Shizune cursed loudly as the hand-held device gave her a busy tone. She had been trying to call Rin for the last couple of hours, but could not reach her at all. Her heart was beating anxiously as she prayed that her sister would at least see her missed calls.

Kabuto had started preparing for the journey of seeking her sister out, and her father was not stopping the man. And this prompted Shizune to confront her father.

"You never explained why you always prohibited Rin from achieving her dreams," Shizune said angrily, following her father around their home.

"Your sister doesn't know what she's getting herself into," Homura said, which only frustrated Shizune even more.

"She's an adult! Why are you treating her like a child? You holding her back is not going stop her from doing what she wants-"

"She's just going to get hurt!"

"Wh-What do you mean-"

"Maybe it's time we told Shizune the truth," Koharu said softly as she walked towards him.

Homura made a face, and Shizune raised her eyebrows while facing her dad. "What truth? What are you two talking about?"

Her parents remained silent for a while, before Koharu spoke up. "Rin...isn't your...biological sister,"

"She's….not?"

"No,"

"Then…?"

"Your father found her back when he explored the skies...He found her deep in the caves,"

They had ditched the ship on a small planet, and proceeded with exploring. The planet they landed on was nothing but tall buildings.

Rin analyzed the area with wide eyes, an overwhelming yet exciting feeling coursing through her body. There were flying buses going around, large holograms displayed in the sky. One hologram showed a romantic film, while another advertised some drinks.

Holding her hand, Obito led her to a small restaurant. Which Rin was grateful for. She was very hungry. Obito ordered two plates of chicken katsu and rice, and Rin tried her best to somehow muffle the sound of her stomach growling. Obito paid the man before leading her to an empty booth. She sat on one end and he sat next to her, and Rin couldn't help but smile. She was glad that he was next to her instead of across.

"Thank you for bringing us here," she said.

"I figured you would be hungry. I know I am,"

"Where are the others?" she asked. Obito had spoken with Deidara briefly. She had expected for them to be picked up. But instead, Obito led her through the city before now sitting in the restaurant.

"Completing a small mission. They'll be here when they're done,"

"Isn't it required for you to be there? Since you're captain,"

A woman placed two plates in front of them, and Rin gently pulled the plate closer to her.

"They can handle it," Obito replied, grabbing his chopsticks, "Besides, I prefer this,"

Rin spoke after taking her first bite, "You mean our date?"

That had him rubbing the back of his head, and she quickly remembered the Obito from two years ago.

"Yes, our first of many dates,"

"I wish I was dressed more appropriately then,"

"You look fine to me,"

"That's because you can't stop looking at my legs,"

She noticed his face turn a ting of pink and laughed.

"That dress is distracting," he said lowly, and Rin rolled her eyes with a smile.

They continued eating, both of them feeling better and more energetic. Rin's ankle didn't hurt as much, same with the other minor bruises she had when escaping Lucifer. She thought about the criminal again, and looked at Obito.

"Do you think Kakuzu killed him after we left?"

"He did. Deidara told me what happened after they picked him up. They're going to drop off Lucifer's body at the Intergalactic Station and collect the money there,"

"Kinda glad not to be in a ship with a dead body…" she said, remembering how violent Kakuzu had been when he finally got his hands on Lucifer. She forced her brain not to re-think about the bloody mess. "Will the rest of the missions be like this?"

"Dangerous? Yes. I don't think Minato told you about the type of missions my team and I do," he said.

She gulped, "Is that...how you learned how to fight?"

His body structure was different from how she remembered him. He had more muscles, and his facial features were sharper.

"The missions we go on are all risky. We get assigned things that most teams do not,"

"Then I should really learn how to defend myself?"

"I don't want you being part of any mission," he told her, facing her and grabbing her hand. "I can't risk anything happening to you,"

"What if it's to help-"

"No. If I'm on the field and you get hurt, I won't be able to get to you," He then leaned his face closer to hers, "Rin… Please promise me one thing,"

"Uh-huh?"

"Be safe, for me. There's a lot of dangerous people and monsters out there, and I can't risk losing you. Especially now..." he paused for a moment before smiling, "...Now that you're with me…"

"OK," she offered him a smile.

They heard a vibration, and Obito pulled back. He took out the small device, and within seconds Deidara's face appeared in a hologram.

"Oi, Obito! We just finished dropping Lucifer's body. Send me your location so we can get you two,"

Obito nodded once, pressing some buttons on the controller of his sleeve. In the meantime, Deidara's small face turned around, and he smirked at Rin before looking around.

"Oh, are you two on a date?"

"I just sent you the coordinates," Obito said, ignoring his question.

"We'll be there in ten minutes," Deidara said before turning back to Rin, "So how's the first date going?"

Rin giggled, "It's going well,"

Deidara's eyebrows raised, "Wait, are you two actually going ou-"

"Call me when you get here," Obito interrupted him and disconnected the call.

"We may get questions from your team," Rin said softly as she sipped her water and looked at him from the corner of her eyes.

"We don't have to tell them anything yet. But if Deidara's suspicious, so will everybody else,"

"Is it illegal to be in a relationship while being part of the same team?"

He paused for a second before replying, "It's not recommended… But there are teams who've gotten away with it. Things can go wrong if someone's distracted because they have a significant other onboard,"

"I see… It makes sense why you don't want me getting involved with missions," Rin said softly, and he grabbed her chin with his fingers.

"I've been thinking about this moment for over two years… This moment of you and I together… And the last thing I want is seeing you get seriously hurt. Lucifer could've killed you at the club, and I wouldn't have been able to do anything. I don't want you risking your life like that every again, even if it's for me or the team,"

Rin held his hand and nodded, "I'll be very careful then…"

They finished eating just as the team's ship landed on an empty area. Obito grabbed her hand, and the two walked towards the aircraft just as the door began to slowly open. Kisame and Zetsu stood by the entrance, smirking at them.

"You two took your sweet time," Kisame said with a teasing tone.

"We were hungry," Obito replied casually, but that didn't stop the older male from taking things further.

"You two must've had one heck of a meal to have taken this long… Hehehe…"

Rin ignored his teases as she headed towards her room, her mind on the hot shower and long nap she had planned. Her muscles and her feet ached.

Once she was in her room, she grabbed her items and hurried to the restroom while the males chatted about the next mission. Her shower was longer than usual, and she was glad for the privacy. Despite the bathroom being large and every shower and toilet having its own door for privacy, she preferred to be inside alone. The only time another crew member used the bathroom while she had been inside was when Kakuzu had to, according to his own words, take a dump. And that, of course, had Rin rushing out of there.

With her shower complete, Rin headed back to her bedroom. As much as she wanted to work on her research, she decided that her nap was more important at the moment. A small pink flower was on her pillow case, and a small note was seen underneath it. She could already figure who the gift was from.

And with a wide smile, she grabbed the flower before opening the small note. Her heart beat anxiously as she read the message.

Come to my room when you're done resting… I want to spend more time with you…

Rin laid on her bed and closed her eyes while hugging the note. She placed the flower next to her head. And as much as she wanted to figure out how he even got the flower, she decided to let her mind take a break.

Over a decade ago… or Two…

Most of his team members were injured, and Homura could see how one person had been killed. A sharp rock protruded through his body, the man's eyes wide as blood trickled down his mouth.

A movement was heard, and one of the soldiers screamed.

"There's a black shadow right there! It's coming towards us!"

The crew started to shoot wildly, fear running through their vines as the black figure was able to dodge it all. It then grabbed one of the men and threw him aside, before attacking the other.

"..Sh-Shit…" Danzo said, turning around and running away as more of the crew were attacked.

"Wait!" Homura said, following his friend closely behind.

They ran further away from the gunfire, navigating through the dark tunnels.

"We need to get out of here!" Danzo screamed, using his gun to create an exit for them.

But the area he shot didn't lead to the exit he hoped for. Instead it led to a dimly lit room, where a woman with white long hair and robes stood. Near her were multiple cribs, the cries of infants echoing throughout the room.

"...What the…" Homura mouthed to himself, seeing the small hands of the infants in each of their cribs. They only wore a diaper.

The pale woman suddenly rose, prompting Danzo to fire the first shot….
