Hello everyone! I'm back with my first official Inuyasha story. I have written Inuyasha one-shots but I feel like those don't count.

This story will be featuring a couple I never see, and that's GinKag!

So sit back, relax, and enjoy!

No One Pov

Inuyasha cursed as he ran with kagome lying limp in his arms. They had been ambushed by one of Naraku's demons and just as they were celebrating the small victory, a snowstorm hit. It was just their luck that Kaede's village was nowhere near them.

On the other hand, the closest safety was the Eastern wolf pack den. Just thinking about the wolves helping made Inuyasha snarl. That quickly stopped as he realized that the wolves may be the only way Kagome and the group could get warm. A small whine left Inu's lips as he became even more stressed after feeling Kagome's fading heartbeat getting weaker.

Looking behind him, Inuyasha made sure the rest of the group was close behind before he increased his speed to get to the den faster. When he finally reached the den, Inuyasha was met by the leader of the pack.

Koga.

There was not enough time to act as Inuyasha knew Kagome was on the verge of life and death. A whine in his native tongue left his mouth.

"Save her!"

Koga's eyes widened at the sound of Inuyasha's distressed whine. He had never heard the dog openly display his feelings like this before. At least, not in front of him. Normally, Inuyasha was very brash and rude towards him. Looking down, Koga had now noticed that there was a slightly pale Kagome in his arms and the faint smell of death coming off her in small waves.

Fear now ran through Koga and he began to bark out orders at his wolves.

" Ginta! Get a fire started and bring out all of the spare furs we have. Hakkaku I need you to get some water on the fire. Kiori and Mae start making a beef stew. Make sure there is enough of it for everyone."

With Koga's orders barked out, the wolves got to work.

Kagome's Pov

Everything hurts. I was so cold. It felt like my powers were diminishing as I lay on the cold ground. Where was I?

I tried to look around, but could not find any clue as to where I was. Fear consumed me as the darkness began to devour me once more.

"No! Please! Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me? I need help! Please! Please..."

What felt like days passed by as no one seemed to answer my plea. I was alone in this darkness. No one was coming to save me. The rawest form of helplessness hit me and I just cried.

As my eyes were clouded with tears, I barely saw a glowing form in my view. They were blurry but I could make out the long black hair and sword strapped to her waist. The aura I felt was powerful but pure as it seemed to be a Miko.

The figure stepped towards me as I wiped my eyes with relief. I wasn't alone.

"W-who are you? Where am I? Please help me." My words came out in whimpers.

I was terrified.

The woman smiled warmly and calmly took me into her arms. Warmth washed over me as I calmed down.

"Hush now child. My name is Midoriko and I am the great priestess who once walked these lands. You are my descendent of the future. At this moment, you are dying in the Eastern Wolf Pack's den. Do not fret over it, for I have come to unlock your true powers to help you heal. The Shikon Miko cannot die."

My head swirled with all of the information this great priestess was giving me and I couldn't help but to panic slightly at the thought of me dying. However, my worries were washed away as Midoriko told me she could unlock my true powers.

A wave of confusion washed over my face as I realized what she said. My true powers? The mere thought of me having true powers didn't process as fast as it should've and I was left baffled.

"Lady Midoriko, what do you mean true powers? As far as I am concerned, I have powers to protect the jewel and heal others. There hasn't been a moment where I had anything but those two things."

Midoriko just smiled at me softly once more.

"My dear Kagome. You are the heir to the throne of the Western Demon Wolf Tribe."

My eyes widened at this new information.

"How is that possible? I was born in modern day Japan, in a shrine there. My mom is human and so is the rest of my family."

Panic once more consumed me as my whole life just changed in one second. Everything was a lie?

Midoriko washed her aura over me again and I was able to calm down.

"Please be calm Kagome. I know it is a lot of information to take in, but do not worry. Within time, you will be able to understand what is happening."

Midoriko continued on with everything she came to tell me. To be honest, I was overwhelmed and dizzy.

"You are a MikoDemon, my child. Your mother isn't the one who gave birth to you and your father is still alive. Souta is your younger brother, however, the Higurashi's are descendants of you. When you were younger, there was a great evil that wanted to take you and your brother. It wanted to kill everyone in the Western wolf tribe. However, your parents took you to the magical Bone Eater's well and I was able to transport you and Souta to the shrine in modern day Tokyo as babies. You stayed there until duty called you back to the Feudal Era. Unfortunately it wasn't safe for you to know this information back then, but now, at the closest you've come to death, I have been given the chance to explain and help. At this moment, you will not have any powers unlocked aside from the ones that regenerate you to your natural health. However, tomorrow night, I will visit you in your dreams and explain more to you. I will unlock more powers and will train you as time goes on." Midoriko sighed softly. "It is time I must take my leave for the evening. You are beginning to wake up. As soon as you do, the pain you can't feel at the moment will return, but will go away quickly. I will be back. Good luck Kagome."

There were so many questions running through my head, but she didn't give me enough time to ask. I-I don't know what to think. Why is it always me?

As the questions kept piling up, I felt myself begin to blackout from information overload. Of course I would, there wasn't any reason not to.

With that final thought, my vision went black.
