OUR SINFUL LOVE
With the music in the background to cover their love-making both teenagers grunted and moaned as their bodies grinded against each other. Both naked and on the floor, they were deeply consumed by the lust for each other. The temptation had been too strong to rebuke and now here they were having an affair behind Lyra's back. Once the high of their sexual desires had been tamed and the afterglow had faded as well, both would be hit by the post-nut clarity of their situation. At the moment none of that matters however. The wrongful actions they were committing had no value to them as their minds had been clouded by a fog created by the sins of their lust.
"Fuck...yes...yes...ahh, fuck ahh." She clutched strongly unto him as he penetrated her fast and deep.
Their bodies covered in both sweat and heat as they worked out every fiber of their muscles into achieving the perfect orgasm. Lemy would not slow down as he was now enslaved by her body and wanted to only please her and release all his pent-up hormonal fuel into her. Spreading her legs far apart to the point they were wide up in the air he thrusted all his strength into her, earning a long and provocative moan that made her roll her eyes to the back of her skull and open her mouth wide in ecstasy.
Taking advantage he planted a sloppy kiss on her which she accepted without thinking. Their tongues twirling and circling each other as both groaned in excitement. He was now nearing his limit and to finally let it out he increased his pace and was now furiously ramming his cock into her like a possessed beast, a wild beast marking its mate as forever his. Lupa shrieked in pure exoticness as her cunt was now being aggressively pounded by his warm solid member. This was what she had been missing. What she had been desiring. His body, his love, all of his affection focused on her and only her if only for this one single moment today and never again.
Right then and there she was his woman and that was all she had wanted.
"I'm...close...Lupa here it comes." He grunted as he pierced her faster than she could even attempt to form a single word out, aside from his size, his technique to make the ladies explode into an orgasmic mess was legendary.
"Give it to me!" Lupa loudly pleaded. Grabbing his hair and holding him closer to her face, giving him those whimpering puppy eyes that she rarely deployed, "I want your sperm inside of me! Give me a baby! I want one too!"
Lemy would have paused his humping and looked at her with pure confusion, but right then and there his erection spoke first by blasting out his entire load deep into her vagina. Both teens shut their eyes and gasped in unison as their respective orgasms drove their bodies into an intense overdrive, shutting down all motor functions, leaving their muscles locked in place as both laid on the floor on top of each other.
Gasping for air and floating in the afterglow both had no strength to get up. Lemy tried to scoot himself off of her by laying down by her side. Lupa was leaking out into the carpet, his love essence having been so much for her to fully contain. She had forgotten just how great it felt and right then she understood that he was the one for her.
"...Lupa?" Lemy turned to look at her, scooting closer to her body. He placed one hand on her breast and massaged her nipple with his thumb as his other wiped away the sweat on her forehead.
"Thank you." She gave him the most sincere and loving smile he had ever seen from her.
He did not immediately reply back as his mind was now racing with many thoughts. He offered back a smile, but it was not as emotionally satisfying as hers. Leaning in he gave her a tender kiss. Smooching for a few seconds he parted ways with her as she smiled once more feeling the love gush out of her heart for him and him alone.
"Hey sis...why did you say that? When I was just about to shoot my load into you, you said...to give you a baby?" Lupa's eyes lowered at his question, she realized her mistake; she stayed quiet, unable to come up with a reasonable excuse for such a clear statement.
"You also said...you said that you wanted one too? What did you mean by that?" Lemy was now really beginning to wonder, his mind reaching for answers with only one that truly made sense to him at the moment.
"Lemy...I shouldn't have said that. I...I was...I overheard something that I shouldn't have. Something personal. Something that involves you and Lyra. I was just...I wanted the same thing that she has. I want what you two will now have." Lupa sorrowfully explained herself as well as confessing Lyra's secret to him.
He was at a loss for words. She could be lying, but not now, no way in hell is she making this stuff up for no logical reason. His heart was aching, not in pain, but out of joy. He broke out a sob as he laughed in joy.
"A-are you se-serious? I-I-I'm going to be...m-m-me and Lyra are going to be…" He had a hard time finishing his own sentence as the stunning revelation was too much for him to express in simple words.
Standing up on her knees she hugged him and joined in his celebration, "You're going to be a daddy you stuttering dumbass."
"Oh wow...Oh fuck...holy fuck." Both remained linked together by their arms, still naked, but basking in the wonderful news.
"I understand that you two will now be a family so I promise that this will be the last time I dare tempt you ever again like this." Lupa promised, despite knowing well that such a decision would result in her own broken heart.
"I...fuck me for saying this but…" Lemy looked at her, beaming with love and wishful thinking, "I love you too, so...maybe you might...get a gift of your own growing inside of you too?"
Lupa chuckled. He was such a caring sweetheart, even though he was destined for Lyra, he still had the loving desire to make her happy. Even if that meant giving her a child of her own as a farewell gift. Truly the perfect boy to have fallen in love with. He was going to be a great husband and father, this was one bet she was one-hundred percent guaranteed about.
Later Downstairs…
The house was empty and they both found that incredibly odd. Aunt Lucy and Lynn should be home by now as should Lyra and Lacy as well. Lincoln had taken off, so it was just them two alone at home. While Lupa went to grab a bite from the fridge, Lemy whipped out his cellphone and tapped on his list of contacts. Clicking on Lyra's he held it to his ear and waited for her to answer. No response as it sent him to voicemail.
"That's odd?" He said to himself.
"What's odd?" Lupa came back with a can of soda in hand. She gave him a quick peck on his cheek before sitting down to watch some television.
"Lyra always answers her phone. Especially if it's me." He wondered if she was probably too busy to pick up.
"She must have her hands full. She'll call you back. You are irresistible after all." She gave him a wink and smirk that he reutend back with a quick smile.
"You're right." He said.
"Of course I am." She patted the couch, welcoming him to sit next to her. An offer he accepted.
"Have you thought of a name?" She asked.
That was expected, but still a bit too early to formulate on his own. That decision needed to be made between Lyra and him. Thinking of Lyra, he wondered as to why she had withheld such a world-shattering piece of news from him. Maybe she was scared? Perhaps she was not sure of his reaction? Whatever the case may be he was ecstatic about it. They were going to be parents of a beautiful child that both had conceived from their mutual love. He was eager to speak to her and tell her how much he accepted this new chapter in their lives.
Would it be a boy or a girl? That would be important with the naming process, but in the grand scheme he didn't care for the gender he would love it, spoil it and protect it with his life.
Of course with the knowledge of a child of his growing within Lyra came the shame of the affair he had just had with Lupa upstairs. His heart dropped at the realization of what they had done behind her back. He had lost, lost to his basic needs, gave in to the flesh and even though he intended to stand by her side, Lemy felt the shame wrapped around him for going back on his promise to her when they had gotten together at last.
"I don't mean to rush you, but...is there a name you like?" Lupa asked.
That question momentarily stopped his train of thought. He just found out about fifteen minutes ago that he was going to be a father, a name was the last thing swimming on his head. Too early for that if he was being honest, he still needs to speak to Lyra about it. Maybe she already has a name in mind, for both genders too.
"...I have no idea." He was being honest about it, "I think something that important...Lyra and I should come up with something for sure."
"I'm sure there is a name in that head of yours." She said.
There was still no sign of the others. The house was still empty and it was already past six in the afternoon. Just when he was about to check on his phone and dial anybody, Lupa's phone rang first. Lazily accepting the call she placed it against her ear and asked without looking at the identification of the caller.
"Hello." She simply spoke into the device.
Lemy was not paying attention to her and if he had he would have noticed the rapid change to her calm demeanor. Her face was contorted by fear as her pupils expanded, her mouth hanging wide and the threat of shedding tears began to overflow her. Her breathing became erratic and that was enough for him to look over at her and what he saw was a hunting imagery of pain.
"Wh-what do...where? Where is she!" Lupa shouted into the phone, both eyes now leaking as her entire being began to shake alongside her trembling voice.
"What's happening?" Alerted, Lemy awaited for a reply as Lupa's ear remained glued to the cellphone in hand.
Clasping her mouth shut with her available hand, Lupa fought back a choke as her face reddened with her skin getting washed by the tears flowing out her eyes. Lemy was extremely worried and scared now, what on earth was happening? What had happened to put her of all people in such a state? His mind went wild attempting to find an answer. His thoughts immediately went over to Lyra. Just that thought alone shattered any remaining peace within him as his own heart began to accelerate thanks to the fear it had just summoned.
"Okay...okay." Lupa handed over the phone to Lemy which he quickly took, allowing her to now use both hands to hold back her cries.
"Hello?" He quickly answered, his mind already believing the worst.
"Son?" His father's voice was low. His tone alone was enough to know just how bad the situation was for he could hear the distraught in the older man, the pain was too evident to ignore.
"Dad, what's wrong?" Lemy was now fighting back tears of his own and he had yet to learn the issue in hand.
"Lacy...Lac-ah fuck, she...is in the hospital. Someone shot her."
His entire body became cold. All heat had died out as his mind attempted to register the words he had just heard from his own father. This was the absolute worst thing to ever occur, the most horrible possible thing to ever befall this family. Lyra's past was a terrible tenure, but she managed to overcome it and be safe, this however was the greatest fear that nobody desired to be subjugated to. The fear of death was indiscriminate and it had just found its way to this particular family.
"What?"
"The doctors are...doing everything they can...they are...trying." Lincoln was breaking down and it shook Lemy to the core to hear it occur.
"Where's Lyra dad, is she safe?" Fear had claimed a hold of him. If Lacy had been gravely injured then where was Lyra? They had been together, so where was she?
There was silence on the other side, deathly silence.
"Where is she?!" He screamed out.
"I do not know…" Lincoln shamefully confessed.
Lemy's world turned dark. Every fiber of his being was screaming all at once, screaming, commanding him to run out this house and search far and wide for her. Yet he was immobilized in his spot, greatly stunned at the harrowing revelations he had just learned. Lupa had gotten up from her seat and was pacing around the room weeping and wiping her face. Lacy was not just her sister, she was her best friend, the possibility of losing her was too much for her young heart to bear. He was currently under the same curse not just for Lacy, but Lyra and their unborn child.
"It was him wasn't it? It's that motherfucker! He shot Lacy and took Lyra from us!" Fuming with rage he restrained himself just about enough to avoid spiking the phone to the floor and shattering it to pieces.
"The cops are already investigating. They will find her son. We will find her!" Lincoln proclaimed to his erratic son.
Will...Lacy...live?" Lupa raised her head at hearing that from her brother. The thought of Lacy dying was too much for her, it was a cruelty not meant for anyone, one that was driving her insane with extreme grief.
"She will, son. She will." Lincoln somberly replied.
It didn't sound genuine in his ears, but he refused to dwell on such negative thinking and pushed forward hopeful beliefs to tame his aching heart. They had to stay strong. They had to keep hope. But despite everything that is occurring the only concern for him was Lyra, as selfish as it may be she was all he held dear. Really messed up to be prioritizing at a time like this, but again-she was his soulmate and carrying their unborn child. He needed to find her. Now.
"Stay home. Stay with Lupa. Lucy should be arriving soon. Lynn and I are staying here. Please don't do anything stupid Lemy. Please, I beg you." Ending the call Lemy remained quiet, enthralled by all everything, consumed by all of it.
Through all of this, Lupa had been weeping near the corner. Engrossed by fear she had her dear sister in heart and mind. It was too unfair to deny this hard truth. Lacy was in intensive care with a possible fatal bullet wound and from what she managed to hear in-between sobs, it sounds like Lyra was now missing. Her past came back to haunt her and their cheerful, kind-hearted sister was close to death's door because of it.
"Lem...what did dad say?" She needed answers, demanded to know what more had been said about this tragic predicament.
He said nothing. The teenager and father-to-be remained silent to her pleas. Giving his back to her she could not see the swirling storm of emotions possessing his features. Lupa could no longer stand this painful silence and grabbed him roughly by the arm and spun him around.
"Talk to me! What are we going to do?"
"...find her."
"Wh-what?"
"We are going to find her."
Handing her back the phone he headed towards the garage. Lupa was stumped with his words and followed. Entering the garage where the secondary car of the family was parked inside, he grabbed the keys off the wall rack. Understanding what he was doing she stopped him by the arm.
"What are you doing?" Hissing, she pressed her fingernails into his arm. She knew what he was doing, but she felt the need to be validated by his honest response.
"Lyra needs me. That bastard has her. Has them!" Lemy pulled his arm away from her and unlocked the car that had been parked for the past two months.
The vehicle in question was capable of being driven, but it did have a few errors in regards to the faulty transmission that would choke the longer it was driven. The job to have it fixed had been postponed many times due to untimely circumstances, thus it remained in the garage collecting dust for the time-being...until this exact moment of crisis. Lemy knew that the car in question could fail him driving down the street, but he could care less about such small trivial matters, his beloved and child needed him.
"You are not going anywhere!" Lupa raised her voice.
"Try and stop me!" He definitely stared back. Cranking up the engine of the long-neglected car.
"No...you're not going anywhere without me stupid." She pressed the button on the wall that operated the garage door, the door rose from the ground and allowed the natural air and sunlight of the outside world to gush in.
Lupa ran to the other side of the car and swung open the passenger car and stepped in. Closing the door she put on the seat belt and eyed him, mentally telling him to stomp on the pedal. Lemy nodded, and shifted to reversal. Hitting the gas pedal the car flew out of the garage and into the street, knocking the trash-can down, littering the bags of waste into the asphalt. Quickly shifting back to drive Lemy and Lupa raced above the speed limit towards the scene of the crime and rescue Lyra.
Atlanta International Airport…
The jet-lag was too real for her, but at least she had arrived in one single piece. Taking a seat on a nearby bench in the terminal, Luna stretched out her muscles and relaxed for a minute before heading out the gates and search for her driver. Lucky for her nobody had yet to recognize her and pester her for autographs. She would gladly sign or take selfies with her fans, but during in-between airports she had to decline and risk missing her flight.
Checking her phone she clicks on the twitter app and checks for any worthy news or posts for her to like or share. Scanning the page and giving likes to her followers and fellow certified celebrities her screen page was obstructed by an incoming call. It was Lincoln, he must already be checking for a status update on her flight.
"Hello." Luna placed the phone to her ear. The smile on her face quickly faded away alongside the rest of her relaxed demeanor as she was being told of the terrible situation occurring back home.
As hundreds of travelers shuffled from one end of the terminal to the other, Luna sat in stunning silence, the world around her slowing down as her mind attempted to comprehend the ill news she was listening to. All she had in her mind at that moment were images of her eldest daughter and nothing more.
Downtown Royal Woods…
Truth to its nature, the old civic was already giving them trouble as quickly as they had raced down the lane towards Lyra's last known location to them all. The damn transmission would constantly screech and rumble every time Lemy would take a sharp turn or momentarily pause for a brake to let a car pass to check for incoming traffic when reaching a crossroad. Lupa held on to her seatbelt for dear life as her brother swerved and skidded past other drivers to reach the grocery store.
She had yet to actually learn how to drive herself, but Lemy had good enough experience on his own to get them around. Too bad most of that experience was joyriding with school friends and accidently bumping into parked cars, but regardless he was doing a great job at not crashing them while in a bad state of mind.
Thankfully they arrived in one piece.
Slowly driving and parking across the street from the parking lot both teens watched tentatively from afar. The forensic team was cleaning and dusting up the crime scene as police officers stood guard around the perimeter. There was no way to get in and not be caught, no way to search for clues or get an idea of what kind of car Lyra was hauled into and what direction he took her to.
"There is no way in…" Lupa pointed out as both siblings stared ahead, "There has to be another way."
"There has to be something!" He angrily slammed the steering wheel.
"Let's look around." Lupa exited the car with Lemy following.
The frustration above his limit, but there was nothing else to do. Following Lupa he envisioned unsavory thoughts involving Lyra and it was only increasing his unstable temperament. Shaking them away he tried to stay focused, she was still out there, somewhere waiting for him crying for his help and here he was far away with no idea on which direction to take. Lupa kept her pace looking around, analyzing the environment, checking for any possible signs that may just help them figure out Lyra's whereabouts.
"There has to be some cameras in these other shops that may have recorded everything." Lupa scanned the stores in front of them, passing each one after getting a full look at them.
"We need to move." He said behind her. The irritation in his voice was clear to her ears.
Checking ahead they reached an alleyway splitting the block in half. Now standing directly across from the parking lot they had reached a dead end. There was nothing else to do here. Lemy kicked the curb in absolute anguish, they were lost without directions. He was just about ready to scream out to the heavens when Lupa tugged at his shoulder regaining his focus to her.
"Over there." She pointed at a man loitering about, a homeless man to be exact.
She approached the man without hesitation as Lemy wondered what she could get out of this man. The man who appeared in his fifties took notice of the two teenagers approaching him and quickly grabbed a small lunch box and hugged it tight against his chest, more likely his money that he had managed to collect or other valuables. Eyeing them with suspicion he slowly took a step back ready to run if they reached out for his stuff.
"Hey mister, want a dollar?" Lupa pulled out a folded dollar bill and showed it to the man. It was a twenty dollar bill and that was enough to enlighten the vagrant's mood.
"Whatcha wants wit me?" He asked her, confusion remaining in his voice.
Lupa tilted her head over to the crime scene across from them, "Did you see anything? A girl in her twenties, brown short hair. She was...she was with a younger...girl who was...shot." The words felt like bitter poison in her mouth, it was still too surreal for her to admit Lacy's current condition. She was mentally praying for her survival.
"Sure I saw the whole damn thing go down." The man admitted without missing a beat or pausing to think it thoroughly.
"You better be not lying to us right now!" Lemy pushed pass Lupa and got up in the older man's face, "You better not be saying bullshit for fucking $20! Did you really see what happened, yes or no?"
"Jesus you little brat, I did...well not right away I did to be accurate."
"Explain?" Lupa grabbed Lemy and pulled him away from the man.
"I was on the other side of this alley when that girl got shot. I heard the noise and well, I wanted to see, curious and such. I was right here in this spot here when I saw that girl you is talking about the older one with short brown hair getting dragged by this young guy to a grey car parked near the exit of the lot there. She was screaming and crying." He recalled the events to the two, remembering the whole scene that had happened about half an hour ago.
"What kind of car was it and which way did they go?" Lupa demanded, she was being much more calm than Lemy who was using all his willpower to not self-destruct. She was a vortex of chaos within, but unlike her brother she had mastered the ability to control her poker face, she can thank her mother for those sessions.
"A regular four door, clean, brand new by the looks and all was tinted too. It had Indiana plates that's for sure, guy must be out of town." He added and scratched his head attempting to remember anything else.
"Right, right, right. They took off south down the old town road. That's pretty much it and I mean it." He said.
Both felt a massive weight being lifted off their shoulders at all the information that this random pedestrian had given them. It was all they needed. They could start searching for her properly now. Lupa looked back at the man who was waiting for his reward to be handed over to him.
"Why the fuck have you not walked across this fucking street and spoken with the officers about everything you fucking saw?" She glared evilly at him.
"They're cops, thought they already had it figured out. Didn't really give too much thought into it okay."
Lupa rolled her eyes at the man's excuse and handed over the money to him. Turning around, both teens raced back to their malfunctioning vehicle and hopped in. Putting on their seat belts, Lemy turned on the engine and skidded away with the transmission making an ugly noise as they drove away from the grocery store. Lupa wanted to yell at him to not burn tire and drive away like a madman in plain view of a group of police officers guarding the crime scene, but they were racing against the clock and Lyra's life was hanging by a single thin tread.
"We'll find her." Lupa reassured Lemy who had acquired tunnel vision.
"I know. We will." He replied back and accelerated the speed.
Outskirts Of Town…
It all went straight to hell. How could it be that everything she had reclaimed had already been stripped away from her? This was not supposed to happen, he was not supposed to be here, she was meant to finally be free from his torment. Instead no court order was able to contain his obsession with her. Now because of said obsession, Lacy was laying in a pool of her own blood and here she was handcuffed and held hostage by her psychotic ex-boyfriend.
There wasn't much for her to do with her hands immobilized and even if she tried, Caleb had his handgun on his lap with the finger on the trigger. She had stopped screaming for help and at him once he slapped her and aimed the barrel of the gun to her chin, now she was just crying and staring out the window, watching the many cars, streets and buildings passing by. They were already in the city limits of Royal Woods, once reaching the highway it would be a one-way street for them to never be seen again.
"Stupid...stupid...fucking stupid." Caleb angrily muttered raising his gun up and tapping the side of his head with the barrel in frustration.
"Your sister is a stupid fucking bitch. This is your fault, she is dead because of you. You fucking ran off and now all this shit is happening." He scolded her for his own criminal actions, too focused on escaping this small town with her to fully understand his wrong-doings.
"Fuck you Caleb! You didn't have to shoot her you fucking piece of-" Lyra got clocked above the eyebrow with the handle of his handgun. Wincing in pain she could feel a trickle of warm liquid pouring out from the exact spot.
"Shut the fuck up Lyra! Fuck her, fuck the judge, fuck your parents and fuck anyone else who fucking dares get between us ever again!" He shouted, barely dodging a car coming the opposite lane.
His driving had become more erratic as was his current mind-state. It had been a miracle that they had yet to accidentally run over an innocent bystander or collide head-first with another driver. Then again she did hope; even though it was horrible for her to think so, that he would cause an accident that would leave him dazed long enough for her to make her escape. But so far he was making a clear bee-line out of town with limited traffic to oppose them. Where on earth were the patrol units? A full red alert should have been given out by now for his arrest and capture.
Looking ahead she saw the highway sign saying that they were fast approaching the main interstate that would lead them down south to Indiana. The fear grew even more knowing that she was getting farther and farther away from the safety of her family, away from Lemy. Frantically, she began to debate whether to wrestle the gun away from him or not, too much of a risk, especially when she is carrying her child.
"Please...Caleb...I won't tell them anything. I promise you that." Lyra begged him.
"Too late for that babe...too fucking late for that." Caleb sneered back at her, "I refuse to give you up, you are mine."
"I...used to love you. Why can't you respect that? Why can't you just let me go! Leave me be!" Lyra screamed at him. He rolled his eyes at her, not caring much for her charade of emotions.
"You killed our child. Are you going to kill me too?" Lyra hissed at him, the malice of that memory coming into full display.
"I did not know!" Caleb exploded, taking his eyes off the road he glared murderous daggers at her because of that reminder, "You should have told me! Why the fuck did you not say anything? Why the fuck didn't-"
"Caleb the road!" Lyra attempted to reach for the wheel as he looked back and saw them aiming straight for a passing eighteen wheeler truck from a crossroads they had reached and failed to notice.
Stepping on the brakes was not enough to slow down the immense speed that had been accumulated by his car and avoid the collision that was meant to be.
A Couple Of Miles Behind…
The civic was starting to slow down and tear down. The transmission was on the verge of shutting down completely and left them stranded on the side of the road, but for the two teenagers commandeering the faulty vehicle they were going to juice out as much distance and power out of the machine until it fully shutdown.
Having checked the maps on her app, Lupa had concluded that Lyra and her kidnapper were most likely headed down the main interstate leading down to Indiana, it was the only route that made sense, risky, but the fastest route out of Michigan and deep into the American heartland. So far they had, yet to spot a grey car with Indiana license plates, but they kept a sharp eye for any suspicious activity that hopefully will lead them to finding Lyra.
"How are we going to approach this?" Lupa pulled him back from his thoughts.
"What you mean?" He asked.
"That asshole has a gun...how are we going to stop him when we catch up to them?" Now that was a fair and legitimate question for them to consider beforehand.
"We'll deal with it when we get there." Lemy replied back, not much of a plan for her comfort.
Lupa placed her hand in her sweater's pocket and toyed around with an object she was keeping around and out of view from her brother, "Okay…we will."
The car made another screeching sound coming from directly underneath them and came to a sudden halt. Cranking up the ignition was not working and that only brought forth Lemy's temper to the maximum.
"For fucks sake not now! Come on, you piece of dogshit!" He cursed the failing vehicle as Lupa sat in silence.
For a moment there the car had seemingly died on them, the battery was still full, the engine was great, but the bottom half had given up all its energy and finally burned out. Now stranded in the city limits their chances of catching up to Lyra had gone from slim to non-existent. Exiting the car Lupa looked around to see if there was possibly anything beneath the car that may have caused them to come to a sudden halt. Lemy continued to aggressively switch on-and-off the ignition keys to no effect.
"I'm calling dad." Lupa said.
"Fucking shit!" Was his only reply.
Searching for her father's number in her list of contacts she debated whether on how to explain their predicament. None of that came to be as an incoming vehicle approached the stranded teenagers and slowed down to apparently give them some roadside assistance.
"You kids okay out there?" The man called out, exiting the car and approaching the two.
"Car died on us. We need to get somewhere quick." She explained to the good Samaritan.
The Crash Site…
A throbbing pain echoed around her skull. The pain was not just there, it traveled across her body as a whole. Her arm was in pain, her knee was in pain...her mid-section was in pain. Looking around in a daze she could see that they had crashed into the front end straight into the side of the semi-truck, just barely dodging those massive wheels that would have crushed them into a bloody splatter combined with scrap metal.
She could feel the blood on her forehead, gushing out down and painting the left side of her face in crimson color. Raising her right arm, she lowered it back down as a sting clicked into her bicep, most likely bruised. The window had completely shattered and hundreds of small pieces of glass cutting them both with dozens of small cuts and medium-sized lacerations.
The airbag had saved their lives, but the injuries were still prevalent. Checking to her right, Caleb was unconscious, alive, but unconscious. She could care less for him and ignored him to focus on prying the door open. Her arm being injured was not giving her the full strength to push open the jammed door. Pushing hard against the door with her shoulder, she felt a kick of pain in her womb.
"No, no, no, no, no." Lyra's fear came into full view as old memories began to plague her once more.
Unable to contain herself, the tears began to pour out in mass at the horrible possibility. Crying without care she clutched her womb, refusing to accept that outcome while at the same time believing it so. Too preoccupied with her mental breakdown the driver of the semi-truck had exited his ride and approached the totaled car to assist. The first person he saw first was the brunette girl crying all too herself.
"Miss, are you okay? Does anything hurt?" He called out to her.
She could hear his voice, but her mind was too damaged for her to respond back. Her thoughts were only on her child and on the fear of losing this one as well. It was happening all over again.
"Don't worry, miss, just stay put. Let me just pull this damn door off." The trucker pulled back on the jammed passenger door. He was a large man in weight more than in size, but had the appropriate strength to capitalize in prying the door.
A few pulls later and the door swung right open. Lyra was now free and able to get out. He reached out to unbuckle her and slowly helped her out from the damaged car. Still crying she didn't resist nor say anything back, but was thankful to now be safe.
"Is he okay? I already called the paramedics, they shoul-'' The sentence came to a sudden halt as a single bullet exploded into the poor man's throat.
Lyra froze up and stared at the man that had helped her out, now bleeding on the floor with both hands on her neck, blood gushing out like a flood. All her senses came back and she looked back to Caleb who was still trapped in his seat, but his free arm holding on to the handgun and aiming it at her.
Lyra ducked on all fours as a second shot pierced the silence of the highway, only missing her by a few inches. With not much else she crawled away from the crashed car as Caleb remained stuck and possibly still aiming for her. She needed to get away and fast, but looking around there weren't any buildings in sight; just an open road in all directions.
"Lyra! Don't you dare run away from me again!" He yelled out to her, struggling to free himself.
She refused to respond. Refused to give herself away as she crawled away from him. The best course of action for her was to reach the other side of the semi-truck and many climb inside and hide until the authorities arrived at the crash scene. It was her safest bet; other than just run aimlessly out in open fields as an easy target for her ex to gun down.
"Lyra! I didn't mean to shoot at you! Let's just talk okay?" She refused to listen, and didn't believe a single word out of his mouth. She just needed to get away.
Crawling and keeping close to the ground she was halfway across to the safety of the truck when a gunshot went off and the bullet ricocheted just a feet away from her torso. Caleb had finally managed to pry himself out of the driver's seat and was now squeezing himself out of his own door. Now exposed, she stood up to her feet and made a run for it.
"Argh!"
Caleb aimed and shot her right on the ankle of her right leg, dropping her hard to the ground.
The extreme pain of having a hot led bullet embedded into her flesh was beyond comprehension. Clutching tight into her bullet wound she attempted to stand up again, but made the mistake of stepping down on her short foot and the pressure of her body weight increased the pain of her wound. Dropping back down she opted to crawl on her hands and knees, but by that point her endeavor of escaping had become obsolete.
Limping with a bad leg of his own, Caleb made his way towards Lyra who remained on the ground and meekly dragged herself as best as she could away from him.
"Shit…" He winced at his own injuries, the crash did a number on them both and it was a miracle that both were capable of moving about, then again it must be the adrenaline running in their veins keeping on their feet.
"That was pretty stupid of us...don't you agree?" He stopped about a few meters from her, clutching his hand into his ribcage, clearly something had gotten broken.
"S..stop this…" She begged him, too hurt, exhausted and bloody to move any further, "Please...don't."
Caleb said nothing back and silently stared at her, looked her directly in the eyes. Long ago those eyes were his world, they were his obsession and still were. He had come too far, broke every single law to be here, shot and most likely killed two meddlesome individuals; all to get her back. There was no coming back from this. Prison was not his to claim so a life on the run was his future now. Why was she so unique? Why was this girl trembling before him so appealing? Of all the women he has slept with, Lyra was the only one to grab ahold of him and let the whole world be damned if it denied him his property back.
Unable to read his thoughts she held in her breath, unsure of his next move. Maybe this was it for her. No reason for him to drag her away anymore, the only viable option was to end it here and now. But was he capable of such an act? Not the first time a murder-suicide by a scorn lover had been documented, she was too afraid to speak up. She could only look back at those empty eyes of his as he slowly raised the handgun to her.
The gunshot to end her life never came for his attempt at murder was intercepted by a furious young man and his strong right hook.
"Lemy!" Lyra screamed out as both he and Caleb collapsed to the ground.
"You idiot be careful!" Lupa ran not too far behind, heading towards Lyra to assist.
They did manage to reach them after all. The good Samaritan that had given them some roadside assistance had opted to drive them back to town, but unfortunately Lemy had different plans and both teens ended up commandeering the vehicle and leaving the man stranded by the road next to their totaled car.
As both men wrestled on the ground, Lupa kneeled next to Lyra and helped her up with all her strength. Seeing her critical condition made the younger girl's heart drop. Lyra was beyond injured; a bloody mess to be exact. Another horrid thought came to her and she eyed her sister's injured boy, placing her hand on Lyra's womb.
"How are you? Is...he, she okay?" Lyra raised an eyebrow to her. She knew? Since when?
"I...don't know." Lyra grunted as she and Lupa slowly walked away.
With Lemy and Caleb the struggle continued. Lemy had so far managed to restrain Caleb's hand from aiming the gun back at him and was using his other arm to elbow him in the face. Caleb used his own free arm to grab Lemy's full face and push him off of him. All those elbow strikes had ended up cutting him in the eyebrow and a river of flood began to pour out from said wound. Raising his knee up he nailed Lemy in the groin with it, paralyzing the younger fighter stiff. With an opening Caleb shoved him off and aimed his gun at him. Lemy's body reacted quickly and with both hands he grabbed the arm and locked it underneath his armpit with his hand and gun behind him.
Both scrambled back up to their feet and tanked back and forth from each other. Cable used his free arm to make a fist and proceeded to punch Lemy's face multiple times.
"You little motherfucker! I'm going to kill you!" Caleb yelled at him.
Lemy could not defend himself from the barrage of punches that Caleb was giving him with his left hand as he was using both arms to keep his right arm from coming loose, if he let go then Caleb would immediately have mobility to shoot him dead. For now he had no choice but to withstand the beating to his face.
"Caleb stop it!" Lyra cried out as both girls watched as their brother's face became a bloody mess.
Fourteen punches in and Lemy still refused to let go and give him the upper hand, no matter how damaged his face was getting he refused to let go and have him injure either Lyra and Lupa. His left eye was now swollen and his lips all busted open with cuts on every part of his face bleeding out as Caleb's solid punches smashed him in. The strikes were strong and painful, yet he refused to give up that easily.
"I'm so going to kill you now." Caleb grunted, his own hand already bruised and hurting from constantly hitting Lemy's skull in.
'Don't let go. They need to get away first. Don't...let...go' Lemy was on the verge of blacking out, a few more punches and it would be lights out for him.
"Fuck you dipshit!" Lupa had left Lyra behind and jumped on Caleb's back, holding on to him like a crazed monkey.
She wrapped one arm around his throat and with the other pulled out a switchblade that she had kept hidden in her pocket and started to stab the older guy relentlessly. Caleb screamed out in pain as Lupa stabbed him multiple times in the chest, shoulder and arm. He couldn't pull back as Lemy still held him in place so he was trapped in a very bad scenario. With his free hand he grabbed Lupa by the hair and yanked at her hard, but the fiery goth would not give in that easily.
Lemy lost his strength and collapsed on his knees allowing Caleb free reign of his right arm once more. With a quick motion he aimed the handgun backwards to Lupa's head and fired one shot. Lupa let go of him and fell down to the floor.
"Lupa!' Lyra screamed out for her. Was she dead she hadn't a clue.
In fact she wasn't as the bullet had only grazed her earlobe and left her momentarily deaf on said ear. As she stuck to the floor Caleb staggered away holding on to his many punctured wounds, all leaking blood. His breathing was heavy and he failed to form a single sentence as the pain was too great to allow him. Lupa definitely did a gruesome number on him. Dropping his handgun he fell on both knees and hands, breathing harder as all the blood was spilling on the asphalt.
Raising his head up he caught sight of Lyra once more. Leaning against the trailer she stood scouting the entire scene. All four of them were injured with the body of the trucker not that far away. It was an entire bloody mess.
"Ly...ra." He gasped.
He used all his strength to stand up again, but that was as far as he made it. Lemy had regained enough consciousness to stagger towards him, grab the handgun from the ground, aim it on the side of his head and pull the trigger. The bullet exploded from one cheek and exited out the other. The blunt force enough to drop him on the ground, dead or alive, Caleb was done for.
"Lemy!" She limped towards him.
Exhausted he fell back down on his knees still holding on to the very same handgun that shot his sister Lacy not too long ago. Lupa was regaining her own bearings with a loud high-pitch buzz on her right ear. She saw Lemy being embraced by Lyra while Caleb lay prone on the ground. By god she hoped that asshole was dead. Seeing her brother and sister were safe and sound, minus the multiple apparent injuries Lupa gave out a weak smile knowing that it was finally over. She should really call either her parents or the authorities at this point.
"Oh God Lemy you're hurt!" Lyra held him close.
"Ju-just a...scratch." He grinned back.
"You silly moron." Lyra cried, smiling down at his stupid bravery.
He looked like a battered MMA fighter, but it was all necessary to take down Caleb, she loved him for it, ready to injure his body for her and others. He reached out for her and wiped away some of the blood stained to her face.
"You look great." He chuckled.
"Shut up." Lyra smiled back at him. She gently laid him down, resting his head on her lap for comfort.
Looking down at her his smile dropped as he remembered a very important detail about her, "How's the kid?" Lyra jolted back in surprise, first Lupa now he knew too? However it did not matter at that moment how he came to know, for he was asking the proper question.
"I...don't know...I don't-" Lemy cut her off with a hand to her mouth.
"It's all going to be okay. She'll be fine." He promised.
"She?" Lyra said with a smile, "You want a girl?"
"Sure...why not?" He smiled back.
Both smiled at each other. Off in the distance the sirens of incoming paramedics or police units were heard and fast approaching. This entire day had been a terrible one, so many bad tribulations, but in the end it came to an end. This family could live on without any more fear from the past and focus on the perfect future in store for them.
"Alice." Lemy looked at Lyra, "I like Alice."
"That's a pretty name."
The End.
