'Why did he have to die why did he have to protect me I should have been the one to die this brave facade I put up all the time it's fake when something goes wrong I mess up I'm gonna lose am I gonna die' naruto thinks to himself as he gets teleported to a familiar place but it's different the sage of six paths was the one their last time, not Kaguya.

"Hello my child I see you are going through great suffering but I will give you another chance one we're you won't have to take being in love with Hinata and one where you can grow stronger so you can defeat Isshiki" Kaguya said with a hiss of venom at saying here husbands name

"What do you want with me Kaguya and what do you mean not fake loving Hinata I do" naruto said a little fragile at the end but still got his message across

"But you love someone else more don't you," Kaguya said with a soft angelic smile only a mother could give

"I-" naruto faltered he couldn't say anything the only reason he even got with Hinata was because he needed to seem normal or else he feared people might reject him as Hokage.

"You love that Uchiha don't you well what if I give you another chance to protect him and tell him how you truly feel" Kaguya said with the same approving smile that she had when looking at Hamura and hagoromo when they were children.

"T-thank you I guarantee I will defend the world and the chakra you gave it from Isshiki and any other danger even if it means my death" naruto said confidently fully believing with the help of love he would be motivated to train harder.

As naruto said this he was immediately teleported as he woke up with a horrible headache.

"So it was just a dream" naruto said as he got up and the took a second to look around then the realization hit him it wasn't a dream he was in his old apartment.

He looked at the calendar in horror as he noticed it was the day for team selection

"Damnit I've gotta go quick or else kakashi sensei will beat my ass" naruto said as he got into his old orange jumpsuit the nostalgia hitting him harder than the rocks hitting Obito.

"This time it will be different I know nearly every jutsu and I'm a lot smarter so I won't be too stupid and if someone asks I will just lie" lying was something naruto had gotten good at as he had practiced it for over 20 years constantly.

He obviously did love his children and he is sad knowing they will never exist this time but if he is completely honest they are accidents he got drunk one time and the hyuuga said they would use it against him if he didn't marry their daughter so yeah.

IN THE CLASSROOM

"I'm here" naruto shouted as he saw iruka and just barely held back tears as iruka had died and he couldn't stop it

"NARUTO UZUMAKI how dare you be late to team selections" iruka screamed with his head seemingly puffing smoke

"But iruka I made it 3 seconds before the bell rings" naruto said as he put up 3 fingers

As his fingers went down the class got more and more tense and exactly as he said 3 they heard aringadingading aringadingading

But iruka only looked more mad but a little proud for his favorite blonde making it on time for once.

After that naruto went and sat beside sasuke only to quickly be pushed out of the seat by a jealous Sakura

'Man I forgot how much I hated her' naruto said gritting his teeth a little or at least he said he forgot but he didn't forget he hated her always she was nothing but a nuisance.

He just sat back down and dodged her next shove but as he did he realized the earful he was about to get and also the fact that if he redirected himself the events in which he kissed sasuke may still happen... so he did he went straight into her shove.

As he hit the ground he hit his head on the ground sasuke watched as he fell his head hit and sasuke was over there nearly immediately checking out narutos head he saw it was bleeding so he immediately looked at Sakura but naruto got back up and smiled

"I'm fine" he said showing his brightest smile but he could still feel sasukes killing intent which made Sakura freezE.

'Whatever he deserved what he got for trying to take away sasuke-kun' Sakura said inside of her head as she was so oblivious that she couldn't tell sasuke was looking at her angrily.

"What the hells wrong with you!!!!!!!" Sasuke said as she looked at Sakura he felt a hand on his that stopped him though but only for a moment that moment was enough to calm him down

"W-what do you mean a-s-sasuke-kun" Sakura mumbled out as she hears ino laughing in the back but ino got a glare as well which sat her down

"It's fine sasuke and thanks for checking on me I heal very quick" naruto said smiling as he now also had iruka over there checking on him

"Are you sure you will be ok naruto" iruka said as he looked into narutos eyes and glanced at sasuke telling him to sit back in his seat

"Yes iruka sensei you know how fast I heal" naruto responded once again hiding that smile only a few whom experienced the same loneliness he had could tell was a facade... both iruka and sasuke could tell he was lying.

2 hours later

It had been 2 hours it is around the time kakashi showed upend naruto remember how much he hated kakashis sense of time but he knew why so when kakashi got there he just stayed quite.

There was no prank or anything of the sorts which surprised everyone.

"Meet me on the roof" is all kakashi said as he shunsined to the roof as they all followed up the steps

"Alright team now that you are up here we are gonna introduce ourselves first you pinky what do you like dislike hate as well as your dreams and goals" kakashi said

"Could you go first sensei as an example" sasuke a said with everyone looking at her like she's stupid

"I'm well if you really want my name is kakashi hatake my likes and dislikes are none of your business and neither are my dreams and goals" it was all he said he said all he needed no more no less but once again Sakura got angry

"So anyways pinky it's your turn" kakashi said

"First of all my name is not pinky and as for my likes there there is this boy and and I'm um *pplegiggles* as for my dislikes NARUTO the things I hate are NARUTO and everything about him my goals and dreams for the future are *blushes* hee hee *looks at sasuke*"

"Well we have a fangirl next is you blondie" kakashi said resting his eye on naruto

"My names naruto uzumaki I like ramen and someone else *gets a slight blush that only kakashi notices* I dislike the time ramen takes to cook and a certain someone who won't stop constantly taking her pain out on me and my dream is to become the hokage and protect everyone" naruto said

"Those are some pretty big dreams now how do you think you will achieve them" Kakashi says a smirk under his mask

"I will deal with that when the time comes but first I will gain the villages trust" naruto said pumping his fist into the air "because I'm NarutoUzumaki of konohagakure the village hidden in the leaves" he added confidently

Lakshmi his a smile under his mask 'your kids doing good...minato'

"Well now for you emochiha" kalashi said mocking the pose assume had taken

Assume was angry for a second but he then said "My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and kill a certain someone"

Naruto knew he was gonna say this but he forgot how much hatred was in his voice he just wanted to give him a hug and show him someone loved him and that he wasn't as alone as he thought.

Meanwhile kakashi knew he would say this he knew what happened that day 5 years ago in fact he was quite impressed he could hold onto such hatred for so long.

Sakura though was quite scared she didn't think sasuke could say anything like that she was blinded by the false hope of her being able to score with sasuke.

"S-sasuke-k-kun what do you mean" Sakura asked even though her question was already answered before hand.

She expected an answer but she only got a glare in return

"Well, we'll meet me at training ground seven in 2 days there I will test whether you are ready to become genin of the leaf village" kakashi said seriously

"Oh yeah and don't eat"
