"She what!? what the hell are you talking about?" Levy setted down the line, she called Gray immediately after Lucy ended the call, panic driving thought her system

it was 4am and she was 3 blocks away from Lucy's house frozen to her core when she sees the paramedics and cop cars outside the small white house

"i know its alot to take in...but trust me...she didnt have any other choice but its true...she's gone"

The pain they'd go through in the following days and months. The pain her mother would live with for the rest of her life. How could she think this is the only way out, the only way to save Natsu?

And somehow, deep down, Gray understood Lucy's choice. It all started because ahe was willing to risk her life, to give her very soul to a demon for the most important person in her life at the time, her mother

This was no different. She risked her life for the person she loved most, to care for her and protect her. Lucy truly was a kind soul, but in the end, she couldn't save the people who love her most in the world from the pain they'd feel for the rest of their lives.

"Paramedics on scene say the girl passed peacefully in her sleep during the night. This case is odd for a boy of her age, and the coroner will be looking into any possible cause. Neighbors and close friends of the family say Lucy Heartfilia was a sweet, giving person who would stop at nothing to brighten the days of others. Sje will be deeply missed. More on the story to come.. Two counties over, it is news that.." the same words went through one ear, and out the other every 30 minutes as the news played in the background. Gray knew it would be this way, his best friend had passed away.

You'd think it would hurt less, because he knew in advance and that he'd see him again one day, but it didn't. It pained him that such a good, giving person had to go through this, to make such choices and sacrifices.

He couldn't imagine the state that Lucy's mother was in, he couldn't Instead, he sat emotionless on the couch, curled into a ball listening to how the death of his best friend was now merely a story on the news.

When Lucy woke up, she could hardly feel her limbs. She wiggled her toes, then fingers and then slowly worked her way up. It was odd, everything felt different.

When her eyes eventually pushed open, she looked around for a moment. she stared up at the familiar ceiling of Natsu's bedroom, plain grey stone as it always had been.

She blinked a few times, some soft and others harder. hee eyes were slightly sore, she had nobody to blame but herself due to the amount of tears ahe shed the night before.

Lucy carefully sat up, looking around the room for Natsu. Coming up short, Lucy sighed. She was alone with her thoughts in the more than familiar bedroom.

She assumed she was dead, but had no recollection after shutting her eyes. She could practically still feel Natsu's arms encircled around her and the firey burn on his eyes and entirety of his body.

She wondered about how things were back on Earth, if hee mother is okay. She hoped that her death wouldn't be too triggering, although she knew it'd hurt her for a while.

She trusted that she'd always love her, and healthily move on. Maybe she'll be able to visit her one day, to see her again. But for now, she'd protect and trust Natsu.

Lucy was broken from her heavy thoughts by the sound of a door opening, her eyes flickering upwards to see who entered. And to her surprise, it wasn't Natsu.

Sting entered, his bare feet lightly dragging on floor, stepping closer and closer to the large bed. Lucy swallowed, nerves building quickly.

He paused just a few feet from the end of the bed, hands deep in his pockets as he stared back at Lucy. Lucy's mouth opened and closed as she searched her brain for something to say.

"They suit you well, you must be happy, huh?" He didn't say anything else, his voice deep and slightly intimidating but nowhere near as intimidating as Natsu.

Lucy didn't understand, didn't even bother to fully process his words as she watched Sting leave the room. The words Sting told him the morning she summoned him rang in her head, even after taking his advice.

Lucy sighed when the door was shut, leaving her alone once again. Her body flopped back onto the bed, a rush of air pushing between her lips as her eyes roamed the familiar ceiling.

As her body calmed, she focused on the buzz in her veins. She felt so energized, like she could run hundreds of miles without a break. As she focused more on her body, She found herself slowly becoming more turned on. How, odd.

Lucy sat up, deciding to busy herself and find Natsu. Her toes touched the floor, the untouched coolness of it waking her body. It almost surprised her how cool the floor was compared to normal. She finally looked down at her bottom half, covered in black satin, comfortable and the connected satin cloth tied on her shoulders covering her cherries

She opened the bedroom door, looking to the left and then the right. And there he was, walking towards her. He wore the same clothes as always, his toned body less pale than it had been when he was a mortal. Dull red orbs stared back down the dark hallway, a shining smile to compliment it all soon growing on his pink lips.

Natsu took the last few steps closer to his half dressed girl, loving the way her long legs looked in the satin. But his eyes hardly lingered on her body, a bright smile on his lips for a much different reason.

"You're awake, finally.." He paused, his hands laying flat on Lucy's cheeks before laying a kiss on her forehead, "Did you see it? In the mirror?" Lucy shook his head, eyebrows creasing. What are they talking about? Is there something on her face? Is her hair messy? Did a horrendous pimple rise on her face?

Natsu didn't say anything, grabbing her hand before tugging her back into his bedroom, to the attached bathroom. Lucy followed obediently, while her other hand absentmindedly patted down her potential bed head.

When Natsu flickered on the light in the familiar bathroom, Lucy's jaw immediately fell open. Two beautiful sets of red eyes shined back in the mirror. Lucy blinked over, and over but they never changed. she could hardly believe it.

Her brown eyes that her mother relentlessly beat into her mind that they were the most beautiful color during her childhood were now replaced with the same eye color that she admired from Natsu, the eyes she loved since they first met on that rainy afternoon in Lucy's home.

Natss's supportive hands slide down from her wrist, holding onto her hand as if she'd disappear before his eyes, "What do you think, Lucy?" His voice was soft and comforting, inviting.

Lucy nodded. "They're beautiful. W-When d-di-"

Natsu cut her off, "When your heart stopped yesterday, I panicked. I'm not gonna lie. I knew Zeref had everything under control, but I was so worried. He did the spell immediately and tied our souls together before you ever fully passed, that way there'd be no chance of mistake." Natsu smiled to the smaller girl through the mirror, Lucy loved his smile. She could stare at it forever, she'd be able to stare at it for all of eternity.

Lucy turned to Natsu, laying her head on his open, bare chest and hugging his waist. She wasn't sure what dawned on her, what urged her to suddenly hug him. But she needed it.

"Is it okay?" Natsu whispered into Lucy's ear, letting the new demon hug him as tightly as she craved.

Lucy didn't respond, just nodding twice as they stood in the bathroom that continued to create more and more memories. Lucy's mind filled with the moments they had spent bathing in here, along with many of their other memories. It made her heart swell.

She let her eyes open as she peeked over Natsu's tall shoulder, eyes wandering till they landed on the tub. She remembered how hot the water had been, and how uneffected Natsu was to the steaming water.

"Can we take a bath?" Lucy asked suddenly, pulling from the hug with a full, playful smile.

Natsu nodded, "Of course, I'll run you a bath. It's been a long da-" Lucy giggled, cutting off Natsu's sweet gesture.

"No, no. Together. Let's take a bath together." Lucy hushed words forced the sweetest smile to form on the typically cold demon, a nod following

Just minutes later, the two ended up naked before each other, sweet pecks being delivered to Lucy's smooth shoulders, on her neck and hands, and to her pretty lips. Lucy returned the affections, their actions innocent and pure as they wait for the water to fill in the bathtub. Giggles erupted when Natsu kissed her ticklish spots, echoing in the bathroom.

"Let's get in.." Natsu spoke up after watching Lucy with loving, careful eyes. He let his eyes linger on her beautifully long legs, flat stomach, and arms. His eyes sparkled the same beautiful color as her own, he couldn't help but to think Lucy looked better with them than he did.

Together they stepped into the water, Lucy noticing immediately that the water wasn't nearly as hot as it was the last time they bathed together. I guess he really did become immune to heat like Natsu.

They sat in the same position, Lucy's back to Natsu's front, but this time the new demon sat comfortably and relaxed. After all, she had nothing to hide from the other. Natsu's arms circled around Lucy's frame, holding her close and resting his head onto her shoulder.

This position gave him easy access to Lucy's perfectly smooth skin of her neck, soft pecks being planted there as Lucy ran her hands up and down Natsu's legs that sat on either side of him.

It was sweet, comforting, warm. Everything about this moment had both of their hearts bursting with happiness. It wasn't awkward, or tense as their last bath had been, but instead the complete opposite.

It was when Natsu's loving pecks turned into sloppy open mouth kisses, spreading from behind her ears down her jaw and neck, that Lucy felt the blood rush between her legs, and her head tilt to the side to allow Natsu more room to assault the skin of her neck. Lucy's eyes fluttered shut, hands pausing their soft caresses on Natsu legs to hold on.

"I don't have to worry about hurting you anymore." Natsu mumbled against Lucy's skin, a smile forming but he didn't stop his open mouth kisses, resulting in small bites against her skin.

It only made her quickly twitch inside. SHe was almost ashamed how quickly she got wet for the demon behind her, over simple kisses to her neck. A blush rose to her cheeks as she thought about it.

"W-What do you mean?" Lucy asked, trying to steady her breathing.

"It's hard to do, well- have sex with a human. They're fragile, easy to break, ruin. I was scared to hurt you, and I was in denial for so long that I was worried if we did anything I'd come to terms with my emotions. That's why I avoided you when I needed a soul to play with". He paused, his hands finding their way to laying flat on Lucy's sides under the bath water. " tried my hardest to be gentle last time, but now I don't need to worry about it. You're a demon, you heal quickly and you share my powers."

Lucy listened closely to his explaination, understanding why Natsu chose not to come to her before, "So, I'm stronger now as a demon?"

"Incredibly stronger." Natsu paused, "Don't you feel the buzz in your veins? Energized?"

Lucy nodded as Natsu continued to kiss and bite as her neck, trying to ignore the feeling between his legs and her burning desire to back his bottom up closer between Natsu's legs and beg for him.

"Look at me, baby." The simple request had Lucy turning her head back immediately to look Natsu in his eyes, the ones that now shown a bright red and matched her own.

The smirk that grew on Natsu's lips and the way his hands tightened enough to leave bruises on Lucy's hips made Lucy confuse before the elder demon spoke up. "Tell me what you want."

Lucy blushed heavily as she tried to think of a response, "I-I, w-what? Want what?" Natsu's smirk grew into a smile, amused with his new demon's confusion.

"Bright, fire red eyes can only signal two things: Anger, or need." He paused, hands running up and down Lucy's sides, fingertips too close to the new demon's heat "You're having a flair up. You're now the embodiment of sin of lust just as I am, baby"

Lucy could feel Natsu's hardening cock behind her, pressed near her ass and only making her more needy, "The first one is always the worst, kind of like a dog in heat, but I'll take care of you."

Lucy couldn't hide the fact that she was nervous, it wasn't the first time, but now she was a demon. Natsu didn't have to hold back this time. Lucy knew what was to come when Natsu said that she would heal faster.

Natsu's hand slowly ran over the length of Lucy's abdomen before reaching her aching folds, a whine immediately pushing from the back of the new demon's throat when Natsu palmed it. Lucy's eyes shut, relief filling her body as the firey need was attended to.
