5th June 1991

It had been two days since Alex had recovered from the hospital wing, but Harry was still unconscious, his injuries so serious he had to let his own magic heal him. She visited him whenever she could. Hermione didn't have to visit the hospital wing (she didn't get any severe injuries- lucky bint!) and Ron too was out of Madam Pomfrey's clutches.

"You Weasley boys," she had grumbled, "-always getting injured. Hopefully, your sister will be better when she arrives."

"I wouldn't bet on it Madam Pomfrey, she likes Quidditch even more than I do."

She was sitting in Herbology, idly picking at her notes on Devil Snare, when Minerva McGonagall walked into the greenhouse, asking for her.

"Am I in trouble, Minnie?" she asked as she trailed behind the Transfiguration Professor.

They climbed the stairs quickly and knocked on the door.

"Come in." answered Dumbledore from the other side of the door.

Alexandra entered and took a seat before starting,

"Whatever it is you think I did, Professor, ITWASN'TMEITWASFREDANDGEORGE-" she paused. "I'm not in trouble, am I? " she whispered meekly.

"Not at all, Miss Potter."

Alexandra let out a sigh of relief.

"However, we are here for a more serious matter. How much do you know of the first wizarding war?"

"Well..."

"You're lying" she whispered.

"Alexandra-" Professor McGonagall interjected.

"NO- YOU KNEW DIDN'T YOU? ALL OF YOU. LIARS!" she shouted.

"Do remember not to tell anyone including Harry." said Dumbledore putting a hand on her shoulder. "For what it's worth, Alexandra, I am truly sorry. "

"If you were truly sorry, you wouldn't have lied." she hissed, ripping up the moving picture in front of her as stood up and ran out of the room.

As the little figure faded fast into the distance, Minerva started to panic,

"Albus, what if she-"

Professor Dumbledore put up a hand, effectively stopping her from speaking.

"I know what I'm doing," he said, that stupid twinkle in his eye.

Alexandra had been running from the professors for merlin didn't know how long, having declared herself exempt from classes after that horrible meeting.

It was long past sunset and soon she found herself wandering up the astronomy tower, astronomy wasn't her favourite class, but, she had to admit, seeing the stars brought a certain amount of pre-Hogwarts nostalgia back.

Before genocidal murderers, undead twin brothers and three headed dogs, of course.

Looks like she wasn't the only one who liked the stars.

She was laying on the ledge swinging her legs under the fence.

"Alex? Is that you?" asked Draco. "Are you crying?" he sat down beside her.

She didn't realise she was crying. But she touched her face, and it was indeed wet.

"What's wrong," he questioned, pulling her to sitting, lest she choke.

"Draco, we're friends right?" she sniffled, rubbing her nose on her sleeves.

"Of course, don't be daft." he scoffed.

This set her off into another round of tears.

"Why are you cryin- I'm sorry?! Err, everything'll be okay." he tried, awkwardly patting her back.

"You're stupid." she said, between tears.

"I'm not the one crying!" he spluttered, making her laugh, and slowly calm down. "Do you want to tell me what's wrong or?"

She shook her head no, "Just stay, please."

He nodded and sat as they stared into the stars.

"They're pretty." Draco said, bored of the silence.

"Yeah." Alex said.

"Don't cry, it's weird."

Alex laughed, brushing the hair out of her face and idly detangling it.

"I'll try," she laughed. "Do you remember that time you pushed me down the stairs? For 'borrowing' your training wand?"

Draco had the decency to turn red, "How was I to know you'd bought your own?"

"I dare say pushing a seven-year old down the stairs was a bit extreme...I think that's the last time I cried."

"Did someone push you down the stairs then?" asked Draco, turning his head to look at her.

"No, you arse," she punched his shoulder lightly.

Draco laughed, which set Alexandra into another set of giggles, meeting with Dumbledore long forgotten.

They stayed there, talking, for the rest of the night, it was a Saturday tomorrow anyways.
