I do not own Princess and the Frog as well as the Titans

Sleeping was something that was hard for Raven sometimes. Some nights she just couldn't seem to stay asleep. And tonight was one of those nights.

She had no problem falling asleep, she would just wake up throughout the night.

She had just woken up for the second time that night, confused as to why she woke up.

It wasn't until she heard the softest, off distant rumble of thunder that she realized there was going to be a storm.

Great

She turned her phone off of silent so she would hear any weather alerts, in case it was going to be a bad one. And sure enough, as soon as she turned on her phone, there was a severe thunderstorm warning for the next 2 hours, the main threat being intense lightning and gusting winds.

Raven groaned and turned away from the window, trying to go back to sleep, hoping that maybe it would be that bad and she would be able to sleep.

She successfully dosed for a few minutes before a particularly loud clap of thunder shook the tower.

And now she's awake.

Deciding that she wasn't going to be able to sleep through it, she aimlessly scrolled through her phone.

She scrolled for a few minutes and jumped slightly when a loud weather alert went off, signaling that the strong storm was about to come through any minute.

She waited expectantly for the next few seconds for the text she knew was coming.

After another loud rumble of thunder, her phone dinged again, this time, a text.

Beast Boy

"Can we make a tent?"

It was something that he did when loud storms would come by. His enhanced hearing made storms hard to deal with at times and was known to cause a lot of sensory overload for him.

The whole tent thing started when Raven woke up one morning to get some tea to find Beast Boy sleeping under the kitchen table that was turned into a tent.

She found out that he felt safe there and it helped lower the volume of the thunder and kept out the light from the lightning.

Raven asked if it would make him feel safer if someone was there with him.

He said yes.

She told him that if he ever needed her, she would be there.

"You won't get mad if I wake you up?" He asked, still under the table.

"Normally I would, but these are under different circumstances. I wont be mad."

She went to the kitchen to finish making her tea and went to leave the room before stopping at the door.

"Text me if you need me. I will be there."

"Sure. Do you want the lights?" She responded.

"Please?"

"I'll be down in a few minutes"

Raven sighed when she looked at the radar. "This ones going to take a while." She mumbled, collecting her purple quilt, a squishmallow from Starfire to use as a pillow, her phone and communicator, and color changing string lights. The lights helped add some soothing light under the blanket so it wasnt dark under there.

As she made her way down to the main room, she could hear the storm getting louder and the lightning getting more intense

Once she got into the main room, Beast Boy was already set up under the table with his comforter covering the sides of the table as it was placed on top of it.

"I'm sorry I woke you." Beast Boy said when he heard Raven come in.

"I told you before, it's ok. Raven said as she lifted up one side of the blanket to get under. "The storm woke me up before you texted me anyway. Do you have tape?"

Beast Boy nodded and turned around to grab the roll of tape he got from one of the drawers in the kitchen. He tore off pieces and handed them to Raven who taped up the strand of lights under the booth seats.

He cringed when a particular loud clap of thunder echoed throughout the tower. "Those are battery lights right?"

Raven nodded. "Don't worry. I don't plan on plugging anything in with all this lightning.

And to prove her point, a very well timed bolt of lightning hit nearby, lighting up the whole room ,shining under the gaps of the comforter.

"Thank you." Beast Boy sighed, opening his laptop.

"What are we watching this time?" Raven yawned, laying on her stomach with her head resting on her arms.

"Princess and the Frog." Beast Boy said as he sat cross legend in front of the laptop, turning it so Raven could see.

"That's a good movie." Raven said, pulling her quilt over her head and placing her squishmallow under her face for added cushion. "How long is the alert on for again?"

"Until three twenty." Beast Boy sighed, dejectedly.

"Well," Raven adjusted herself some more, "maybe it'll be faster than we think."

"Maybe." Beast Boy mumbled, bracing himself when another flash of lightning shone.

Raven looked up from the laptop and tried to find something to help Beast Boy with his storm anxiety. "Do you know how to count the storm?"

"No?" He said, more confused than certain.

"Robin taught me how. When lightning strikes, you count the number of seconds until you hear the thunder." Raven explained, handing him a blanket which he greatly accepted. "One second means the storm is about one mile away. The longer the time between the two gets, the further away the storm is."

"And the closer together, the closer the storm?"

"Yep."

They watched the movie together while they counted in their heads the time between the thunder and lightning, Raven starting to dose as Beast Boy started to calm down.

"Raven," Beast Boy spoke suddenly, gaining her attention from dozing off, "thank you."

She smiled slightly and nodded. "You're welcome."

Robin and Cyborg were the ones who found them the next morning, completely zonked out still under the table.

"Did it storm last night?" Robin asked, bending down and lifting a side of the blanket, revealing two snoozing Titans.

"I guess it did." Cyborg said, peering over from the kitchen. "Take a picture. We barely see them not fighting."

Robin smiled and quietly took a picture of them, walking to the kitchen. "I'm just glad they can do something without fighting."

Cybor chuckled as he pulled out some cookware. "You and me both man. Now, how does muffins sound for breakfast?"

I love big sister Raven. I feel like more than anything, That's her relationship with Beast Boy.

The storm counting was something I saw in tv when I was little and it helps a lot with my storm anxiety, especially at night

And Princess and the Frog is one of the movies I watch when a bad storm is coming through. That and Aristocats or another cute movie
