October 7th 1991

It was a really warm October day. The sun was blinding, and Alex hoped that was a good omen...

For Gryffindor, that is.

Harry was too nervous to eat that morning, but she forced him to down a bottle of pumpkin juice, before she left him at the changing rooms, lest he pass out.

Alex was currently standing at the stands, they were relatively empty as the match was to start in another half an hour. However, it was always best to grab a seat early.

Turns out she wasn't the only one with that idea.

On the opposite side of the stands, stood a blond boy with hair so shiny it reflected light.

They stared at each other and Alexandra waved at him. He started to wave back, until he caught sight of his other friends and let himself be pulled to a seat, as the stands were slowly beginning to fill up.

"Who were you waving at?" asked Hermione sneaking behind her.

"Merlin Hermione, you're not supposed to scare me like that," gasped Alexandra.

"Did you genuinely think I was going to miss the first quidditch match of the year? House pride!" she said, waving a mini edition of Hogwarts a History around.

"Right," snickered Alex, sitting down.

The match was just about to begin. Lee was setting up his mic and Hermione was talking about the newest edition of Hogwarts a history, but Alexandra was busy searching for Draco in the Slytherin side of the seats.

She couldn't help but wonder about the promise they made, before Hogwarts.

Was it that easy to drive a wedge?

She was shaken out of her thoughts when Lee Jordan's voice reverberated across the stadium.

"WELCOME TO THE 1991 QUIDDITCH SEASON FOLKS!" he boomed, voice echoing across the pitch.

"WHY DON'T WE LET OUT A HEARTY CHEER FOR THE GRYFFINDOR TEAM!"

The Gryffindor side of the pitch was filled with screams and shouts.

"...and a cheer for Slytherin too, I suppose." Lee said, after receiving a deathly glare from Professor McGonagall.

The match went on averagely, until Harry caught eye of the snitch.

Unfortunately, so did Terrence Higgs.

Alexandra had seen Higgs play, he had been seeker for two years now. Harry was not in for a good time.

"IT SEEMS THE GRYFFINDOR SEEKER HAS CAUGHT SIGHT OF THE SNITCH! AND THE SLYTHERIN SEEKER IS FOLLOWING!" shouted Lee excitedly.

"Has Harry gotten the snitch yet?" asked Hermione, nose buried in book.

"Nope, you can go on."

"UH-OH, IT SEEMS THE BOY-WHO-LIVED IS FACING SOME TURBULENCE!"

It was true, Harry's broom was spasming uncontrollably. She shook Hermione and pointed towards the broom. Ron who was sitting directly below them pointed at Snape, who was muttering suspiciously.

"Psst,"he whispered, tugging at her robes, "Snape's definitely up to something."

Hermione gasped, "He must be jinxing him! Eye contact must be maintained for a jinx to be successful!" she exclaimed loudly, standing up.

"Shut up," Alexandra whispered, pulling Hermione back to her seat.

"Don't draw attention," she called after Hermione as she slipped down the stands.

"Shouldn't you go help her?" asked Ron. "I mean you are her friend."

Alexandra sighed and followed after.

"What do you think you're doing?" she hissed as they were now under Snape's seat.

"Incendio," whispered Hermione, a devious look on her face as she ran in the opposite direction immediately.

"HERMIONE!"

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?" she yelled when they were out of earshot.

"Say what you want," Hermione snapped. "But Harry's not falling off his broom anymore, is he?"

Alexandra looked where Hermione was pointing and nodded begrudgingly.

"HE'S GOING TO FALL!" cried Alex, running closer to the pitch, hand on her mouth.

"IT LOOKS LIKE HARRY POTTER HAS FALLEN OFF OF HIS BROOM, THE MATCH WILL HAVE TO BE PAU-"

Just then, Harry started coughing viciously.

Alex started worrying, did he injure something? One time a chaser had gotten hit hard and she started coughing uncontrollably, the next thing they knew she had a punctured lung. Wasn't that Alicia Johnson?

Harry coughed up the snitch.

HARRY COUGHED UP THE SNITCH.

THE SNITCH?!

"How on earth did he manage to swallow a snitch?" wondered Hermione.

Alex ran out from under the stands, now standing on the pitch and cheered with the rest of Gryffindor.

Harry caught sight of her and tried to run towards her, but he didn't get two steps before being hauled off by the rest of the team.

Oh well, she'd see him later at the victory party anyways.
