Here's another adorable update Hope you enjoy.

Molly curled up under the blankets, tears staining her cheeks. Her head still hurt where Grandma Aoife hit her, and how could she be so mean? She wanted her Mommy...

If only she could hold on to Lucia, but the doll was still saying nasty things to her.

"She's going to get you, Molly, and send you to the home for bad little girls... You will never see your Mommy or Daddy again."

"N-no..."

"The home for bad little girls... That's where you truly belong... You're a bad girl, Molly, and no one loves you..."

"Please, stop!" she yelled, covering her ears.

The doll cackled under the bed, and all Molly could do was weep as Lucia's cruel, taunting words continued to haunt her.

That was when the bedroom door opened, and she stopped, rolling up into a ball to make herself smaller.

Oh no... Grandma had heard her yelling, and she was going to hit her again.

"Molly? You awake? It's NNY!"

Surprised at the sound of the now very familiar voice, she threw the blankets off her head and found him standing at the end of her bed.

Nny beamed, opening his arms out. "Surprise. I'm your new babysitter!"

Molly rubbed her eyes, squinting in the light. "My new babysitter? But...what happened to Grandma?"

The neighbour man laughed hysterically, scratching the back of his head. "She... uh... fell asleep. Then tied up her own arms and legs then locked herself up in the closet, but it's okay! I'm here now, so you don't have to worry about her anymore. Now come on, get out of bed. We've got a whole night of fun ahead of us..."

Molly glanced at the clock. The small hand was on the eight. "But... it's past my bedtime."

"Bedtime schmedtime! Who needs sleep, huh? I don't sleep, and look at me? Perfectly fine!"

He grinned, and Molly couldn't help but notice how his face twitched. He had little red veins crawling around the whites of his eyes.

Molly sighed. "Okay. I can stay up a little later."

Nny squeed in excitement, moving over to the bed, but then he stopped, gazing around her room suspiciously.

"Who... who were you talking to just now?"

Molly's heart pounded, and then she wilted, yanking the sheets higher until they covered her whole head. "L-Lucia. She was saying mean things to me again."

Nny fell silent, and now all Molly could hear was the ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum of her heart.

She could sense his anger through the blanket. Had she made him mad?

"Where is Lucia? I think it's time we finally got acquainted. Don't worry, I'm quite experienced with talking dolls and statues..."

Molly dragged the sheets away from her head, biting her lip. Nny no longer looked or sounded angry. In fact, he looked calm as he tied his hands behind his back, raising his eyebrow at her.

Molly breathed a shaky sigh and said, "Under the bed. That's... where I hide her..."

Nny kneeled down beside her bed, then pulled out the doll. Molly cried, tugging the blankets closer again.

"No, don't let her say means things to me again!"

He glanced up at her, appalled. "I would never! I know what it's like having your own organics filling your headspace with lies, Molly. Whatever she says to you, it's all lies..."

Tears dripped down her cheeks, and now she squeezed her eyes. "She... says that no one loves me and that I will be alone forever. She said Grandma would send me to the home for bad little girls and that Mommy would leave me, just like Daddy... She... says that I will never see my Daddy again... and... and that you will leave me..."

Nny watched her speechless after she confessed all the mean stuff Lucia told her. His jaw hung loose as she wept before him, burying her face into her hands.

He dipped his own head, wrapping his fingers around the doll's neck as if he wanted to squeeze the life force out of it. He wouldn't stop glaring at it, his whole body trembling as his eyes looked ready to pop from his skull. "Do... do you have any particular attachment to this doll, Molly? Is Lucia dear to you...?"

She wiped her eyes, shaking her head. "N-no... Not since she started saying mean things to me."

"Good. That's all I need to know..."

In a flash, he yanked a knife out from his back pocket and decapitated the doll, and now both halves of Lucia fell to the ground.

Molly yelped, pulling her blankets closer. Even though Lucia was just a doll and said horrible things to her, she still hadn't wanted her to die, and so she started crying.

Nny blinked at her, surprised. "Why are you still crying? She's gone now. She can't say mean things to you anymore."

Molly nodded her head, trying to be brave and put on a smile, but her heart was breaking. Lucia may have been mean to her, but she was still her friend once. It was a bittersweet moment. All the good memories she had with the cabbage patch kid were now tainted with all the nasty things she'd said.

The doll changed around the time her parents started arguing, way before they moved into her new house.

Nny stowed his knife away then came up beside her, nestling down onto the bed. A small smile played across his face. "You really do have a heart of gold, Molly. Crying over a doll that was only cruel to you? I wish I had your sweet resolve, but I'm far too rotten now. I let the cruelty of this world taint me, becoming nothing more than this cold, ghoulish creature that you see before you..."

Molly blinked away tears, watching him curiously.

He sighed, leaning back on his hands. "But I digress... If only there were more people like you in the world. If... only..."

Silence trickled between them, and now the only sound was Molly's faint whimpering. At least her crying had died down somewhat, though she was still broken-hearted.

Lucia was one of the only few things she had left from her old life, back when her Mommy and Daddy still loved each other, but now... she was gone.

"Come on now, stop crying. You have nothing to worry about. As I said, Lucia was only feeding you lies. I would never leave you, Molly, and... someone does love you..."

He chewed his bottom lip, his eyes widening. Something he said seemed to have deeply unsettled him.

Molly tipped her head sideways. "Who loves me?"

"S-someone in this room... maybe... I... I don't know, I'm blabbering again, heh-heh..."

A tiny smile sprung across her face as she finally understood, and now she crawled towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She even pressed her cheek to his, and he leaned away slightly, yet not too much.

"I love you too, NNY, and you're wrong. You're not cold... "

He tensed beneath her arms for a moment. But then his body relaxed, and he reached up to pat her head like he always does. "Thank you, Molly. You make me less cold..."

It was a silly thing to say. She didn't know why he thought he was so cold. He was as warm as a blanket, and he was good to hug.

She let go than to give him back his personal space, and now he rose to his feet, pulling her out of bed. A wide, manic grin spread across his face.

"Wanna stay up all night watching movies?!"

Molly's heart soared. "Yeah!"

"Then let's go!"

He dragged her out of the room, rushing her through the stairs, and Molly felt better already.

She may have lost a friend, but at least she had a new one now. One who would never tell her mean things.

...

Nny and Molly stayed up all night watching cartoons in the end. They couldn't watch horror, since Molly was only six and Nny didn't want to fuck her up like he fucked up Squee, and they couldn't watch romance either because then there would be kissing and nude scenes (and also, romance was gross).

Molly wanted to watch cute stuff like Disney at first. Not that Nny would have minded Disney all that much, but every one of them had a happy ending, and Molly didn't need false promises.

So that ruled out all the Disney Princess movies: No Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, or Cinderella.

The child insisted on the first move since it was her favourite and she liked all the songs, but Nny refused. Not even the original mermaid in the Hans Christian Anderson version had a happy ending (spoiler: the mermaid dies after finally gaining a soul once she saved the human prince from the Sea Witch).

In the end, they watched Ren and Stimpy, since it was Molly's favourite TV show, and who needs a singing mermaid when you've got a psychotic Chihuahua and a fat dumbass cat?

The show was a little fucked up for children. The cat had a love affair with a chicken carcass in one episode, and Nny worried for Molly's sanity; she watched it with a deadpan expression and shit. She was desensitized...

When the line came up from the fat cat Stimpy: "I love chicken and chicken loves me!" she laughed.

It was funny, Nny supposed, but Molly was six... She wasn't supposed to laugh at fucked up shit.

Pooh. Maybe they should have just watched The Little Mermaid... The Chihuahua was kinda creepy and even freaked Nny out a little.

He wasn't a fan of the toy breed of dog after all, ever since one followed him home late one night.

"Ha, he loves chicken..." Molly said, blurry-eyed, pointing at the screen like a zombie, and she was falling asleep.

It was getting late. Eleven PM.

Nny really wasn't a good influence on her...

"Are you getting tired?"

She shook her head. "No. N-not sleepy..."

As the words left her mouth, she closed her eyes, almost passing out. But then she opened them again and exclaimed, "I'm awake!"

He narrowed his eyes, watching her suspiciously. "Okay..."

They continued to watch the Ren & Stimpy Show. Once the creepy chicken episode ended, another one came on, and that was when Molly placed her head against his shoulder, shutting her eyes.

Nny sighed. "Molly? You said you weren't tired!"

She startled, jumping upright. "I'm... I'm not... I'm just... watching TV with my eyes closed..."

He ground his teeth, keeping one eye on her now as she opened and shut her eyes, and look at her, questioning sleep like a smaller, more adorable version of Nny, yet she was doing it all wrong!

She was caving, and Nny had much to teach her...

He turned his focus back on the TV. The Chihuahua refused to brush his teeth this episode, and now they were all falling out.

What a way to traumatize a child...

Molly hardly seemed fazed by it all. In fact, she was falling asleep on Nny again, and he released a gritted sigh, switching the TV off via remote.

"That's it. It's time you went to bed."

"No! I... d-don't need sleep... I... can stay awake forever..."

"No, you can't, because you're not me!"

"Nnnghhh..."

Nny growled and rose from the couch. Yet the moment he moved, though, her head hit the cushion since Nny had been the only thing holding her up.

He exhaled once again; he didn't get paid enough for this shit...

"You poor, gullible creature... You're always a slave to something. No matter how hard you try, in the end, you can't fight it."

He may as well be talking to himself since the child was dreaming away in dreamland now. Must be nice to wake up so certain, to still have so much clarity. Nny envied her. He truly did.

Best he got her up to bed. Her mother would be home soon, so he had to leave. Also, Grandma was still locked in the closet...

Lifting her up gently in his arms, which was surprising, considering what Nny's arms were capable of, he carried her to her bedroom, pausing just outside the bathroom.

Should he wake her up and make her brush her teeth? That last episode of Ren and Stimpy played on his mind, and he didn't want her to lose all her teeth.

He was indecisive, but in the end, he let it be and took her to her room, placing her down onto the bed. One night couldn't hurt, right?

Babysitting was hard work. But he was still a far better babysitter than that old lady downstairs, who'd sent the little girl to bed without so much as a morsel. Nny had to order her pizza in the end, so at least she didn't go hungry.

Nny dragged the sheets over her and watched as she slept like a little angel, smiling to himself.

He really had found himself the best friend in the world. Molly meant so much to him now, and that created its own problems.

She was just a child, and he was a cold-hearted serial killer. And it finally dawned on him that in this reality, they couldn't be friends...

Nny was going to destroy her innocence like he'd destroyed Squee's. Nny was not the only one at fault for that small boy's fate, but he wouldn't be the cause of Molly's insanity. She watched cartoons about psychotic Chihuahuas of all things and laughed. Not a good sign.

But he could not leave her either. He was the only friend she had in the world, and who else was going to absorb all the shit from her soul?

Also, he had pinkie promised to be her friend forever.

What a horrible pickle he had found himself in, but bittersweet... and almost poetic. Nny had finally found himself a friend, but he couldn't be friends with her...

Not if he truly loved her.

Fuck Nny and his entire soul, that hurt.

A car pulled up outside the house at last, and that was Nny's cue to leave. He leaned close to Molly and patted her head.

"G'night, Molly. Don't let the flesh-eating demon bed babies bite."

Quickly, he moved towards the window, stealing one last look at Molly before he slipped away. He truly was going to poison her sweet mind.

Just like Lucia warned him before he decapitated her head.

A nasty doll indeed. He was glad he killed it.

With a sigh, he slipped out the window and disappeared into the night.

Nny had a lot of soul-searching to do, and he knew the perfect place...

If you truly love someone, you let them go.

I bet you're crying now.

Yeah, Lucia talked to Nny, just like Schmee did...

Toys just do not like him.

Nny is going to do soul-searching at the hill where he had his date with Devi. He seems to be rather fond of it.

Once again, thank you for reading. This was a cute chapter. Babysitter Nny was hilarious.

Well, g'night. Don't let the flesh-eating demon bed babies bite.
