Hey guys. I've been having trouble trying to write something for the past few days. So just to help me get into a writing mood, I'm writing a story mode base on Cadance of Hyrule. I got the game a few weeks ago, and it's really fun. I've been wanting to do this for some time. However, I do plan on changing some things from the game in my story. Well, let's start with Cadence appearing in Hyrule.
Evil had stuck Hyrule once more. A new face has placed the king under a deep sleep and was able to stop the Princess and the Hero from interfering with his places. However, the Triforce was well aware of what was happen, and even though the evil had used its power, it didn't get the full power. With the Holder of Wisdom and Courage placed under a spell, it was up to someone to stop him and save Hyrule. Someone that has a...little...more...HEART!
She blinks her eyes as she saw the clear blue sky, which confuse her. Just a few moments ago, she was exploring a crypt before a bright light covered her, and she found herself falling from the sky.
"Ow. I fell down pits before, but I never fell from the sky." She said, picking herself up.
She looks around and noticed how different the trees were.
"Where am I?" She asked.
She nearly jumps when something flew in front of her. It looks like a ball of light with four sets of wings coming out of it.
"Hey! Are you okay? I saw you falling from the sky!" It said.
"Whoa! What in the crypt?!" The girl shouted, shocked.
The Ball light flew around her before stopping at her ears.
"Oh! You're not a Hylian!" It said.
"Um, no. My name is Cadence." She said, lost.
'Hylian? What in the world is a Hylian?' Cadence thought.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Trill! I'm a fairy." The Ball of Light said.
"Um, nice to meet you, Trill," Cadence said, unsure.
'Did I hit my head?' She asked in thought.
"Hmm, you look lost. Maybe I can help." Trill said.
Cadence just sighs. After traveling through a crypt, forcing her to move to a beat to keep her heart beating, she shouldn't be too surprised at what she was seeing.
"Sure. I need to find a way home, anyways." Cadence said.
"Okay! There is this strange crypt at the edge of the forest. Maybe we should check it out? I'll hang out in your hair for now." Trill said and flew into Cadence's hair.
Cadence blinks before sighing. A crypt, huh? Well, she's familiar with them. She found her shovel on the ground and picks it up. She then walks down the trees, which appears to give her a path.
Cadence finally reached the crypt Trill told her about and notices a strange door. It looks to be made of stone, and had three triangles on it. Cadence recalls seeing those before. When the bright light hit her, she saw the same three. Trill flew out of her hair and floated around it.
"Since you're new to Hyrule, let me explain what those threes triangles are. Long ago, it was stated Hyrule was made by three Goddesses. Farore, the Goddess of Courage. Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom. And Din, the Goddess of Power. It was said that once they were done they return to the heavens but left behind a sacred treasure known as the Triforce. Each piece is related to each goddess, Courage, Wisdom, and Power." She said.
Cadence was surprised at the tale. She walks up and placed her hand on the door. To her shock, something flows through her and reached inside her. Cadence backs away and tries to calm her beating heart.
'Wait! My heart?!' She thought and tries to listen for it.
To her shocked, she could hear her heart.
"How? I thought it was separate from me." She said.
"What was?" Trill asked.
"My heart was separate from my body, forcing me to move to in a beat to keep my heart beating, or I would die from a heart attack. Now that I think about it, I haven't done that at all during this trip." Cadence said.
"Wow! You had your heart remove? Sounds painful." Trill said.
"Like you wouldn't believe. Did this triforce give me my heart back?" Cadence said.
"Hmm, possibly. Anyways, we better open this...huh?" Trill started to say before noticing the crypt was open.
"Wow! It opened after you touch it!" She said.
Cadence looks at the door and ready herself. Her father always told her that a crypt was full of dangers, and one must be prepared to travel within them. Cadence made sure her shovel was on her back and her dragger was on her waist. She tightens her bandana and smirks.
"Well, looks like I'm going Crypt Hunting." She said, and steps through the door.
No sooner than Cadence step inside the Crypt, it became really dark. Cadence hated that. She knew a dark crypt was a dangerous crypt. She could see a bit and carefully walk down the path. Trill flew out and gave a bit more light.
"Wow, this place is dark and a bit creepy." She said.
"Well, my family are well-known treasure hunters where I'm from. I was scare of a crypt when my father first took me to one, but told me that by traveling through it I'll become braver." Cadence said before sighing.
"Are you okay?" Trill asked.
"Huh? Oh, yeah! I'm fine. Let's find a torch and keep moving." She said.
Trill notices the sad tone from Cadence and guessed she lost her father. She decides not to ask her about it and helps Cadence find a torch. After finding one, and getting it alit, Cadcene travels through the Crypt. She found a set of stairs and travels down them. As soon as she reach the last step, she felt something familiar trying to take over her. However, she didn't notice that her right hand started to grow, and the symbol of the Triforce appear on her hand, with the top triangle glowing.
Cadence then shook her head and stood up. Trill quickly spotted a Chuchu and tries to get Cadence to notices.
"LOOK OUT!" She shouted.
Cadence looks up and saw it jumps toward her. Due to her curse back in her homeworld, Cadence jumps off to the side before turning around and stabs it with her dragger. Cadence watch as it burst apart and could feel her heart beating like normal.
"Wow! Those were some good dance moves." Trill said.
"Right, I mentioned before that I had to move in a beat to keep my heart beating. I've been under it so long I have gotten used to it." She said.
"Well, it might come in handy. Lots of the monsters in Hyrule have been forced to move differently. Almost like they're dancing." Trill said.
Cadence nods. Since she was used to it, it makes fighting these monsters easier.
Later...
It didn't take Cadence long to fight/dance her way out of the crypt. She reached another set of stairs and soon steps outside. She had to cover her eyes until they were used to the light. When Cadence could see again, she saw Castle in the far lands and gasps at the sight. Trill flew out of Cadence's hair and looks at her.
"Welcome, Cadence, to the land of Hyrule!"
And that is the start of my Story version of Cadance of Hyrule. As you see, I change a few things from the game so far. For one, if you play through the game Tutorial level, you end with a choice of playing as Link or Zelda. In my version, Cadence finds herself in Hyrule field. I did look up Crypt of Nercodancer a bit and made sure to add a bit of Cadence's past in this story. For those that don't know, I never played Crypt of the Nercodancer. Well, next chapter, Cadence meets both Link and Zelda and helps them walk up.
Grammarly seems really picky now. Before I would get around 15 to 20 mistakes with no way of knowing what I need to fix. Now it's telling me I have twice the amount! Almost triple! How can I fix that if Grammarly doesn't show me my mistakes?
