Chapter 7 Idiots on Mission

Trivia #7: Oozuchi Kozuchi (the kusarigama) is actually a very nitpicking weapon. Suguru suspects that it has a consciousness of its own (unconfirmed but true) and chooses its user based on a set criteria

P.S.: There's an important announcement at the end

Without any sign of caution and casually playing around with the kusarigama, Kuma strolled around like she owned the place. Small Curses littered around, just as she expected. On top of being a hospital, the place was also abandoned. The negative energy pools around from both the grief and anger, the regrets of the dead, the fear of losing their cherished people, the paranoia from an abandoned site, not to mention the countless emotions she has yet to name mixed in. It was no wonder that a Special Grade Curse formed here.

Unwilling to bother with the small fry, she simply let her Curse Energy flare up exponentially without any care if it'll run out. The trivial Curses were exorcised instantly, screeching as they attempted to run from who seemed to be walking hellfire from their viewpoint. Amanozako was practically thrumming in joy from the overwhelming energy her creator is exuding, basking in the show of power. And while this would chase the other Curses away, it was an irresistible lure for the strongest catch around.

"F̸̦̫̬̯̭͎͂͜͝o̶͍͙͚̘̼̬̠̜͎͗̏̓̀͐͐͘ͅù̵͙͉̪̙̒̌n̸̛̖̝͔̳̱̼̬̗̆͘͝͠d̸̢̰̺̭͚͓͈̖̖͌͗̉͆̓͝ ̸̬͙͙̣͍͈̯̪͙̔̈́̓͛̏̉̽͋͝ÿ̵̡̦̦̲͖͍͓́̈́ơ̸̰̳̊͌͘ų̵͇͙̝̆̿̃́~̵̛̖̭̒̂́̈̈́̈́͝" A crazed grin spread on her glossy lips, befitting of a predatory glint that matched the sharpness of the sickle and her platinum orbs.

She could clearly sense the presence of the Special Grade Curse in her range, just around the corner and steadily working its way towards her. Perhaps "steadily" would be inaccurate considering the booming crashes of the wall as the Curse destroyed everything in its path to meet its new foe. Unfortunately for it, Kuma has never really been the one to wait patiently, has she?

Smirk only growing wilder with every passing second, she expertly poured an abundance of Curse Energy into the kusarigama. The chain elongated on her control, weight settling on the floor and increasingly heavier in response to her energy as it dented the concrete ground. A screech was heard as the Special Grade Curse approached. But it had no time to show its face before Kuma swung the chain with all her might, weight following suit and slamming to the Curse then crashing through the countless hospital walls. She ran after it with destruction and insanity in her wake, Curse Energy blaring with ferocious domination.

Skidding to a stop with a hand on her hips, Kuma stood still amidst the dust covering the area. A small frown was evident on her expression, irked at how the Curse went down so easily. "Don't tell me it's over already? It can't be that weak...can it?"

As if provoked by the mockery she showed, debris scattering everywhere as the Curse stood up in all its glory. Though from her perspective it was doing a terrible job to appear menacing even as it towered over her. Its appearance was that of a typical ghost one would see from a hospital horror movie, long frizzy hair dragging at the ground and a torn white gown looking awfully old. The only thing out of place was the large blue fireball floating on top of its head, a hitodama she supposed. Was it an accumulation of all the regrets from the dead and their cherished people?

Either way it doesn't matter, all she has to do is defeat it and prove herself to make Satoru eat his own words. Her Curse Energy responded in kind to her will, playfully so as the chain became heavier in her hand and the blade of the kusarigama lighting up in Curse Energy. "Let's play tag shall we? I'll be it so run. Run for your life, little curse. Do amuse me a little before I finish you off, hm~?"

The Curse doesn't even have time to answer before the scythe grew gigantically in size, screaming death as Kuma swung it down like she would a scythe. The result? A part of the building split in half and crashed to the ground loudly. Having a perfect view of the spectacle she was causing, Suguru groaned as he rubbed his temples. Yaga was definitely going to lecture them about repair fees later. As if Satoru and him haven't been destroying enough buildings anyway. He should think of an excuse as a cover up story for the newspaper later. At this point he deserves an award for making up all the stories they've used so far for the news.

While the auxiliary manager was downright terrified at the site of destruction, Satoru was too busy whistling in awe and cackling until his stomach hurts. "Look at her going wild- Man, the building is gonna be completely destroyed by the end of this. She's wild alright. I don't think you can get a new Curse this time 'round, Suguru. There's probably nothing left."

Suguru supposed he was at fault for not telling her about his Curse Technique beforehand. There goes a Special Grade Curse that should've gone to his Arsenal. He could hear the gleeful psychopathic shouts from the female brunette ringing all over the place. What have they picked up to be honest? He could hear the Curse screeching from miles away, not to assert dominance but rather terrified by its chaser. He was betting that Kuma is also the type to play with her opponent, just like a certain white-haired Sorcerer. Hopefully she'll be done soon so they could buy Satoru's sweets otherwise, hearing whines all week long since it's the limited edition one.

"Ooh~ look at her go-" The grin on Satoru's lips were mean, far too wide and menacing when he saw the terror on the Curse's eyes as it broke through a window to jump off of the fourth floor of the abandoned hospital. Oh so desperate to escape from the grim reaper right behind it. But there was never any hope from the start, was there?

Her expression was an exact match with Satoru's, awfully taunting and arrogant as if they were born to stand above others. Fearlessly jumping from the fourth floor, she let gravity pull her down. The kusarigama was firmly in her grasp, its chains dangling around her and shaken by the harsh winds. "Too bad~ Time's up lil curse~"

Fortunately the Curtain was big enough for what was about to happen. Logically speaking, Suguru knew that this was supposed to be near impossible. The Oozuchi Kozuchi was a Cursed Tool that grows proportionally by either size or weight to how much Curse Energy the user gives. Satoru had used it before, handling it terribly with his lack of control. All he did was swing it around carelessly and split buildings for fun as the weapon increased massively in size due to his massive Curse Energy input. He would've gotten squashed if it wasn't for his Infinity.

Others than him also attempted to use the kusarigama. But to no avail, having too little energy that they couldn't use the weapon to its fullest potential. Suguru has used it on several occasions, somewhat fitting well but too heavy handed for him to use comfortably. A part of him would've thought the kusarigama was just picky about its owner if he didn't know better.

Compared to the time the duo wield the weapon, the size difference was like day and night. It was practically towering over the building and one would wonder how she's even holding to it. The amount of Curse Energy she used was more than enough for several times Domain Expansion and that's an astounding achievement by the Jujutsu standard. Enough to be potentially classified for Special Grade, and certainly to be feared by the Higher Ups for her strength. They'd just pester her execution urgently in response.

How ironic was it that they were meant to protect yet they're too busy planning an execution for a single girl who was practically clueless about the Jujutsu world. Not to mention she could control Amanozako so really she wasn't a threat unless she decided to become a Curse User. In a way understandable why she'd be seen as a potential threat. Though stupid of the Elders to show hostility to her instead of making her their ally.

He watches as she slashed down the Curse mid-air, taking down the buildings that stood in her way and cutting deep into the pavement. The auxiliary manager seemed like they were going to drop dead out of shock at any second now. Satoru was dancing around carefreely, singing about how he couldn't wait to buy the lovely kikufukus waiting for him. All they had to do was wait for Kuma, it seems. There shouldn't be any problems since the Curse was already exorcised. Surely she thought things through when she jumped off the window right?

The answer would be no. The female brunette was awkwardly smiling in the air once she shrunk the kusarigama back to its original size, having no idea what she's supposed to do for her landing. Amanozako wasn't an option since earlier she was told not to use the mythological goddess after all. Though the people in action movies used grappling hooks and made running across buildings so easy. So she should be able to do it too with the kusarigama. Shrugging her worries off, she threw the weapon as a makeshift hook and promptly pulled.

"Oh f*ck me." Famous last words before crashing into the wall apparently. Suguru facepalmed with a loud sigh, watching as Kuma miscalculated her actions and crashing headfirst into the building. In the end he had to drag Satoru along to pick her up, childish whines going into one ear and out of the other. He was greeted by Kuma squinting at him from the floor, head bleeding all over the place.

"Why re there three of you, Suguru. You look so woozy n wonbly too. I swear I haven't drunk any alcohols yet." The person in question could only cringe at her response, knowing she wasn't exactly thinking straight in her current state.

Satoru crouched down in front of her, hand propping his chin as he scowled at the girl. She didn't have a single scratch from fighting a Special Grade Curse but attained a possible concussion from her stupidity. Scoffing at the show of idiocy, he flicked her forehead without a single thought. "Come on, get up. If we wait any longer then the kikufuku will be sold out first."

Hearing that, Kuma instantly sat up, ignoring the way there was a small fountain of blood spurting from her head as she did that. "LET'S GO BUY THE SWEETS NOW—"

Utterly stunned by her choice of buying sweets before treating her wounds, Suguru groaned and pointed at her injuries. "NO YOU'RE NOT, YOUR HEAD IS BLEEDING—"

"No it's not. It's just red water. I'm fine. Now let's buy those kikufukus—" God, what had he ever done to be tasked as the babysitter of two idiots. Satoru was raring to bring her along to the shop too judging by the looks of it. Maybe calling them idiots was too nice of him.

"Still no. We're going to Shoko ASAP. Satoru can buy the sweets and meet us back at the dorms later." In the end he ignored Kuma's wails as Satoru bid her farewell dramatically. Though Suguru could perfectly see the evil grin on his lips. She probably wouldn't get any sweets because of the Gojo heir's pettiness. Looks like it's up to him again have to make it up to her later. What a life.

A/N:

So…you're probably going to hate me for this :" But I'm putting this book on-hold. I realized that I was still far too immature when I first had the thought to publish this book. I do have a proper plot in mind, yes. And I was particularly excited to reveal the connection between Kuma and Sukuna later on. But I'm not satisfied with the way I'm writing this book. No matter how many times I keep re-reading it, it just doesn't fit with me.

Plus now that I'm in university, I'm having less time to write. Especially since I'm in Pharmacy and the workload is hitting pretty hard. Managing two long series stories is hard for me and honestly it was probably a bad choice for me to just nonchalantly think I could do it if I put my mind into it. I don't want to give you guys content below my standard, not to mention I'm not enjoying writing the book this way. I do want to do it justice after all.

So I'm putting this book on-hold indefinitely and I'm going to focus on my Tower of God book first. I'll be *re-writing* this book later on so that I can deliver the storyline properly.

But in the meantime! I have already planned a one-shot book for jjk as a lighter project on the side. All of them are either angst or dark-plots— But I'll be publishing the first one on 30 October so yesh. That's all I have to say and thank you for giving this book a chance and sticking with this inexperienced author. Have a nice day/night sweethearts
