Ash tells Pikachu to use Quick Attack, Bea tells Grapploct to use Detect, it evades the attack, Ash tells Pikachu to use Electroweb, it lands a direct hit on Grapploct, trapping it. Chloe, Goh, The Parrs, and Lucius point out how Pikachu went straight for the attack, Korrina tells them Ash managed to get the fist hit on Bea and says Quick Attack was a feint for Electroweb. Grapploct sticks one of its tentacles out of the Electroweb, Ash tells Pikachu to use Iron Tail. Bea tells Grapploct to use Close Combat, it grabs Pikachu by his tail and hangs him upside down, Ash gets worried, Grapploct repeatedly slaps Pikachu. The Battle Narrator comments on Grapploct's unexpected Close Combat ignoring Electroweb and it's toughness, Pikachu is launched back. Grapploct breaks free from Electroweb, Chloe, The Parrs, and Lucius mention that Grapploct is strong, Korrina tells Chloe, Goh, the Parrs, and Lucius nothing fazes Grapploct.
Ash calls Pikachu back and sends out Lucario, Goh tells Chloe, the Parrs, Lucius, and Korrina when Lucario was a Riolu it fought Grapploct to a draw the last time Ash battled Bea (a flashback shows Riolu and Grapploct both knocking each other out). The Battle Narrator says Ash's second pick is Lucario. Ash tells Lucario they're gonna beat Grapploct this time, Bea tells Grapploct to use Liqudation, Ash tells Lucario to use Double Team, clones of Lucario appear, they surround Grapploct. Bea tells Grapploct to spin, it uses Liqudation while spinning, eliminating the clones. The Battle Narrator says Grapploct spinning with Liquidation got rid of the clones, but wonders where the real Lucario is. Grapploct wonders where the real Lucario is, Lucario is behind Grapploct. Ash tells Lucario to use Aura Sphere, Bea tells Grapploct to use Detect, it evades the attack, Bea recalls Grapploct.
Bea sends out Hawlucha, The Battle Narrator says Bea's second pick is Hawlucha and asks what kind of battle will this show us. Bea tells Hawlucha to use High-Jump Kick it rushes in and Lucario blocks the attack. The Battle Narrator says High-Jump Kick hits, Bea tells Hawlucha to use Wing Attack. Ash tells Lucario to knock back Hawlucha's attacks, Lucario knocks back Hawlucha's Wing Attack and the two exchange blows. The Battle Narrator notes on how Lucario and Hawlucha's speed and attack are evenly matched. Lucario and Hawlucha battle in midair, they land back on the ground. Bea tells Hawlucha to use Sky Attack, Ash tells Lucario to use Force Palm, Hawlucha dodges and flies up, it charges towards Lucario at full speed, landing a direct hit on it. The Battle Narrator says Sky Attack lands spectacularly, Ash commented how Bea isn't really giving him any chance to attack. Goh says that Hawlucha is even faster than last time Bea used it to battle Ash, Korrina tells Chloe, Goh, the Parrs, and Lucius Bea is better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today, saying she's always leveling up. Ash is happy to see Lucario can keep going, Bea recalls Hawlucha.
Bea sends out Machamp. The Battle Narrator says Bea's third pick is Machamp, Goh scans Machamp with his Rotom Phone and it gives its Pokédex entry description. Korrina tells Chloe, Goh, the Parrs, and Lucius Bea is staying on the offensive as she already sent out her true ace, Goh is confused at first until he remembers she has a Dynamax Band and realizes Machamp is capable of Gigantamaxing. A fantasy shows Bea's Machamp in its Gigantamax form, Goh gets nervous. Machamp runs towards Lucario, Ash tells Lucario to use Force Palm. Machamp punches Lucario repeatedly with Lucario blocking the punches. The Battle Narrator comments on the fierce assault by Machamp. Ash tells Lucario to rush in again and use Force Palm. Machamp grabs Lucario by the hands and the two-engage in a hand-to-hand combat, Bea tells Machamp to use Bullet Punch, Lucario dodges most of the punches, the last punch lands a direct hit on it. Machamp uses its four arms to deliver blow after blow, Korrina tells Chloe, Goh, the Parrs, and Lucius this is nowhere near Machamp's full strength. Lucario lets go, but Machamp holds it again by both of its arms, it is immobilized. Bea tells Machamp to use Cross Chop, it lands a direct hit on Lucario, Machamp wraps its hands around Lucario's body. Bea tells Machamp to use Bullet Punch, it punches Lucario repeatedly, Ash and Pikachu are rooting for Lucario to stay strong. The Battle Narrator wonders how will Ash and Lucario escape the bind, Machamp stops punching Lucario.
Ash touches the Lucarionite on his Mega Glove in order to Mega Evolve Lucario and escape Machamp's bind, however, Lucario doesn't want to. Korrina asks if Lucario doesn't want to Mega Evolve, Goh agrees with her, she asks her Lucario if it agrees with her and it does. Lucario headbutts Machamp escaping it's bind, Ash realizes Lucario wanted to break free without Mega Evolution and says he lost his temper saying he wasn't thinking ahead. The Battle Narrator asks if Ash's bond with Lucario wasn't deep enough, Leon shows up and apologizes saying he got lost and says it was far from not deep enough, saying their bond is to deep, Leon appears on the screen. The crowd cheers, Korrina wonders what's going on, she looks at the screen and sees Leon, he says that Ash and Lucario's deep bond will Mega Evolution will happen when it's necessary, saying now was not the time and asks if the crowd if they can feel how close Ash and Lucario are. Ash tells Bea Leon is watching and says he's gonna be the one who battles him, Bea tells him she will battle him, the battle resumes. Bea tells Machamp to use Strength, Ash tells Lucario to use Reversal. A still frame shows Ash and Bea in front of each other, Lucario and Pikachu are charging towards Machamp, and Leon is standing before them. The Monarch, Leon, has arrived, with the trainer they seek watching over them. who will emerge victorious Ash or Bea?
