Izzy was considered a "smart" kid, but sometimes his marks didn't reflect that. His mom was upset when his teacher informed her that he failed the last history exam, she confiscated his laptop until he passed the next exam. He tried to convince her that his laptop would be a viable study tool for the exam, but she wasn't convinced, so now he had been staring blank-faced at a textbook for days. He didn't know how to actually study; if it didn't come naturally to him, he didn't care to know about it. The next big exam was in a couple of days, and Izzy confirmed to himself that he would never see his laptop again as he tapped his pen against the unused notebook in front of him.

*knock knock*

"Hello, anyone home?" Mimi poked her head in the doorway.

"Yeah, come on in," Izzy opened the door all the way to let her in.

"Thank you!" Mimi beamed and tossed her bag on Izzy's bed.

"My books were there, but sure. Toss your crap wherever," Izzy muttered to himself as he closed the door.

"So, what did you have so far? Have you even started studying?" Mimi flipped through Izzy's notebook.

"Don't judge me," Izzy gently took the book from Mimi's fingers. He picked his textbook up from his bed and sat on the floor cross-legged.

"Babe, do you even know how to study?" Mimi smirked.

"I don't think that's any of your concern," Izzy turned red. He wasn't sure if his face was getting hot because she called him a pet name or because she called him out on something he didn't know how to do. Either case, he didn't care for her teasing.

"It's okay, I'm here to help!" Mimi grabbed her books and joined Izzy on the floor. "I'll even give you some studying tips so you can pass your test!"

"Thanks, I appreciate it…," Izzy reluctantly said.

"Since I obviously had a head start, I'm going to take a break and I'm going to wait for you to catch up," Mimi leaned her head on Izzy's shoulder.

"Then you'll be here a while. I've been on the same page for days now," Izzy remarked.

"That's cause you're too focused on doing things in the right order. Look, our next test is on Chapter 11, right?" Mimi asked.

"Yeah," Izzy asked.

"So what I like to do is skim through all of of it. We have to know it all, it's best to get a sneak preview of it to know what to expect. Take a look at the pictures, the sections, the review questions at the end, what have you. Now that you know what to expect, you can go back and take a look at the chapter by each little section. Take it in little pieces, and remember the important things. And like quiz yourself every so often to see if you understand what's going on. If not, move on and then go back to it after you finish the rest of the chapter," Mimi flipped through the pages in Izzy's book.

"Really? That sounds a little scatterbrained," Izzy frowned.

"Try it. I think it will work better than whatever this….is," Mimi pointed at Izzy's blank notebook.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot," Izzy sighed.

"Yeah, you won't regret it. Again, I'll give you some time to catch up and then we'll see how you do. I'm gonna take a break," Mimi pulled out her phone.

"You do that," Izzy grunted as Mimi laid her head down on his lap.

"Hey, wouldn't I look cute as a kitty cat?" Mimi smiled as she played with a camera filter that added whiskers and cat ears to her face.

"Yeah, I think it suits you," Izzy rolled his eyes. He found it ironic that Mimi was playing with a cat filter considering she was acting like a cat, invading his personal space and being in the way of him trying to do anything productive.

*click* *flash*

"What was that?" Izzy asked.

"Look, I got the filter on both of us. You're a kitty cat too," Mimi smirked.

"Ugh…can you cut it out? I'm trying to study," Izzy groaned.

"Okay, I'll put my phone away," Mimi sighed. "So did you hear that the senior class trip is going to the hot dog factory this year?"

"What?" Izzy asked.

"Yeah! I would be so mad! Why would they want to do that? I think we did that in kindergarten. I never wanted another hot dog again since that visit," Mimi said.

"I don't like them either," Izzy shook his head.

"Who's bright idea was it to take a bunch of little kids to a hot dog factory in the first place? And then serve hot dogs once a week for school lunch?" Mimi made a face.

"I don't know. Kinda sounds like corruption," Izzy said.

"You're probably on to something. But if that's the case, they should have taken us to a baseball game, and given us free hot dogs. We don't even need to watch baseball- I actually think it's the most boring sport ever…never mind, golf has to be the most boring sport ever! And do you know whooo loves golf? Old guys. And guess what? Old guys are booooring!" Mimi rambled.

"Mimi…," Izzy bit his lip and squeezed his pencil tightly. He was trying to study, but all he could focus on is how her mouth was moving a million miles a minute.

"Oh, sorry! I hope I didn't offend you, I'm pretty sure you have some nice old guys in your family. But I'm just telling the truth. My granddad is all boring cause he talks about stocks, golf, and cigars, and-"

"Is he as much of a talker as you are?" Izzy took in a deep breath.

"I wouldn't say so. Well, people say that my mom's side of the family is where the talkers come from, but I think my dad talks a lot too. Especially when it's like 'Mimi, you need to be more responsible', 'Mimi, you should clean your room', 'Mimi, you should-"

"Shut your mouth," Izzy interrupted.

"Yeah, how did you know I was gonna say that?" Mimi gasped.

"No, literally. Mimi, shut your mouth," Izzy brought his knees up and held onto Mimi's head. He leaned in forward and pressed his lips against hers, then suddenly broke away.

"Okay…," Mimi sat upright, her face flushed.

"Sorry, I'm trying to focus and I didn't know how else to shut you up," Izzy turned his back to her.

"Well you failed. You're in big trouble now," Mimi touched her lips.

"I know, I'm sorry," Izzy could feel his ears turn hot, still too scared to look at her.

"You're not gonna get anything done now, and best believe, I'm not shutting my mouth!" Mimi walked over to face Izzy and shoved him to the floor.

"I already told you I'm sorry! Please don't hurt me," Izzy pleaded.

"I won't hurt you unless you want me to," Mimi laid up on top of him and smirked.

"Then what do you want?" Izzy winced.

"I'm just returning the favor," Mimi leaned in to kiss him. She smirked in satisfaction as she felt his shaky hands pull her closer to him, and she kissed him more passionately. She moved her body against his and snuck out little gasps in his ear in between kisses, which made all of his movements more aggressive. She ran his fingers through his hair and gave it a teasing tug, smirking with every frustrated grunt he let out. He slowly started to lean in forward, and subtly pushed Mimi so that she was on the bottom this time. He smoothed his hands through the contours of her body as she teasingly slid her fingers down his chest. They frantically swirled tongues, trying to catch their breath at the same time. He delicately brushed his fingers through her hair as the two of them rocked back and forth together.

*knock knock*

"Is everything okay in there?" Mrs. Izumi knocked on the door.

"Uh yeah," Izzy broke away from the kiss and sat up. Mimi quickly smoothed her hair and her clothes.

"Can I come in?"

"Sure?" Mimi nervously giggled as she exchanged frantic glances with Izzy.

"So how far have you guys gotten?" Mrs. Izumi asked.

"I think we're making some progress. We're getting somewhere," Izzy put his textbook on his lap.

"Yeah, we've been working on some things together," Mimi nodded.

"Sounds like it. Don't get too worked up, take it easy. I'll let you guys be," Mrs. Izumi smiled and closed the door.

"Yeah Izzy. Take it easy," Mimi smirked.

"Excuse me? What was that back there?" Izzy turned red.

"You like me," Mimi fluttered her eyelashes.

"If I recall, that was a teamwork effort," Izzy pressed his lips together.

"Hey, don't get too worked up. Of course it was a teamwork effort. I like you too, genius," Mimi winked.

"You do?" Izzy blinked in surprise.

"Yes, so are you gonna keep talking or do I have to shut your mouth?" Mimi quipped.

"Please shut me up," Izzy shakily begged.

"Oh, I will," Mimi leaned in close and teasingly brushed her tongue against Izzy's lips until he opened his mouth. She thrusted her hips against his as their tongues wrestled in each other's mouths. Izzy kicked his textbook under his bed; at this moment, he didn't care if he never saw his laptop again, he would rather spend countless hours on these study sessions a lot more.
