Jackson sat in Ramona's bedroom in a chair as he faced Ramona who was sitting on her bed. Ramona looked nervous as she took a deep breath and said, "It was before you and Lola became a couple. We do know each other really well. I mean... I did know exactly word for word what you were going to say when Lola broke up with you." Then Jackson made a little smile as he said, "That is true. We have gotten really close to one another throughout the years." Then Ramona said, "I know. And it hurts that you didn't take advantage of that when Lola died. We should've helped each other feel better." Then Jackson said, "You're right. We should've. I mean I broke up with Rocki a year ago, and you broke up with Ethan around the same too. I guess neither of us had anyone our own age to lean on." Then tears appeared in Ramona's eyes as she said, "It's just... for so long, I couldn't tell anyone why it hurt so much when Lola died. I mean when not just your best friend dies, but your first sexual partner dies... it hurts like nothing else. But I couldn't tell anyone Lola was my first sexual partner, and that made me feel even more alone." Then Jackson got up and sat next to Ramona as he said, "But you're not alone Ramona. The two saw both sadness and compassion in the other's eyes, and then the two both moved their faces towards one another, and then... Jackson and Ramona kissed.
