I'm Izuku Midoria and my family is weird we have a rare quirk called a legacy quirk and what makes it even stranger is that it generates fully sentient beings witch grant us powers they tend to be animals and only give, a single ability and there isn't really a lot of research we can do as they tend to not be cooperative with doctors unless they have to any way my families quirk is called soulbound familiar or just familiar and our familiars tend to materialize a year or so after we're born I'm 5 now and still don't have mine so all my classmates say I'm quirkless even though the tests say otherwise grandpa says the longer it takes for a familiar to appear the stronger they are and I trust him he's the number 4 hero Specter Knight his familiar is one of the ones we call Irregulars instead of an animal its a sword and shield that float and talk yea they all talk my mom's familiar is a cat that gives her psychic powers but they aren't solid cus familiar's are the ones who train the powers and we train our bodys but tama is super lazy.
Why am I telling you all this well, probably so it makes sense why I'm getting beaten up by my once best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, and his friends' Izuku monologued in his head from beneath his arms as the other kids kicked him while he was on the ground in the fetal position "HEY YOU LITTLE SHITS WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT BULLYING MY GRANDSON" a massive metal hammer slams down on the pavement leaving a large pothole
And Bakugo and his cronies run away Hideyoshi Midoriya
He watches the little punks leave and helps his grandson home during a conversation with his mother after being healed by his grandma's low-end healing quirk -healing touch- which is capable of healing minor injuries Inko was trying to convince Izuku to change schools when he passed out and to the shock of the adults started glowing
His grandparents took him to his room. And put him to bed with a smile as they knew what was happening thru the night Izuku flashed Warm tetrachromatic colors till morning. Eventually, he woke up to see he was not alone in his bed. He. was shuttering it with a being with a green bowl cut, a horn-like crest coming out of the front and back of their head, and snow-white cloths Izuku knew he was looking at his familiar. She was a humanoid type, so he asked her, "Hey, I'm Izuku. What's your name" play RELIC SONG "Lily. My name is Lily." Izuku introduces Lily to his family and their familiar's allowing her to learn what she is
And Izuku learns a critical thing that humanoid familiar's are always the opposite gender of their partner.
And have true sentience like Irregulars. It doesn't take long to find out that powers lily shares with Izuku because they indeed share their powers. Another trait of humanoid familiar's is that the partnership is equal in all things.

As Familiar like his mom and grandpa and well school doesn't get better the other kids laugh at how small Lily is and wright Izuku off as a Deku and Bakugo puts it a useless guy with a useless quirk Izuku learns quickly the world is not fair and true friends are hard to come by and for the next 10 years Izuku and Lily Learned some things about there shared abilities Like they have Psychick and magic powers healing magic was one of the first things Lily found out about when they were Six after Bakugo beat Izuku up again she healed him with magic a few months later some thugs tried to kidnap lily for what they thought was her quirk and Izuku threw the down the block with psychokinesis and they took off over time the two of them found out that the magic needed a mental clear image or it wouldn't work and the psychic powers used things like physics to make special powers by the age of 15 Izuku and Lily who had grown considerably her horns having become hairclip like crests on her head and now sporting green twin tails and leggings wearing white skirt's with her school uniform top since she wasn't actually a student but acted like one anyway Izuku had taken his family's advice and started exercising and eating healthy meals Lily doing so as well and it showed that were well built for there age
And Lily was famous for her looks amongst boys who didn't know she was a quirk Bakugo still tried to Harass them, but they made learning travel magic a priority
And figured out a simple teleport spell in elementary school called "Return," which let them go to a place where they previously placed a marker the site in question being their room witch had Izuku's study corner with his hero notebooks and a bit of AllMight merch that he didn't put in storage and also books on physics thermodynamics and other complex subjects that most kids his age wouldn't touch Lily had a sketchbook she was working in part of visualizing a spell is mental imaging, but it helps to get an image on paper of what you want the spell to do and work backward from there since that share the results of there training Izuku's idea was that each of them takes the power they would be good at training in and learn as much as they can be for U.A. Izuku and Lily we're now 16
Izuku being lean and muscled, Lily had grown into a fine .young woman with curves that could fight with most pro heroines. Today they were in their sophomore year of high school. Bakugo had kind of mellowed out probably because the high school teachers and students didn't give two shits about him or his quirk. One of the teachers told him that if he catches him pulling the kinda shit, he pulled in middle school, he'll call the police. Izuku had to head to class, so he couldn't listen to the whole conversation.
So Bakugo was not his problem was John Dickerson, an American transfer student with an ego problem and sense of self-entitlement that seems to stem from thin air. He's been trying to get lily to go out with him and even told me to order her to do it cus shes my quirk, and I told him shes sentient as any human and I can't make her do anything she doesn't want to, and one day Dickerson pulled a gun on us intent on getting what he wanted so we dropped him thru a gate to a dimension where time moves 500 sextillion times faster after closing the gate spell Izuku telepathically said to Lily '"we will never speak of this to anyone it never happened"' Lily responds '"Nope never"'
The Dickerson investigation was dropped when it was found out that he was not only harassing female students but also mugging students at gunpoint. It soon went from a missing person case to a manhunt. This would be how Izuku and Lily began their senior year and also turned 17
Izuku got a motorcycle license. And they found a shared interest in metalworking and making reproductions of weapons from pop culture, be it video games, anime or movies, or just popular shows. The two of them really like creating their own stuff to potentially use for hero work. Lily had a set of 6 wakizashi blades. When filled with psionic energy, fold and connect together to make a pair of gloves that can be controlled with psychic power. Izuku's weapon is a katana with special runes that respond to different mental images. Like ice to create a blade, of ice or fire to make a blade of flame. The handle can extend to make a lance. The direction of the blade can be changed to form a scythe, and like Lily's glave's, he can use it with his psychic powers. Senior year was spent doing school stuff and learning to use their new equipment, .mastering their abilities, and spending time together.
And as the end of the year rolled around, Hideyoshi brought up that Izuku may be ready for full connect.
"But grandfather, what is that?" asked Lily Hideyoshi used to Lily's behavior. Though god help poor Izuku if she learns just how human she is. As they are practically joined at the hip.
We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. "Well, Lil Lily full connect is an ability only familiar psychic holders have in our family. It grants a limited field where you have unlimited psychic ability for a short time. Still, the drawbacks are pretty bad, so it's mostly used to end a fight quickly."
Izuku and Lily talk about this back and forth. Weighing the pros and cons until eventually agreeing to spend the last part of the school year learning full connect. And the final 2 weeks of high school came around. The teacher hands out some papers. "Take a career form and pass it back now. I'm sure you all want to be heroes, but life doesn't always work out the way we plan. That's why we make a plan B." said the teacher Bakugo leaps onto his desk, declaring, "These extras might need a plan B but not me. I'm gonna be the strongest hero ever, the following number one.
The rest of you would be lucky to end up as the sidekick of some bused D-listerrrrrrrrrr!?" Bakugo shouting rant became a surprised shriek. The teacher gave Izuku and Lily a satisfied nod but motioned for the pair to put the desk back as Bakugos's desk makes a THUNK on the ground. An hour later, Lily opens another portal on the ceiling from which Bakugo falls out and yells, "I WAS FALLING FOR 9 HOURS AND MY QUIRK WOULDN'T WORK WHAT THE HELL!?" The teacher says, "Bakugo schools out for the day go somewhere not here," shoeing the teen like a not so minor annoyance Bakugo didn't like this teacher, but the feeling was mutual the remaining days were uneventful until Wednesday of the final week of senior year of high school a surprise quirk assessment test for all students going into hero courses
And it was mandatory if you had a quirk students went to the track field according to the school they were applying to. Some came back happy. Others didn't. Then it was Lily Izuku and Bakugo. The person giving our test was a guy who looked like he hadn't slept in his entire adult life.
He told us this was a standardized fitness test, but we use our quirks to do it where we can. He also asked why there were three of us, but only 2 ppl registered, and I explained that Lily is my familiar and the way my family's quirk works.
The Procter looks between us and says ok well can you use the powers she has freely and I confirm this and explain the concept of Irregular and Humanoid familiars and the differences and the unique trait of humanoid familiars partnership that is equal in all things as I say this last cryptic line the Procter just nods and tells me to do some simple exercises 50-meter dash long jump side to sides and lastly punch a machine I'm able to outspeed Bakugou with a score of 3.0 by using a system of flexible barriers and wind magic I'm able to get 700 meters in the long jump compared to Bakugos 300 he outdid me on the side to sides but by beefing up my punch with sclarokenisis I sent the machine a good 5 meters and made Bakugo think twice about messing with me or Lily ever again the guy nods writes something down on some papers and heads off about his day after giving us some slips and that was the end of the day after graduation Izuku and Lily were on the way to pick up Izuku's Bike from the garage were it was getting routine maintenance and they were going to head that way {On the other side of town.} An alarm blares at a bank, and the windows shatter as goopy muk comes spilling out. The teller comes running out the door and shouts, "SOMEBODY STOP HIM HE HAS THE MASTER CODE FOR THE VAULT!" a skinny man.

As the guy next to him says, that's "bad, all that gut needs is a computer and an internet connection, and he can claim everything in that bank." as smoke comes off the guy standing next to him as he turns to see AllMight
"Never fear why I AM HERE!" the hero boldly declares before leaping into action. Running after the villain in hot pursuit /meanwhile/ Izuku and Lily enjoy their walk to the garage where Izuku's bike is fixed. While walking, they chat about nonsense. Like how there going to train a Lily wants to try a newly opened cake shop. A comic book place Izuku intends to visit. The fact that they should swing by the library there discussing getting lunch when the sewer grate blasts into the underside of the overpass with enough force to embed it into the cement. as the two of them look back at the sludge and watch it reform into a villain whose first words to them is. "Hey, you two gimme your body's. I didn't know that freak was in town., but you'll make a nice pair of invisibility cloaks, especially you girly.

That the kids he was gonna use as his escape route have multiplied. Now there are 5 of each of them as the villain starts thrashing thru the semisolid illusions. Eventually, being out from underneath the overpass as all The Izuku's pull out a katana grip and a blade made of electricity comes out. Play THE ORAL CIGARETTES-Dream In Drive. Each one accelerates, striking the villain with his sword in a Batto-Jutsu iaido swing. The villain twists around in pain only to see Lily on the overpass railing, hand in the air, black storm clouds forming crackling with power. And then lily shouts "LIGHTNING BOLT," and honest to god bolt of lightning is dropped on the sludge villain splattering across the alley. Lily floats herself down and hugs Izuku.
Witch, he really doesn't mind, and the street starts to shake.
As a blur of blond hair and muscles bursts out of the sewer. With a boisterous and grandiose laugh and winning smile. That guaranteed safety to all who saw those pearly whites. "Never fear why because I AM HERE. You two did a spectacular job, and I'm not going to lecture you about quirk usage laws as they don't apply in regards to self-defense. Still, I will tell you to be aware that the self-defense laws are not a loophole. They have their own drawbacks for unlicensed individuals." AllMight explains the laws regarding using one's quirk in defense of oneself or others and that collateral damage from quirk usage is entirely the defender's responsibility. Izuku and Lily knew the government usually pays for collateral damage for fights between heroes and villains. In fact, Villain insurance was just part of most insurance packages now. As Izuku helped all might clean up the villain, Lily found a container, an old discarded thermos with a multi-locking lid the villain fit inside easily.
And Izuku asked AllMight if he could be a hero like his grandpa. And AllMight stopped for a moment and asked the kid if he could fly with his powers. Izuku said in a way but not for long. "Then follow me. Here's not a good place to talk about personal matters." Izuku Lily and AllMight Taking off and landing on a building some distance away, "Now what's your name, young man?"
"Izuku Midoriya'' Izuku stammered out. All Might's eyes went wide. "Your old man Hidioshi's grandson. He talked a lot about you is retired life treating him well?" as suddenly AllMight's body released a great cloud of steam and in his place stroud a man that could only be called SmallMight.
"Well, I was going to tell you about this anyway." as all might explains his injury .and what one for all is and how it works.
But also explains that no one born with the Midoriya quirk could inherit it. Unless they can perform a link synchronization. Izuku wonders how all might knows about this as it's an incredibly secret skill amongst the Midoria family and a skill only useable by human-type familiars.
All might explain that he was contacted by Hideyoshi and given instructions on how to train the two of them in the skill. When an explosion is seen in the nearby shopping district, causing them to drop what they're doing and rush over only to see the sludge villain with a hostage. AllMight quickly checks his pocket, and the captured villain is…..
Still there, so he had an accomplice? One with a similar
Quirk Izuku and Lily walk up to the crowd and see the heroes doing nothing. This Lights a fire under the pair
Play Marvelous Battle OST's: Tsuna Awakes. Lily opens a gate into the hot zone, and Izuku steps out in front of the new sludge villain. In an instant, grabbing Bakugou with psychokinesis and tearing him free, throwing him to death arms Lily Jumping from the gait with a cry of "ICE NINE.''
Forming 9 large ice needles 9feet long, half a foot in diameter, it plunges itself into the villain, freezing it. Izuku grabs a nearby light post destroyed in the initial blast. Using psychokinesis,. He swings it is like a sword and smashes the villain to pieces. It doesn't take the pros long to confirm that the villain is alive Izuku and Lily still get a chewing out from death arms. Still, the two don't pay him much mind. Kamui woods tell them they did well but should try to leave it to licensed pros until they graduate, especially if they are going to the hero course.
The garage where Izuku's bike was going thru maintenance
Ended up getting trashed, and Bakugou stopped them on the way home, proclaiming that he owed them nothing. which caused the pair to look at each other and tell him. "helping someone in trouble is common sense for a hero." Izuku starts, "and you're not expected to repay people for using common sense." Lily finished. The two walked away, leaving bakugou confused. 'the double nerd didn't do this to one-up me or make me owe him, and the fuck is this about common sense. Bakugo thought as he skulked off. Izuku and Lily met All Might on the way home.
Who told them that of all the people he's met, they most definitely can be heroes, possibly even if they were two separate people with no quirks over the next 10 months
Izuku turns 18 gets a new motorcycle to replace the one destroyed when the garage was damaged. This one is a black and green Akera style bike. The seat is positioned so Lily can ride in Izuku's lap. Aside from mastering link synchronization. Izuku found out about how his dad's quirk metamaterial fusion was integrated into the family quirk. To say it's strange is an understatement, but it is still nice to have a trump card. The training took place at dagobah beach, and the exercise was to clean it as a team with no powers. While doing a rigorous exercise program.
And changing their diets to a meal plan meant to support their health during the strenuous exercise. By the time 7 months had passed, the beach was spotless. After 10 months of training, they were using link synchronization.
Subconsciously. which caused Lily's hair to go from a bright green to electric blue. Her crest, which had finally settled on her sternum, went from cherry-red to a goldenrod color between her shoulder blades. Her eyes became warm pinkish-purple, Izuku gained some muscle. He was by no means gangly before. Still, you could tell he trained with quite some effort as all might stands .before the Pair.
He tells them, well, you have entirely mastered link synchronization, and I can now pass on to you my quirk
it's a great responsibility, so you are free to say no Izuku takes time to discuss it with Lily * I'm going to have this play out like a texting conversation, but it's telepathy*
Izu: what do you think, Lily? This kinda seems like a big deal
Lily: Well, it probably is. One For All seems kinda like me in a lot of ways. I'm pretty worried about the power stockpiling aspect

While the other fights with it." All Might says, "I'm only so aware of the processes cuz I had to relearn how to fight from the ground up when things become second nature they become difficult to explain, so I need to thank All For One in that respect he made it easier to train my successors" All Might smiles grimly explaining about the villain All For One his quirk and how Midoriya family sentient quirks won't obey him and the reason behind Izuku's grandfather's retirement all for one tried to steal his partner Agis and when aegis kept attacking All for one attempted to destroy the Familiar though familiar's like Agis who gave ghost properties can't be destroyed Izuku knows why against hasn't come back Hideyoshi may have been the no 3 heroes, but he was a spiteful man Agis is maintaining a powerful ability called curse which is why grandpa is often meditating to keep the curse
"The entrance exam is in 2 days. You two try to keep out of trouble, all right?" Said AllMight as the pair left for home
The next day was spent with family, and the day of the exam, Izuku and Lily woke up early Izuku put on a white T-shirt with the letters PSY and a grayscale picture of the earth, and he wore his bike gear over the top Lily had similar equipment underneath she was wearing a sleeveless hoodie with bunny ears the two eat a healthy breakfast.

The two take off their helmets and the top half of their jumpsuits, tying the sleeves around their waists and heading to the exam hall. The pair meet a bubbly brunet with a permanent blush who introduces herself as Ochaco Uraraka. Her and Lily becoming fast friends Izuku did the written test with minimal difficulty, even finishing a minute or 2 early. This gave him time to pick a spot in the lecture hall where he and Lily could sit and be pretty out of the way. The other participants filed in Lily and Izuku were going over the material. They noticed some stuff about what was printed. Still, the lights go down, and smoke starts pouring from the lectern as the figure of a man with tall hair as has his head rises to the podium.
As the smoke clears, he shouts, "Can I get a HAY!?" Lily was overjoyed to see that grandpa's stories about U.A. were indeed called "Hay!" causing Izuku to join her. "Good Energy, you two hold on to that." Present Mic explains the test basics and after giving a rundown of the point robots
A student stands up, proclaiming that there are 4 robots in the booklet and on-screen, and further mentioned that only three were explained, declaring it a grave error on U.A.s part. If this is the case, the surprising thing was that this guy wasn't seated far away, just a row in front of Izuku and Lily, so Izuku went over and politely pointed out the section he found with the info that was about to be talked about
The dude was super embarrassed after that but it was seen as an honest mistake after some inspiring words from Present Mic they left for their battle areas Izuku and Lily met the boy from before who turned out to also have a legacy quirk the girl was also there turned out Lily was helping her calm down and the 4 of them were able to still their nerves by chatting while they waited for the practical exam to start and 10 minutes later the giant doors began to open an Izuku and Lily bolted forward using hypervelocity Play Fist Bump Izuku and lily grab arms and swing into a spiraling motion sending ripples of psionic power tearing thru a hoard on one pointer's stopping their spin with Izuku and Lily extending a connected arm and Lily using a Kick empowered with 5% of OFA witch was being regulated by Izuku to put a hole thru the center of a three-pointer and the pair perform a short-range teleport to another location on the field as the participants flow in claiming numerous two pointer's for themself's as the test goes on every one notices Izuku or lily actively taking time to help others Izuku saving those who get in over ther heads but not takeing the villain points unless he has to
Lily healing people in the field, giving them another try at the hero course. The ground starts to shake end track up in the observation tower. "Well, we've got some good ones this year, ones that are showing power and teamwork," stated a man with a thick accent in a red costume with silver fixtures. "Yes, Kan, but some are showing combat prowess to an unhealthy degree." this observation was made by a mouse? Dog? Bear? Moogle? Chimera? We'll go with his name Nedzu principal of U.A. going on 60 years now. There are conspiracy theories that Nedzu is actually an eldritch being of unfathomable knowledge.
And he's running a hero school for kicks, but everyone who enters the hallowed halls of U.A. learns right away. Don't try to understand Nedzu. There aren't enough years in your lifespan. The second thing you know is even if you are the smartest "person" in the room, Nedzu is smarter.
A man who looks half dead says hasn't seated, "Well, I know I'm getting the problem, kids, so can I request one" Nedzu nods, "the midoria kid, they are doing almost everything right. They could be better and are a bit sloppy, but there's potential."
Nedzu begins laughing manically "well, it's time for the climax!" He shouts as he punches straight thru a safety housing for a button labeled "Nudzu do not touch" Power loader says welp were going to have to explain to the family's of everyone in field B why we let a malfunctioning robot lose on the testing ground as the zero pointer for zone B starts demolishing buildings while the others usually behave and the rest of the examines panic Izuku notices someone trapped under some rubble Informing Lily the pair bolt toward the danger Izuky using psychokinesis to move the wreckage of the girl Lily heals the girl and give Izuku a knowing look knowing full well he was going to try to fight that thing teleporting the girl away

Izuku using duplication and his cap of 10%, doubling up with sclarokenisis to make himself invulnerable. And grabbing his arms, the duo goes into a spin with becomes a reverse skydive spin. Still, he could feel the mental strain as Izukus duplicated land. There hit each one crumpling part of the rogue robot. The real Izuku shouts, "Go Knuckle!" punching into the massive machine's center-mass, causing it to fold and collapse Izukus's hand is ok. Still, his arm was broken in 5 places simultaneously Izuku was caught by Lily and healed partway before she couldn't do anymore. They were taken to the medical facilities by a recovery girl Izuku to go home a few days later. He was proud of how he and Lily did and regardless of what happens.
He knows he was able to be a hero to some people.
That day the ride home is quiet but fun as they zip thru the night streets asking danger how their days have been. Lily can't help but smile, and Izuku Laughs in a boisterous way that only Lily and Hideyoshi have seen.

I wanted to play around with the idea of a sentient quirk
Strangely so I did it like this
Pokemon typing determines a familiars powers Gardevoir is psychic / fairy which means psychic and magic powers.
The other stuff is pretty straightforward to grass = plant control fire = fire the ones that are a bit more complicated.
Are poison and bug poison = chemical bug = entomancy (i saw it in overlord and thought it was excellent in a creepy way)
Normal types don't grant a specific power; instead, normal type familiars can use just about any ability except. Psychic magic spectral and entomancy, so I think that covers it.
This last bit here is just a warning there will be lemons between Lily and Izuku, so if that's not your thing, then skip those. There will be weirdness and futanari as well.
