'The end.' She finished, but when she looked down she saw that her children were still wide awake.
'No. This is not the end. You and daddy went on many adventures. You helped the queen of Arendelle, you guys fought the wicked witch of the West. You went to the Underworld. Uncle Killian almost killed you when he was the dark one. And what about our great-grandmother?' Milah asked, with far too much energy for this hour and she chuckled softly.
'That are stories for another day.' Baelfire pouted.
'But the story is not finished.'
'Oh, no? I thought I said 'the End'.' She answered, but Milah shook her head.
'That doesn't mean that it's really over.'…That was true. And yet again she was outsmarted by her children.
'Mommy? Do you think I will ever find true love? Just like you and daddy?' Her daughter asked and she gave her a little smile.
'Of course you will. Everyone has a true love. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer to meet them.' Milah nodded with a thoughtful look.
'I'll meet him when I save him. Just like dad saved you from those bullies.' Milah said smiling, while she sprung up.
'I already met mine.' Bae said and curiously she looked down at him.
'Oh really? Who is it?'
'Leah.' Leah, Cinderella's youngest? They would indeed be a very adorable couple.
Suddenly the door opened, but she quickly calmed down when she saw her husband's face.
'What do I hear now? Does my son have a little crush?' he said, while both Milah and Baelfire ran at him to hug him.
'Daddy, your home! Mom just told us the story about how you two met and became a couple.' Milah said and Bae nodded.
'Oh, that's my favourite story. Shame that I missed it. Do you think you can retell it to me tomorrow?' Smiling she looked at the three and how they interacted. She always knew that he would be a great father, even when others said that they had their doubts. Everyone was proven wrong the minute she announced she was pregnant. He was the best father she could wish for her children.
After a couple of minutes they put the children to bed again and this time they finally seemed to be falling asleep. Quietly, they closed the door.
'So, the story of us, huh?' He whispered softly, with a smile and she rolled her eyes.
'They love it…How was your day?' He shrugged.
'The knave of hearts got into trouble again. I swear one of these days Emma is going to turn him into a tree out of irritation…Far more interesting is, how is our new addition doing?' He asked, while looking at her stomach and her smile grew. It was still early, but if you look really well, you could already see a small baby bump.
'He or she is doing fine. Still sure you want to tell the others tomorrow?' she asked, remembering what had happened last time. Her father had almost cursed her husband, but then turned into a very protective grandfather.
'It will be fine. He tolerates me now…I think.' They both smiled, before sharing a sweet kiss.
'I love you, Auriel.'
'I love you too, Felix.'
