I am looking at myself in the mirror it is Monday I have to go into work my ob appointment was on Friday night. I have the ultrasound in my back pocket I feel like I just want to have it with me. I look at myself again I am starting to pop out just a little bit just a tiny bit. I just look like I had a extra bowl of cereal but I know it is more than that.

I get to office I get in the elevator. Van Pelt walks up I hold it open as it closes, I feel a need to tell her I need to tell someone I can't tell Jane or anyone else. I say "I need to talk to you in my office." I say we walk into my office I close the door and I say "I went to the doctors" my voice is low. She races her eyebrows.

"And?" she asked I take the ultrasound out my pocket and hand it to her.

I look I stand behind her and point saying "1 and 2" her jaw drops.

"TWINS?" she says in a lowered shout.

"I am not telling anyone yet. Please don't tell anyone not even Rigsby." I speak.

"When are you going to tell people? And What about jane he is going to know he will figure it out."

"I will tell people when I clearly start to show. As for Jane I can hide things from him he does not have to know anything. Now come one before they all think we are plotting against them." I take the ultrasound back putting it back in my pocket and walk out the office.

In the bull pen Cho and Rigsby are playing cards with Jane. Jane looks up I know he knows something is up. The phone rings Cho picks it up. "Boss we have a missing person. Works in a big company has connections we are stuck with it." We split up and Jane gets in the van with me.

"I thought you were going with the guys?" I was hoping to get some time alone to think.

"What are you not telling me?" god he knows. I can't think of what to say.

"nothing." I say not sure what to tell him.

"Ok I will find out myself."

We keep driving when we pass a gas station and then another and then I needed to puck. Why could I not need to at the 3-gas station we passed. I pull over the car and got out to puck on the side of the road. I start to puck and as I am, I feel the ultrasound be pulled out my pocket I wanted to say something, but I couldn't do anything but puck once I finish. I was scared to look back at Jane, but I knew I needed to. I turn around and see him staring at it. I remember that I cut my name of it just in case. I breath. "Give that back." I say Jane did not move.

"Your pregnant." He says I am thinking of excuses "Why did you not tell me." I am now angry what was it his place to get mad at me for not telling him anything.

"First I don't have to tell you anything." I say grabbing the picture back. "Second I am not pregnant it is my brother's wife's he sent it over to me." I hope that the excuse will work.

"Ok" he says I know he does not believe me why would he. We ride in silence for the rest of the way. We get close and I can't do this.

"Fine I am pregnant. Ok. I am pregnant with twins. Walters is the dad. And I am not going to tell him. I don't know what to do. I am scared. I am not ready." I start to cry. I hate hormones. I pull the car over. I get out the car. I sit on the ground. Jane comes up and sits next to me. He puts his arms around me.

"It is ok. It is going to be ok. I am here."

"Please don't tell anyone."

"I am not going tell anyone." He looks at me. "but you need to promise me 2 things." I can't with this man.

"What?"

"No more secrets and you keep yourself safe you can do you job and all but you keep those little ones safe you always keep a vest on for me." He looks at my belly I do to.

"Ok" I say knowing that he is right. We get back in the car he asks me about how I am feeling and he is so caring. God his so kind. We get to the house. It is huge. Has to have at least 50 rooms. "Wow" I say as we walk towards the house. "What have we got?" I ask Cho knowing they got here early then us. With all our stops.

"16-year-old girl Maddie. Went missing from her bedroom 3 days ago. No one has seen her since then." Cho says.

"Have we had a Ransom demand?" I ask thinking this is probably about money.

"No but we are expecting one."

"Ok me and Jane will talk with the family." I look around where is Jane. "Anyone seen Jane." I walk in to the house checking all of the rooms I enter the girls bedroom and see him standing there. "Jane?"

"She left on her own will. But we need to find her she is not safe." I know I need to look over all the possibilities but I also trust Jane.

"Ok I will bite. Why do you say that?"

"It looks like she did not take anything right."

"Yes"

"She had some money hidden it is now gone." He points at the top of her dresser and I see a bill shaped indent in the dust on top of her dresser. I know what that means.

"Ok so lets say she left on her own means why and how do you know she is not safe?" I ask praying he will tell me. Instead, he walks out. I go to start talking to the family I talk to the mom and dad.

"When was the last time you saw your daughter?" I ask.

"Friday morning, she left for school." Her mom says.

"Was there anything different about her anything out of the ordinary?"

"She has been moody lately staying in her room a lot." I talk to them more asking about boy friends and all that. She does not have a boyfriend. She was a loner did not have many friends. I wonder why it was not reported earlier. I know we have missed the most important 48 hours.

"Grace checks out the finances. Cho you and Rigsby check out the friends. I think she has a boyfriend. I am going to look at the room again I feel like I am missing something." I walk back into the house and into her room. I put my gloves on and look around the room again. It is a bit of a mess clothes on the floor nothing abnormal. I look around some more. Then I think to check the places I would hide things as a teen. I am looking around the room when I see that one of the posters has a weird bump out. I take the poster of the wall and see taped behind it is a locket with a note. I open the note and it says, 'I will call you.' I get it to forensics. I get a search party planed. As I leave to find Jane, I get a call.

"Boss" it is Rigsby "We have confirmation on a boyfriend texting you the address now."

"OK me and Jane will check it out." Where is Jane? I walk out the house and see the van is gone. I call him. "Where the hell are you? We need to check out the boyfriend. Get here now." I sit down thinking. Then I see the van pull up. I get in, Jane hands me a plastic bag.

"Open it." he says.

"It is important you abandoned me."

"I did not abandon you I came back." I open the bag there are 2 big colorful pill bottles.

"You got me pills?" I ask a little annoyed.

"No. I got you prenatal vitamins." I smile of course he did. I hide my smile.

"thanks, but we are on a case you cannot just walk of. A girl is missing. I know-"my phone starts to ring

"We got a ransom demand" Van Pelt says

"ok we will be there in 10 minutes hold them off." I put the phone down and tell Jane what has happened. I put foot down, I know we need to get there fast so I go fast. I can see the panic in his eyes.

We get there the ransom demand is for 3 million dollars. The message reads 'I have Maddie. Bring me 30 million dollars at wall creek park in 2 hours if not she dies' the first thing I notice is we have no proof of life. "Ask for proof of life" I say to Van Pelt. We get a reply with a photo of her tied up but alive. "track it" I say to Van Pelt.

"On it boss." Jane walks up behind me and looks at the photo.

"She is dead." I look at the photo again and then I see it. Her hands rigor mortis is starting to set in. Fuck. Now we have a dead girl. I am staving. I need to start retracing her steps. First, I need to get some doughnuts. These god dang kids. After I get some doughnuts, I take Jane and we go to talk to the boyfriend as we drive I feel like Rigsby after eating 2 donuts. We get to the boyfriend's house sit down with him.

"When was the last time you saw Maddie?" I ask.

"3 days ago we were leaving school she said bye and that was the last time a saw her." Mark replies

"What are you not telling us?" Jane asks.

"Nothing" Mark replies. Oh god of course there was a something we were not being told. "Fine. She was looking at apartments. We are looking to move away. She is pregnant.

What the hell this all felt like a joke like this was some messed up trick. I looked at Jane he was about as shocked as I was and that is saying something. I ask for more info like tones of it, but it was like he was fully in the dark. Men. After I get as much out of him as I could me and Jane get in the van both shocked. I call Van Pelt and let her know about the updates I tell her to look more into Maddie's finances. "If she was looking at moving out or buying a apartment she had to have money somewhere. I don't know anyone who would let a 16 year old buy a apartment all in cash." I tell her. I hang up and look at Jane. I just feel like everything that I do is wrong I feel like crying.

"It is going to be ok I promise it is all going to be ok." Jane says and I know it is true. We got a address of the realter from the boyfriend and that's where we go. As we get closer, I see the office. It is a old building that has a little sign on it that reads 'Ricks Realters' we enter and a little bell rings

"Hello, I am Agent Lisbon this is my colleague Jane. Are you Rick?" I ask after flashing my badge.

"Yes, I am rick how can I help you?" I show a picture of Maddie.

"Have you seen this girl?"

"Yes. She came to me looking for an apartment. Nice girl, pretty." We talk with him more and I realize that we need a plan. Me and Jane get back to the bull pen. When we get there, we get another message from are killer '1 hour then she dies' I look at Jane I know he has a plan. We talk and set it into motion. We are going to meet the killer and arrest him if he is who we think then we will get are body if not then we will use the tracker. I go to the park. I have a vest on under my jacket making me feel stupid. I drop the bag and walk of I put the camera under the bag as well. I see Cho and Rigsby in position. I know how this goes. We wait and finally someone picks up the bag it is the realter. I get a call Van Pelt she has found a property that matches what we are looking for that is linked to Mark. We get in the van and head to the house as we get there, I know that it is the place. We pull up and I get out the van and draw my gun. Signaling at Cho to bang the door in he does, and I gasp there are somewhere around 30 girls in the house all afraid after we know the building is clear I tell Cho and Rigsby to leave. I know that Cho and Rigsby are strong men and that can be scary in the position that these girls are in. I show my badge and look at each of the girls. Me and Grace talk to about 25 of them getting them out the house making them feel safe I pick up on a clear M.O. all of the girls are 16 and most are pregnant except for a few who held baby's the paramedics are talking with them all there are a few girls left about 3 those are the ones that aren't clearly pregnant I assume they are based on the pattern. I sit down next to one of the girls and she just hugs me shaking. I tell her what I told all the girls telling her that I will take her home and that everything was going to be ok that she is safe. She looks at me and then speaks.

"I am pregnant you know. I can't go home." It breaks my heart.

"I know there are people who love you I know there are people who miss you there is someone who needs you. I know it is scary and I know it is hard but" I point to her belly. "that little one in their needs you to be strong I know you are strong. I know how you feel alone like the whole world is against you." I rub my own belly. "I know you feel like you did something horrible you did not. You are amazing and strong and there are people who love you and want more than anything for you to be happy." She cries and so do I. "let's get you home" I say leading her out. After all the girls are being checked and having statements taken, I look around the room at the blood and the body of our girl. I cry. I feel a hand rest on my shoulder. Jane. I smile I know he is going to be there for me.

Back at the bull pen after a silent ride I enter the interview room I see that monster Rick sitting there I look at him and demand a explanation but I don't need one. I know what happened he posed as a doctor a realest agent on online sites to lure these girls and guarantee they were pregnant it is sick I have him charged and leave the room to start to fill out forms.

About a month goes by full of open and shut cases I look in the mirror and it is clear that my breasts are bigger I have moved up a cup size and that my jeans are getting a bit tighter. I notice it know it feels like it has happened over night. I realize that Cho and Rigsby must be starting to notice and I decide to take some old hidden mics I have I go into the office at 5 am and set them up so I can hear what they are saying I know I am paranoid, but I hope it will settle my fears. I decide to go get doughnuts for the team because I want doughnuts. I go out and get them and get back to see that Rigsby and Cho have shown up. It was thanksgiving and I feel like I had not seen them in weeks even though it had only been 4 days. As I enter, I see them look me up and down. Clearly taken aback by the change in my figure. I set the doughnuts down and say "Help yourself" I eat a doughnut as Grace and Jane arrives. I can see that Jane and Grace notice as well but are not as shocked. I greet them and take another doughnut and go into my office. I look at the cable that I have to plug in to be able to hear what they are saying it feels wrong, but I do not know what else to do because my confidence is way down, and I need to know. I plug it in and start to listen. I listen for 20 minutes as I am doing more paperwork and they do not say anything. I crave another doughnut. I decide I am feeding 3 humans I can have 3 doughnuts. I walk in and grab one.

"Hungry" I hear Rigsby say and I give him a look and laugh I then hear the phone ring I pick it up and I know immediately that this is not going to be an open and shut case. Me and Van Pelt ride in the van making jokes I say that I am going to need a new vest. As we drive up, I recognize the house as Walters.
