For those who are still enjoying the story, thanks for sticking with it.

Enjoy

Spencer had his eyes closed. He wasn't asleep though he wished unconsciousness would sacrifice him. Ed had him handcuffed to the foot on the bed. The cuffs went through the metal footboard, locking him in an awkward position on the floor. Spencer was thankful for having his pants and shirt on since Ed had turned the heating off. He had one of his ties wrapped around his face. It had been forced between his lips to keep him quiet and now it was wet with saliva and blood from his split lip. Spencer jolted upright when he heard the bathroom door open and he watched the empty door become filled by his father's tall frame.

He had a towel around his waist and his hair was shorter. Spencer glanced toward the open bathroom door where steam was pouring out and he saw hair scattered across the floor. He looked at the shower cubicle and wished he could shower too. He needed to scrub himself clean. He'd felt dirty before Ed had walked in and now he felt vile.

"Rise and shine," Ed said as he stepped around Spencer, who pulled his bare feet in. The movement was painful and Spencer spent the next few seconds breathing through the pain with his face scrunched up tight. Ed went to the closet and opened it up. He hummed as he helped himself to a pair of pants and a plain blue shirt.

"Hope you don't mind," he said, smiling at Spencer who flinched and turned his head quickly when Ed dropped his towel. The man just watched a reaction from him and it must have worked because Ed started chucking to himself.

"Ah, I'm a bit bigger than you," he called as Spencer kept his head turned. "You already knew that though."

Spencer nearly heaved, he pressed his hand to his stomach to ease the nausea.

"They'll do for now. We can get some more later."

Spencer kept his body drawn in on itself. The rag in his mouth was wet and disgusting and he wanted nothing more than to have it out and to be given a glass of water. Ed wouldn't be so generous.

Ed laughed when he saw Spencer curled up on himself and he buckled his belt, one he'd stolen from Spencer's small collection. "You can look now. I'm decent," he said, laughing again when Spencer tensed, his hands gripping the handcuff chain a little harder than before.

Eventually, once he was dressed, Ed walked over to Spencer and forced his head up. He squeezed Spencer's chin between his fingers and Spencer made a soft whimpering noise through his gag.

He tutted, turning Spencer's face from side to side and ignoring the way he winced and tried to pull his face away.

"I'll have to bring you with me," Ed said. His words were slow as he looked at Spencer thoughtfully.

Spencer managed to pull his head from Ed's hand and he shuffled back, welding himself to the bed frame.

Ed reached forward again but pulled Spencer's gag out instead of touching him. The wet rag fell past Spencer's chin and rested against his neck and Spencer sucked in a deep breath through his mouth and he swallowed hard.

"I'll have to get a rental car from somewhere."

Ed stood up and walked to the door, straightening his shirt as he went.

Spencer swallowed again, trying to moisten his dry throat before talking. When he finally managed to bring words up they came out croaky. "Just leave me."

Ed stood in the threshold, his hand coming up to hold the door frame. He turned his head and Spencer shivered involuntarily when he saw the smile on the man's face.

"Sweetheart," he said, licking his lips and turning away from the door and back to face Spencer. "Would you rather me visit Aaron?"

Spencer's stomach dropped and he felt an urge to heave seize him again. He pressed his face to the cool metal bed frame. He thought of Jack and he shut his eyes, holding his head firmly to the bed. After what Spencer went through last night and what Aaron must have endured throughout childhood, Spencer wasn't about to doubt Ed's capabilities.

"No." Spencer held onto the bedpost, the cuffs digging into his wrists.

"Or Sean?"

Spencer shook his head, keeping it pressed to the cold bed.

"No?"

"Don't hurt them."

Ed grinned. "Its you and me then, Myles," he said and then as an afterthought he added, "I better get that rental."

Aaron opened his front door and nearly feel over when Sean barrelled past him and inside. He turned straight away, glancing at the door as Aaron shut it.

"You're paranoid," Aaron said as Sean moved to the windows and cautiously looked out. Aaron sighed and shut the curtains on the window Sean was watching. He folded his arms and raised an eyebrow at his brother who rubbed at his jaw anxiously.

"Sean."

"Sorry... we don't know what that bastard will do." Sean sighed and turned to check the couch was behind him before collapsing into it. Just when Aaron thought he'd calmed down, Sean sat up again, looking around wildly.

"Where's Jack!?"

"With Jessica," Aaron said raising his arms when Sean went to stand up again. "He's safest there. She knows and she's staying inside. I already had officers sent to her house."

"Good. Good, that's good." Sean wrung his hands together before rubbing at his jaw again and Aaron rolled his eyes.

"You really need to calm down."

Sean stilled his anxious fidgeting and looked up at Aaron. "Really? Maybe you need to take this more seriously."

"I am."

"Are you? Our dad is a free man right now. The same guy who killed Ffion and Liberty."

Aaron closed his eyes briefly, exhausted by the conversation already. Their father's case was one Aaron had banished from his memory. It was the one case file he'd happily burn, along with his father. Sean, on the other hand, couldn't let the case go. He regularly contacted the family of the two girls their father had killed, Ffion Dwyer and Liberty Ellis. He wanted Aaron to get him all the paperwork from the case which Aaron refused. Aaron opened his eyes and looked down at his brother who had his elbows on his knees and his hands over his face.

"Sean," Aaron started but Sean wasn't listening.

"He killed our brother, Aaron. We're his 'unfinished business.'"

Aaron turned away upon hearing their third, unspoken-of brother. He needed to tell Sean the truth.

"Why else would he be out? Unless it was to kill us."

"You don't know that," Aaron said. He turned back to Sean who was looking up from his hands. "He's been in prison for so long maybe he just wants the freedom. If you remember he wasn't exactly a mastermind."

"He killed three people."

"Two," Aaron muttered and Sean scowled up at him but he chose not to question.

"Aaron, you don't understand! Why can you not see how bad this is?"

"He's one guy. He'll be found soon and we can go on pretending he never existed."

Sean was shaking his head at Aaron but he managed to bite his tongue.

Aaron walked away from Sean who had started to mumble to himself and he grabbed his keys from the kitchen counter.

"Come on," he said.

Sean looked up, his elbows still perched on his knees. "What?"

"We're going to my work."

Ed came back into the room and he threw Spencer's phone onto the bed. Spencer jolted awake and saw Ed grinning down at him. He groaned and let his head fall back, watching Ed through hooded eyes.

Ed pulled something from his pocket and let it hang from his fingers. "You've got a car," he said, jingling the keys in front of him. Spencer blinked slowly, squinting at his keys. "Which means no rental. Where do you keep it?"

Spencer ignored him and turned his head to the window. Ed walked to the window and glanced out. He looked back at Spencer as a grin slowly spread across his face.

"You know," he said, deliberately slow. Spencer looked at him. "If you don't tell me I'll just get bored. I know where Aaron lives. Maybe he'll be more fun."

"Parking lot," Spencer said and he swallowed, wetting his lips quickly. "Across the road and down three blocks."

"Will anyone know I've taken it?"

Spencer shook his head. "The place is quiet. It's more like car storage because I don't drive a lot."

Ed's smile spread, baring his teeth. He flipped the keys up into his hand. "I'll bring the car around back. I'll come and get you. You're coming with me and you'll come quietly understand."

Spencer nodded, his eyes falling to the floor.

"Good." He paused before stepping in front of Spencer and kneeling. He patted his cheek, rousing Spencer's attention. "Try anything and I'll find Aaron. Then I'll find Sean and then-" his whole face scrunched up with a smug smile, his eyes turned up with vile happiness. "Then I'll find your other dad. And your mommy. I'd have fun with her."

He smacked Spencer's cheek again, deliberately hitting the dark bruise under his eye. Ed stood up as Spencer stared down at the floor, his arms going limp with defeat in the restraints.

"I'll be back real soon, Myles. Then it'll be like good old times."

Ed laughed and turned and left the room. The door slammed behind Ed just as tears trickled down Spencer's cheeks.

When Ed returned he hurriedly uncuffed Spencer and yanked him up off the floor. He put the cuffs in his pocket hastily and led Spencer out.

Spencer rubbed his face quickly before stepping out of his apartment, Ed's arm tightly around his shoulders. None of his neighbours were out in the hall so they went down the stairs quietly and with no interruptions. When they got to the bottom, Ed turned Spencer and pushed him toward the backdoor.

Spencer pushed it open and when the outside air hit him he drank it in. He sniffed hard, trying not to cry now he was finally in the open. There were some other cars parked out back and Spencer looked down from the peaceful sky to see his own car right outside the exit. He flinched when Ed's slim fingers grasped at the back of his neck and squeezed. He glanced at Ed who was motioning to the car.

"Get in."

"Where?" Spencer's voice was timid and he flinched when Ed's fingers tightened.

"The fronts where I can see you."

He gave Spencer a shove and the young man staggered forward. Spencer took the last few steps alone and after a quick look back he opened the passenger-side door. Ed followed him and nudged him inside.

Ed pulled the handcuffs he'd used in the bedroom from his pocket and he cuffed Spencer to the door handle. Spencer watched him walk around and he glanced at the door handle he wasn't attached to. He gave it a pull before Ed opened the drivers door. It was locked. Spencer looked at the locks and saw that his were missing.

He turned slowly to look at Ed who was trying to start the car. "Thank god you have an old car," he said as he turned the key and ran his hands down the wheel. He glanced across at Spencer and grinned. "I can deal with this."

"Where are the locks?" Spencer said and he surprised himself by how low and dangerous his voice sounded. Ed wasn't so taken back by it because he just laughed and tapped his pocket.

"I know it's been a while, Myles, but I still know what I'm doing."

Spencer fell back into the passenger seat when Ed accelerated suddenly. He didn't try to sit back up. Instead he stared out of the window and at his faint reflection. He saw his black eye and the split lip Ed had given him.

He thought of Aaron as he looked back at his bruise. "Please help me," he mumbled.

"What was that, son?"

"Please..."

Spencer closed his eyes when Ed started to laugh.
