Summary: Now inside one of Paradise City's hospitals, Aoi learns even more information about the aftermath after her adventure, all while recovering from her recent injuries. However not everyone gets to rest like she does...

"This is... Den City!"

Episode 2 - Tough Recovery

...

Pure black.

That was all Aoi saw before waking up in an unfamiliar hospital room, surrounded by a few doctors and Akira. The girl looked down to see her right arm was still missing.

"Where... where are we?", asked the girl weakly.

"You're in Paradise City, Pendulum dimension", explained one of the doctors. "More specifically, in Paradise Hospital."

"Pendulum... I feel like I heard it somewhere before...", trailed off the girl.

"It's named after Pendulum summoning."

"I see..."

"Are you okay, Aoi?", asked Akira, holding Aoi's left hand with both of his. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm a little hurt, but I'm fine", meekly smiled the girl. "Especially now that I can see you again."

"Yeah", smiled Akira, holding Aoi's hand firmly. He then added with a somber voice, "I'm sorry for not noticing what you felt back at Den City, I should have known you weren't in the best of mental states, and yet..."

"No, I'm sorry for leaving you like that, big brother", spoke up Aoi, the older brother looking at her. "I should have reached out to you back then, maybe then we could have figured something out."

"Maybe...", trailed off the older brother. "But that's in the past now. What matters is that we're together again, and I'll make sure to pay more attention to you from now on."

Aoi gave a warm smile at her brother. "I can tell you're not lying."

Akira's expression changed into that of curiosity. "Oh, you mean to tell me you know when I lie?"

"In poker, yes", joked the girl softly before both siblings began laughing. The room's atmosphere suddenly felt much lighter than before.

...

"You're worried, aren't you?"

Yuya looked up, interrupted from his thoughts, before turning to face Yuzu. She had a concerned face, and he could tell it was directed at him.

Both teens were inside one of Paradise Hospital's hallways, just outside Aoi's room. Claude patiently sat in a bench a few feet away from them.

"A little", Yuya admitted, getting himself off from leaning to the wall. "That injured girl, I could tell she had to do with what happened to our dimensions."

"Yeah, Ray told me and my counterparts the same thing", Yuzu added.

"Wait, you guys talked to Ray?"

"Yeah, it happened after the light consumed us", the pink-haired girl answered. She then widened her eyes in realization. "Wait, did you and your counterparts talk with Zarc?"

"Yes, actually", he responded. "He told us that we would see him again soon."

"Really?", asked Yuzu, the pendulum duelist nodding. The Melodious duelist then added, "Ray told us something similar, too."

"I see...", Yuya mused, going back to more silence.

Both teens remained in a state of apoplexy for a while, until the tomato-haired duelist suddenly spoke up, "Also, I can't feel Yuto, Yugo, or Yuri inside me anymore. It's almost as if they left me."

"Same with me", Yuzu added. "After talking with Ray, I couldn't feel my counterparts either."

"Could it be because we're not inside you anymore?"

A teasing, familiar voice jolted both Pendulum dimension individuals in surprise.

That voice!

Yuya turned behind him to see a purple-haired teen with a matching solider-like uniform, sporting a similar yet venom-laced face.

"Yuri!", Yuya ran up to the guy and hugged him, much to the other counterpart's surprise.

"Whoa there, big guy, give me some space", Yuri gently pushed the tomato-haired duelist away from him. "I rather like my personal space, thank you very much."

"What personal space?", asked Yugo closely from behind the Fusion user. "Because you know I never give you any!"

"Yugo!", shouted Yuzu.

"It not only affected us", Yuto spoke from behind Yugo, Yuzu's other three counterparts appearing behind the Dark Rebellion duelist.

"It's you guys!", Yuzu shouted happily before getting into a group hug with the rest of Ray's incarnates.

Claude couldn't believe what he was seeing in front of him, he had to notify Declan about this revelation.

As Claude spoke into a walkie talkie, Yugo told Yuri, "See, they are hugging, why can't we?"

"Because we're not them", responded Yuri, flicking the Speedroid duelist's forehead. "And I already said I like my personal space."

"Well, too bad!", pouted Yugo before hugging him, Yuri trying to get him off with an annoyed expression.

"Alright guys, that's enough", Yuto spoke from behind them, before speaking to Yuya, "Do you think Zarc was honest when he said he would come back?"

"I don't see a reason why he would lie about that", Yuya noted. "I'm not sure if he'll be freed from his evil if he revives, but there's no guaranteeing."

"Yeah...", agreed the XYZ counterpart, before both him and Yuya continued to look at both Yuri and Yugo bickering about.

...

After a few moments, Aoi asked her older brother, "What are they going to do about my right arm?"

"I don't know, to be honest", Akira said. "Revolver called me a few moments ago, and told me that the guy named 'Z-ONE' was coming here."

"Really?", asked Aoi, before thinking of the giant man-machine. How would he even fit into the hospital?

Suddenly, a knock rang through the hospital door, one of the nurses running up to open it.

"I'm sorry sir, but we were given orders to not let anyone inside", spoke the lady to what appeared to be an old man. Both Zarc and Ray's incarnates stood silent at watching the old man, who seemed to carry some sort of vibe with him.

Claude stood up from behind the man, "Declan gave him permission to enter."

"I see... Then come inside", the nurse opened the door completely, letting the old man walk into the room.

Aoi narrowed her eyes at the senior as soon as he entered her field of view. He had overly-wrinkled skin, black droopy hair, and a yellow mark running across the left side of his face. He also wore what appeared to be a long, white lab coat, and a golden, mechanical halo floating horizontally behind him.

"Who are you?", asked Akira.

"...I'm Z-ONE", the man spoke in that same artificial voice, both Zaizen siblings' eyes widening in shock. "I surgically changed my appearance into a more suitable one thanks to Declan. That way I can operate and do tasks as a humanoid without worrying about size."

"...What really are you?", asked Aoi.

"A cyborg from the future, someone who wanted to save humanity from extinction by completely eradicating Neo Domino City and Synchro monsters", stated the man truthfully, both siblings confused at his words. "However, that's not why I came here. Declan also gave me permission to offer you something."

"What is it?", asked Aoi worriedly, now wary of Z-ONE being a past villain.

However, the old man noticed this, and only responded with a neutral, yet peaceful expression. "I can assure you I have no reason for eradication anymore. Thanks to someone opening my eyes, I now have hope that humanity can create their own hopeful future."

Z-ONE then sat down at a nearby chair, directly across Akira. He crossed his arms and took a small breath before answering, "...I want to give your sister a prosthetic arm."

"...Huh?", asked Aoi with surprise.

"You serious?", asked Akira, the cyborg nodding in response. "...How much will it cost?"

"The procedure will be completely free", Z-ONE answered. "In behalf of Declan, we want to thank your sister for what we consider an opportunity, to help humanity across all dimensional scales."

"You mean what I did with the Numeron Code?", asked Aoi.

"What's that?", asked Akira.

"An omnipotent card that can grant any wish, and alter reality", Z-ONE answered. "Your sister used it three times, and by doing so joined all dimensions together and revived almost everyone who once died, all at once."

Akira then took a moment to register what he just heard, before the cyborg turned to Aoi, "What we want to know is how you managed to use it. Back in my dimension I deduced that an ordinary human burns from touching it."

Aoi widened her eyes at the revelation, Don Thousand said the same thing back in Jaden's dimension. So he wasn't lying, after all.

"Well, I had certain things helping me", stated the brunette, Z-ONE taking note of her words.

"Describe them to me."

"Well, first off, Jaden gave me his powers, and I can talk to Duel Monster spirits", Aoi stated, before asking, "Wait, I want to see if I still have them; Where is my Deck?"

"...I don't actually know", Akira answered. "I'm sorry, but it wasn't with you back at the stadium."

"Dammit."

"Use my Deck, then", Z-ONE gave his stack of cards to the brunette. "See if you can hear anything."

Aoi nodded, before taking Z-ONE's Deck and momentarily studying it. High-Level fairy monsters, seemed too bricky. The girl them closed her eyes and began clearing her mind. The only thing she focused on was ok trying to communicate with the Deck's Duel monsters.

Please, let this work...

...

More black.

Suddenly, the girl opened her eyes to find herself floating in front of a giant, armored being of light, sporting a human face in its front. Surrounding them was nothing but darkness once again.

"What is that...?", tried asking the girl.

Sephylon, the Ultimate Timelord

Level 12 LIGHT Fairy Effect Monster

4000 ATK, 4000 DEF

"It's huge...", was all the girl thought, estimating the monster to be way bigger than Don Thousand's Numeronius. Whatever she was looking at looked like a god.

The armored being did not move its lips, and yet it spoke, "State your presence."

"...A-Aoi Zaizen", began the girl, doing her best to keep her composure. "I wanted to test if I could still talk to Duel Monsters spirits. And, and it looks like I can."

From behind Sephylon appeared more Timelords, smaller than the previous creature but still exceedingly large.

Metaion, the Timelord; Level 10 FIRE Fairy Effect Monster; 0 ATK, 0 DEF

Michion, the Timelord; Level 10 FIRE Fairy Effect Monster; 0 ATK, 0 DEF

Raphion, the Timelord; Level 10 WIND Fairy Effect Monster; 0 ATK, 0 DEF

Gabrion, the Timelord; Level 10 WATER Fairy Effect Monster; 0 ATK, 0 DEF

"I'm sorry if I was interrupting anything", tried bowing the girl before closing her eyes. "If you don't mind, I'll be leaving."

"A moment, please", Michion raised its hand, Aoi looking up in curiosity. "You came here from Z-ONE's accord, correct?"

"Yes, why?", asked the brunette.

"...Send him our gratification", spoke up Michion. "For everything."

"I see, I'll do that", nodded the girl before closing her eyes again, now trying to focus on her hospital room's image.

"Remain safe...", was the last of Sephylon she could hear before it all suddenly went void...

...

The brunette woke up to see everyone looking at her with shock, with the exception of Z-ONE who simply took note of how she looked like.

"What happened?", asked the girl.

"Your eyes", explained Akira. "They're glowing."

"Huh?"

"A hand mirror", Z-ONE requested, one of the doctors waking up from their stupor and giving the cyborg the glass. The old man then held up the mirror to Aoi's face. "Look."

The girl took the mirror to study herself, and surely enough, her eyes were radiating a bright blue.

But that wasn't all. She was quick to notice blue lightning sparks manifesting everywhere through her body.

"I...I still have my powers", noted the brunette.

Akira could only fall silent as he saw his sister reawaken her abilities.

"I see", noted Z-ONE as he leaned back. "Anything of importance?"

"...Your monsters", began the girl as he gave the cyborg his deck back. "They want to thank you."

"Really?", asked Z-ONE, momentarily surprised. He then asked, "So Duel Monster spirits have feelings?"

The girl nodded.

"I see", the cyborg quickly noted before standing up and giving Akira the same card Declan gave him. "Here's the address for where I'll be waiting to give your sister the operation. I hope you two accept my proposal."

"I still don't get why you want to do this for me", Aoi said truthfully.

"...I earlier stated on behalf of Declan, but you can also consider this act as a thanks of my own", Z-ONE said. "Because of you, I get to see humanity grow for myself". He then walked out of the room, leaving both siblings and the doctors on their own.

...

"Am I sure I heard that right?", asked Declan into a walkie talkie, both him and his guard unit now at Den City. With this, everyone was back into their proper dimension, the only dimension with sudden electrical problems being Heartland.

The CEO was taking his time in studying the new dimensions in detail, as well as revising existing dimensions to see what changed, until Claude told him that apparently both Zarc and Ray and coming back.

"Yes, sir; Yuya and Yuzu have confirmed they were coming, right after the dimensional scramble", explained the other man, still at the hospital with all 8 incarnates. "And that's not all, they have split up; There's now 4 of Yuya Sakaki and Yuzu Hiragi!"

This must mean the other counterparts now have their own bodies, Declan mused as he held his head, now aware he had more problems to take of.

"...I see; Keep a close eye on them for now, Claude", the D/D/D duelist ordered, making sure to keep a clam expression. "I'll tell you when to come back."

"Very, well sir."

And just like that, the CEO turned off his walkie talkie. He then looked up to see what appeared to be a tall corporate building.

"SOL Technologies, huh..."

...

"I didn't know you had powers, Aoi...", awed Akira at Aoi, who was still studying herself in the hand mirror. She noticed she had a small scar above her eye. It was probably from the strain she gave her body back then.

She'll have to cover that later.

"Well, while I was away in the other dimension, there was a Duel Academy graduate named Jaden Yuki. He traveled the world in search of an adventure", Aoi explained as she returned the hand mirror to one of the doctors.

"He taught me to have confidence in myself again, and to duel to give others a message", the brunette added, now facing her older brother. "My message is to want to save others, big brother."

The entire room felt silent at her words. This momentarily worried Aoi until:

"I'm glad that's the conclusion you came to", finally spoke Akira, putting his hand on Aoi's shoulder. "I'm still confused and worried by what's happening, but I can tell that you've gotten better at holding your own."

The girl had a nonplussed expression, before forming a soft smile, holding her older brother's hand on her shoulder with her own.

"Big brother..."

"Don't expect me to leave you alone often like I used to, though", smiled the older brother. "Just because you've gotten stronger doesn't mean I'll keep my eye off of you. I'll be sure to spend more time with you."

"I'll be looking forward to that."

Both siblings remained in silence, until Akira's phone suddenly rang.

"Oh, sorry Aoi; Give me a moment", Akira stood up gently and answered the call.

"Sure", the brunette smiled, although she was sure that her brother was going to revert to working 24/7.

A few moments passed by after the call.

"Alright, thank you for the information", finished Akira before hanging up, before silently cursing himself and turning to face her sister, "SOL needs me for something urgent."

Figures, mused Aoi. She didn't drop her smile, and instead stated, "Go do what you need to do, big brother. I'll be fine."

"I know, but...", trailed off the older brother before falling silent. He really wanted to recover some time with his sister, but to think that SOL Technologies needed him so soon again...

"I'll be sure to spend some time with you later, Aoi", the older brother kissed her sister's forehead before standing up and turning to reach the door.

"...Big brother!", suddenly called out Aoi.

The older brother turned to face her sister.

"Can you tell Z-ONE that I accept the operation?", asked the brunette. Her left hand was hovering where her right arm should have been. "I kinda want a right arm back..."

The older brother got out his phone to show to his sister and said, "Will do", before finally leaving the room.

Now that Aoi was by herself again, she could only sigh at the fact that her brother was leaving to work so soon. At least this meant that life was going back to normal, right?

She didn't want to grow too gloomy at the thought, so she instead thought of someone else who passed by her mind earlier.

Jaden...

...

A red-jacket teen opened his eyes, and quickly stood up to survey his surroundings. He was in some sort of lush forest, a futuristic-looking city being noticeable in the distance.

Jaden Yuki.

He then read what appeared to be a hologram of a word, managing to spell out, "Den City."

This must be Aoi's dimension!, immediately noted Jaden. Before suddenly hearing a nearby bush shake.

"Eeergh...", rant out a hoarse voice from within the bush, yet one that sounded slightly artificial.

"Are you alright?", asked Jaden as he approached the bush.

However, he was quick to step back as what appeared to be a humanoid AI emerging from the lush greenery. In its wrist was a smaller, bandaged green AI with a red eye and jagged cape.

"Where... am I?", asked Windy as he surveyed the forest, before he saw a red-jacket human staring at him.

"You! What are you looking at?", barked Windy as he ordered his Echo AI to step back defensively.

"Nothing, I just wanted to help you!", answered Jaden as he raised his hands.

"Bah, as if I wanted help from a human!", Windy grimaced rudely.

"Hey, no need for the disrespect!", stated Jaden as he turned to pick up his nearby backpack. "I didn't do anything to deserve the heat!"

"Tch, as if I need a reason to give you humans a remark", Windy stated brashly. "You feeble beings are inferior, stupid, and too inresponsible to handle their own future. That's why Lightning planned for us AI to take over humanity."

"Wait what!?", asked Jaden.

"Now, where's that bastard Lightning?", Windy asked as he ordered Echo to begin walking, the humanoid passing by Jaden. "He better not think he's getting away with leaving me behind!"

"Hold on a moment!", Jaden spoke up, Echo still walking. "I won't let you endanger humanity just because of some belief you have! I'll make sure to stop you!"

"Oh really?", Windy asked, now ordering Echo to turn back. "Please, as if there was a human who even has the capability to stop me!"

The red-jacket teen then thought of an idea. He'll have to gamble for this.

"Is that so?", asked Jaden. "Then defeating me should be easy. Unless if you're too scared to duel, then I can see why you're avoiding a fight."

"Why you...!", seethed the green AI before approaching the red-jacket duelist with Echo. "Well if that's the case, then I can't refuse! Prepare to have a duel, you mongrel!"

Yes, it worked!

The ex-Duel Academy student then got out his Duel Disk from his backpack, until he noticed something curious. There were two different Decks inside his backpack.

The duelist got out both Decks to study it. One of them was his, and the other had Marincess monsters.

This must be Aoi's Deck, mused Jaden, putting it back inside his backpack to return it later. He then looked at his Deck to study any differences.

Wait, Sabatiel's effect is different!, Jaden noted as he begin reading the card, only to slightly cringe at the text. Oh, it was a little disappointing.

It would be better if you just left it in your pocket, spoke up another voice from inside his head.

Yubel!

You don't know how much I missed you, stated the demon inside his head. Jaden could tell the slight sadness behind her sentence. You better not go off and endanger yourself again, the demon added.

I can't guarantee that, smirked Jaden as he activated his Duel Disk. You know how I am.

Well, you have a point, Yubel smirked.

"Now, prepare to start praying!", Windy warned at the teen, Exho also manifesting a Duel Disk in mere seconds.

"DUEL!"

"DUEL!"

Windy's LP: 4000

Jaden Yuki's LP: 4000

...

Akira sat in an office chair, back at his office at SOL technologies, facing two certain individuals.

One of them was a familiar white-haired teen with lavender eyes.

Ryoken Kogami.

The other was a grey-haired teen with a red scarf.

Declan Akaba.

"You mean to tell me that in this dimension, people can change into virtual avatars and access an alternate network?", Declan asked Ryoken, pushing up his glasses.

"Indeed, although only the ones who have traveled across dimensions using their avatars can change freely", Ryoken explained, momentarily changing into Revolver and back to prove his point. He then got out a chip, "I can use this to generate blue portals within VRAINS, although they can only travel to one of our dimensions."

"Is that so?", asked Declan with slight intrigue.

"Why did you two call for an urgent meeting?", asked Akira, both individuals turning to face him.

"I want to form an offer with your company", Declan began as he sat down. "More namely, with this 'VRAINS network' you're using. I want to see if I can incorporate it into my dimension."

Akira then turned to look at Ryoken.

"Oh I'm just here because I was with him", the teen clarified.

Akira then sighed before turning to Declan, "Look, I understand why you want the network, but right now we're in the middle of reorganizing ourselves."

"That's why I offered you this deal in advance", the D/D/D duelist responded. "We can figure this out after the reconstruction, as we're also busy doing that in our dimension."

"I see", noted the SOL's CEO before standing up, "Well, for now, the offer is going to left on a no, but I may change decisions later on."

"Very well", Declan stood up to turn towards the door, "Then I'll return back to my dimension to continue reorganizing everything. Until then."

The LEO's CEO then left the office, leaving only Ryoken and Akira by themselves.

"And what about you?", asked Akira, turning to face the white-haired man.

"I said I was just with him, but in truth I came to ask you something else", Ryoken explained.

"What is it?", asked the CEO.

"...Where's Playmaker?"

...

"I won't be foolish enough to let a human go first again!", Windy began as he stated. "My turn!"

-(YuGiOh 5Ds Sound Duel 1: OST 22)-

"I begin by activating the effect of Stormrider Griffore from my hand!", began the green AI, Echo revealing the Cyberse monster in his hand. "If I control no monsters, I get to see your hand, and set one Spell/Trap card from said position!"

"My hand?", asked Jaden.

"Now show me your hand!"

The red-jacket teen had no choice but to flip his cards around for Windy to see them.

"Elemental HERO Blazeman, Super Polymerization, Tag Request, Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, and Necro Gardna...", studied Windy. He then stated, "In that case, I choose to set your Super Polymerization to the field!"

The ex-Duel Academy student had no choice but to set the chosen card face-down.

"And now, I special summon Stormrider Griffore to the field!", continued Windy, bringing out a magenta ship-like creature.

Stormrider Griffore; Level 4 WIND Cyberse Effect Monster; 1200 ATK, 800 DEF

"And next, I special summon Stormrider Hypogriff to the field, since you control a card in your Spell/Trap zones!", continued the AI, now bringing out a teal-colored ship.

Stormrider Hypogriff; Level 3 WIND Cyberse Effect Monster; 800 ATK, 1200 DEF

"And finally, I normal summon Stormrider Gargoyle", Windy declared as he brought out a purple ship with demonic features.

Stormrider Gargoyle; Level 2 WIND Cyberse Effect Monster; 600 ATK, 800 DEF

They're all Cyberse monsters..., noted Jaden as he studied the three monsters on the AI's field. This was oddly similar to Aoi's Deck, which was centered around single attribute-Cyberse monsters that gave way to Link summoning strategies.

If this little guy were to also Link Summon, then-

"I now set all 3 Stormrider monsters into the Link markers, and create my Link portal!", Windy chanted as his monsters vanished into green bursts of light, setting themselves into an overhead spinning portal.

"A Link Summon!?", asked Jaden with shock.

So you weren't wrong, complimented Yubel.

"Now appear, the circuit that rages before me!", Windy chanted, the Link Portal shining brightly before vanishing, "Link Summon!"

The Link portal's explosion gave way to a large ship of impressive size, large cannons displayed across all sides.

"Appear, Link 3, Stormridership Bahamut Bomber!",

Stormridership Bahamut Bomber; Link-3 WIND Cyberse Link Effect Monster; Bottom-Left, Down, and Bottom-Right Arrows; 2800 ATK

"Amazing...", trailed off the ex-Duel Academy student. He couldn't help but awe at the giant monster's appearance.

"Now I activate Bahamut Bomber's special ability!", exclaimed Windy. "When it's special summoned while I control no cards in my Spell/Trap zone, I get to destroy one card you control and deal you 500 points of damage!"

He means my Super Polymerization!, Jaden noted.

"Bahamut Bomber, blast away his face-down!", Windy ordered, Echo outstretching his hand. "FIRE!"

The giant Link monster shot a cannon ball through Jaden's Super Polymerization, creating a small explosion in his area.

"Hrrrghh!"

Jaden's LP: 4000 - 3500

"I then activate the Field Spell, Stormrider Turbulence!", Windy continued, ordering his Echo to activate said card from its hand. Upon activation, the entire forest began picking up wind, until eventually what looked to be a storm gathered at the center.

"Is... Is the card doing this!?", asked Jaden.

"And, due to Stormrider Turbulence's effect, my Stormrider monsters gain 300 ATK!", Windy added, his monster gaining ATK strength.

Bahamut Bomber's ATK: 2800 - 3100

"I now activate Stormrider Gargoyle's quick effect from my graveyard!", the green AI declared. "I get to banish this card to replace a Stormrider Field Spell with another one from my Deck!"

"You're getting rid of your own Field Spell?", asked Jaden.

"I send Stormrider Turbulence the graveyard!", Windy stated, his Bahamut Bomber temporarily decreasing in ATK. "To instead activate Stormrider Blast directly from my Deck!"

Bahamut Bomber's ATK: 3100 - 2800

This time, blue shards of sharp wind began manifesting from within the storm. The forest trees also began shaking frenetically from the harsh winds.

"And now, due to Stormrider Blast's field effect, all my Stormriders gain 400 ATK, plus with an additional 300 ATK for each Field Spell in my graveyard!", Windy explained with triumph.

"That makes 3500 ATK!", Jaden calculated immediately, mostly with Yubel's help.

"Well, don't you catch on quickly??", asked Windy condescendingly.

Bahamut Bomber's ATK: 2800 - 3200 - 3500

"I then activate the last card in my hand, Blustering Winds!", the green humanoid finalized. "My monster now gains an additional 1000 ATK, until my next Standby phase!"

"What!?"

Bahamut Bomber's ATK: 3500 - 4500

"And you must attack Bahamut Bomber due to Stormrider Blast's effect, should you control any puny monsters out on your field!", Windy laughed with arrogance. "I now end my turn!"

Windy's LP: 4000

Windy's hand size: 0 cards

-(End of OST)-

"You should have never challenged me in the first place, human!", the green AI sneered at the teen. "This is what happens when you think you stand a chance! Now draw your card!"

Jaden then smirked at his remark, Windy now slightly preoccupied.

"And what are you even smiling about!?", asked the AI.

"...You have a good field, and yet you're still so worked up about a duel", Jaden noted, now taking a more relaxed pose. He also retracted his hand from his Deck. "It almost sounds as if you're the one losing!"

"Idiot, you haven't even played a card yet!", pointed out the green AI.

"I know, but that's what's exciting about a duel."

"...Huh?"

"Sometimes you just can't predict what your opponent does", the red-jacket duelist explained before continuing, "My turn; I draw!"

Turn 2, Jaden's Turn, 6 Cards in hand, 4000 LP

-(Mario and Luigi: Dream Team - Victory in the Dream World!)-

"You fool, I'm an AI, I can predict anything that happens!", Windy exclaimed proudly.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that", smirked Jaden before starting, "I summon Elemental HERO Blazeman!"

Into the field stepped in a fiery masked warrior of red and orange.

Elemental HERO Blazeman; Level 4 FIRE Warrior Effect Monster; 1200 ATK, 1800 DEF

"I then fire up Blazeman's ability!", Jaden added, "I get to add Polymerization from my Deck to my hand!"

Upon doing so, the red-jacket duelist activated a Spell card, "Next I activate Graceful Charity! I get to draw three cards from my Deck and discard two from my hand!"

The ex-Duel academy student then studied his cards before saying, "I discard both Polymerization and Necro Gardna from my hand."

Jaden then sent said cards to his graveyard, before suddenly looking up to face Windy, "I then activate Pot of Greed! I now draw two more cards!"

Jaden then drew two more cards before continuing, "And now the Spell card, Convert Contact! Since I don't control any monsters, I get to discard a Neo-Spacian monster from both my hand and Deck to draw two more cards!"

"More card drawing!?"

Jaden then discarded both Flare Scarab from his hand and Air Hummingbird from his Deck, before drawing two more cards.

He then looked at the two new cards in his hand. Alright, this should do!

Windy then shouted at the human, "How about you actually begin playing the cards, bub! If there were people watching us, they'd probably be annoyed!"

"Then it's a good thing that I have no more means of card drawing", Jaden responded with a smirk, before continuing, "I now activate Miracle Contact! This lets me return the appropriate Fusion materials to the Deck to bring out a Neos Fusion monster!"

"A Fusion user, huh!?", Windy stated before stating, "In that case, I activate Bahamut Bomber's quick effect! I get to destroy your Spell, and deal you 500 more damage!"

More card destruction!, mused Jaden.

Brace yourself, warned Yubel with crossed arms.

"FIRE!", Windy ordered at his Cyberse monster, Bahamut's cannons once again pointing at Jaden's Spell. Another blast was then shot off, piercing through the Spell card and creating another small explosion.

"Tch!"

Jaden's LP: 3500 - 3000

"But... you never specified that it negates!", Jaden noted upon recovery. "Which in that case, the effect continues!"

"Hrrgh...", Windy seethed at his remark. He couldn't deny he was right.

"I now shuffle back both Neo-Spacians Grand Mole and Flare Scarab, as well as Elemental HERO Neos, back into the Deck!", Jaden stated, returning his three monsters. "To create a Triple Contact Fusion! Appear, Elemental HERO Magma Neos!"

Into the field appeared a large alien of white and green, with the black-colored head of a scarab and a left arm covered in rocks.

Elemental HERO Magma Neos; Level 9 FIRE Warrior Triple Contact Fusion Effect Monster; 3000 ATK, 2500 DEF

"Contact Fusion...?", awed Windy before speaking up, "Even so, that hard-headed monster of yours pales in comparison to my Bahamut Bomber and its 4500 ATK!"

"Yeah, it might", Jaden agreed. "But I'm not done yet. Magma Neos' effect! He gains 400 ATK for each card on the field!"

Number of cards on the field: 4 cards; Stormrider Blast, Stormridership Bahamut Bomber, Elemental HERO Blazeman, Elemental HERO Magma Neos

Magma Neos' ATK: 3000 - 4600

"It now has enough ATK to defeat Bahamut Bomber!", Windy noted. "But still, I can survive even with your attacks this turn!"

"Relax, I'm not done yet; I activate Neos Force!", the ex-Duel Academy student continued. "I get to send Fusion materials from the Deck to the graveyard to summon a Neos Fusion monster!"

"Another Fusion!?", asked the green AI.

"This time, I send both Neo-Spacian Glow Moss and Neos into the graveyard-", Jaden said as he got out his Deck to send the aforementioned monsters to his graveyard slot. "-To Contact Fusion! Come on out, Elemental HERO Glow Neos!"

This time a smaller version of Neos came out, glowing brightly in white and with long hair reminiscent of tentacles.

Elemental HERO Glow Neos; Level 7 LIGHT Warrior Contact Fusion Effect Monster; 2500 ATK, 2000 DEF

"Another Contact Fusion...", seethed the green AI.

"And since there's another card on the field, Magma Neos gains 400 more ATK!", Jaden explained.

Magma Neos' ATK: 4600 - 5000

"And now I set one of my cards, before activating the Field Spell, Neo Space!", Jaden continued with his cards' activation, the forest surrounding them suddenly vanishing into a space of green and pink. The storm remained, although it was all gathered in a small cyclone up in the sky; It wasn't that scary anymore.

"Wait, where are we?", asked Windy. He then realized, "Don't tell me this is your Field Spell's doing!"

"And it does more than just look pretty; While it's out on the field, all Neos monsters gain 500 ATK!", Jaden explained, his monsters increasing in ATK.

Magma Neos' ATK: 5000 - 5500

Glow Neos' ATK: 2500 - 3000

"And since there's two more cards, Magma Neos gains 800 more ATK!", Jaden continued.

Magma Neos' ATK: 5500 - 6300

"You...!", Windy seethed as he watched Jaden's monsters grow in ATK. "So this is what you were going for!"

An OTK strategy..., Yubel noted with a smirk. You sick bastard, that's awesome.

"Battle!", Jaden outstretched his hand and pointed it at the AI's Bahamut Bomber. "Magma Neos attacks your monster! Super Heat Meteor!"

The Fusion monster produced a fiery blast from its hand before throwing it at the large ship, effectively destroying it with a blast.

"Hrrrgh!", Windy shielded himself from the impact.

Windy's LP: 4000 - 2200

"And now I attack you directly with Glow Neos!", finished Jaden. "Lightning Strike!"

The glowing alien generated a glowing lightning rod and threw it directly at Echo. It pierced the tall AI and effectively created a loud blast.

"EARGHH...", Windy shouted with devastation, the blast now starting to reach him within seconds. "CURSE YOUUUUUUU!"

Both Windy and Echo were hit face first with the blast, immediately creating a windy explosion that blew away the both Field Spells.

Jaden silently deactivated his Duel Disk, Both the green AI and Echo now laying on the dusty floor.

"Curse... you...", Windy said before losing consciousness.
