"ggggggrrrrrr" Pain growled to himself as he went to grab another piece of paper from the table only to fall on his face for the 4th time trying to walk, it didn't help either the mittens were making it hard to grab paper to begin with.
"I HATE THESE STUPID MITTENS AND THIS DUMB DIAPER!" he yells in annoyance as he tries to gets up.
Hercules and Hermes jumped then both looked at their chubby pink imp cousin while Panic looked at Pain worried as, yeah sure Pain is accident prone but he never accidently hurts himself like this often, they all were drawing peacefully and were coloring, which Panic asked if they could do.
"Fell down again buddy?" asked Hermes as he helped Pain up, who just pouted and went limp in Hermes's arms.
"Well...we haven't tried walking that much due to the diapers..." Panic says as he stops drawing on his piece of paper.
He had to admit since Hades/dad had put them back in diapers the diapers have ruined their balance when walking.
"Maybe we should surprise Hades by reteaching you to walk," Hercules suggested as he cleans up the surrounding area so they had lots of room to move around.
Pain just sulks and growls "I don't wanna relearn to walk!"
Pain started to squirm in Hermes's arms trying to get free.
"Hey?! Pain?! Knock it off or you're going to have a time out..." Hermes warned, but Pain wasn't having it and kept squirming.
"I don't wanna be treated like an impling anymore!" Pain complains and whines.
Panic's horns drooped down as he watched the scene unfold, and was slightly worried what Hermes and Hercules would do to Pain as he had no idea what a time out was. Mainly due to Hades used to punish them by flaming up….but Hades stopped doing that after finding out he is Panic and Pain's dad.
Pain keeps squirming and trying to get free from Hermes' grasp and actually hits Hermes in the face knocking his glasses off his face slightly.
"OK that's it." Hermes says with a bit of an agitation as he fixes his glasses and starts to head towards Pain and Panic's room.
"Let me go!" Pain struggles as Hermes brings him to him and Panic's room and leaves a now fuming mad Pain in his crib and closes the door, Pain then throws a pillow at the door in rage.
"You're in there for 10 mins Pain" Hermes says outside the door and walks back to where Hercules and Panic were.
"what's a time out?" Panic asks Hercules, still worried about Pain.
"A timeout is when you put a person, child or creature in a room, or stand in a corner, or sit on a chair for a time depending and that is between 5 mins to 30 mins" Hercules explained which he could see calmed Panic a bit.
"Anyway Panic lets try and help you with your walking balance OK" Hermes smiles, gently offers to holds Panic's hands and help him up.
Panic blushes at the thought of having to relearn to walk….but if it makes it easier to move instead of crawl….
Panic sighs and takes Hermes's hands "Okay...I'll try".
As he took his first step Panic whimpered as he was wobbly as an actual impling would be. when it would be taking its first steps due to the diaper he was wearing.
Hermes was hovering holding Panic while he tried to walk towards Hercules.
"Your doing great Panic~" Hermes encourages his teal imp cousin.
"You can do it Panic~" Hercules says standing not too far from Hermes.
Hermes lets Panic's hands go to see if Panic can walk or at least get his walking balance back.
Panic's balance was a bit wobbly, flailing his arms around but he was able to regain his balance, he stumbled and walked into his ginger haired cousin's arms who hugged and lifted Panic up.
"Good job Panic you did it" Hercules smiles and hugs his skinny teal imp cousin who blushes at how Hercules was praising him like he was a 'toddler'.
-(after 10 mins)-
Panic found his balance for walking again which was like abit of a cute little waddle due to his diaper.
"I'm going to check on how Pain is doing, he's being quiet...also his timeout is almost over" Hermes said he watched Hercules who was currently tossing into the air and catching Panic.
"Okay Hermes I'll keep working with Panic~" Hercules says, not looking at his light blue skinned brother as he catches and throws up into the air again a giggling Panic.
"Be careful there you two~" Hermes responds playfully as he starts to head over to Pain and Panic's room/nursery.
"Okay" both Hercules and still giggling Panic respond as they continue to play toss and catch which Panic found amusing.
Hermes just smiles and laughs softly at his brother a cousin are playing around, Hermes heads towards Pain and Panic's room.
-(just outside Pain and Panic's room)-
Hermes was just about to open the door, only to hear muffled hiccups plus soft sobs.
"I-i-is he crying?! Why is he...? Did I do something wrong?!" Hermes yells at himself as he quickly opens the door to see why his imp cousin he put in time out 10 mins ago was crying.
"Pain? buddy...what's the matter?..." Hermes whispered softly as he enters the room, he looks towards the crib and sees:
Pain who was curled up hugging a pillow, sobbing and hiccuping hiding his face, back facing Hermes.
Hermes's heart string tightened as he realized why Pain was crying, he had forgotten the one thing that Hades had told him and Hercules before he left...him and Hercules forgot about that Pain had a diaper rash.
"Oh Gods... the poor guy…did his rash get worse?" whimpered the light blue god in his head as he hovered over to the crib.
Yeah sure Pain was put in timeout for not listening for 10 mins, but Hermes and Hercules both had forgotten about he had a diaper rash, which makes babies and honestly anything or anyone would be too: cranky and upset, having a sore rash on your butt.
"I can't believe I forgot about the rash...no wonder he was cranky before…" Hermes says to himself as he reaches out with his hand.
"Pain...I'm sorry I forgot about your rash..." Hermes speaks softly as he gently touches Pain's head only for Pain to whimper and hide his face more into the pillow.
"Don't touch me…" Pain whimpers, voice being muffled by the pillow.
"You had an accident didn't you.." Hermes gently touches then pats Pain's padded rear only to feel it squish.
"It hurts...and I...I...no like...it..." Pain hiccups in his pillow, his voice sounds like he was crying for a while.
Hermes pulled down a side of the crib allowing him better access to Pain and went to get the portable diaper changing mat from the night stand next to the crib, then laid it next to Pain, then rolled the upset imp cousin onto his back on the mat.
"Pain... buddy...come on look at me…. I can't change you when you're holding the pillow" Hermes softly explains as he really couldn't change Pain's diaper if he was holding the pillow.
After he said that Pain who just said nothing lets Hermes take the pillow
"okay" Pain whimpers, and rubs his eyes which were slightly red due to him crying.
"I'll be fast okay~" Hermes explains as he looks sadly at Pain's face.
Then he started unbuttoning Pain's onesie bottoms, untapped the diaper, to find a massive reason why Pain was crying and whimpering.
"Awww…..Poor guy I would be crying and whimpering even being cranky…..did my imp cousin have a #2 accident" as he said that Hermes watches Pain hide his face in his hands and chokes back a sob.
"Hey hey it's OK…. Pain accidents happen" Hermes soothes then grabs some baby wipes.
"It's...embarrassing…." Pain sobs.
"It's fine...also this is going to sting" and with that Hermes started to clean Pain's rear and Pain's started to cry due to it stinging because of his diaper rash.
"It hurts…" Pain cried and squirmed.
"all done~...no more wipes...and no more mess~" Hermes smiles as he throws the old diaper and dirty wipes into the garbage flame.
Hermes then lifted Pain's legs up, and slid a new diaper under Pain, who started to calm down and watched Hermes fly over to the diaper changing table and grab the diaper rash cream and also the baby powder.
"Um….Hermes...do I have to wear the onesie? It just seems to...make the rash feel hotter..." Pain asks as he wipes some tears from his eyes.
As Hermes came over with the rest of the diaper changing stuff and set them down next to Pain.
"You want the onesie off? you don't mind people seeing your diaper?" Hermes asks as he starts to apply the diaper rash cream.
"Y..yeah I think it would feel a lot better then feeling….. very hot down there due to the rash..." Pain explains as Hermes starts to apply the baby powder and then pulls up the diaper's front and tapes the sides of the diaper.
"OK~ now let's get you out of your onesie~ but before I help what did you learn from being in timeout?.." Hermes smiles but also has a serious look on his face
"To listen when I'm told to stop..." Pain pouted and looks away from Hermes
Hermes smiles then nods and helps Pain out of his onesie, and puts new mittens and booties on Pain's hands and feet.
"You look very cute like that~" Hermes smiles and helps Pain stand.
"You know... it took Panic 10 mins to regain his walking balance with the diaper? wanna try yourself?" he offers while hovering above Pain like he did Panic but waiting till Pain took his hands, which Pain did.
"Okay….I'll try.
-(another 10 mins later)-
Hercules was in the kitchen, warming up supper as Panic watched Taurus vision (TV) on the couch.
"Hey Herc~ Pain's walking~" Hercules turned to look in the direction of Hermes who flew over to him.
"Oh so that's what you two were doing in there for 10 mins" Hercules smiled slightly as he watched Pain waddle walk over to the couch then climbed up onto it to watch Taurus vision (TV) with Panic who was happy to have his older brother by him again.
"Well the lasagna is almost done. '' Hercules smirks. He had to admit his uncle Hades's cooking is great~.
"I'll warm up the bottles'' Hermes tells his brother as he fills a pot with water and puts it on the stove and mixes some milk with baby formula for Pain and Panic's bottles then puts the baby bottles in the pot of simmering water.
"um...Hercster?..." Hermes asks his little brother.
"Yeah," Hercules responded.
"We forgot about Pain's diaper rash...he had a #2 accident, while in time out and with a diaper rash that really hurts, that's why he's not wearing his onesie" Hermes explains.
as he watches the bottles in the pot and TV while he waits, Hercules looks at him.
"That might explain why he was cranky before…" Hercules said feeling bad for his imp cousin.
Panic looks at Pain curiously, then back to his cousins "Um... Hermes? Hercules? Can I take off my onesie too?" Panic asks curiously.
"Well after this you two are going for a bath so sure~" Hercules smiles and walks over then helps Panic out of his onesie and now looks like Pain with only his diaper and mittens plus booties on.
As Pain and Panic both where watching TV and both didn't know that their thumbs found their way into their mouths, which made Hermes and Hercules can't help but snicker and chuckle at their imp cousins looking adorable with Pain almost nodding off and with Panic gently kicking his legs slightly watching a gladiator match which Hades told them they can watch.
-(15 mins later)-
"Ok foods ready" Hercules states as he puts a piece of lasagna on a plate for each as Hermes tests the bottles temperature, both imps climb off the couch and waddle walk to the table.
"Can we eat at the table? On normal chairs?" Pain asked hopefully that the babysitter would let him and Panic sit at the table with normal chairs.
"Sorry buddy... but Daddy Hades said you two are stuck in high chairs" Hermes says as he puts each imp who sulks slightly and complains as they're buckled up into their high chairs and had their bibs tied on.
Hercules sighs but smiles as he puts the lasagna on the table and gives everyone their plates.
"Let's eat~" Hermes smiles as they all dig in.
-(after dinner)-
When done the imps were each covered with meat sauce, noodles and more, As Hercules and Hermes let Pain and Panic feed themselves.
"Awww look at you Two~ messy babies" Hercules laughed as he finished his lasagna.
"I'm actually kinda glad me and Pain are having baths after this..." Panic smiles nervously and softly legs kicks his tail wagging lightly same with Pain.
"Yep~" Hermes smiles as he puts his dishes into the sink.
"And wait till Uncle Hades sees you two walking~" Hermes grins as he rinses the plates.
"Um, did Hades say how Pain and Panic were supposed to be bathed?.." Hercules questioned with a mouthful of lasagna.
"What do you mean?" Pain asks head tilts sideways curiously.
"Well uncle Hades never said do you guys get a bath in the sink or in an actual tub?" Hercules explains as Panic and Pain both blush at the idea of having a bath in the sink...
"I can quickly call him and ask?" Hermes says as he goes to call his uncle about this issue.
-(one magic phone call later)-
"Okay... Hades said that he wants you two to have a bath in the sink but due to we're babysitting you two, you can have the tub, also he might be home early he said after we give you boys a bath he'll be back" Hermes explains to Hercules and his imp cousins as Hercules puts supper's dishes in the sink.
"Ok that's great" Hercules looks at Pain and Panic.
"Ready for a bath? You two?~" Hercules smiles as both imps pout and blush...
"We don't like baths" Pain says crossing his arms and Panic nods as well.
"Welp we can add extra bubbles and toys~ right Hermes?" Hercules looks at Hermes who just nods.
"Yep" was all Hermes said and smirked.
"Fine we'll have a bath" Pain and Panic whine/whimper as they don't really like baths...
