Day 1, part 1 (rough draft)

Normally, one would think, "It wouldn't happen again after being transported to another place," right? It was the first thing that sprang to mind after waking up in the middle of a cornfield with my two brothers. The kingdom also seem to have remained.

Unlike the previous time, when I was left with an empty kingdom and had to find out how to solve THAT problem. Tetsu wanted to bang the purple dragon that ruled over her territory, thus that's what caused the problem. I assume she was a ruler, as my father and mother rarely mentioned her. Tetsu took solace in her because his relationship with his father was...well, let's just say it wasn't the best. Father wanted him to be Prince, but Tetsu refused, slacking off. Merlin couldn't bear the pressure without being ill. So it was up to me to take up the mantle while still making time for myself and my brothers. As a result of not always performing what was expected of me, I earned the nickname of rebellious princess. I still had a good time looking back, with father's veins protruding out of his brow and mother threatening to transform him into a suit of armor. Even with the enjoyment and satisfaction of driving father nuts, there were still pressures.

At the time, I needed to finish the queening ceremony and locate a suitable companion. I mean, I briefly dated before that. I...ummm...I sorta bailed at the last minute. Let's just say they weren't my type or couldn't manage my "personality force." They didn't like the tomboy elements of my wonderful personality or the fact that I didn't take crap from anyone.

It was a lengthy 5 to 6 year struggle to get things back to normal. Because of the warring chromatic dragons, the dragon Isles were already a disarray. The usual Tiamat and Bahamut fare... I came from the Silver Isles, which were neutral grounds and a major trading port due to our position. We were smack dab in the thick of the chaos. So our disappearance exacerbated the situation.

However, on my journey to find help, I've met an interesting crew. A rag-tag of sorts…..with in

However, in my adventure to get aid, I've met an unique group of people. A mishmash of sorts...with intriguing characters... Some became gods in the end, while others retired to a simpler life. It went on and on, from Goliths to were-tigers to sheep to spellscales to humans, and it was a diverse cast of individuals. We ended up creating a guild and having a lot of fascinating and exciting adventures together.

As for me, well...ummm...as a princess, I may have broken a few laws... I might have fallen for the human paladin of Kord, or, more accurately, the paladin of freedom... ...that was an orphan...got pregnant out of wedlock without notifying my family...I couldn't tell them...I didn't know where they were at the time. Well, until Gwen was born, my first offspring out of twelve (they advised me to stop at ten, but I pushed out two more out of spite), then via some mystical madness. I was able to contact them and induce a heart attack in my father. Nothing says "surprise, you have grandkids out of wedlock" like that.

Hey, the Paladins of Kord are rather appealing. Have you seen Kord with all of those muscles and sheer strength? His followers are not far off. I couldn't say no to this. Sure, there was awkward flirting and a lot of misunderstandings as a result of the spellscale that was a sex bard...So many... But my marriage to the paladin lasted a long time (for humans) until he died in old age. Magic couldn't rescue him any longer, and I was preparing to bury him. That's when Tetsu appeared with his magical lamp and whisked us away to wherever we are.

All I know is that it was some sort of mystical lamp, one that looked like it housed a genie or djinn. Tetsu had done something to it, and it was spewing out this smoky mist that was filling the area. We awoke in the middle of a cornfield, not a particularly attractive one, as the sun began to set. We found our way out and traveled through a few fields, catching a peek of the farmers. Something tells me we won't fit in as well here, and that makes me nervous.

We did, however, seek refuge in an old, abandoned barn and dispatched Tetsu to fetch us food, as we did not want to take from the farmers. Their crops didn't appear to be doing well, and they appeared to be struggling to feed their family. The community itself appears to be struggling. I saw glimpses of that strange mist, which made the farmers nervous. On the other hand, they appeared to be easily frightened. The region appeared to have had the color drained out of it and to be gloomy. I mean, it appears to be attempting to imitate the Shadowfell.

In any case, this isn't helping my mental state; I was already miserable and was transported to a dismal location. I'm not prepared for this, at least not right now. Can I mourn my husband's death in peace? Can I lay him to rest? Can I spend time with my newborn son? Sure, I'd never been on a quest with Merlin before. Could it be postponed? At the very least, till I get better? So I'm not a hopeless mess of a sister?

Sure, some long-lived races might consider my spouse to be a pet in terms of longevity. As a result, considering Levi as such... I can't because he was more than that and no longer exists on this plane. Despite the fact that I had his weapon on me when we were teleported here. At the very least, I can find some solace in that. Puddin', his weapon, is an intelligent weapon with a particular fondness for oozes. He served us well and kept my spouse safe. I wasn't sure who was going to receive Puddin', but for the time being, he's with me. Not that I had the time to think about it.

So, while Tetsu was away, Merlin and I were left to our own devices. . Me, worrying to death over Tetsu, by the door. Merlin was preoccupied with preparing his bed for the night. We eventually broke the quiet and discussed our dilemma. I honestly believe Merlin was prompted to speak out after my pacing back and forth. In any case, it forced us to have an essential talk during which Merlin was able to vent. I don't blame him for being irritated with Tetsu; I am as well. So we'll see how this plays out.

Tetsu did return, although without food, but not empty-handed. Rosavalda and Thornboldt Durst seemed to be with him. They were human children, but not the same kind of human, I'm used to. I'm not sure if their family tampered with the Shadowfell and this is the outcome, or if this is a local human. I mean, I saw typical humans on the fields. Normal by my standards.

It didn't take long for Merlin and Tetsu to clash. During the squabbling, I discovered that the children had fled the house, leaving their baby brother behind. A monster in the basement had seized the house, and their parents were meant to destroy the monster. They never returned, unfortunately, and the monster could be heard throughout the home. They were too terrified to return to the residence until the problem was resolved. No one believed them, and it was chalked up to children being scared of the boogeyman. So, after soothing the kiddos and waiting for my brothers, we're heading to the children's home. For their sake, I hope this is just one huge misunderstanding.
