Jason had a bunch of mixed feelings about the current situation. Firstly, he couldn't believe that he and Sophie were in another universe, Equestria at that! However, he was rather disappointed in the manner in which he first came to this world.
"Did Applejack say what I thought she said, Sophie? That my life could be in danger because of Quantum Tangling?" Jason asked his sister, worried because if anyone was going to be honest about something like this, the literal ponification of honesty would be a good bet.
"Yeah, I wonder how exactly you could be in danger." Sophie replied.
They didn't want to piss Applejack off, so the two siblings got to work bucking apples. Since humans don't buck with their hindquarters, Jason and Sophie had to think of a creative way to reap the apple harvest. It took Jason no more than 5 minutes to realize he could use his kata to create shockwaves, sending the apples into the basket.
"Woah, that's cool, bro! I didn't know you could use karate like this!" Sophie said in amazement. In actuality, Jason had to do twice the amount of work, since Sophie was too short to reach the trees. Perhaps Applejack wouldn't care?
A familiar blue figure hovered overhead, back in her true pony form, since the human disguise was no longer necessary: "Looks like humans can improvise nicely. You have no idea how often AJ forces me to help out around here. It's annoying. Besides, a little bit of physical discipline won't hurt anyone, right?" Rainbow Dash says, watching Jason use his prodigal skills in martial arts to get his work done. Sophie, on the other hand, cheats a bit, and uses her newfound magical abilities to level whole trees of their fruit, sending them plummeting into the basket.
"Dashie, any idea on why this will help me control my ability to fly? Is it about the lightning thing from earlier? I honestly don't know." Jason asked his friend, who just shrugged. "I don't know, man, I think Twilight might have an answer. Be sure to ask her whenever AJ tells you you're finished." Dashie says, flying off somewhere.
"Might as well follow her. I mean, I did like what? 500 trees? Multiply that by the average amount of apples, and we have some 10,000 apples. I say that is quite a handful, no?" Jason asked his sister.
"Yeah, I guess. I just don't want to get in trouble with Applejack, you know?" Sophie says, noticing her brother doesn't really care, and flies off in Dashie's direction.
"Damn it, what it I tell you about pissing people (or ponies) off!" Sophie said, quickly trying to fly in the direction of her brother. It doesn't work, and she is stuck on the ground
"Are you kidding me?!?! Celestia gave me powers temporarily? This is so unfair!" Sophie says, quickly getting the attention of Applejack, who was working in a different section of the orchard. She quickly gallops over to Sophie, and comforts her, since she seems upset.
"Aw, Sophie. I thought Celestia gave you alicorn magic. Poor thing, sugarcube. Here, I will go get you somethin' to eat, while your brother goes off and does whatever the hay is is thinking about." Applejack says, going to find something for the little girl to eat.
"Might get her some Apple Pie. I know Applebloom likes it, and she is probably the same age as Sophie, so perhaps they have the same taste for sweets," Applejack thinks to herself.
Meanwhile, Jason and Rainbow Dash were flying over Equestria, and Dashie noticed someone behind her.
"Hey, I thought you were working in Sweet Apple Acres? Finished already. Damn!" Dashie says, quite impressed.
"I just wanted to know where you are heading. I need to find out what exactly Applejack meant when she said I was in danger from the Quantum tangling? Any ideas?" Jason asked his quantum equal.
"Uhh, no clue. I was actually going to fly over to Twilight's place to ask her. You might be in luck. Anyways, while we are flying over there, I have an idea." Dashie said, as she stopped flying in midair.
"Rematch, Jason? Perhaps the new universe venue could augment your power? I need to see for myself!" Dashie says, beginning to power up. A cyan aura begins flowing around her body, with sparks of energy flying all over the place.
"Ooh! I think this is gonna be interesting." Jason says, attacking Rainbow Dash first, creating a shockwave in the sky due to his ludicrous reaction time. Rainbow Dash quickly deflects the attack, sending Jason plummeting towards the ground, creating a significantly sized crater in the Equestrian soil. Jason quickly returns to his position in the air, and uses the oh-so-useful Saifa kata to stun Rainbow Dash, leaving her open. Jason used this opportunity to send a flurry of punches and kicks at Dashie, launching her towards the sky.
"Oh no you don't!" Dashie says, beginning to increase speed, hoping to use a Sonic Rainboom as an attack of itself. It almost works, sending a massive explosion of color across the horizon, but Jason has the same pegasus-reflexes as Dashie, so he barely managed to doge the body slam. This flight continues in the air for a while, sending massive shockwaves across the sky.
These shockwaves were noticed all the way in Canterlot, and Celestia looked out the window of her citadel. "Ah, so it seems that the gifted martial artist from the world of our Creator is teaching Rainbow Dash a few tricks. How lovely! The question remains, however, if Jason's body can handle the quantum energy. I don't want any death on my hands, maybe I shouldn't have sent Applejack after him and Sophie, and collected them myself. Only time will tell." In the meantime, Celestia takes her quill and paper, and begins writing a letter:
"To my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
As you are already aware, these beings from another universe have created our world for their entertainment. The two beings, mere children, who came across the device allowing multiversal travel are rather peculiar, indeed. The older one got infused with Rainbow Dash's magic, making him superhuman. The girl is less of a problem. I gave her a temporary taste of magic, since she was sad, but that must have worn off by now. I beseech you to continue careful research of these two children, and determine whether they are safe in our world.
Always here,
Celestia."
The letter was sent instantaneously, making its way to Twilight's library, where Spike received it and gave it to Twilight: "Uh, you got a letter from Celestia. I think it's about those children." Spike said, before noticing the shockwaves from Dashie and Jason's fight.
"Oh my, I gotta intervene in this, someone could get really hurt." Twilight says, quickly flying up, trying to end the fight.
"Hey, what are you two eggheads doing?!?" Twilight says, flying in between the two fighters.
"Uh, we are sparring, what do you think we're doing?" Rainbow Dash says, quickly hovering in midair, as to not hurt her friend.
"Well, cut it out! If Jason overuses his power, he could die!"
