." The call ended. Izuku wore a big smile after hearing how happy his father sounded.

"Your Dad is nice, Izu-kun." Ochaco smiled at him. Izuku could only smile and nod at the compliment.

"He's coming home this year after six years of being abroad so I'm excited." Izuku told them.

"After six years? Why? Where did he go?" Shouto asked, curious.

"He had to go away to handle job matters when I was 9. He hasn't come home since, but we still had regular communication through calls. But it's still much better to have him here."

His friends looked concerned but they chose to wear a smile to mirror the smile on Izuku's face. He looks happy so they should be happy.

Izuku was homeschooled. Then it proves my theory, he was trained from a young age— like me. But not like the way I was.

Shouto punched the wall of his room. His bicolored eyes were full of rage.

Izuku was trained to use his Quirk effectively but without all the hardships he gave me. Couldn't he do the same?! Izuku's father is a nice man and loves Izuku so why couldn't he be a father like Midoriya-san?

Shouto grimaced. He went through memories of the abuse he had to torment from that man when he could've done it differently.
